Reviewed Aug 15, 2025The stay was great! They had created an amazing itinerary that kept us busy and engaged. The food was also very nice.
We were travelling with a child and the bed was big enough for 3 people. We definitely plan on going there again. The walk to the amenities in the property is a little steep, so would recommend people visiting to be prepared for stairs and walking at the hotel. But all in all - a very unique and wonderful experience!

The only drawback is uber does not come here so you have to book local taxi.
We booked a local taxi to Delhi airport which was around Rs.3500.

It’s certainly an experience to stay here. It’s very close to the main road from Jaipur to Delhi so a good place to stop at on the way, we stayed 2 nights but apparently most people only stay 1.
On arrival some confusion with bags and what’s happening but once we reached reception all was quickly sorted and our bags were carried up the steep steps to reach our room. We had a small suite which was great, very clean, comfortable bed, kettle, fridge, bottles if drinking water do all good. No Tv but you don’t need one as the views and wandering around the fort keeps you busy plus 2 swimming pools, the top one only for adults.
The Wi-Fi is a bit intermittent but it’s fine.
There is a bar and restaurant separate from the main restaurant where buffet meals are served. Drink prices were comparable to UK prices and poor beer selection like most of India but food was good, good buffet at breakfast and staff were very helpful.
We loved wandering around, up and down stairs through sloping passageways to a new vista or an area with seating. The highlight for us was the walking tour the reception arranged for us with Baloo a local guide, we went to the stepwell that’s a15 minute walk away and wandered through Neemrana village chatting to some locals and seeing the potter, the blacksmith, the silversmith and I got a haircut at the barbers, my wife bought a beautiful silver bangle in the village at very good price. If you have time ask reception for the walking tour it was fab.

Reviewed Jan 11, 2024Lovely building. I got the lunch and dinner which were great. The dance show was great. The breakfast was not good at all - very limited options. I got there early and it was only staff and everyone was coughing and spluttering all over the food. If people are ill they shouldn't be working with food or in food areas. The shower was very average - not hot enough and not enough pressure. The only heating was a little fan heater in the room.

Reviewed Nov 16, 2023Tiny room with grubby shower which bore no relation to pictures of room type. Failed to advise we needed to turn on geyser in advance for hot water, no facility for snacks/drinks outside of specific times, advised very curtly in arrival ‘it’s not a hotel, no room service etc’ - worst, enquired day prior to departure re taxi booking and informed they could book it. Next day the price had trebled and we were informed Ubers don’t come here. The taxi was in fact the hotel car which was vastly overpriced. Didn’t bother me but nothing in ad to say absolutely not suitable for mobility impaired. Interesting and quirky building but would not recommend.

The ac was not cooling properly
We were given room in very isolated location
Room provided was different to the room advertised. Room advertised was Heritage but room provided was Sutra. This room was sun standard in build quality, it was not authentic and quality of workmanship was substandard.
Receptionist uses very authoritative tone, absolutely no customer service skills, doesn’t even ask you to sit before pulling documents. As we had to drive 3 hours to reach, I requested to send my husband’s id after reaching room, but she is in insensitive towards our situation. Food is terrible, pathetic, nothing is fresh , edible.. some folks use dirty hands to hold serving spoon, put their fingers in the dish to taste .. very filthy… and to top it all , there is no hot water in the room, room is like a box , no ventilation, suffocating, no proper lighting … I checked in at 1 pm and checked out at 8 pm couldn’t stay longer than that...

Reviewed Aug 2, 2019This is a magical place of such wonderous and intricate design that one can spend a day just exploring and marvelling at the features and the views. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with a large bathroom with bath and separate shower. The main bedroom had desks and a sitting area with table, a fridge and very effective AC as well as a couple of ceiling fans. A very well equipped and maintained room The room had a shady balcony with trees around and a small table and chairs on it to sit in private and relax with a newspaper in the morning. Staff everywhere were fantastic, frienly, polite, helpfull. Pools were clean, restaurant food was excellent. Will come again.

Reviewed Jun 18, 2019Staying at a historic place is an experience by itself. Rooms are not your typical hotel rooms. We stayed at Krishna Mahal, which they upgraded us from what we had orginally booked. It had an amazing view from one of its two balconies. Friendly and courteous staff made our stay very memorable. Love to come back again in Winter or Spring.

