Hotel Cidade de Olhão

Location is excellent this is the main reason we picked this hotel and it did not disappoint us.

Nothing

Rien!

The staff are super friendly and very accommodating. The pool area is very relaxing, with a decent size pool. The bed in the room is a good size, and very comfortable. Short walk to the town centre.

The shower could do with a bit of tlc, as the grout has become black in it. Only room for one persons clothes in the small wardrobe. A privacy curtain that allows light in during the day, as we had to have the lights on most of the time as the neighbouring apartments looked right into our room.

Great place! Staff amazing. Fab breakfast, spotlessly clean!

Such an amazing hotel. Staff were Absoulty exceptionnel, so kind. I was so impressed by them all. The hotel was in perfect condition. Our rooms was clean, the pool was clean . Couldn’t recommend a better hotel.

Location is near enough to all restaurants, market area but at the same time is a quiet area. Very comfy room. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. We always repeat stays in this hotel.

Staff welcoming and friendly Breakfast good selection, very fresh produce Good poolside area

Nothing to dislike

Area was lovely, quiet two minute walk to old town and the sister hotel which we visited a couple of times to watch the sunset and sip drinks by the rooftop bar. Pool was spotless, could always get a sunbed to relax even in July. Breakfast good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Olhao is such a perfect place for relaxing. Fabulous beaches of the lagoon islands easily accessible by ferry. Would highly recommend and definitely planning a return visit to the hotel and area.

Fridge in the triple room made constant groaning noise but we got used to it.

Bonne situation.

The staff were extremely friendly and available 24/7. The breakfast was wonderful, and the room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything you could possibly need. The location is absolutely fantastic, and we never had any trouble finding parking, even though the hotel itself doesn’t provide it. The hotel pool is just the right size for relaxing and unwinding.

Przyjemny hotel. Super obsługa. Pokoje na 3 plus

Quiet, central hotel and exceptionally clean.

Great friendly staff and extremely clean and quiet. Good breakfast and comfy bed

Lovely clean and quiet hotel, very friendly and helpful staff

Very enjoyable stay, lovely clean hotel, had twin room, nice size for 2, good en-suite. Had breakfast included, contential style buffer, comfortable sun loungers & pool area. 24/7 reception which was ideal for our late night check-in & early morning check-out due to our flights.Would be very happy to go back again

Nothing

Modern and stylish hotel with great service and facilities. Near to all amenities and a relaxing place to stay. Highly recommended.

Lovely and clean and very pretty

The pool, the breakfast and the room

Good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool area and not far from town centre

Room was small but if only using for sleeping won't be an issue

Nada…

All the staff were lovely, but have to say Alexandre & Iara were amazing ,helpful and very friendly. The bed was so comfortable honest can't wait to go back next year. which is booked already .Thanks for everything xx

Nothing

Its location, the breakfast was great ! And the staff were very friendly and always helpful, and the room was perfect really liked having the fridge in the room.

The was no veranda.

Limpieza y la cama

No hay aparcamiento

Tolle, moderne Zimmer. Rundum sehr sauber. Leckeres Frühstück. Nettes Personal

This is my second time staying here. I just love this hotel. The staff are very friendly, efficient and helpful, especially Ilara and Alexandre. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, the beds are comfy, and the mini pasteis at breakfast are delicious. I think this hotel has a bit more character than its sister hotel Pure Formosa, which is slightly more spacious and central, but that’s just personal preference.

Todo bien

.

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms and good breakfast.

Quite a high price (but high season).

Wonderfully clean and modern hotel, with lovely friendly staff. Beforehand we were concerned that we’d struggle to get sun beds but there was always plenty. Having the bar and toilets so close was handy (though it would’ve been nice to have more food options!) and being able to borrow pool towels was really good. There was someone on reception 24/7 which was ideal as we had awkward flight times, we could’ve book airport transfers with them (ask during/after booking), but found uber was slightly cheaper.

Only negative is the direct location, it is in a run down area and didn’t feel particularly safe outside the hotel for the first 5 min walk. We are quite anxious people, but just something to be aware of. Apart from that everything was great, and it wouldn’t stop us from returning!

Hotel cómodo, limpio, bonito y bien situado. A unos 10 minutos andando del puerto. El personal muy agradable. Muchas gracias. Repetiremos.

The staff were very warm and friendly and did everything they could to help us. It's a great location, close to the station and a quick walk into the town centre. The bed was comfy and very clean. The pool was lovely and a great option for a non beach day.

