The property required some work! The location and outdoor facilities were awesome. The inside needed some work and seemed as if the new owners rushed to get the property running again. The room was large and comfortable. This place could be an absolute gem with some additional love (a fan would be great start).

No air in the room, and some care to cleaning was required. Having said that it was not terrible.

Quick service

Everything was dirty and worn out. The blanket was dirty, the shower curtain was dirty, etc. When you charge $167, you might spend $5 to wash the beddings. It was disgusting.

While we enjoyed our stay and it was very clean, we felt the towels could be replaced. Pure white is always awesome. Having said that, we were comfortable and towels and every thing about the place was clean. Just would look better new. Our second stay proves we enjoyed it. Would definitely stay again while travelling in this area.

It was a very clean nice quiet spot, with comfortable beds and easy to use television.

There was only one pillow for each person.

You could see the owners are doing the place up and even though we had a room that had been renovated, it is definitely not five stars. Blind River is limited with choice of motels. The staff were more than pleasant. They have a huge restaurant that is not being used, may I suggest that they do a breakfast as they have the facilities.

The value of the stay just wasn’t there, no hog mat at the entrance, resulting in wet floors throughout the room, curtains did not fully close, marks on the wall, the crown trim was not fully finished (gaps) , not fully done, very dated look, even though they said, renovated rooms. Definitely not a romantic day.

There was a problem with the heater

Good location for a quick overnight stay along our route. Close to gas stations and fast food restaurants.

Not very sound proof. A lot of outside noise came into our room. And the curtains were not dark enough, letting in too much light.

A decent road side stay. The rooms have been updated but they feel worn and tired still. The restaurant is closed and the pool is also. It’s much better than when I stayed here a few years ago. But, it’s a stretch for the price compared to other hotel/motels near by.

Great night

We didn't stay there because the power was out....no lights, refrigeration, heat, etc. The host graciously refunded our money.

The recently updated room was clean and quiet comfortable ….perfect. And the owner operators were warm and friendly.

The check in was fast and friendly. The room was in excellent condition with a comfortable bed!

Curt desk staff, decrepit flooring, vague smell of sewage . Otherwise clean and quiet.

The rooms were renovated and clean. Nice bedding and pillows. I like the drive up to room option and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Checked in late and up early so I can’t comment on the rest of the property.

An attached restaurant with good home cooked food. It was a simple roadside motel. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable for an overnight stay.

Renovations are well done on an older facility. Very clean. Great beds. Excellent service.

Quick and friendly check in. Room was clean. No noise at night and I got a great night's sleep. Bed mattress was firm and comfortable. TV and internet quality was great. I'll be coming back here on my next trip to the area.

The rooms were clean, there was a good restaurant on site.

TV didn't have as many stations as the other room we had. But that could have been our lack of knowledge.

One bed creaked badly. Water for shower/sink took a very long time to get hot. Quite noisy from traffic. Could really put a proper coffee machine in the room.

Overall, room was a very generous size, and we really appreciated that there was no carpeting. Liked the ceiling light, which is a great feature as most hotel/motel rooms do not have ceiling lights. Room was very clean, but some areas are showing its age. The table tops are worn & flooring missing a section (potential tripping hazard). We were only staying one day, but should we have stayed longer extra hangers would have been appreciated. There was only one supplied hanger. We were disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t open on the day we arrived (Sunday) nor was it open the following morning. We had a function at 11:00 am which was the time the restaurant opened on the Monday. We had picked this motel because of the attached restaurant, but never got to use the restaurant. Definitely appreciated that room came with small fridge, microwave & coffee machine. Good to know for future stay. Also appreciated the luggage rack, that is always a nice touch. Also, a folding chair was provided which was definitely handy in bathroom to put extra supplies on when getting ready. All in all, we would stay here again.

The heat in the room was turned off so the room temp was the same as the outside temperature- which was below zero. We would have had to wear our coats for an hour or two until the room warmed up. Consequently we left. I asked the owners to give me a receipt to confirm that we did not use the room and had checked out. They refused to do this. We own recreational rentals in both Canada and Belize. We always turn on the heat or air conditioning before guests arrive.
