At Kamala Hotel

Great location close to the busy part of town and 3 minute walk to the beach. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The staff were friendly but were not always available.

When I arrived at the hotel there was no signage to say where the reception was. There was a sign up on a light pole but the entrance is past a seafood restaurant and you have to walk through Sync coffee shop to find a little reception desk at the back. Not what I needed after a long flight. The most annoying thing was the lack of a pool. While the information on Bookings.com didn’t actually state a pool, the photos showed sun chairs, umbrellas and an outdoor shower which strongly suggested that there was a pool. Lugging suitcases up the stairs (due to there being no lift) was a challenge although there are only a couple of floors.

Great location next to the river and love the swimming pool.. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

All good

Also nicht nutzbar.

Cista a pekna izba, velmi moderne a chutne ranajky

Right in centre . Great little coffee shop underneath. Very clean. Nice welcome drink and cookie. Beach towels and mats complimentary and water every day . 2 mins walk to beach

Great location, amazing coffee, nice restaurants and massage shops around. We stayed in 3 different locations in Phuket and this was far best, with very comfortable beds.

I got a room with no view and it was not written at my booking. Owner was moving me to the upper floor the next day. Please clarify this when you book this hotel upfront.

It's proximity to the central town

The stuff is often missing and there is nothing to talk with and I got a room upstairs that was filled with cooking smells because Venice was the chimney of the restaurant. But you pay what you get from

Right in the middle of the bars and restaurants but we had a room away from the noise. Basic room but very clean with everything you might need including a welcome drink. Nice staff. Coffee shop attached in the reception that served lovely coffee and pastries. Oh and fabulous shower!

There is no lift but we were aware of that just need others to be aware. Property isn’t that easy to find

Lage, spez.

Eigenlijk niets

Lovely big room with a nice little balcony overlooking the pool of the neighbouring hotel. The bed was big and very comfortable. The maid brought us beach towels every day and kept the room clean. The location was fantastic with bars, restaurants and shops right outside and it was only a short distance to the beach.

The bathroom let the accommodation down. It looked like it was unfinished as the walls were just grey plaster that had been waterproofed. It would have been more in keeping had it tiled.

This was my third stay here. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the beach and very close to the large 7-Eleven. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The coffee shop downstairs serves great coffee, and the rates are affordable. Definitely my go-to place in Kamala Beach.

Location is excellent. 2 minutes to beach and surrounded by restaurants and bars

All good

Flott sted , veldig bra kafé i resepsjonen og flott beliggenhet nær stranden. Rimelig i forhold til en del andre lignende hotel

Nice hotel with a great location to beach. We enjoyed our stay.

great location near to restaurants bars and beach

Everything, nice people, delicious and unique beer flavors at the entrance cafe-bar.

Bang for buck, felt more like a 3 star.

Clean, fresh interior, friendly staff

A wonderful place to stay near Kamala beach. Although the area is busy the hotel is nice and peaceful. The staff were so friendly and happy. The room was spacious and clean with a really comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our time here and felt very welcome.

Easily walkable to Kamala Beach, the staff were very friendly. The rooms were very clean, loved the shower and the bed. Ample places for storage.

Felt a bit like a hotel speak-easy, where you had to walk through the cafe to get to the rooms. Also, wish the property had a pool, but not a major issue.

This is a great little local hotel. The reception is at the back of the Sync coffee house, which is a little bit confusing the first time you go there. But it’s near to the beach and a lot of local restaurants. It doesn’t have a lift and there’s no facilities such as a swimming pool etc.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Just so all are aware no elevator or pool on this property. Extremely close to the lovely beaches. Hotel provided umbrellas, mats and large towels for use at the beach. Has a delightful coffee shop on the main floor.

Room was clean and spacious, good bathroom, excellent location. Everything you want for the price.

Location was great. Walked to everything. Beautiful hotel with surprising quiet rooms.

Everything

A nice little hotel to stay at a couple of nights. Friendly staff and a plus that you get beach towels. The rooms are nice, maybe a little bit old but the cleaning was good. They have a really nice coffee bar in the lobby which served great coffee.

Comfortable bed, good shower - spotlessly clean and saff were very friendly. Excellent location for the beach and restaurants. Beach towels and mats were also available. Cool internet cafe at reception.

Price was high for this type of accomodation. Room was smaller than expected.

Good location. Modern and clean. Close to beach.

This is a nice no frills hotel. In the center of the beach. Walkable. 3 Floors and no elevator. Very clean

Clearly this hidden gem is worthy of a 4 star rating

Amazing hotel, great location, strong AC, clean room. Very responsive host. Would definitely stay again

The place is just 100m and one street from the beach, The room is not so big but very clean with a small balcony, The staff was really efficient, helpful and smiley and good English speaking There is a very good coffee shop on the ground floor with fabulous expressos

The bed, location, the staff

They didn't have Elevator but I knew so it is not An big deal.

Basic but good value for money. excellent location!!!

No phone in the room and there was not someone on reception all the time!

