Reviewed Jun 25, 2026The communication with the manager was excellent, I advised her that I was planning on arriving late, to which she promptly sent me self check in instructions. Once inside, we were welcomed to an amazingly clean room. There was also a spa and pool for us to use. The location in itself is so close to the town centre and literally across the road from the ocean. All in all, an amazing stay and will definitely be returning in the future.

The only bathroom was up steep stairs. There was no toilet on the bottom floor.

Reviewed Mar 26, 2026We had a great stay at the Aqua Soleil Villas - waking up with the view of the bay was amazing! Whitianga town centre is only a short drive away and has everything you’d need. It was also a nice base for a short drive to Hahei and the tourist spots of Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. I would recommend and definitely stay again when I next visit the Coromandel.

A downstairs toilet would have been good, and maybe flyscreens got hot inside, but when we left window or sliding door open we got bugs. Neighbour in unit next door,was a bit annoying drinking and smoking on his deck, so we felt our privacy invaded and cigarette smoke,plus he continued to stand in front of the units on the grass, which was a little off putting with a lack of privacy.

Not enough lighting it gets dim during the day. The fan in the bathroom is loud need separate switch from the light. Need to upgrade the TV incase of bad weather Netflix comes pretty handy or chromecast, and no milk in the fridge 😆 But we still had a great and enjoyable stay👍. Please read your reviews because these are the same complaints dating back a few years ago.
