Meruhdani Boutique Hotel Ubud

De locatie was super fijn. Je bent in de drukte maar het hotel is zo gelegen dat je er in je kamer helemaal geen last van hebt . De tuin is ook echt prachtig en je ziet dat hij met heel veel liefde en zorg word onderhouden 🩷

Er is niet echt iets wat mij niet beviel . Het enige wat misschien goed is om door te geven dat de kitrand van het bad vernieuwd kan worden, dat is het enige wat niet zo fris eruit zag. Maar dat is dan ook echt alles.

Abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte di rientro dalle isole Gili prima di ripartire per l' Italia. Subito siamo stati accolti dallo staff molto cordialmente e col sorriso. Struttura pulita, con ampia doccia, bello spazio esterno, meravigliosa piscina stile balinese immersa nel verde. Posizione eccellente centralissima ma percorrendo una brevissima salita di pochi passi ti teneva lontano da l traffico cautico del centro di Ubud.

Huoneessa vedenkeitin, jääkaappi ja tallelokero. Tervetuliaisdrinkkivoucher viereiseen ravintolaan. Vettä sai vastaanotosta halutessaan.

Aamupalavaihtoehdot niukahkot. Kahvia sai vain yhden kupillisen. Terassin ovi oli jäykkä, meni lukkoon, mutta jäi yläpäästään raolleen. Lämmintä vettä vähän.

The doors dimly full close so you hear the outside world, which is fine when it’s nature, less so when all you hear is the drone of aircon systems.

The location is walking distance to many places to shop, grab a coffee, dine, or enjoy a massage.

Lots of stairs to lobby and 3rd floor room. Restaurant is close by, but not on site.

Breakfast location was great, a cafe next door. Good enough to get you going. Coffee was great. Location was perfect, close enough to main street but far enough to be fairly quiet. Staff were great.

Few ants around. Had to spray the room.

La struttura in generale non è pulitissima, abbiamo dovuto farci cambiare lenzuola e federe, ci sono veramente troppe zanzare (evidentemente non fanno trattamenti al giardino, ecc.). Il fatto che per fare colazione devi uscire dalla struttura non è specificato al momento della prenotazione. Inoltre in agosto 2026 durante il nostro soggiorno, stavano svolgendo dei lavori edili che causavano molto rumore forte.

Precioso hotel bien ubicado

La ubicación, calidad-precio, jardín. La ubicación es excepcional, metido en una calle con encanto, junto a las principales de Ubud, pero no tan ruidosa. El jardín y el entorno de la piscina son muy bonitas, la habitación en un primer vistazo es amplia y con decoración bonita. En cuanto al desayuno, se hace en el restaurante que está al lado, correcto. Por el precio está bastante bien, aunque se echan en falta opciones más ligeras como unas simples tostadas con mantequilla y mermelada o un croissant, para quien no está acostumbrado a comer huevos revueltos. Había un par de opciones dulces (French toast y pancake), pero también eran muy pesadas.

Limpieza regular, ruido inesperado por la noche. El primer día nos avisaron de que había trabajos de construcción al lado (de hecho, creo que son del mismo hotel) de 10.00 a 17.00, lo que no nos imaginábamos es que el segundo día de nuestra estancia empezaran a descargar material a las 5 de la madrugada haciendo un ruido tremendo. Fui a la persona de seguridad de la entrada, ya que no hay nadie en recepción a partir de las 23.00, y solo pudo decirme que lo comentara en recepción a la mañana siguiente... Cosa que hice. Se disculparon muy amablemente, pero ninguna solución. Otro punto negativo es la limpieza, y es que las toallas y las sábanas tienen manchas,aunque estén limpias. Creo que sería conveniente no poner sábanas blancas, que hacen las manchas tan visibles. El escritorio muy pegajoso y la nevera con un olor a Durian terrible, y también muy ruidosa.

It’s a very nice hotel that immediately gives you a sense of relaxation. The rooms look exactly like they do in the photos and are very spacious. I had a room with direct access to the lagoon, which made the whole stay feel even more relaxing and peaceful. The staff is also very nice and friendly.

Bathroom was looking tired and a bit mouldy. Water pressure was only just adequate. Main doors not secure and don't lock properly, can just be pulled apart when locked. Had to be the slowest kettle in Bali.

Very good pool. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast (but very limited). The massage services and drivers recommended by them were very good and staff was helpful before our arrival with everything we needed during the trip organization.

There is no overhead shower and the hose is too short - if you are taller than an 8-yo kid, the hose is not long enough to hold over your head, forcing you to bend/crouch in the tub. Their breakfast model consists of a limited à la carte menu from their sister cafe next door from which you can choose one option of juice, one of coffee and one dish. The food is very good but insufficient (he had to complement it, paying for extra portions every day). However, what mostly affected our stay was the hotel’s cleanliness. This is the first time we stay at a hotel that had the room smell worse after the cleaning crew has left it, leaving behind a strong smell of body odor. We’ve brought that to management’s attention and they apologized (no action taken, that we know of). The bathroom rug and the bed sheets were stained and were never changed (the rug was literally grimy when we left).

