I had to pay extra for what I thought I had already paid for. They 600p extra and I had clearly bought a mini apartment is what my original purchase was supposed to be in 600 extra basically got the same thing that was described. I just didn’t wanna argue about it.

The house was comfortable, in front of the beach, friendly host, Good price highly recommended

- in den oberen Zimmern ist es relativ leise - die Zimmer sind völlig in Ordnung und groß - nettes Personal - direkt gegenüber der Unterkunft liegt ein Strand, an dem man kostenlos schwimmen kann und wo ich auch Schildkröten und Korallen gesehen habe

- das günstigste Zimmer liegt unten an der Straße und dort ist es extrem laut - die typisch philippinische Klimaanlage ist laut und analog zu bedienen

We were not given the room that was offered on your website. The hotel manager was extremely rude when I informed him of this issue.

Great location, great hosts, lovely big room with a view.

Great hosts, even helped me with some printing! Beautiful wee spot right by the highway. Rooms are basic but great for the price and has everything you need.

The owners and staff are such wonderful people. It has a beautiful view and going to Carmen or Catmon is close and easy. Short drive to the hot springs.

We stayed in a transformed family house, perfectly done, the all over maintenance was superb. The lawn, the house, everything! The owners do everything from the heart. Then, the view! Fabulous. As the name of the property indicates, from the road to the house is 88 steps. Imagine the view! For us it was just an escape from the daily routine, since we live not far from the place. Certainly a place to visit again!

We cannot think of something that we did not like. One tip, if you just visit for a short stay, bring some food, since there is not much around and some rooms have their kitchenette. So you can dine on one of the terraces and enjoy the view.

The view was amazing. The owners were both accomodating. A good place to stay when you want to relax and unwind with the wide view of the sea and mountain.

I really like the location, very country feel, relax environment, birds singing and so peaceful, so comfy, I slept like a baby. Always staying here (every year) visiting friends and relatives. As usual the owner ( Mr & Mrs Middleton ) wonderful people and very accommodating. Likeable people and you feel at home.

I love the area as it was quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for a peace away from home then this place of heaven is for you. No wifi, no TV just pure serenity. We stayed here for 10 days and it was amazing. The owner looked after us, Roger and Lourdes. The staff are great and gracious and always ready to open the gate for us. It's a big bonus to a cat and dog lover like me and my partner, they have a dog named handsome and cutie cats. It was a memorable experience.

Place is clean and affordable. owners were both friendly.

Roger and Filimina are great. They greet their guests warmly and graciously. The premises reflect their labor of love and personal touch from design and build of the building to the lovely landscaping throughout. And the views from the perch above the main highway affords tranquility and respite for the weary travellor and the city escapee for the weekend. I extended my 3 night stay to 5. It's a wonderful way to while away the day.

Love the location, Mr n Mrs Middleton ( owner) and the staffs were very accommodating, nice garden n views to the sea, clean and just very comfortable to stay. Will stay here again hopefully next year.

The owners are very nice, our stay was very nice. The room had everything we needed and was very clean. The best part was the view.

It has complete kitchen amenities ,all the rooms are very clean..everything is cozy and relaxing..plus the owner is very kind and accomodating..I will definitely come back..

The property is set along the road and offers a great view overlooking the sea. I stayed in the eco room which provides everything including a kettle and drinking water. Earplugs recommended for the night 'cause the traffic down below maybe troublesome. Very friendly welcome from Roger who is a gentleman and thank you for the papaya straight from the garden. I am an addict and it was one of the best I tasted :-) P.s. Don't forget to change the mattress ;-)

Very nice room. Felt at home with the place. It was always great to wake up in the morning to a sea view. Sunsets by the sea view were beautiful as well. Parking is available at the top, the drive is a bit steep but not that hard to drive through. The owners were very nice and also the staff.

The location in Catmon was right off the main road. Signage was clear, and our greeting and welcome superb. Hosts Roger and Lourdes are consummate innkeepers. We had a hankering for some fruit juice in the evening and in spite of them not having any, they still made it happen. They went above and beyond. Lovely people! Perched on an escarpment overlooking the Camotes Sea, the views are stunning and the landscaped gardens exquisite.

Everything was just right.

We booked the room by error as the geo localisation of booking sent us there but the idea was to sleep there and take the next day the boat from Hagnaya port. I write several times to the establishment to tell them I would arrive late and if would be far from Hagnaya port and that we would take the boat the next day. so they were aware of my plans but at no moment they said anything kind of that the hotel is very far away from the port. Than I realised it was very far. I contacted the establishment the day before explaining the case and asking for reimbursement. They wait for the next day to reply and denied. Obviously the are in their right but still not very nice. just because of that I wouldn’t book there anymore neither would I recommend anyone staying

Every facility is good.I was especially satisfied with Cleanliness and hospitality. However,it is so far from the city.So if you utilise this accommodation, you should bring ingredients.

Nice ocean view, friendly people, clean room and everything, but unfortunately in the middle of nowhere. If you don't have your own car or motorcycle, then don't go.

Great management and staff. I highly recommend staying at the High steps pension. I’m ready to retire and move to the Philippines because of the great experience I had at the High steps pension. You will enjoy your visit to the Philippines and stay at the high steps pension.

If you are looking for a nice peaceful and scenic hotel, high on the hill overlooking the ocean. This is the place to be. Roger and his wife are excellent hosts, who will help you with anything you need. The studio rooms all have air con. and hot showers, with comfortable beds. A kitchenette, refrigerator, mini gas stove with cooking utensils, plates and silverware and a hot water maker for coffee or tea is also available with a purified water dispenser The only set back is that it does not have a restaurant there. The closest ones are about 3kms in Carmen or Catmon. The natural beauty of the grounds and views from the balcony's of your own room are very scenic. There is even a library with wi-fi available there too.

Staying at High Steps Pension was a real good experience, far above my expectations.

This was a very basic, budget hotel. Very clean. It offered a small kitchenette, clean water, and beautiful views. I don’t recommend staying there if you have trouble with stairs as it is situated on a hillside. Hot showers.