Reviewed May 10, 2019We went to Neemrana last weekend. Overall our experience was decent, the upkeep of the property was good, the staff was courteous, the food quality was decent but lacked variety, there were no a-la-carte options & only buffet for all 3 meals and the wifi was spotty. The fact that all residential areas are on top and you have to climb all those stairs up the mountain was irksome.
But there are 2 things that I found quite troublesome:
1) Our rooms were untidy. There was so much dust on the floor that it looked like the room had not been swept in days/weeks. The linen was unclean, pillows were dirty with bad stains on them & no covers, had to get them changed in the night when we saw them. The couch in our room had bad stains on it. The towels in the bathroom were dirty & had blood/paan stains on them.
2) No swimming pool etiquette was followed. The pools had attendants but either they were oblivious to the pool etiquette or they just did not care. Guests were jumping in the pool in whatever night clothes they had when they woke up, didn't even bother to take shower before going in the pool. Overall, it was rather disgusting.
For a place that charges like a 5-star hotel and calls itself a 4.5 star hotel, it was nowhere up to the mark. When one pays INR 12000+ per night, one doesn't expect decent service but good/great service. I've stayed in 3 star hotels which have charged half or 2/3 of the amount and have had far better cleanliness & hygiene than this place.

Reviewed Feb 15, 2019Lovely ambience, unique experience. Showers/bath should be improved as the water pressure is super low and the water heater is tiny.

Reviewed Jan 22, 2019Been there multiple times. Friendly service, fun location, great food. Pool was not functional this time and they actually mentioned that on the website BEFORE showing up! So many hotels in India don't tell you what's broken until you get there and they let you down once they have your money. Neemrana didn't do that, props to them for that and will definitely go again!

Reviewed Aug 10, 2018One does not go to this hotel to stay. One goes to experience the luxury and the opulence of a fort Palace and on that count we were not disappointed. The fort itself, the experience of the Rajasthani Song and dance show in the evening and the lazy evening stroll could not have been more welcome for a work weary Delhiite. The food was disappointing though. The best dish was the freshly prepared Pasta which was available with vegetarian option only. The rest of the items were nothing to write home about. We did order the famous "Laal Maas" which was duly prepared and served. It was quite good and should be part of the buffet.
The room was expensive for the views it provided (I think it was one of the budget rooms, the Burj Mahal).
Nevertheless, One should try this experience once in a lifetime. And not to miss out on the zip lining tour!

Reviewed Apr 23, 2018There is no room service! please keep that in mind before booking.
There are a lot of stairs to climb no matter where you want to go. If you have even the smallest of problems with your legs, you will have a tough time here.
The dinner and breakfast buffet are good although not as good as one would expect given the price.
The pools are absolutely fantastic.
Keep in mind that this is a heritage hotel. Even though you are paying five-star hotel prices, the level of luxuries offered are not what you would expect.
Also, I don't know if it was only on that day or not. But its lights out at 10 P.M.! and most of the staff leaves the hotel. The entire area gets so dark that you cant venture out till morning and have no option but to lock yourself up in your room.
Despite its oddities, all in all a very relaxing stay.

Reviewed Apr 16, 2018This is a lovely hotel, though only stay here if you are happy walking up and down as it is on many levels. We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed sitting by pool and relaxing on our last night in India. The only slight issues for us were that there was no tonic water for a G&T, which seemed really odd for a 4* hotel, and that the evening meal was a buffet, down stays in a very bland room. It just seemed odd not to make use of the copious amount of outside space and have a restaurant with inside and outside seating options.

Reviewed Mar 31, 2018We had been planning Neemrana for quite sometime now given its historic relevance. There were many things which we were unhappy about. Booking via Expedia you do not get to know your room classification and that’s the entire charm coz each room is so distinct. After much haggling at the reception can you manage yourself a room of a neat choice. The buffet as per me is quite average given that this is a luxury property and for the price one pays. The multimedia headset for the heritage walk were non functional so that left us to our own vessels to figure the fort. You can keep calling the front desk forever and there would be 3/ 10 times that your call would be answered. This property has been there for long and the lackadaisical attitude at every level is evident.
Having been to India 11 times before, I wanted to take my daughter as a graduation gift to India. After all, she is part Indian. So I looked for things outside what I normally knew to do or go. Fort Neemrana was a true gem, a great adventure as it was all that we needed for our two night stay. The food was amazing, the staff very friendly. We had plenty of things to do inside the hotel. Zipline, Camel-ride, Step-well and amazing beauty all around. It was really a wonderful experience, like nothing I have experienced before. We had hundreds of steps to climb to get to our room, located at the very top, so we felt justified to eat and enjoy the delicious food prepared daily for us.