Location is perfect. Great Sync coffee shop on ground floor. Excellent staff and cleanliness.

Perfect!!!! Cozy and comfortable (harder) beds with 2-2 huge pillows. The view was nice (a little bit of the sea), the room was light. Free beach towel at the reception desk. The receptionist lady was helpful, arranged taxi, helped with motorcycle renting. Absolutely recommended.

A wall or a curtain would be nice around the shower. But it's a small thing.

Room with a window very near to another hotel not very good

The position of the room

The location is pretty good, 5 mins to beach, many shops and restaurants right on your doorstep. The cafe was excellent.

Room and balcony were pretty small and the toilet and shower in one small separate room. Aircon was the biggest issues as it takes quite a while for it to cool the room and after walking up the stairs it was pretty uncomfortable for about half an hour.

Very friendly staff, great location, amazing breakfast. We will be back for sure. Great quiet area, no ping pong shows, plenty of shopping and massages.

The location was very central and close to the beach so walking everywhere was very convenient Downstairs there is a cute coffee/breakfast cafe that was very convenient and the coffee was great

Everything was great at the hotel. Kamala was very crowded and the beach was not as nice as we were hoping

Breakfast was fantastic, served from Kamala Seafood- best family run restaurant in town. The service is friendly and professional. Hotel Manager and his staff went above and beyond to help. Hotel has great wifi Sync Coffee attached to the hotel is an independent coffee house with a chilled vibe serving an awesome selection of coffees.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel in a "deluxe double" room on the 3rd floor (#304). First of all, it's kind of an odd set-up in which the reception desk is actually in the back corner of the Sync Coffee Bar, located down a small alley off the street. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a large bed, small wardrobe with a safe box, fridge, kettle, tiny TV (but with a very good selection of channels), wet style bathroom, and a small balcony with a table and chairs. No view except of the neighbor's roof, but lots of natural light in this room. Lower floors may not have this luxury. What was lacking though, was a desk of any kind. There was a little bit of space next to the fridge, but I wouldn't call this a desk, nor was there a chair, so if you need to work on your laptop you may need to go to the cafe downstairs. Also there was an insufficient number of power points in the room - there was only one. Check-in was easy, although I may have timed it just right by good luck. It seemed to me that the reception desk was not always manned, and if the cafe is closed (open 9AM-7PM) it might be difficult to find someone to help you. Location is excellent, a very short walk to the beach and numerous restaurants and bars. Being set back off the road the way it is, the room was super quiet at night, with no street noise at all. I would return to this hotel based on the location and cleanliness of the room, but with the understanding that the facilities are lacking.

Veldig sentralt, hyggelig personal.

it was fresh, clean and not run down and scruffy like all the other places we’ve stayed in. got a little balcony too (currently staying in a different hotel with no window, it’s very claustrophobic!😳), staff very friendly and accommodating (as is the norm in Thailand… such lovely people!). it’s so close to the beach and an assortment of eateries. You have to go through a lovely little coffee shop to get to reception and the coffee shop has some of the best tasting coffee I’ve ever had.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Friendly staff and great restaurants close by.

clean and value for money

very sparse nowhere to put anything tiny balcony looking at a wall

Very friendly and helpfull host and staff. Good atmosphere. Comfortable big bed. Clean. Close to the beach.

No view from the window, just looking at a wall.

Cleaniest hotel I had ever stay!Excelent location.very friendly and helpfull staff, great value for a money, plenty facilities, will definettly cameback:)

Centralt läge, nära till allt:)

Bra start inte så långt från flygplatsen. Modernt och fint. Bra personal och bra frukost.

The service, room and locatin At Kamala was very excellent. One thing to point out, there is no lift so if you have difficulties walking up stairs or carrying heavy luggage , you might have a problem.

Room was very clean and staff was very nice and helpful. The air conditioning took a long time to cool the room down, and it went off randomly in the middle of the night. The bed was SUPER uncomfortable and the hallways were loud which made sleeping while your neighbors were awake a challenge. They offer free beach towels and mats which is great with the beach across the street.

Great location near the beach in Kamala. Convenient to restaurants and shops.

Great location and friendly staff. Comfortable rooms and excellent WiFi.

Location is great as its right in the beachside area of the town. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Everyone in the hotel is super helpful and friendly. The room had a nice rainfall shower and the cleaning and upkeep are exceptionally good. For a small hotel I doubt this could be beaten as it really is that good. They give beach towels and straw mats for use on the beach which is about 2 minutes walk. No complaints or moans at all.

Wonderful find! Clean, super great water pressure, friendly staff, AC working, nothing broken. Great sleep each night. Coffee shop downstairs reopened. Keep balcony door closed as mosquitoes are super smart. Water is not crystal clear. Souvenir shop and excursion kiosk is super helpful.

Excellent, small, family-run hotel. Room was quiet, tucked back from the beach road, but close to the action and a 3 minute walk to the beach. Friendly, helpful staff. Definitely recommended!

Close to the beach and good restaurants around. Clean and very helpful staff.
