niente
la notte spengono l aria condizionata e i generatori, lasciando il resort senza corrente. nessuno rimane alla reception e si ha l impressione di essere da soli sull isoletta
Staff was good they responded to all our queries and concerns. Views were good. They did decorate our room since it was our honeymoon, which was a nice gesture.
Building was quiet old with worn out walls, old AC units. Food was average at best. We asked to switch rooms but they wanted to charge us 2.5 thousand per night. Bug infested (you keep food lying on the table for more than 20 minutes, ants flow in like it's a parade) The travel to and from the city was quiet a challenge as well since we had our last boat back at 7:30.
Every staff member is. nice, friendly & very helpful The location is lovely. It's ideal for those who love to be at sea from morning until evening. Better than in a cruise ship where you cannot easily leave the sea venue anytime Nice swimming pools, if one is not in the mood to go to a beach.
Food in the restaurant is very limited and the taste is ordinary. Our room was swamped by ants a couple of times.
Isolé du bruit de Coron Hotel sur pilotis donc sympa dans le principe mais cela bouge, donc s'abstenir pour ceux qui ont le mal de mer. Un peu vieillot mais sympa

Nice staff
Really mot worth this amount of money. Boat schedule weird, have to pay a lot if you want a boat at another time. Houses unstable, so you move with every wave. Airconditioning makes a lot of noise Food is really bad
We Loved the shuttle services, Pavillion, Balcony, room and the staff. The privacy was amazing. Sitting outside on the balcony at night was as quiet and peaceful as I have ever experienced. Communication with Yen was great. She is an exceptional Manager. The boat crew are outstanding. Underwater is a beautiful Resort. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Nothing
Nothing.
It was nothing like the pictures. It was like we were at a school camp. Very run down. And it was like it was set in the 70’s
Room was nice. Rest of resort needs a great deal of updating and work. Staff tries, but they are not well trained or able to assist. Management is disengaged and just blames everything on something else, no efforts made to address issues. Only accepts cash, which is a major inconvenience as they do not have an ATM on site, and ones in town are hit and miss. Food is ok but overpriced, WIFI is spotty at best, boat schedule is inconsistent and inconvenient.
Management does zero to address issues. Spoke directly to them and was greeted with a shrug and a "Yeah, sorry about that". Cash only policy in 2026 is absurd for a hotel, especially when they don't even have an ATM on site. Having to track your bill and then go to town for cash before check out is a ridiculous process. Save yourself disappointment and frustration, there are many other places in Coron that are better options.
The resort is very beautiful and it is a calm place to enjoy in peace and relax. There are two swimming pools, hammocks on the pier, staff is very kind and allways trying to help.
It is impossible to swim in the sea because the water is murky and there are jellyfish. Some dishes in the restorant are delicious and some are not.
Our way stay is fantastic..We were able to relax and feel stressed free. We enjoyed the pool and the view. The staff were really accomodating to our needs and very friendly. The hotel just need to improve in there mode of payment it would be good if customers can pay by card or any other option than cash. But our overall stay is great plus the island hopping experience.
The staff is very kind, and we had a really good stay. The food was also great, and we enjoyed a calm and comfortable experience. They offer different services, such as kayak rentals, which we tried and really enjoyed. If you’re looking for a peaceful place with beautiful views, we highly recommend staying here. We also woke up very early to watch the sunrise, and the views were absolutely gorgeous.
Overall not satisfied
Beautiful place
We had a wonderful stay at this property. All the staff are very accommodating and respectful. You can go fishing on this property and let them cook it for you for a little fee , just make sure bring your own gear for fishing. Thank you guys for making our stay really good.
Hotel is isolated which we love. away from the hustle of the city. It’s was quiet and staff are very helpful. I loved the seaside view. Will come back again
Was not happy with the cleanliness of the room plus the food. There was not even half the food on the menu was not available or at least eight things basic things like pizza fries spring rolls. Pasta & Breakfast they had no bread very unhappy with the food there and had no choice. and did not have option to go back to the mainland to get food so not happy about that.
The view and the staff were friendly
The location was nice any chilling, but to get there is a mission with the shuttle boat they provided, the time slots are very limited and the last boat is way too early twice it has delayed more than an hour !!! Our rom was nice , clean with a wonderful view but we had to change room once because the wifi didn’t work at the first location . Staff was nice and friendly just like everywhere in the Philippines but communication was poor with them , their restaurants food options are limited and isn’t great for the price they asking It would be an amazing resort if they improve the shuttle boat and the restaurant
Only thing that was an issue, was that several items on the menu were not available. Otherwise, the food we did get was good.
