Well laid out and good facilities
The geyser in the main bedroom never warmed up despite running the tap as instructed for over 15 minutes
The view was beautiful. There were a few people there but we didn't even know that as the setup gives you your space. You are so close to town but wouldn't even know it being tucked away in the bush.
We had to wait a bit to be served for breakfast - but it was worth the wait.
Loved been surrounded by amazing and peaceful nature in a safe, clean and comfortable environment
Nothing
Literally everything about the place, the peace and quietness. Especially the rooms
The trail to the waterfall to have markings so that you don't have to worry the staff to escourt you. It was explained why they can't and it made sense
The view from the room was great. They kept the feeling of being in the bush and combined it with comfort. The gentleman at reception was extremely helpful and kind. He did not hesitate to assist us when needed. There is also a small yet somewhat challenging hike to the stream and waterfall which is a must for nature lovers. The bird life is also great.
Everything met our expectations.
The place is nice and peaceful.
It’s far from everything. When booking they send information about nearby restaurants and that information is misleading. One cannot adequately plan because you are told there are restaurants 5-10min away from the lodge only to find yourself in the middle of nowhere surrounded by gravel roads. The place is also not very clean. The rooms are very dusty. The rooms are so close together I could her the people in the next room talking and laughing
Everything is perfect there
The staff were lovely, the units are magnificent, with stunning views (sunrise and sunset). They are extremely well-equipped and make for a very comfortable space to live in and host (if you host a braai or something). The rooms are generous but not oversized and the beds are very comfortable. The fireplace in the living room and underfloor heating in the bedrooms elevated comfort. It was nice to hear and see all the wildlife.
Nothing. Everything was amazing. If I had decided to braai I would have needed more firewood for that and the fireplace inside, but I didn't end up braaiing so that didn't affect my stay.
Location was stunning and ao was the room.
I had to wait in my car in the sun for almost an hour after check in time since they 'missed' my reservation. The TV doesn't work and if you have any complaints or requests, be prepared for them to only reply well after you have left. And don't forget slippers, the floors were filthy
The lodge is in a great location with lovely views. Communication with the host was excellent, and the after-hours reception was very smooth and accommodating. The breakfast was enjoyable, and we appreciated the clean, fresh-smelling towels and linen.
•Bathroom Facilities: The hot water only lasted for about 5 minutes at a time. The shower floor and walls had visible mold, and the shower door was difficult to open and close. Both the washbasin tap and the toilet paper holder were loose. •Room Maintenance: The wooden glass door did not latch properly, and a downlight in the kitchenette area was falling out. •General Upkeep: Overall cleanliness could be improved, and adding extra-large towels would be a very welcome touch.
Well appointed accommodation on a beautiful property with a lovely view.
Beautiful views. Great location close enough to the city. Breakfast was good.
The noise from the next room. The walls are too thin, it’s uncomfortable to hear the neighbour that much.
The serenity that comes with the place. The feeling of being in the bushes, peace and quiteness of the place. I loved the breakfast👌

The under floor heating, the views and the setup
The gas stove Gas geyser taking exceptionally long to heat up There was mold in the bathroom ceiling Booking.com taking very high bank charges from my account without informing me
I loved that we had buck right outside our door and its peaceful. Great place to relax and unwind. Loved the heated flooring and the bed was comfy.
The shower was clogging so water pooling while showering. Improve on communication regarding breakfast.
Room positioning 👌🏽
Need to provide buffet, to improve service time.
We loved and enjoyed everything about the Hilton Bush Lodge. We were welcomed warmly, the dining room staff were fabulous, the breakfasts were delicious. All in all we had a happy stay.
The little pathway to the dining area was VERY uneven. As two elderly people (hip and knee replacement) we were rather nervous walking there. Also, the stairs leading down to units 1-5 had no railings which also made us feel nervous.
Location and great facilities. Amazing views and cozy setting.
Our cottage was attached to another room and one can hear and see lights form the next room in the second bedroom.
Zag er mooi uit. Uitzicht is prachtig. Goed verzorgde lodge
Het was er een beetje uitgestorven in de winter. Beetje te veel park gevoel.
The unit was very comfortable with good equipment. Lovely view
The breakfast staff were disorganised and not ready with table setting, coffee or fruit etc. breakfast was delicious though when it was ready.
The location is really good. If you are able to navigate the gravel road there (we did get a flat tyre) :-( The staff very friendly and helpful. The surroundings really beautiful and you feel safe, away from the city noise.
There needs to be some care given to the furniture - cupboards are getting old, and the bed a bit tired. The hot water takes forever to come through (not sure what you can do about this). Breakfast was great - just some extra effort in making sure there is enough for everyone (plates, cutlery, etc).
The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially the charming gentleman in reception. The rooms were well serviced, the supplies of tea/coffee great and the facilities/property well kept and maintained
I do not blame the ladies in the dining room for the poor service in the mornings. Most of the visitors were there for the IPT {hockey}, and wanted to be at the venues at specific times. 3/4 tables to accommodate all those people? Really! Tables were available outside, but were not set up. I know the situation in the country on Tuesday was not ideal for the hospitality industry, but only 2 ladies on duty during such a crunch time makes me wonder about service-delivery. Most of the time there was no-one in the dining room as all were in the kitchen. The coffee machine needed constant attention etc, etc, etc. Other than the dining room management, all was most enjoyable. Please take the above as positive feedback that can lead to better, more positive reviews in future. Best regards. Toni and extended family.