Very good

Having no balcony

Frühstück klasse, alles perfekt zubereitet, Brötchen und Croissants immer warm

Sauberkeit der Zimmer nach dem Zimmerservice

Uroczy, kameralny hotel w centrum miasta. ładnie urządzony pokój, z czajnikiem i kubeczkami. Bardzo dogodna lokalizacja, praktycznie w centrum miasta. Klasyczne śniadania - produkty bardzo dobrej jakości. Przyjemny basen - dostępne dodatkowe ręczniki do użycia na basenie. Pomocny personel.

Klimatyzacja wymaga oczyszczenia. Brak parkingu, niemniej jednak można znaleźć miejsca w bliższej lub dalszej okolicy.

Very smart and clean hotel enjoyable stay

nothing

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and the pool was a great amenity. They provide pool towels at the reception. The staff were very helpful, gave us information about the local ferries to the beaches and where to eat etc.

Nothing!

Super handy and close to the waterfront of olhāo. All members of staff we came across were always super accommodating, friendly and helpful. For our first ever visit to this beautiful fishing village, we know we will be back!

My mum and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely come back. All the staff are so friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating. The facilities are very clean and comfortable - and we particularly enjoyed relaxing by the pool with an apple cider (pool spot also quiet/calm which was great for us!) The breakfast is so fresh & delicious - a good mixture of pasteries, cold meats/cheeses, gorgeous fruit etc. I really looked forward to it every morning! Olhão itself is a really beautiful spot - the restaurants and views are 10/10! You can walk from the hotel to the main restaurant/bar area in about 15 mins - my mum has a bad hip at the moment so we used Ubers quite a bit which we found very easy/reliable and only cost about £4 a trip. Shout out espeically to Erica and Alexandre who really took such good care of us & helped me out with my limited knowledge of Portugese! 🇵🇹 Overall fabulous value for money & the perfect stay if you're ready to relax & make wonderful memories ❤️

The atmosphere was stress free and staff named Alex so helpful

More restaurants closer

O check out era 12h e podemos aproveitar a piscina no dia seguinte.

Nada

Breakfast was tasty, staff were helpful, accommodation was clean and comfy. Our room came with a private kitchen, which was really handy. Lovely pool and great that they have a cut-off time in the evening, so pool-users don't disturb guests. Great location for a chill city break. Our room was right next to the pool and it was nice a quiet at the times we were sleeping. Easy to get into Faro by train from here.

Pool was a bit small, felt a bit like sharing a bath with a stranger if other guests got in with you. But not a major issue!

Super consigliato

Struttura ammodernata abbastanza in centro

This hotel was exceptional. The hotel was immaculately clean. The beds and bed linen were so comfortable. Staff were so friendly. The pool area was a complete hide away of paradise!

Piscina.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was excellent.

As in most hotels in Portugal, parking if you have a vehicle proves to be an issue.

Great location, pool area is great. Rooms are clean and air conditioned. Staff were lovely

Simpatia e limpeza muito bom, pequeno almoço variado e saboroso. Zona calma.

desayuno corecto

Staff so welcoming and helpful. The hotel was spotless staff cleaning all the time . Rooms small but adequate for a few night stay. Pool a delight in the hot weather.

Nothing

Fabulous stay . Hotel staff very freindly . Super clean hotel. Pool never busy so was nice to relax Ideal location, less than 10 min walk to harbour. 100% stay again

Everything was fab

Bardzo miła obsługa, różnorodne śniadania.

nic

One of the best hotels ever stayed at in terms of service. The attention to detail is outstanding, the staff are incredibly accommodating, everything is spotless, and any request is handled promptly. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious, and the ladies at the reception are simply amazing. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel! You will not regret staying there!

A simpatia. As camas. A piscina e o espaço exterior.

O pequeno almoço. Sempre igual.

This hotel is a very decent pick at a reasonable rate. It has an indoor pool, which is cool if you want to get a tan or swim in the mornings. Conveniently located near train station in Olhao. The room was ready early for check in and got a 30-min late check out, which we appreciated.

It's in Olhao, so you still need to take the train to Faro or to other destinations in the area (trains here have un unreliable schedule). They have a very annoying breakfast schedule, where they do slots and you need to book in advance. Creates unnecessary hassle.

Friendly staff and good breakfast buffet!

None

Good location for Olhao. Close to the train station. Quiet pool area. Towels for the pool. Room cleaned most days. Friendly staff.

Missed having a balcony 😬.

Nada a assinalar

I loved the simplicity, and the ease of everything. Wish we had more time there!!

The only thing that would have been good is water in the room on arrival! But thats it.

Such a lovely comfortable hotel

Nothing