The view of the location was beautiful.
All the of rest: - you had to pay extra for breakfast, even though it was complimentary., and the selection sparse - we were delivered dirty towels on several occasions - the large pool was under construction, and we weren’t notified beforehand - there were only 4 sun beds for the entire hotel - the facilities were outdated, and in very poor condition - the aircondition was very noisy - the last boat for the city sailed at 7.30pm - the restaurant was a lot met expensive than other restaurants, and here selection also very bad - the toilets wasn’t cleaned at all - the WiFi was very poor in the common areas All in all, reconsider your stay here! Find something else!
The restaurant is horrible horrible. You bet bring your own food. Best place to rest away from the crowded town of Coron. Very very good the boat 🚢 ride tour the all day long.
Nothing really, the staff tried their best
It was a building site, there was no communal areas that were inviting to sit together. There was no room to sit around the pool. The food was terrible as were the drinks. It had an empty half fixed concrete pool outside our room. Needed to be out all day as was miserable to be at resort but latest boat back was 7.30 so it made it tricky to eat out in Coron in time to get the boat back
We paid extra to be located in the new block, which had a stunning view and was more modern. The staff were lovely, especially Christian, he made us so welcome every morning for breakfast
Wasn’t the cleanest, facilities need updating
Tranquil, remote location. Infinity pool outlook.
Lots of potential, but run-down. Very loose definition of the word "resort". Staff were not helpful.
The staff were lovely, Apart from the moody bird at reception.
The place is filth. Pool was disgusting, I reported it and they closed it for the 2 days we were there trying to clean it but it was that bad, slimey.. No food in restaraunt available, no salad, no fruit, no fish, no stock basicly and ur a 15 min boat ride from anything else, no shop ect. I could go on an on. Ah, and the cockroaches on the resort are massive
A perfect place if you need peace and fresh air. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Transportation to the city is quite complicated. There is little to do within the hotel premises (only kayaking). Only one pool is operational, which also needs minor repairs. There is no beach or convenient access to the water. The restaurant has a very limited food menu and is open only until 9 p.m.
Quiet. Away from the busy town.
Maybe Needs to have their own convenience store
The room was nice clean and spacious with great views. The pavilion was a good space for intimate meals and to relax
The ferry schedule was a little limiting particularly as the last free return from town is so early at 7.30pm. It felt understaffed with slow responses to requests, although team member Christian was very helpful. The food was average at best which was disappointing considering there were no other options
Located right on the waterfront with beautiful views. Great service for pick up and drop offs from the town by boat. Spacious room and lovely service from staff.
Quite expensive for the quality. The photos looked better than the reality but overall a nice stay.
Nice view
Staff are too slow and not helpfull at all! They keep you waiting all the time you ask for food or any help.
It’s very quiet with most people taking the boat out for the day. The room and bathroom were clean.
Needs a few more lounge chairs by the pool and a mini fridge in the room.
The staff really try to take care of everyone's needs. They are very kind and helpful. Our room overlooked the water and we enjoyed the sunsets and sunrises from this location. We enjoyed taking the water taxi into the town each evening. This is a great service.
The hotel needs to get rid of the fish tank when you first come in. It is sad that the fish from the ocean are in this tank. Our family prefers a place to be kinder to the environment. The owner needs to hire more staff in the restaurant and keep supplies on hand. Often items were not available. There is a set of rooms that overlooks a pool but that pool is no longer in service. It is dirty and we would have been disappointed if we were placed there.
Pleasant and quiet location away from the busy Coron Town. Convenient transfers to and from Coron Town. Hotel assisted us with booking a private tour. Breakfast was tasty.
Nothing
This property is stunning. It is isolated on its own island but is well connected to coron main town by its own shuttle boat which only takes ten minutes. The swimming pool is an infinity pool overlooking the sea and you can watch the fish in the sea over the wall. You can also snorkel in the sea along the property, which has different fish species, crabs etc. the jetty is lit up at night, with hammocks and is a great place to relax. The property also has hot water which is unusual for an island resort. The staff are all very friendly and very accommodating
I would recommend ordering food before you are actually hungry as, whilst it is all made from fresh, it can take a while
The personnel are so friendly and accommodating
Great place to stay and be secluded. Staff are very friendly, you need to get a boat too and from the resort but that is fun.
Loved being close to the water and use of swimming pool staff friendly and so helpful
Not walkable. Not convenient despite times transfers. I’m so glad I only booked two nights. I drove my self crazy with the lack of comprehension. English or Tagalog it doesn’t matter. These ppl saw money first
The staff are all nice and helpful
Management seems not in control as to how the Servce is with regards to food. It took a long time to wait for our meals.
