Location
Our room was comfortable but the fans from the kitchen were vibrating sounds into the room - staff kindly switched them off at night but they came on again early the next morning and woke us up- we also felt the bar smelt as if it could do with a deep clean - staff weren’t unfriendly but were not engaging
A really fantastic hotel , with all the lovely extras in the huge bedroom. Really welcoming & attentive staff, delicious food - and so reasonably priced . Can definitely recommend it 100 %.
All lovely ..no complaints!!

Location. Excellent restaurant.

Great historical location, nice accomodation, lovely Sunday Lunch!

Bon restaurant. Belle décoration de l’ensemble de cet établissement d’époque. Bien placé pour découvrir la région
It was very convenient for the event we were attending. The room was comfortable with a good TV signal (we stayed on a very wet weekend!). The restaurant was very good, specialising in steak. The steak we had was beautifully cooked. The breakfast too was very good. The hotel is in the village and so easy for a walkabout to see the castle & Dylan’s boathouse etc. There is a small car park & we were able to park there on the two nights we stayed.
We were allocated a room called St Ishmael. It was very comfy and had everything we wanted, but it only had one very small window so no daylight and fresh air.
Location and restaurant
A great place to stay with a good restaurant
Excellent location
No one at the hotel when the fire alarm went off at 3am
The hotel was beautifully decorated with plenty of lovely spaces for quiet, or mixing with people. The dining room Dexters was very dramatic which added to the ambiance.
Perhaps a little more attention to cleaning, in the bathroom of our room. A personal preference is that I like daylight but the room description at the point of booking, did not indicate that there was only one very small window.
Just everything the staff the place the location the food all was excellent

Accommodation excellent Food brilliant
A lovely spot very comfortable
The staff were very friendly. The food at Dexters restaurant was extremely high quality. The evening meal and breakfast were outstanding.
Our room was absolutely beautiful, everything you could need plus complimentary prosecco was a lovely touch. Staff were really helpful and the food in Dexter's was outstanding.

Staff were lovely and hotel is central
Room was well presented but dusty. Needed a deep clean, wall fan had visible clumps of dust.
historischer Ort mit geschmackvoll renoviertem Haus und Zimmer mit Atmosphäre, Badewanne (wie so oft in GB) etwas unpraktisch, dafür super Frühstück und wirklich nettes Personal, Parkplatz in Hotelnähe
Great location
Spacious and very clean, dog friendly
Location
Room was very dated and different from our friends despite paying the same amount.
Lovely old hotel in the centre of Laugharne, nearby shops and restaurants. Walks are great, Pendine beach a 10 minute drive away. Outside the hotel is a lovely seating area, especially on hot evenings. Breakfast is first class, evening meals also very good. There is free parking, which is a little tight, but we all managed to fit in. Beautiful part of Wales, we will be back
The electric fuse box in our room made a constant loud buzzing noise, the only way to stop it was to remove the card from the switch inside the door, turning the room electric off.
I liked nearly everything it's a wonderful place to stay
The bed was like sleeping on a board.
A lovely hotel with well equipped rooms in a great location.
Friendly, excellent customer service. Clean. Lovely decor. Restaurant exceptional food

Lovely staff, fabulous room

Really welcoming staff, the building is old and full of character and history. Great atmosphere in the bar and restaurant was outstanding both for the evening meals and breakfast.
An older quirky building so Bathroom and separate toilet were a bit tired, and noisy early in the morning due to being on the front above the door for deliveries.
The bedroom, bar and restaurant.
Nothing
The room was gorgeous. The staff were lovely. The food is incredible both breakfast and dinner which we enjoyed twice. It’s a lovely little place.
The only thing we could complain about there being no shower facility. For one reason or another we found the bath very difficult to use. Because of the protruding tap into the bath it’s difficult to get out of. In the Restaurant some of the staff could describe the food better for example saying what is on the cheeseboard. It’s a classy restaurant
Quirky & relaxing

Excellent location!! Lovely places to eat during the week in the local area.
I would have liked the water in the mini fridge to be replenished daily.
We loved our stay here and will definitely be back for another stay. A very well put together hotel and the restaurant was outstanding.
Nothing, it was perfect
Great location rooms and food
No Air Con and fridge did not work in room
Camera stupenda in stile perfettamente inglese. Staff gentilissimo e tutto molto pulito.
Non ci è stato possibile mangiare a cena nell’ hotel perché era pieno e non ci è stato nemmeno proposto al momento della prenotazione.
Extremely quiet, large comfortable room, lovely Gardens, nice staff, and food was excellent

