The scenery is very beautiful, but I find that the beds need to be improved as I battled to sleep the time I was there. The king bed was formulated by joining 2 quarter beds together and the line that joins the beds together was really uncomfortable and made it very difficult for me to sleep. I wanted to stay much longer but I thought of how uncomfortable the bed is and decided not to extend my stay. Another issue I did not like was the temperature of water in the shower. Middleburg is cold and found the lukewarm water not pleasant for morning cold showers. I think the rest was excellent, especially the food was very nice. I had the best lamb chops I have ever tasted. One last issue was the doors that separate the rooms have to be stronger as to improve the privacy between the two joining rooms. You always could hear all that was happening in the next room.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Wonderful Stay at Rustique Boutique Hotel The Rustique Boutique Hotel was an absolute highlight of our journey through South Africa and the perfect stopover between Kruger National Park and Johannesburg. From the very first moment, we felt genuinely welcome. The reception was warm, honest and incredibly friendly – exactly the kind of hospitality that makes a stay special. The location is fantastic. From the hotel you have a beautiful view over a small lake, where we could watch zebras and donkeys – a wonderful and very authentic South African experience. Sitting there and simply enjoying the view was one of the most memorable moments of our stay. Our room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully maintained, with coffee and tea available – everything you need to relax after a long day of travelling. And then there is the food: absolutely outstanding! The steaks were simply a dream – perfectly prepared, incredibly tasty and definitely among the best we had during our trip. Rustique Boutique Hotel combines warm hospitality, a beautiful setting, comfortable rooms and exceptional food in a wonderful way. A perfect stopover, but honestly, a place where we would have loved to stay longer. Highly recommended! 🇿🇦❤️

Loved the water views and the animals roaming around on the property.

The room was cold and the aircon kept blowing cold air. There was only 1 blanket which wasn’t the warmest either. The shower gel provided is a minute bottle, despite the room having two occupants. The TV isn’t a smart TV so we were forced to watch DStv. Internet connection was spotty. Menu was also rather disappointing. It was also interesting how the manager/owner checked on the Caucasian couple next to us at dinner (to make sure they’re warm) but not on us.

Very cold in June! The open plan room and screed flooring lends itself to being too cold. Electric blankets or a gas heater would help.

Lots of room inside. Loved the fact that Zebra came to graze by my window and I could watch them.

Struggled with ground water on the grassy area in front of the porch. They could try change the breakfast menu; if you stay there for a number of days, you get tired from eating the same thing daily.

I did the booking for my wife, she enjoyed the place.

My wife was improperly compelled by the receptionist to pay an additional fee for an extra guest, despite the booking clearly indicating a single occupant. The receptionist addressed her in a raised and inappropriate manner, in the presence of other staff members, causing unnecessary embarrassment and distress. Under these circumstances, my wife felt pressured to pay the additional amount simply to bring the matter to an end. This conduct was unacceptable and falls short of expected professional and customer service standards.

Die etwas abgelegene Anlage liegt sehr schön an diesem kleinen See und bringt viel Erholung. Die Zimmer sind toll eingerichtet, das Motto ist gut getroffen und umgesetzt worden. Das Personal, von der Anmeldung bis zu Restaurant-Service, ist super und sehr freundlich. Da gibt man gerne ein höheres Trinkgeld. Das Frühstück war ausgewogen und ausreichend, allerdings hätte etwas Marmelade nicht schaden können.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Likhulile at reception and our waitress, Maxine. The accommodation is beautiful, clean, lots of space and unique. The view from our unit was outstanding, looking out over the dam and with Zebras walking around. The bar and restaurant were a total pleasure. The food was fantastic! Wonderful winelist. We've already recommended Rustique to our friends.

spider webs on the entrance door, spider webs on the lights, rat poop on the table and in the bathroom. sounded like insects were living in the room. breakfast was super oily, i did not eat the omellette.

super schön gelegen mitten in der Natur, Zebras direkt vor der Tür, Ausstattung und Stil der Zimmer sind sehr schön, Personal war sehr nett, Abendessen im Restaurant sehr lecker

nachts war es leider sehr hellhörig durch Tiere auf dem Dach weshalb Schlafen leider fast unmöglich war, die Gemeinschaftsräume wie z.B. das Restaurant wirken ungemütlich - hier fehlt meiner Meinung nach die Liebe zum Detail

There's a lot of water in the area so walking around becomes a little messy. They have a gas geyser because they're extremely environmentally friendly so filling up your bath time takes some time

Right in front of the door to the unit was a muddy mess that stank and it was green slimmy and black and it was clearly there for months and no attempt was made to clean it. The units are in clusters of two with interleading door but no sound proofing. We could hear the people next door fart, make love and there after snor the whole damn night. The most terrible stay in any location we ever experienced.

The breakfast was nice, I had requested to have it in my room and that was granted. I enjoyed it very much.

The shower walls and flooring had grime luckily the tub was there as an alternative, this is something a good scrub can solve. Please look into thoroughly cleaning some spaces in your rooms.

No Parking, no pools, no access road. The were loud pigeons on the roof, you won't sleep. the shower was not clean at all. The restaurant has the dirtiest toilet I've ever seen, some of them were not even flushed

Het hotel ligt landelijk met meertje voor de kamer met zebra;s in de tuin. Inchecken verliep snel. Kamer was goed ingericht en compleet. Extra leuk terras voor de deur, auto parkeren voor de kamer.

Er viel niets tegen. Dit hotel is een prima tussenstop na aankomst in Johannesburg op weg naar het krugerpark.

Perfect place for a rest on the way to Krüger Parc. Nice view onto a little lake and zebras running around. Very friendly staff and nice restaurant with good food.

The property was normal. Not exciting. The pond was lovely, with a beautiful view.

Extremely disappointed about the room- we could hear our neighbours talking. And when we came back from our event at aroun 11, we could hear the neighbour snoring. Water pressure low- taking a shower was not enjoyable. The welcoming at reception was a little disappointing. Felt like they Almost wanted to get us to the room and then done. Security was questionable. No gate or guard at the facility. The breakfast options are three. Which u can only choos from. Why don’t they disclose this before booking? We asked for a romantic setup (which we didn’t mind paying for) , but our request was seemingly not considered. They didn’t bother.