So quiet, good for relaxation
Very inconvenient to get around. Some of the staff weren’t very nice.
Location was great and staff were helpful and friendly.
Booked this hotel on a whim and was pleasantly surprised to see it was much more private than Coron Town Proper. Only hiccup was that there was only one boatman at the time, and missed us in the last pickup to the hotel. They were very helpful in getting us to and from the island, providing hotel shuttle service (private). Great tours too, and loved the pier and floating villas.
The staff are very helpful.
The bathroom shower cannot be regulated. Not so many variety of menus to choose from.
The staff was very professional and helpful. The food was reasonably good and the outside dining was excellent.
Not enough power points in the room.
Staff were friendly, when we arrived we were greeted with drinks and cold towels. The pool, sunset and view was beautiful. There is a cold water machine available.
We contacted the property to organise a boat pick up but still had to wait in the hot sun for around 30 minutes. On said boat there was raw chicken on the floor in a bag that had holes in it. We booked a deluxe overwater bungalow and was given a apartment seaview room. The TV in the room had been removed, the kettle had the wrong plug, no fridge, bathroom sink leaked and an old noisy AC. The worse part was dinner in the restaurant. My partner ordered pancit canton which took 30mins but was inedible. The meat was non existent just bone and cartilage. It was sent back. I ordered a margarita pizza which took an hour despite being the only people in the restaurant and was so crispy it fell apart but we ate this as we were so hungry at this point. Obviously this made my partner quite angry and he wanted to pack and leave but I managed to calm him and reassured we'd leave first thing. We didn't want to chance breakfast so checked out and asked the staff to let us know when there was a boat, they didn't and we managed to catch it by chance. When we settled the bill which is cash only we were sniggered at as we accidentally gave too much money. There's clearly renovations going on, noise from drills and 1 empty pool. The WiFi was pretty bad in all areas and there were 2 blackouts in the evening. We had high hopes for this stay but unfortunately left feeling let down, misled and do not recommend this hotel.
Beautiful location and the boat trip too/ from the hotel is fun. The hotel have their own boat and it runs until 7.30pm for free or you can pay extra for late night trips. The facilities are a little run down but kept clean and comfortable by the staff. The management are responding to feedback and service water and fresh fruit are definitely a thing now.
If I could just rate the staff it would be 10/10 They were all so friendly and helpful and accommodating. We had a welcome drink on arrival and booked our boat tour and through them. They even got up at 4am to do us breakfast on our last day and ferry us back to Coron town and organised a tuk tuk straight to get tickets and then to the ferry port. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Surroundings where absolutely beautiful. We rented kayaks directly from the place and paddled around. View from the pontoon and from the pool was beautiful too. Pool was gorgeously warm which was great as we were in advised not to swim in the sea due to jellyfish. (Which was interesting as there were none on the boat island tours the next day so don't panic). Watching the sunset from the pool was the highlight of this stay for sure.
My main issue was the cockroaches and cockroach eggs and ants in our bedroom. The bathroom and toilet also smelt very bad and it spread into our bedroom. They did remove the bugs when we asked but then given a few hours and they were back. The ants got into our clothes and the cockroaches where huge and stunk. It made me feel very anxious to sleep. Our friends in the other room though had no bugs or bad drain smell so I think it's the luck of which room you get (avoid number 6) There were two double beds in each room so we could have actually booked just one room for the four of us (me and husband, sister and best friend) but it didn't let you on the booking system. It was very quiet. Only two other couples staying which meant there wasn't much atmosphere. We like quiet and peaceful, but being the only people to eat in a restaurant is very strange! The food wasn't great, we are a mix of vegetarians and pescetarians and we ordered fish fingers and were served chicken nuggets. We ate them anyway as it took a long time to come and we were very hungry and didn't want to make a fuss!!(which we expected as we were the only people eating so they would have had to fire everything up). The cocktails weren't great either as they use a lot of powdered juices and they tasted a bit watery. We also noticed that the plumbing from the sink and shower went straight into the sea which we didn't like but where thankful we had fish friendly soap with us to use.
The hotel is on the ocean and some are floating rooms It's a really nice big and spacious room although you're only in a secluded area with no one there so private solemn and peace. Thanks we experienced staying in this hotel for 2 days .We missed the beautiful swimming room The only problem is the internet is not working in our rooms but the staff of lovely staff and the owner are all friendly and very accommodating so nice people
None
- location and views - breakfast and dinner at the viewing deck - the staff
- the early closure of the restaurant - the dated facilities - the bugs, spiders and geckos
Horrible place
All wrong totally different then presented on photos. Food was so bad and vary dirty
The staff are very friendly! :) Very helpful to all our concerns.
