We really loved our stay at Manor on the Bay and our hosts, Sebastiaan and Jenny, couldn't have made us feel more welcome. I was a little worried about arriving later than their check-in, but I didn't need to worry... Sebastiaan was there waiting for us with a very warm and friendly welcome. The building is beautiful with incredible views of the Bay and is ideally situated right on the beach with restuarants and amenities all within walking distance. Just superb in every way and they deserve to do incredibly well. Hopefully it won't be too long until we can return there.

Lovely selection of breakfast items with options for cooked eggs or omelette. Wonderful recommendations for places to visit via Uber. We had a little trouble with the app - but our hosts were knowledgeable and helpful. Location is perfect, across from the beach and within walking distance of good restaurants.

We wished we could have spent more time in Gordon’s Bay.

Location is amazing, just next to the sea.house is historic build in 1862 and beautifully renovated. Owners are looking after this place with .lovebreakfasts. were elegant and healthy. .hospitality is great. We definitely will come back.

Beautiful location wuth a glorious sunset. We were upgraded to an ocean view which was much appreciated. The owner was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. We had an early check out so had to miss breakfast but we were very kindly provided with bags to go. The whole place was spotless and very comfortable: great beds, air conditioning and honesty bar, plus beautiful gardens.

We had a truly wonderful and unforgettable stay at Manor on the Bay. From the very first moment, we felt incredibly welcome and well taken care of by Jenny and Sebastian – two warm, attentive and genuinely caring hosts who run their guesthouse with so much love. The house itself is beautiful, clean, very well maintained and tastefully decorated, with a relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away. The location right on Gordons Bay, perfect starting point to Clearance Drive and lots of other locations, the delicious breakfast and all the thoughtful little details in the service made our stay really special – we honestly wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend Manor on the Bay to anyone visiting the area! Million Thanks to Jenny and Sebastian for making this such a beautiful stay for us...

Location was perfect, just opposite the beach, accommodation was complete luxury, Rooms were spotless, beds were extremely comfortable, staff were very friendly. Hosts, Jenny and Sebastian were so amazing, welcoming, helpful, etc and the breakfast (and coffee) was 10/10

Manor on the Bay was one of the best places we stayed at during our CPT trip. Sebastiaan was incredibly accommodating regarding our early check-in request, and we cannot thank him enough for it! The room was beyond what I expected and it was so romantic. Hearing the ocean outside our bedroom windows was so relaxing. Everything about this stay was amazing. We will be returning for a much longer stay next time. Worth every penny!!

This privately run guest house / hotel is in a great location in Gordon’s bay. The owners were really welcoming and did every thing to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Great views from the property across False Bay and if you have an opportunity, try to choose Room No 1. Breakfast was exceptional and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be rebooking on our next visit to the area.

Ein Ort zum wohlfühlen. Sehr schöne Aussicht aufs Meer, sehr gutes Frühstück. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und haben uns gute Empfehlungen für die Besichtigung eines sehr schönen Weingutes, einen Spaziergang an der Küste und am Abend ein sehr feines Restaurant gegeben.

A warm welcome from the dedicated owner, so a real guesthouse ! The historical Manor with private parking can now be enjoyed by tourists all over the world, spacious trendy rooms with beautiful sea and table mountain view. Tasty breakfast ! Comfortabel garden beds in a nice garden. We loved so much the walks to the beach and café Zest. During our next holiday in South Africa we will book again here in this Manor !

Everything pertaining to my stay was excellent. The view is breathtaking. The food and room were of excellent quality. The owners` hospitality was refreshing.

We had an exceptional stay at Manor on the Bay! We loved the facilities and the location. The room was clean, beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts/ owners of the properly were very polite and welcoming. We can’t wait for our next visit!

What a lucky find! Spent the last couple of days of our S.A. round-trip at Manor on the Bay. Lovely old manor house. Lots of attention to detail (it's the little things that make a big difference). We were very comfortable. Enjoyed chatting to the friendly owners who made us feel very welcome. I would recommend without reservation and hope to stay there again when we are in Gordon’s Bay next time.

We only stayed one night, but our rooms were great and breakfast was good. The owners were very helpful allowing us to stay on half an hour beyond normal check out time to allow us to collect our son from the airport. And they gave him a free breakfast too!

We wished we could have stayed longer, but our itinerary didn't allow it.

We booked the Manors only available room ( the family suite) last minute. We were warmly greeted by Jenny, Sebastian and their son upon arrival. The room was a welcome surprise! So spacious and well appointed which was wonderful after our 2 month trip which involved some camping and stays in typical sized hotel rooms. There’s a nice lounge area, kitchen, and bunk beds. Lots of wardrobe space and a great bathroom with a huge shower. Double doors lead onto your own outside area with 2 sun loungers, umbrella, 2 chairs and a picnic table. This area is right opposite the beach so the views are wonderful. The bed was large, comfortable and with wonderful sheets. The honesty fridge and Lavazza coffee machine was much appreciated too. The Manor is in a perfect spot opposite the beach and walking distance to various bars and restaurants too. The breakfast was great which set us for the day on our drive to Cape Point. There’s only bad thing is we didn’t have more time at The Manor! Thanks to Sebastian and Jenny for a fabulous stay!

