Very neat and tidy facility and the dining area was especially impressive.
The shower dead in our unit, room 2, was not up to standard and the shower floor is sloped, and with a slippery tile, in such a way as to be potentially dangerous for a fall.

Great communication prior to arriving. Safe, off street parking. Rinaldo was waiting for us to check in, and had helped us pre-order dinner. Dinner was delicious (thanks to their chef Shandre), and the room was warm, cosy and clean.
Comfortable rooms
Cold shower in the morning in winter....
Good help with check in and leaving in the morning from Manager
The rooms were comfortable. The staff were friendly, especially the manager. The food was delicious and presented beautifully.
Boutique Guesthouse Hanover is a must visit!!! Leandri is a Super Host. We feel at home from checking in to checking out. The rooms are spacious with good linen and towels. Super clean throughout the Guesthouse. Coffee and Tea options in your room for early mornings. The decor is to die for. Dinner was excellent!!! We really enjoyed our time and will definitely visit them again. Thank you Leandri for your hospitality!!!!
Love every second!!
We did not eat breakfast but dinner was delicious They were kind to cover our cars against the frost. They switched on the warm blankets and aircon before we arrived to make the room and bed nice and warm in this cold weather
Lovely, clean and fresh. Our double room was a little small but as it was only for q night it wasn’t a problem. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to help - we stayed in the middle of winter on one of the coldest nights - they put old linen on our cars windscreens so we didn’t have to deal with iced windscreens in the morning. A lovely fire in the dining room, delicious meal. Water brought to our rooms in case the pipes froze (they didn’t but really appreciate the forethought). All in all a good stay.
The price for the double room was a little on the high side.
The Staff
Lounge area cold, need to invest in modern functioning fireplaces
Our room was clean, warm with the aicon unit and had everything we would need for a simple one-night stopover. Ronaldo gave us a warm welcome and check-in.
The bathroom could get a makeover to fit in with the rest of the aesthetic, but this is a minor drawback and did not detract from our stay. The shower, basin and toilet all worked as expected.
Carina and her staff are amazing. Nothing is a problem. Everything is done with a smile. Thank you for a super stay.
das Essen , die Getränken und die Atmosphäre mit Kaminfeuer!
Such a wonderfully vibey guest house, it is like New Orleans meets Karoo-glamour. The decor was stunning, the welcome warm and attentive from the managers and the room lovely. We also visited the hotel in the dorpie and had a drink there. I highly recommend it. Our meals there were fabulous, I was so pleased we stayed there.
The bathroom door in our room should ideally be a barn door or a slider as it opens inwards into the room and is a bit of an inconvenience, but this is really the only improvement I'd suggest.
The dinner and breakfast were really very good! The room was as advertised, and we enjoyed our stay.
Nothing to complain about.
Very comfortable and cozy place to rest at. The food and service received was absolutely amazing

Safe, clean and conveniently located off the N1
Perfect stop over on route to cape town. Carina was amazing...very organized and attentive
Quaint and comfortable

Very comfortable bed.
Wifi iffy, mushrooms growing out of the washbasin pipes, toilet paper holder just hooked onto the clip, fridge not on, space between bathroom door and bed awkward.
Nothing
At first the lady gave us room that was infested with bugs and mosquitoes. The room was absolutely substandard as it looked like it had water seepage issues. The main door we had to force to close due to rain damage. She eventually moved us to another room and that was much better but the shower was continuously making a noise with water falling.
Not far from the highway and about midway from Cape Town to Johannesburg, it exemplifies the Karoo and its typical homes!
Nothing not to like. It is in good hands and efficient supervision!
Friendly staff, confortable room & great dinner
Close to church; bell tolls every hour & 15 minutes
Beautifully styled interior spaces. Attention to detail.

We ate supper on the property. Was definitely “moreish”! Cozy room and dining room.
The entrance was locked, rained at the time, however a message was sent that I did not see to indicate to go to a street behind. So little confusing. But food made up for that!
Carina was so welcoming after a long day of driving. The home is a little oasis in the village.
Carina, the manager, was wonderful. She is passionate about the guesthouse and the area. The dining room was charming and dinner was lovely.
The town itself is run down.
Great stay. Highly recommended
Perfect stop on a long journey, a quiet and quaint oasis to relax for a few hours, attentive staff, and delicious food.
Little Oasis in the Karoo with wonderful hospitality
Breakfast could be served earlier
The food was great, very tasty and well presented. The staff especially the hostess was very hospitable, friendly and accomodating. The facility had a very friendly atmosphere and the dining area was great.
It was a lovely property. Beautiful decor and facilities. Food was fantastic (dinner and breakfast).
The town itself seemed a little unkept
The property had a beautiful garden and pond seating area. The dinner was carefully prepared and delicious.
The property was set quite far into the town which is quite desolate and intimidating. It took some time for the gate to be opened as there is no intercom. We felt quite vulnerable waiting out in the quiet street.
Hidden gem
Friendly staff good food
Nothing all was goiod
The lamb was excellent
Its was minus 4 , the pipes where frozen . No hot water
Left too early!
The sewage running through the parking area. Most probably a Municipal matter.
It was so tastefully decorated, and we felt so at home and cared for. They really went out of their way to make us comfortable. The rooms were clean and spacious. And the gardens were exquisite.
Easy access from the N1. Serve dinner and breakfast . Comfortable beds and safe parking . A friendly and helpful manager .

The place was absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable. Exactly what we needed for a good night's rest along our journey home. The host, Carina was amazing, very welcoming and friendly and helpful. Accommodated us with Halaal food and cooked us a delicious meal. Highly recommend this a stop-over if you need peace and tranquility to rest when travelling long distances. Will definitely go back there sometime.
Everything was great. Excellent service. Easy to find and good meals
Lovely little oasis of calm. The manageress is so hospitable.
Stylish décor Gracious host Delicious food Sparkling clean
The stylish décor & warm welcome from the most gracious host, Carina. She went out of here way to accommodate us.
Location. Friendly staff. Welcomed us quite late.
The room was bit dirty behind the fridge and under the beds.
Enough rooms for a big group! Menu available if food needed after a long day’s drive!
Brilliant hospitality. Delicious and generous dinner and breakfast

Hidden gem in the Karoo. Clean, neat and quaint. Could park vehicle on site in secure off street parking. Room was very nice. All you need to break the journey while travelling up or down the N1.

Our experience at Hanover Boutique Guesthouse was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and friendliness. Carina’s hospitality truly stood out — she made us feel at home and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Theo provided excellent, attentive service with great professionalism. A special compliment to the chef for the incredible food — every meal was delicious and beautifully prepared. An unforgettable stay, and we highly recommend Hanover Boutique Guesthouse. Thank you to the entire team!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay and couldn’t have been happier with this accommodation. The host was incredibly welcoming, kind and attentive from the very beginning. Communication was excellent, and we received great local tips that made our stay even more special. The food was outstanding and clearly prepared with a lot of care and love. The accommodation itself is super charming, beautifully designed and full of thoughtful details. You can really feel how much heart has gone into creating this place. We felt comfortable and at home from the moment we arrived. Our dogs were very welcome, which meant a lot to us, and the overall atmosphere was warm, relaxed and genuinely hospitable. Everything about this stay was simply lovely. We would absolutely come back anytime and can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special, cozy and heart-felt stay.
We loved everything
