Το νερό στο ντους γινόταν ξαφνικά από καυτό παγωμένο ,κανένας δεν μιλάει αγγλικά ,κανένας δεν μας βοήθησε με τις αποσκευές ,τα μενού είναι μόνο στα τούρκικα ,παρά πολύ ακριβό για τις παροχές του !

Le ménage de notre chambre n'a pas été fait le premier matin et il a fallu réclamer plusieurs fois pour avoir au moins des serviettes propres. Nous avons fait le lit nous-mêmes... Le personnel donnait l'impression d'être un peu laxiste.

De ligging is heel fijn, mooi uitzicht op de havenzijde.

Het ontbijt was zeer matig. Vrij weinig keuze aan echt brood. Was alles behalve een Turks ontbijt wat wij gewend zijn.

The rooms and facilities were old., they needed a refresh. Our room has paint peeling off, an old toilet and there was cigarette burns on the chair

There is a beautiful pair at the back with incredible sunset views over Greece in the distance.

It would appear that they have tried their best to put in quality fixtures and fittings, for example a large mirror in the bedroom which has a TV built into it which is a nice idea but doesn’t quite function very well. The biggest disappointment was the shower in room 107 actually was like a waterfall spraying water in the shower., over the entire door, across the room and covering pretty much every single part of the room. When I mention it on departure, there is no acknowledgement that it was an issue and maybe this was just a language barrier. So benefit of the doubt.

The breakfast is quite simple. Bad filter cofee.

Right on waterfront and easy access for driving in and out, unlike rest of Ayvalik. Beds were comfortable for Turkey. Beautiful deck area facing water.

Staff were bit offhand and didn’t provide a lot of instructions on WIFI which is different for overseas tourists. Breakfast was pretty basic and not to usual Turkish standards.

The view from our room was lovely and the room was very clean

The staff. They were miserable and offered no welcome. They helped me connect to wifi but offered no info about the hotel or surrounds. The hotel felt like it was only partially operational. The bar was empty of guests as were the gardens outside. The coffee machine wasn’t working and a sign on the wall pointed to a patisserie but it was a big empty fridge. The whole place just seemed empty and devoid of any life but there were guest in the dining area at breakfast time.

Das Gym war komplett zu! Was aber bei Buchung nirgends zu sehen war.Es gab nur Aussicht zur Straße die unfassbar laut war. Wände wie Fenster so gut wie nicht isoliert man hört Gespräche auf der Straße und im Nachbarzimmer mit. Pool Öffnung von 11-16 Uhr als wenn man eine Nacht nicht auch nicht nutzbar, da Check-in ab frühestens 15 Uhr und checkout 11:30 Uhr. Im Netz stehen ganz andere Zeiten und das Personal ist voll frech und behauptet es stehe so im Netz. Frühstück waren die warmen Speisen kalt.

Good location, by the sea and the ferry terminal. A bit out of the centre of town, but has parking, which was mainly why we chose it, and is quite a bonus in Ayvalik. Comfortable enough.

A bit tired. Poor quality breakfast, which we gave up on after Day 1. A bit of a DIY feeling to the outdoor seaside terrace, which could be such a lovely feature. Somewhat disinterested staff.

It is close to the port so if you do not have a car, it is a comfortable option. The hotel is at the sea front and have a good view for breakfast.

The decoration, material and service in the hotel is cheap and distasteful. It does not worth the price it charges. The staff's behavior was disappointingly unprofessional. I was asked to pay 25 EUR more than the price in booking due to exchange rate. I chose to pay cash in EUR to avoid the extra charges, but they refused to give me a receipt for the cash until I would check out. I asked to pay upon checking out, the staff said 'No pay, no room'! While I had my credit card registered as guarantee with booking. I found it rude and unprofessional. They could not speak much of English and upon discussion with their manager, the problem was solved, but I was already quite upset.

Great for an early morning ferry as it’s a 5 minute walk away. The bed was large and comfortable with 2 good pillows each. Shower was great and some nice toiletries provided like olive oil hand soap. Breakfast was pretty good. The restaurant meal was basic but good, but the outside dock was wonderful to sit and watch the sunset from.

The room was too hot, and it was too noisy to have the air conditioner on. Some aspects of the bathroom are a bit tired, the decor is plain.

Gorgeous view from my room. I absolutely loved the refreshing water views while enjoying the scrumptious breakfast buffet. This was by far my most pleasant lodging experience in Türkiye.

I am not a huge fan of cats, but especially when eating a meal. If you leave anything on your plate to go back to the buffet, it may get nibbled on by a stray cat.

Location on the waterfront was excellent. Was not in the heart of town. Was a little bit close to the mosque so the chant was audible in the room with the window shut. Loved the free valet parking – was very convenient if you have a car.

Smoking, smoking, smoking… Everywhere Not possible to walk down the stairs to get to the ground floor without being assaulted by Smooke in the stairwells. Couldn’t open window because people were smoking outside the restaurant below the room. Lobby and front desk smelled of smoke. Nothing seem to work on the first go… – Room climate control. - Key for Room - wi-Fi barely adequate when working and wasn’t working most of the time…

We stayed one night at the Bacacan. The pictures online only show one wing of the hotel which overlooks the water. But in fact there is a second wing (at 90 degrees to the sea view wing) that overlooks the busy main road through Ayvalik. Fortunately I booked a sea view room which was lovely as we could open the windows and look straight out to sea. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was OK. Nothing special. Valet parking onsite/next door is available. The hotel has no grounds or garden and is located literally on the side of the main road as it used to be a soap factory. But eating breakfast outside at the back was pleasant.

Located on the waterfront, We had two rooms for our family with water view to die for (A highlight of the hotel). Front desk staff were very helpful and were welcoming. Hotel Facilities staff were also very helpful with a request we had. The breakfast was ok, with a limited selection though., The hotels jetty was a perfect location for breakfast.

The staff looking after the dining (Breakfast in particular) could be a little more welcoming, no smiles unfortunately :( better interaction with guests would go a long way

It's worth choosing a sea-facing room - they're right on the water. The room was spacious and well designed. Good shower room. It's a short walk to shops and restaurants. A peaceful stay.

Breakfast was good, but I ordered dinner from the restaurant, and it was substandard.

It was clean and the location was good. Reception people were very kind and helped me a lot.

The WiFi was not working inside the room, it only worked close to entrance of the room. I had booked a room with the sea view and balcony but I was give a room with the street view and without balcony. I informed the reception people but they said we have no other room, how come you show rooms with service at booking.com and guests book and pay but at the hotel they don't get what they have paid for? This is against the policy and against the contract between the guest and the hotel and this is not fair and not acceptable.

Nice hotel with atentive staff and proper service. Well situated in the city and close to good restaurants and service. We enjoyed the flexibility of food delivery in house and from outside supplier. The rooms is spacious and clean. Good place to stay at.

I have stayed at the Bacacan twice now, each time just for one night before catching the ferry to Lesvos. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms with a view of the bay are very nice--roomy, clean, and the view is amazing.

Today we called the hotel and asked if there was a room. It was said that there is a room and we came from a long distance. with us with 2 kids. then we were told no. they were very disrespectful and never helped. I never recommend!