The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble . We enjoyed our stay, lovely spacious ocean view bedroom, comfortable bed, excellent shower. Comfortable sun loungers in grassed courtyard near swimming pool . Beach just across the road from this beautiful property , Restaurants cafes in walking distance. Area felt safe as did the property. Friendly and helpful staff . Good breakfast .. We enjoyed our stay this time and will definitely stay again.

The rooms are beautifully finished with great attention to detail, making the stay both comfortable and special. Everything is thoughtfully prepared and very well maintained. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic fresh, delicious, and clearly made with love each morning. It was the perfect start to the day. This is an exceptional B&B. The owners have taken care and thought into the preparation of the rooms - and the excellent comms made my planning arrival very easy. Upon arrival I was met with the very friendly son who explained exactly what I needed...including the well stocked fridge. I took his advice on where to go for a much needed beer and some snap. Marvellous. The breakfast was superb - variety of salamis and cheese, plus all kinds of cooked eggs etc. I loved the egg sandwiches. Plus marmite - only seen to date on the previous 6 B&B I've stayed at in RSA on this trip. Top marks. Thoroughly recommended !!

I would have like a more private patio area outside room but this is the design of the manor. We were offered another room with more privacy but decided to stay at the front with a bay view. It was still a fantastic stay.

Nous avons séjourné dans une très belle chambre au dernier étage. Belle vue. Jardin très agréable bien soigné. Emplacement très chouette avec de très belles plages pour y marcher au coucher du soleil. Beaux équipements et très bon petit-déjeuner ☺️. Échanges sympathiques avec le propriétaire qui nous a bien conseillé pour une magnifique plage avec grottes pour une belle balade.

Its a nice property right opposite the beach in the Gordon's bay area. The beach is just across the road from the property and the sea is visible from the beach facing rooms. We felt very welcomed and the stay was pleasant. The property is well maintained & the rooms are nicely furnished. The family that owns & manages the property are wonderful hosts. There was a small problem with the room lock when we checked-in. It was immediately worked upon although it took a little time. But, even during the fixing process, the hosts ensured we were comfortable & taken care of.

The hotel was superbly placed in Gordon’s Bay with stunning views over False Bay. The host Sebastian, his wife and Two sons were wonderful hosts.

What a find! This is by far one of the best b&b we have stayed in. It has wonderful views and 5* cleanliness. The hosts were amazing and extremely helpful and breakfast was first class too.

Coming back to one of our favorite guesthouses in South Africa, we were surprised to find new owners! We did't know we would find the friendliest, most helpful, most efficient landlords, it felt like staying with friends! Situated at a very convenient spot in Gordons Bay, beautiful view and a lovely garden that shelters from the street! Rooms are comfortable, space and well kept. Avery special place we will want to come bank to!

Fahrer (resp. sein Boss) hat uns am letzten Tag um 2 Stunden Fahrt betrogen (nlcht das gefahren wie abgemacht) mit. der Begründung "er müsste 2 Stunden früher am nächsten Jop sein. Stephan soll dem Taxichef 20 % abziehen!

Excellent location set back across the road from the beach. Spacious accommodation set in lawned garden with sun lounges and small pool. Above all the owners were lovely and very informative.

We loved our short stay here! Kindest owners, lovely atmosphere, beautiful and clean rooms. The view is incredible and the vibe very relaxed. My only feedback would be that the beds need mosquito nets as we had many mosquitos in our room and our sleep was disturbed.

I travel a lot and over the years stayed in more guesthouses and hotels I can remember. This was probably the best guesthouse I have stayed in. Owner and staff are super friendly and go beyond and above. Will recommend this place to anyone. Views are fantastic.

Een fantastische plek om te overnachten! Ontzettend aardige en gastvrije eigenaren, je voelt je meteen welkom door de hele familie en team. De ontvangst was bijzonder vriendelijk. De kamer was enorm ruim en prachtig gelegen. Je loopt zo naar verschillende restaurantjes en en het strand is voor het complex. Alles is tot in de puntjes onderhouden en zeer verzorgd. Daarnaast een heerlijk ontbijt om de dag goed te beginnen. Kortom: absoluut een 10 en een plek die we van harte aanraden!

Die Gastgeber, die Unterkunft . Da sind die Gastgeber noch bemüht um das Wohl der Gäste und nich auf das schnelle Geld.