Nothing. Everything is perfect.
The fact the hotel is on an isolated island and some of the staff were amazingly helpful. One of the guys even loaned me his personal snorkel gear so I can go see all the fish that collect around the pier. Good air-conditioning and amazing views.
Beer needs to be colder. WiFi was not available everywhere,. like the room, but most common areas. If you like nightlife in the city on the main island then it is hard to experience because last boat goes at 10pm, no exceptions because it becomes a safety issue with the dark.
RECONSIDER YOUR STAY HERE! Please read before booking. The staff here were great however management is the real issue. We booked the over water bungalow and even upon arrival was not told that it was under maintenance. We were just issued a different room (even though we had already paid for the bungalow). It was only when we questioned our booking did they tell us. We later saw a couple move rooms to an over water bungalow that was supposedly under construction. Which was infuriating to see. The resort has a transfer boat to and from the island to the mainlands with great boat crew. The boat only goes to and fro a handful of times between 8am and 5:30pm so if you want to eat out anytime after 4pm, you cannot. They have set it up so you must eat dinner and breakfast at the resort. Especially if you do any island hopping tours or diving the tours begin at 8:30 and end at 5:30 meaning you are forced to take the first and last boats leaving you no time to eat out or collect food/drinks to bring back to the resort. The kitchen at the resort has a very limited menu. Forget being vegetarian or vegan. And of the limited menu, IF the food is available (quite often what you want is unavailable) it’s not great quality and costs over double what it would on the mainland. And don’t forget the 10% surcharge added to all items. Costing roughly 800 peso (880 with surcharge) per meal. If you order a cocktail don’t expect to get what you ordered. A pina colada is a bit of green cordial with some form of alcohol. Breakfast was included for us. However of the fewer than ten options to order from, more than four of them were unavailable. The egg meals come with one egg and you must pay extra per egg. The coffee is shockingly watery too. Again no vegetarian or vegan options. Not even Pescatarian either. If you’re hoping to snorkel or swim around the resort then don’t. It’s full of deadly box jellyfish from the mangrove and sea urchins.
The food, the feeling of being trapped. Unable to leave for dinner.
The location is superb, the staff and the manager always makes sure we’re comfortable. The Manager, Jericho goes out of his way to give us what we need and want. He’s the best for sure.
workers are very nice and the place is so beautiful
nothing everything and everyone was perfect
location and staff
excellent service
quiet and peaceful
Great staff. Looking forward to returning.
Internet/wifi connection was good. Option to borrow kayaks. Sea front pavilon is nice for sitting in evenings. Free transfers from accomodation (isolated island) to the Coron city and back.
Poor breakfast. Loud music/karaoke in restaurant. Not possible to walk around the island (but we were expecting this).
The staff are so friendly and very accommodating
There are no events going on for guest.
magical location. it was fantastic staying on a private island and it made the stay very special. taking the boat to the island was very easy and the staff were very accomodating. we had two more quieter days there which were perfect. AC was great and Wifi too. rooms were very spacious and you can’t beat the magical sea view from your room!
limited food options (you have to get the food from the hotel restaurant) but they had a good selection.
I love the idea that its on the sea. Corals are nearby. The only concern is its another island from the town and the hotel boat to go to town is only until 5pm which is abit hard if u want to go night life.
Clean and Very peaceful place
the kitchen staff were very nice along with the three owners
You are stuck on an island with nothing to do. The resort was completely empty when I arrived and now I understand why. The food is incredibly over priced and they charge a whopping ₽1000 for ferries to the main town which stop at 8pm. The front desk is not helpful with managing the reservations, giving me false information multiple times. They ignored my messages and over charged me for my stay. Over all, it was a huge disappointment and a big waste of money. They are very sneaky about how they charge you and what ever you do, don’t touch the bananas.
The room was really nice and big. Had an amazing bathroom with rainshower and it was very clean. The view over the sea was beautiful and we had sunsetview which was great.
The ferry didn’t go later than 17:00 so on the evenings you are stuck on the island. There was no service or internet and because of the ferry you have to dine in de restaurant of the resort which had really bad food. We got a pizza which was raw and the chicken had bone/hard pieces in it. The staff was very passive when we asked for things like warm water (it stopped working). You have to pay a lot more for additional thing for breakfast, even for tea!! Also they said there were canoes free to use but you had to pay if you want to use it. The only nice things were the room and the view. All the others things are not making it a “resort”.