Mtu was friendly Kitchen staff were kind, aprons were so dirty The room was warm extra blankets provided
Room wasn't clean floors had hair Setting in the room was not good microwave and fridge in the wordrobe no small table to eat no tap to pour water if needed water had to use bathroom. Breakfast was served to us on Saterday no knife no fork, one slice of toast, 2 cocktail sausages breakfast was extra small portion. We planned to order dinner but after seeing the breakfast we had to go out and buy. On Sunday morning we went to the dining room for breakfast, very same breakfast was served, muslie was the only cereal on the counter we had to ask for other cereals, then only were they take out of the cupboard. No scones nothing yooooo ayyyyy
views and wildlife
rooms are not soundproof and one can clearly here your neighbours talking.
Homey touches in the room like soft blankets. Lovely view, comfy couch and bed, nice size, overall stunning room and wish we had stayed longer. Beautiful gardens!
We did a midweek stay and we felt like we spent a lot of time looking for staff to help us. For example, no one was there when we arrived at reception. Breakfast the next morning was also walking into an empty room where we had to try and find some one to explain the process and take our order. As I said, it was midweek but maybe work on having your staff more available when there are guests on the property
Beautiful view! Rooms were clean and neat!
The Cottage was nestled amongst natural trees and indigenous vegetation and blended well into its surroundings offering a wonderful private and relaxing stay. Stunning views of the rolling mountains and cliffs and the misty mornings made the start of the day special. The rooms are spacious with tasteful decor and 5-star comfort. Anyone who loves the outdoor country feel must put this lodge on their bucket list. Friendly staff and a wonderful host, and a generous breakfast to get your day going.
the pathways to the rooms and other facilities could be a bit more modernised from the mud and walking comfortably for the more elderly.
Ntoo was great on arrival
Bedroom floors were dirty, feet were black after walking on them. Breakfast servings was a bit slow, I think lack of staff probably the reason for this, they were very pleasant though.
The layout was amazing and far above our expectations. Views were spectacular. The dinning room felt cozy and very up market. The breakfast was a great hit.
nothing
Location and cleanliness
Interleading rooms with big gaps below doors so there was no noise privacy at all. Very strange as they imply that the rooms seperate little cottages in the photos.

Breakfast staff about confused
The venue was really good with good accommodation and a friendly atmosphere
We arrived by Harley motorcycle and the road wasn't the best for that mode of transport. The booking agent said it was fine for a motorcycle but Harley Davidson's are not good on gravel
It feels like you are out in the bush while in reality Hilton is minutes away
There should be a round plug for the hairdryer provided

The waterfall
Unhygenic, terrible value for money. The pictures need to be updated, the place needs a renovation.
Beautiful setting and super comfortable beds
The view
Arrived and staff member could not have been bothered to even show us where the room was nor carry our bags or at least offer to help. Bedding old and stale, uncomfortable bed, shower blocked and overflowed. Felt like the place needed a good clean and refurb.
Bush outlook
The picturesque views of the mountains. The room was lovely. Saw quite a few wildlife. The manager was on the ball with helping us at any given time.
The cleanliness of the rooms needs to be improved on. Housekeeping doesn’t sweep properly, I found dead moths on the floor that were there from the previous night after housekeeping had been in. The floors need to be mopped especially the bathroom as it has a white mat by the shower, after getting out the shower, the mat turns red from the dust/ whatever is on the concrete floor.
The setting is incredible, the rooms and bed are amazing, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the brekkie are delish
Nada
We had a great stay room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The road getting to the place was a sand road but not to bad
The road getting to the place. No other comments
View was amazing from our room. Very lovely scenery. Pool was refreshing and the journey to the waterfall was even better.
The trail need signs. We did get lost on occasion.

The lodge was so beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast was lovely too.
I wish I stayed longer.
Wow the lodge's location is great! Beautiful scenery with a waterfall across. It was spectacular! Even though we spent one night, it is a beautiful place for relaxing & enjoy nature. The area is gorgeous. We will definitely come again.
