The Hilton Bush Lodge

The room was great. Linen and towels of good quality. Certain issues: 1. No one in Reception to assist us on Sunday morning to open gate for the hike. Looked for someone for 20min to assist. 2. Breakfast area was not clean. No cups or plates on the counter. Pillows on outside couches not set out for us to sit as it was full at the tables. No waitresses to assist us for almost 10 min outside 3. Had to inform the waitress of a dead mouse on the toilet so I assume toilets were not cleaned that morning (time of informing person was at 9:00) 4. Had to point out to Waitress when they did get to us eventually outside that a bag of drugs were lying on the deck. Again assuming no cleaning were done from the night before. 5. We had to ask for cutlery twice when we did receive food. 5. We had breakfast only Sun morning as it was such a bad experience we did not go back on teh Monday.

The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I immediately felt welcomed. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed was especially cozy, and all the amenities were well thought out. It was clear that cleanliness and guest comfort are top priorities here.

Amazing stay. Even got a room upgrade on my last night. What a dream! I’d recommend for anyone hoping to stay im the area.

Hilton Bush Lodge is truly a gem. The location is absolutely breathtaking, peaceful, scenic, and the perfect escape into nature. Our group of 16 felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to accommodate every request with genuine care. Breakfast was a highlight. Everything was prepared fresh for all of us, and the quality and attention to detail really stood out. Communication throughout our stay was excellent, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. A beautiful lodge with exceptional service. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

Had a nice stay, rooms were good but were lacking shelf/work space to put toaster on etc. Breakfast was good. Views were great. Nice walk to the top of the falls. Overall, a very pleasant stay

We had the best time from the planning to the actual day; we were assisted throughout. Mtu is the best along with other employees. For any function and private stay i will definitely recommend.

The lodge is absolutely beautiful, in a perfect location with the best views. There is a wide variety of places to visit around the area and beautiful animals all around. The staff ensured I had a seamless experience and the breakfast is divine. This was definitely value for money and it exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be back again

I was looking for a place where I could find some piece and rest, and I am glad I went to Hilton bush lodge. It is beautiful and serene. Thank you.... And I will go there again.

The lodge was exactly what we as a family wanted. The rooms were lovely, the bathrooms and patios looking out over the valley where the nyala would walk past, the shrikes and dronga's busy in the trees and the eagles in the valley teasing our ability to identify them. The braai area was superb, the staff most friendly and we could just chill at leisure. With the school (Hilton College) just 10 minutes drive away the purpose of our trip was fully satisfied!

Was comfy and felt like I was at home. Very neat. Only thing is that the shower never got hot like the basin did.

We honestly had the most comfortable stay at the Hilton bush lodge. We got to celebrate our wedding in the most beautiful surroundings. Everyone at the bush lodge were so friendly and helpful, we couldn’t recommend them enough! It’s definitely a hidden gem of Hilton and hope that many more get to discover its beauty!

Was very nice could not use the wifi which was the only bad thing

A short but very sweet stay at the Hilton Bush Lodge. My partner and I were travelling for a wedding and were looking for something with a distinctly South African feel and the lodge more than delivered. Rooms were immaculate and spacious and the packed breakfast in the fridge for when we were travelling the next day was a lovely touch. Managed to see some buck and zebra on the property. Would definitely recommend if you find yourself in the Hilton area.

Fantastic time at the Hilton Bush Lodge. Stayed in the Aloe 1 self catering unit with friends. Very relaxing and quiet with beautiful views over the valley. Close to the Midlands Meander and other amenities. Will be back.

The tranquility of the place made our stay amazing. The hospitality of staff on duty, who made certain our stay was pleasant, great service.

Booking luxury accommodation with young children is not always easy, but from the moment we entered our lodge, we all felt at ease. Hilton Bush Lodge is an aesthetically pleasing, well maintained luxury property that felt everything like home. We will definitely be back!

This was probably my fourth visit over the past few years, and it’s truly a hidden gem that pictures just can’t do justice. I’ve hosted parties, celebrated a few birthdays, and most recently went on a solo trip. It’s the perfect place for any occasion!

The sound of the waterfall was amazing!