Poor WiFi connection Staff uninterested Food very poor. Very little dishes are actually available on the menu.
beautiful
staff
Coron Underwater is charming - my hotel room was supported on sticks in the water. I loved the quiet and beautiful location, only a few minutes from the town of Coron by boat, but a world away in terms of beautiful, peaceful setting - all you see are green hills and small secluded beaches. There's a large, marked swimming area right from the hotel, with a small coral reef for snorkeling. The pier is a great place to hang out, set out over the water. Gorgeous sunsets from here. The staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. There were few guests when I was there, so the vibe was extremely friendly and casual. The hotel boat takes you the short trip into Coron at scheduled times, but they are also flexible about dropping you or picking you up at other times. The staff was very attentive and kept great track of us - always waiting to pick us up in Coron when we had requested. I did a snorkeling trip and a scuba trip from the resort.
Don't come here if you want town life, restaurants, nightlife, etc. It is a quiet peaceful spot, not for everyone. When I was there, the hotel wasn't able to take credit cards, so I had to run into town to get cash.
Restaurant and housekeeping staff were nice Good food but overpriced Beautiful views (if ignoring the rubbish around the "resort" area)
It says it has a beach but there is no beach on the island It says there is a spa but there isn't Swimming pools covered in algae; no shade at the pools only option was to sit in the sun - was told the umbrella was broken; had one brought to us after insisting. Receptionist told us it's fine to "explore around the island" but we ended up on someone's property (5min away from the "resort") Had to wait for 1h to be picked up by the boat from town Had been charged a ridiculous amount to have laundry done Receptionist stating he was not aware that on Booking.com it was written that there was a beach or a spa nor what Booking.com is. It is however stated the same on their website
nice location (very quiet) waterbungalows were really nice clean nice staff good sleep/ comfortable mattress
we requested a tour that wasn’t part of their package and they said they will look it up and come back to us… never happened, so we almost weren’t able to do the tour cause of time restaurant doesn’t have any dishes on the list (always sold out -Almost everything) and it takes forever from ordering til receiving the dishes boat service is from 8am to 5 pm which is to short for a deserted island… afterwards you need to pay for it… so you are coming back in time and eat in the restaurant and than they don’t even have the dishes on the menu
Artwork on the overwater villas was cool. Boat out to the accommodation. Rest was very average.. :(
Staff were not very helpful. Boat transfer was very late. Tried to charge us a crazy amount for 3rd person in the room (even though the room had 2 x double beds). Bathroom in the room smelt awful. And the breakfast was sub par - not great at all.
peaceful
many food not available
The dirty swimming pool.
All the rest.
Coron Underwater Resort is located away from the town of Coron. The resort met our expectations of staying away in a quiet locale. resort has good facilities and decent rates for food, although the service in the restaurant could be a little slow due to the lesser number of staff. The resort being a little away from town, there could be shortage in food menu options available depending on the number of guests staying at the resort. The staff are very courteous and helpful Few aspects about the resort that one needs to add into the booking.com website are: 1. The free hotel ferry timings are from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. Beyond these hours the cost for using the ferry one way is Pesos 600. 2. The airport drop if required from the boat jetty will cost Pesos 200 per head.
Nothing really despite a little slow service in the restaurant.
the ad says it is the city proper. it is on another island.

Areas to consider
Cleanliness
5/10Multiple reviewers reported ant/bug infestations and worn surfaces in parts of the building; one reviewer noted a newly built, clean room — overall inconsistent and below average.
Service
8.8/10Staff repeatedly described as good, friendly and responsive and helpful with requests (honeymoon room decoration noted); some staff need additional training for efficiency, but overall service is a strong point.
Location
9.2/10Consistently praised: natural over-water setting, quiet and isolated, lovely views and ideal for sea lovers; pavilion and waterfront setting are highlights.
Room Quality
5.5/10Mixed reports: some rooms/ bathrooms seem newly built and were decorated for special occasions, while the building is otherwise described as quite old with worn walls and aging AC units.
Amenities
8/10Good amenities cited (infinity pool, pavilion, multiple pools, relaxing seating/hanging chairs); amenity offerings are a clear positive.
Value for Money
5/10Perceived as poor to average: extra charges (e.g., high fee to switch rooms), cash-only on-site payments for extras and limited food availability reduce perceived value.
Food and Beverage
5/10Frequently mentioned as limited and ordinary in taste; some reviewers noted limited kitchen stock and restricted menu options.
Overall Experience
7.9/10A mixed but generally positive stay for nature/sea lovers due to location and helpful staff, tempered by cleanliness issues, limited food, logistical/payment hassles, and some dated facilities.
