Rustic feel. Small park with only a few cabins. Brightly painted, had a great character. Cabin was well equipped and warm on a wet and cold day. Shower was excellent.

It was very clean and tidy. Close to the beach and very peaceful.

Very cute purple cabin, fairly basic but adequate. Great beach access with just a few minutes walk.

We were pleasantly surprised. Our cabin was clean, tidy and the small kitchen we had was equipped for us to cook a meal. The cabin’s are basic but they are comfortable. The beds were good and the shower was hot with good water pressure. We had a lovely walk along the beach at sunset and saw a seal lion as well. A beautiful place. Stunning.

We were late for check out and were thrown out and yelled at by the owner. We should have been on time but it was not a sufficient reason to be that agressive.

Leider zu kurz dort gewesen. Ruhig und gemütlich gelegen. Freundlicher Empfang. Zimmer perfekt. Sonnenuntergang am Strand kann man mit den Seelöwen zusammen genießen. Viele Ausflüge in der Umgebung möglich.

Toilette et douche handicapé top mais utilisé par des valides....cabanon très joli, spacieux, très bien équipé : vaisselle à l'intérieur, table, grille pain, bouilloire, lits confortables ,table exterieure...espaces communs très propres et cosy...Accueil tres sympathique . Grand jeu d'échec géant dehors..salon top....plage à côté avec un lion de mer vu le soir, pas le matin...ils étaient à Cannibal bay....plus loin.

Pas trouvé la boîte à clés en partant...

It was comfortable and all we needed, just a pity about the weather but we were able to hang out in the guest lounge easily so being wet wasn't too much of a challenge.

Some sunshine would have been nice :)

Close to the beach so could walk and see sea lions. Super helpful hosts and great units with everything you needed. Washing machine & dryer in the shared facilities - take $2 coins though can get these from the office.

Locations, facilities, room, cleanliness. Accommodation is right near Sea Lions beach, we’ve seen them every time we headed towards the Surat Bay. They were 10m away, playing, swimming, relaxing. Amazing experience.

Peaceful night and day, lovely little hideaway.

The highlight of our 10 day roadtrip! First thing we did was walk over to the beach and see sea lions in the wild (remember to keep a respectful distance). Woke up to birdsong and utter silence. Really cute private holiday park rooms with a personal fridge, 10 metres across from the room you'll find a tidy and well-stocked shared kitchen, dining area, lounge space, and bathroom/shower block. Was super easy to cook ourselves a meal after visiting Nugget Point Lighthouse (highly recommend!) Staff were so kind and accommodating. Wifi was better than expected, given there is no cell service this remote!

El alojamiento está bastante alejado de la pequeña ciudad y tienes que llegar por una pista de grava, pero el paraje de alrededor con la playa de Surat Bay es un preciosidad y puedes acceder directamente desde el alojamiento por una senda marcada a través de un pequeño bosque. Las pequeñas casitas de las que disponen en el jardín trasero de su propiedad están bien equipadas, con cocina completa, calefacción, y una muy buena wifi. Puedes aparcar tu coche delante de la casita que hayas reservado o bien si vienes en caravana, en la plaza que te otorguen. No atienden la recepción después de las 6 pm y no tienen un buzón para depositar la llave si te vas muy temprano, por lo que la dejamos en la puerta de la casita.

Le ponemos una estrella porque el propietario es un grosero, maleducado, arrogante, prepotente, agresivo e irrespetuoso. Cuando accedimos a la casita después de más de 600 km de viaje para llegar, quisimos darnos una ducha y no había jabón ni champú, por lo que volví a la recepción para pedirla. La señora amable que nos había recibido no estaba y apareció un señor al que le pedí por favor si podía facilitarnos jabón y champú que no había. Comenzó a gritarme diciendo que ellos no ponían suministros de ese tipo, a lo que le indiqué que eso no aparecía en la reserva, que no había jabón ni champú, que si son un alojamiento, como mínimo debería haberlo para poder asearte. El hombre, mucho más grande y alto que yo se bajó las gafas y volvió a gritarme que ellos no ponían suministros, le dije que no entendía porqué, y me dijo de una forma grosera y maleducada que podía estar allí preguntándole lo mismo durante horas, que me iba a contestar igual, por lo que levantado la mano en el aire dijo que me fuera. Salí de la recepción dándole las gracias por nada y cuando iba a meterme en el coche, de manera agresiva abrió la puerta de la recepción y gritando como un grosero irrespetuoso y de forma muy agresiva, me dijo que cogiéramos nuestras cosas y nos largásemos de allí. Qué cogiéramos nuestras maletas de la habitación que nos devolvía el dinero. Le dije que sólo estaba preguntando por el jabón de ducha, que no había que ponerse así, y de nuevo acercándose agresivamente dijo que podíamos largarnos a otro hotel. Le dije que iría al super a comprar jabón, y se metió de nuevo en su casa a través de la recepción. Una persona así no debería estar a cargo de un establecimiento y menos todavía en atención al cliente. Una estancia que podría haber sido preciosa, fue completamente arruinada por el comportamiento totalmente inadecuado e inapropiado de este señor.

Der Bungalow war sehr gut ausgestattet und die Anlage hat eine traumhafte Lage an der Küste. Es ist angenehm ruhig dort. Der kurze Weg zum traumhaften Strand und die Seelöwen sind sehr beeindruckend.

What a beautiful, quiet and serene spot this is. Comfy and very clean. Owners were so helpful when we were let down by another accommodation, and let us book in a day early. Sea lions on the beach were a lovely bonus. The best place on the South island to just wind down and relax.

Spotlessly clean, simple room and well equipped kitchen. The park is small and beautifully located next to the beach where we were lucky enough to see sea lions. Highly recommend this place.

Love the peace and quiet. THE CABINS WERE COZY AND WARM They were equipped with everything you need Family and child friendly Helpful staff Generous on blankets and linen. Nice walking tracks Close to Owaka, short drive to waterfalls. Heated pools in Owaka also

The shower was not that clean, BUT the property was a cabin, older, styled accommodation, so it was fine.

Wonderful spot. Would have loved to stay longer. Goregous spot for magic beach walks.

Great location and hosts. Nice long beach complete with Sealions. Well equipped and comfortable beds.

Had noisy neighbours first nite of 2, but not really the hosts fault. The host gave us a discount to compensate when we mentioned it.

Nice, tidy and clean accommodation with everything that you'd need, right next to a beautiful bay. Easy to find and good parking space.

Located in a great spot right on the estuary. The shared kitchen had everything we needed and there was a lounge with books and games. Cabin was clean and warm with a mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with good heating and plenty of hooks. The kitchen was easy to use, and the room came with a small fridge, utensils, and a kettle. The bathroom was clean.

It would have been even better if there were more knives in the kitchen. Also, the hot water for showers didn’t last very long — around 5 minutes — so it might be a bit rushed if you prefer longer showers.

Owners were terrific, place was fun and comfortable, Shared kitchen was just a little on the small side for the number of folks trying to use it, but we cooperated and managed! Walks on the beach were great, saw sea lions!

We were very hesitant about bathroom sharing but it was a very pleasant experience. They about 10 steps away from our cabin and very clean, I never had to wait for the loo or a shower. The cabin was extremely cosy and the bed very comfortable.

How cosy it was considering we experienced cloudy and rainy days. It was lovely to come back to after days exploring.