This hotel was ideal for our family. The location was brilliant. Close to the Main Street, shops and restaurants. The hotel itself was lovely and clean with brilliant aircon. The breakfast that was included was one of the best we have had with a great selection. The staff were amazing. So friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Special mention to Octa who was brilliant with our 3 year old and was so lovely. Would highly recommend Meruhdani Boutique for your stay in Ubud

De accommodatie was mooi gelegen om het zwembad heen. De kamers waren ruim en netjes. Het personeel was erg aardig. Het hotel staat in het centrum maar een stukje van de weg af. Je hebt daardoor geen last van het drukke verkeer. Je ontbijt in een tentje naast het hotel. Erg leuk koffie tentje.

Hotel is located in a calm side street in Central Ubud, with many restaurants in its immediate vicinity. Breakfast is served at the nearby "Pukako" restaurant, for which you receive coupons that can eventually be used for selected food items, juices as well as hot beverages. Food very tasty but portion sizes are small. Nice pool area and garden, at the on-site massage center we enjoyed relaxing massages twice. They also offer a very reasonably priced laundry service, which worked very well. Staff is very nice and accommodating.

Bed sheets had stains on it (quite a few), which were though changed upon request.

The location

The freshly prepared breakfast was absolutely delicious, the cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff were always extremely kind and helpful. The pool is simply beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery, and the hotel’s location is excellent. The only small note is that the room was slightly small; for longer stays or for guests travelling with very large suitcases, it may be preferable to choose a more spacious room category.

De entree daar waren ze druk aan het hakken enzo. Maarja dat moet ook een keer gebeuren.

If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs, as the frogs get pretty loud when it rains.

This place was in a perfect spot right in the heart of Ubud, near everything you could need. The pool was nice, aircon worked well, great service, and having breakfast included at the cafe next door was a bonus. Also got our laundry done through reception which was convenient.

Had a few issues with our shower not working and had to change rooms, but the staff were helpful.

The room was relatively new and had an excellent bathroom with plenty of hot water with good pressure, both in the wash basin and shower. The bed was reasonably comfortable and there was a very nice balcony where we often sat. Access to the room was good as the steps were smaller than usual for Bali and there was a balustrade to assist which, for me, being mobility challenged, was a big plus. The pool was clean and very refreshing, and was surrounded with beautiful gardens and statues. The breakfast, provided by a nearby restaurant, was tasty and adequate. The location of this hotel is fantastic as it is surrounded by good restaurants, a disco, has a laundry nearby and a money changer directly opposite. The staff, particularly the room attendants, were extremely friendly and very helpful, as were the porters and the staff generally. Additionally, opposite our room, was the entrance to a massage facility set in a very relaxing garden. Highly recommended.

The entrance walkway to the hotel is quite steep and was very challenging for me. Hand railings are recommended, both there and also at the stairs to the lower level on the left side of the building. The reception is located up a number of stairs which I found impossible to navigate. During our stay the water was turned off twice without our being warned about it. However the reception staff claimed they tried to contact us by telephone but we were not in the room at the time. The chairs on the balcony in room 116 were straight backed, hard and very uncomfortable, unlike the chairs in other rooms. It is recommended they be replaced with more comfortable chairs. The internet was very patchy which resulted in very poor TV reception. In fact we didn’t even bother turning it on. This was not the case during previous visits when the TV, particularly Netflix, was quite good.

O ambiente do hotel é muito bonito, bem típico de Ubud. Arquitetura típica balinesa. A piscina é pequena mas é adequada se o plano não é ficar muito no hotel. O quarto era bastante completo, com amenidades. A staff super solícita e simpática, acho que foi a melhor parte da viagem! O café da manhã também foi delicioso. A localização é excelente, a um quarteirão a pé da avenida principal e fácil acesso ao centro de compras, cafés, lojas...

Achei o quarto muito devassado com a porta de correr de vidro. Apenas uma cortina separava meu quarto de se tornar um big brother para os demais hóspedes. A noite, eu já estava deitada quando comecei a ouvir barulhos estranhos de algo no andar de cima arranhando o chão. A decoração do quarto me pareceu genérica e barata, com roupa de cama meio gasta e o colchão rangia um pouco. Achei destoante com a decoração externa, que era bem típica e realmente impressionava. Falta pontos de energia no quarto.

On a eu un problème dans notre chambre équipée d’une douche et d’une baignoire malheureusement la douche ne fonctionnait pas, et la baignoire on avait qu’un filet d’eau . donc forcément on a été voir la réception qui devait résoudre le problème. Malheureusement ça a duré trois jours et rien ne changé.

Desde el primer día, la presión del agua en la ducha era tan baja que resultaba imposible ducharse. Lo comunicamos al alojamiento desde el inicio y la respuesta fue que lo estaban arreglando, pero el problema no se solucionó durante toda la estancia (3 noches). Además, el último día dejó de funcionar también la cadena del WC, lo que empeoró aún más la situación. Pedimos cambio de habitación, pero no nos lo ofrecieron. Para un alojamiento con este precio y esta categoría, no es aceptable tener problemas tan básicos en la habitación. Además, la conexión WiFi en nuestra habitación era muy lenta y no permitía navegar con normalidad. A esto se suma que el desayuno no es buffet en el propio hotel, sino en un bar de al lado. Para los huéspedes existe una carta distinta, mucho más limitada, en la que solo se permite elegir 1 café o 1 zumo y un plato principal muy escaso, que además no corresponde a la carta general del local.

The pool area was good. And the pool was a good size. Breakfast was good, although we had to go to another building nearby for it. Great location for nearby bars and restaurants.

There was a lot of hammering and banging going on nearby. Not sure if it was from hotel or a nearby location but it was loud during the day.
