Raptor Rise Farm

The property is easy to find using Google Maps. It’s very lovely and secluded, very quiet and peaceful. The animals are also cute, the sheep are curious and some of the chickens are friendly is you’re calm.

Pristine, friendly staff, comfortable room at a great price. All round a pleasant experience.

The farm is incredibly beautiful and peaceful and the staff were super helpful and friendly. The Barn was well equipped and super comfortable and the complimentary wood was a lovely generous touch.

The setting was lovely & tranquil. A peaceful break away from the busy city life. Mini kitchen was well equipped. Great mini braai facilities on the patio.

No electric blanket for the cold winters nights🥴 A little table & chair in the corner unit rooms would be ideal if you want to enjoy your breakfast, otherwise you have to sit on the patio which is not ideal when it rains.

The rooms were very well-appointed. clean, spacious enough and comfortable, especially the beds. The warm shower and outside patio were great to enjoy after a long drive, and so were the great moutnain views. We really enjoyed our stay at Raptor Rise Farm and will most likely come back.

The walls are quite thin between the rooms. Some guests also clearly felt like they owned the place by talking loudly outside until 1am, with no regard to others. Signs reminding people to be quiet and respectful of other guests should probably be added in the patio areas.

Everything was amazing.

Nothing

Excellent location, great views and peaceful. Well-equipped and clean room with a very comfortable bed. All the amenities one would expect of an establishment like this. Friendly and helpful staff

N/A

Very well run properly with beautiful views over a working farm. Room as it is a the advertising.

Ablutions not suitable for retired or elderly persons. Showering in the bathtub is difficult and requires the assistance of the partner - no non-slip mat supplied.

Beautiful peaceful location

A few suggestions for inside accommodation - a mirror and dressing table with plug point for hairdryer in the bedroom. More towel rails in the bathroom. A dish that fits in the microwave - otherwise it is fabulous

die omgewing en die venu is asemrowend mooi, personeel ongelooflik vriendelik en behulpsaam

daar was nie 'n koffie plunger of 'n braaitang in die eenheid nie.

Location

Room was too tiny, bathroom too small, doors to the bathroom are challenging to open and close, especially during the night, when my partner slept

We were just overnighting but we loved our stay. The heating came in handy, the view was divine!

Scenery was beautiful, being able to walk around the farm and see the different animals on the farm was definitely a highlight for my daughter! We will 100% be back, multiple mountain bike tracks available for cyclists in different directions from the farm. Accommodation was super cozy, beautifully designed and laid out. Exceptionally clean, well looked after and maintained.

Stunning views. Nice to walk around property. Everything you might need is in the room

Beautiful, very neat, clean and comfortable.

It was incredibly peaceful and pleasant. The scenery was magnificent and loved the animals.

Wonderful location and getaway for relaxation. The farmhouse is stunning and the feature of the premises. Stable Rooms were comfortable and relatively well equipped even if it's just for a couple looking to order in. (Kettle, Cutlery, Utensils, Tea/Coffee etc)

No complaints honestly

Spacious room with magnificent views, comfy bed. Friendly staff and great facilities

Nothing

emplacement top entouré de montagnes , logemnt tres propre et confortable , piscine tres agreable

Everyone was so accommodating, helping us find supper. Which was amazing. Staff was wonderful and a dip in the cool pool was "lekker"

Raptor Rise Farm is a little piece of heaven. Our room was private and beautiful and incredibly comfortable. The views were spectacular. We felt completely relaxed and at ease. Exactly what we needed. The receptionist was incredibly communicative and accommodating and so pleasant to deal with. We will definitely be back, hopefully for a longer say. One night was not enough to experience all the Farm and area has on offer.

Unfortunately the shower pressure was not great. But that’s a small issue in the grand scheme.

Beautiful farm stay, close to wonderful wine farms. Beautiful decor. The kitchens in every room were a nice touch, and making the large dining hall and braai facilities available to us added to a very positive experience. We look forward to returning! The neighbouring farm. Swanepoel wines, is a must -see (including the Boegoe Trail).

Such a beautiful surrounding filled with tranquility. De suites and stables are completely equiped with everything you might need. The braai on your porch is an absolute extra! The winery’s and little town of Tulbagh are a lust for the eyes. The staff and host are friendly and accommodating.

If your scared of dogs walking around this is not your place. And host should keep in mind that some of the guest will feed the dogs which is not good for them healthwise.

Magnificent views from well equipped rooms! The tiny braai / barbeque on our private patio was a welcome addition which we appreciated. It's the small touches that made the stay exceptional.

We liked everything!

The view of the valley

A bit too compact.

Rustig gelegen, met mooi uitzicht. Klein maar fijn zwembad. Prettig contact met eigenaar. Alle faciliteiten beschikbaar.

Location and views

Would prefer parking closer to room, especially when self-catering.