Our stay at the Hilton Bush Lodge was really awesome. It is a very relaxing place. The room was lovely and the views absolutely beautiful. Thank you to Heidi for being so accommadating and very sweet. Our hike to the beautiful waterfalls was definitely worth it. I love waterfalls. We recommend the Lodge to everyone wondering where to go. I hope that Hilton Bush Lodge gets more visitors and that they can get back to what they were a few years ago...with a restaurant etc.

Up above Hilton with a balcony overlooking a waterfall/natural area. Beautiful room. Comfortable. Not too far from shops and restaurants.

I had a fantastic time at The Hilton Bush Lodge. The unit had everything one would need and more. Lovely decor and touches.

Place requires maintenance. Some items missing from the room but on the 2nd attempt (2nd day) this was corrected. Other than that, it was ok.

Wonderful stay, tranquil and beautiful. Delicious breakfast too. Not too far from anything, so enjoyed meandering. Room was cozy with lovely views of the surroundings.

The lodge is located in a very serene and beautiful setting. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all adequate amenities. Take note of the dirt road to the lodge. With the exception of a booked breakfast, the lodge does not have a restaurant. Mdu at reception went above and beyond to accommodate us and made us feel very welcome. Feels isolated and away from city even though outside amenities are close enough. Facilities are in fantastic condition and staff very helpful.

I had my kids and its so nice to have a family room that feels like home, I will definitely go back there

My mom and I were over the moon about our stay at Hilton Bush Lodge. We especially loved the quietness, serenity and being so close to nature!!!!! Our room was splendid, the beds were so comfortable and the service was 10/10. We would really like to stay here again.

Very nice setting, units a bit grubby, nice breakfast... We booked and paid in full online, traveling form Fiji I wanted to make sure everything was sorted but it wasn't... I requested a early check in with my booking... we arrived at 13:00 we were told our unit was ready, on arrival at our unit at 13:15 we discovered the previous guests were still in the room.... we had to wait for them to vacate the unit and for the unit to be serviced and cleaned...I checked in online and it stated our room nr as nr 1 but we got a different room nr, nr 3 on checking in... Sorry to say we will not return to this property when visiting SA again... Wasn't what we expected from this star rating.

I booked a room for my daughter to spend with her baby on her first birthday. I was away in the UK and asked the lodge if they would be able to put roses and champagne etc. in the room. And leave a birthday message from me. Lisa provided it all and made it so special for them. And had balloons and cupcakes with candles at the breakfast table. I’m so thankful to her! She went above and beyond what I expected. My daughter said it was the perfect setting to spend her daughter’s first birthday. And although they were only there for 2 nights, she felt so rejuvenated. And the meals were excellent! And the staff were so welcoming. Thank you Hilton Bush Lodge!

I wanted a secluded retreat to get some peace. This is the perfect location to relax and unwind. Nobody bothered me, the owner/manager went out of her way to accommodate me over and above what was expected. Even booking a fabulous Thai massage for me. I even got some free advice on life which I really needed.

Good venue, safe, clean etc... Neg. Noisey!! So much noise comes from the other rooms, walls so thin and floors carry the noise badly. Poor design/layout, made for a terrible nights sleep in whats supposed to be a peaceful venue. Please don't think the noise comes from bad behaviour or loud neighbors, just turning off the light in the room next door is like a herd of elephants.

The lodge needs to be upfront about the power cuts and dirt road, there were differences from the website and the reality.

Excellent property. Horrible Staff. The person that checked us in was so condescending and disrespectful. It’s as if we were homeless people begging for accommodation. No body deserves this type of treatment.

Beautiful place!

Comfortable clean neat and tidy. The only problem is that you apparently need to let them know before 13 midday that you want to have dinner there or not. Surely this should be advertised on the website? Also, if you want a cold beer after a long day, please have cash with you. They apparently were not accepting credit cards.

Lovely location - very peaceful

This was my second stay at Hilton Bush Lodge. I will always stay here when doing business in Hilton. The views are spectacular (you can even see a waterfall). Extras with the coffee add a cute touch. The service is exceptional and the rooms are modern, comfortable and spotless.

Brilliant getaway, quite, beds are comfortable, rooms is very well equipped and underfloor heating was such a bonus.

Amazing view, very nice room. Only inconvenience is the heater wasnt working and it got a bit cold No wifi in the rooms so not the best when travelling for business but other than that i had a very pleasent stay

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly, it’s very quite and not too far out of town