The rooms were beautiful, functional, smelled so nice. The scenery is amazing, so calm and tranquil.

That I only stay one night.

GORGEOUS PLACE! We loved every single minute spent there. Quiet peaceful place, clean, beautiful surroundings… it was perfection to us. We will definitely be back.

Ambience, the valley and the area situated within. Easy to find. Good communication between accomodation and me. WhatsApp communication all along. Shirts were ironed without costs and hesitation. Elmien was great! Kudos to her

Nothing to comment.

Mooie locatie, goed bed, goede badkamer

De check in draait een beetje op automatische piloot, weinig persoonlijke ontvangst

We had an amazing stay at the cottage. The space was perfect for us to spend some down time as a family and there was enough rooms and space for us. The pool was amazing for the kids!

Only thing I would say is they should add a drying rack of sorts outside as after swimming we had a lot of wet towels / costumes and no where to really dry them.

It was stunning. The attention to detail, the facilities and the setting were above expectations.

Having to check out, it was such a great stay.

Amazing Views, Nice Kitchen and Living Space (The Foundry), Wood for the Braai, amazing Stainless Steel Braai. Nice pool and facilities.

The Unit could at least be serviced. The fact that it's "on request" is just lazy and not in line with price. Service the unit auto.

Very impressive property all round. Room great, staff excellent, pool was a lifesaver in 40 degree heat. Thank goodness for effective air conditioning in the room.

Nothing.

Great for overnight stay. Comfortable.

Die Lage, die Aussicht, der Pool, die Ruhe, die Tiere. Die Farm ist wünderschön gelegen!

Beautiful area

Access road in poor condition

The view, garden, and accommodation were like home away from home.

Nothing

The location, views and beautiful garden and pool. The property is neat and clean and very well maintained.

The bath/shower is not very comfortable and could be slippery.

We stayed in the spacious, and incredibly well equipped Farmhouse. The views from the property are tremendous, and we enjoyed the privacy and the peace and quiet.

Nothing- all was wonderful

The light in the bathroom was broken, which we only realized when we returned from dinner which was late in the evening.

The animals were lovely and surroundings were beautiful. Beds and linen were outstanding.

Room was very small and a bit squashed.

Beautiful property, staff were lovely and friendly and the room was very comfortable

Beautiful location

The privacy and the quietness of the surroundings.

Nothing

Everything was beautifull

A nice outdoor braai would be a great add on.

The farm itself is lovely and well maintained. The rooms are well equiped and the amenities in the bathroom feel and smell good. Each room comes fully equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, kettle, plunger, toaster and lots of utensils, hair dryer and safe as well as a mini braai on the quaint stoep - all of good quality. The view is spectacular!

We booked a double room and was upgraded to a suite, but because we came with friends, we asked to move back to the double rooms. We were moved to room 4 which was a really great room with ample space, lots of windows and a nice spacious bathroom - 10 out of 10. Next morning the staff informed us that someome else booked room 4 - we had to move to room 2 - a matchbox with no room to turn around (especially in the small bathroom). What a disappointment as the whole farm and all the other places were practically empty since we were there from Sunday to Tuesday ..... Still the walks were good and the farm itself really lovely.

It was a magical few days.. the setting was amazing and the little lambs were so cute… just so very peaceful.. The house had everything you needed and so beautifully done … We are definately going back !!

Absolutely beautiful farm stay

Absolutely everything we didnt want to leave and we will ne back

Nothing we didn't like

The stay was absolutely phenomenal! It is a working farm and our view from our room was amazing. We could see all the sheep with the little lambs jumping around. Just around the corner are the horse stables and the horses are super friendly! Absolute farm feeling! You can walk around the farm to explore the beautiful scenery. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. If you are in the Tulbagh area this is the place to stay!

Beautiful location, amazing staff, and if you love animals, an extra bonus.

Nothing - exceptional!

We arrived and fairly late and made a short notice booking. The welcome was extremely friendly, the accommodation much better than expected. We stayed in The Barn. Very spacious, well equipped kitchen, quiet and secure location, super comfortable bed, great shower, lovely fireplace. We could not have asked for more and hope to come back and stay for longer.

Beautifully kept farm - we saw lambs being born while we were there - The staff are super friendly and the units are very well kitted out. A lot of thought has gone into every detail - we will definitely be back!

NA

The view was stunning

The pillows were uncomfortable. The room wasn't what I expected for a suite

It is quiet with the most beautiful mountains. The host was super friendly and ensured that we were comfortable and had everything we needed as we wanted to braai (BBQ).

We loved everything about this place but if you want to do self catering, rather book the deluxe room for a little bit of extra space. If you only to need to make coffee, the double rooms are perfectly fine.

The floor was quite dirty

Room was clean and had everything you needed, the bed was very comfortable. The view of the mountains was inspiring, and the wine farms in the area friendly and offer great selections

Leaving !!