Everything. Restaurant was great
All was good
The room was very spacious and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had breakfast the following morning. Both were first rate. The staff were very friendly.
The head room in some areas of the hotel is very low. This is not a criticism as the hotel is old and there is nothing that can be done about it. This is simply a warning for those above average height.
Warm welcome, bed was comfortable, room cool (even in a heatwave). Loved the roll top bath, and the coffee machine was a great touch. Meals in Dexters were AMAZING!
Nothing- would definitely recommend.
Enjoyed the whole hotel, very nicely decorated. Owner was very accommodating and allowed us into our room early as we were going out. Very much appreciated.
Good location and staff good.
Bed, and bath far to high i have osteoarthritis cant get in the bath to have a shower.
Very relaxing, loved the beer garden, and bed was really comfortable. Eating on the premises was lovely and would definitely recommend the restaurant.
Seats in the beer garden were placed right outside the room, it was very hot and needed the room windows open. The placing of the seats affected the privacy in the room.
Stunning breakfast , beautiful decor lovely vibe
Just disappointed as it was our anniversary if asked if there were any special treats / snacks left in room, had a confirmation that this would happen but it didn’t 🥲. There was very thick dust on the fabric blind with wax clearly visible and soap / shower containers were empty in the bathroom
Staff welcome location
Choosing the most appropriate room is important
The location and friendly
Nothing
Our room was so spacious and comfortable. It was very hot weather so the air con in the room was very welcome. The breakfast and evening meal we ate weee very good and value for money. We felt the hotel was reasonably priced and the staff were lovely
If we had the option we would have liked a different bathroom. The shower was over the bath which had exceptionally high sides for an older person to get in and out of.
Great value, amazing breakfast, quiet, plentiful amenities.
Pillows were quite hard, shampoo/body wash bottle was empty in the bathroom.
Our room was on the top floor unfortunately no lifts so we found the stairs a challenge in our 70 s. The room was comfortable but again shower over the bath so not ideal access for us. Loved the beer garden and the location was excellent. To be fair to the hotel we booked last minute and this was the only room available.
No lift in the hotel. Separate shower or just a shower instead of a bath would have suited us as we have limited mobility.
Excellent service and stunning food, fabulous location, can't wait to visit afain
Suitable for what we wanted. Lovely breakfast.
Single room I had upstairs was a bit warm. No shower gel in the bathroom. Container was empty.
Beautiful old building in lovely village - friendly staff and cozy surroundings. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Make sure to book dinner at Dexters and order the Chateaubriand! Best chips I’ve had in a long while too.
Nothing really to dislike - it’s an older building so maybe don’t expect everything to be “pristine” but it’s a lovely, comfortable atmosphere and substantial room with huge bed and anything you might need.
The food was lovely the breakfast was the best we’ve had fabulous
The lighting was poor in Restraunt and in room
Perfectly located
Limited parking on site, but it’s understandable
Unable to have evening meal in hotel as fully booked disappointed as a resident. No atmosphere in hotel bar only ones there!!
Breakfast
Room was dark as window was tiny, fridge didn't work, some lights didn't work
The location was great, car park was handy and staff were friendly! We also loved Dexter's the restaurant in the hotel. Would definitely stay again!
Staff, accommodation & food is excellent
The bed on this occasion was quite hard
Comfy rooms with lovely decor. Great location. Fabulous food.
Personally I don’t like a pod coffee machine.
Breakfast was very good, the restaurant is excellent. Laugharne is a beautiful place to wander around.
Some Staff could have been a little more attentive, but mostly very friendly.
Good bed, excellent room. Full of history.
Bar didn’t open until 1500 😩
Lovely spacious room with aircon (yipee!) in this delightfully quirky building. Dinner at Dexters was great, albeit a rather warm and stuffy room. Great breakfast and perfect location to explore beautiful Laugharne.
Excellent value in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the castle. Very comfortable rooms, free car park, delicious breakfast and a very nice, hot shower - what more can you ask for? Truly a 10/10 property in my opinion. Perfect for exploring Pembrokeshire, Brecon Beacons or staying local.
Nothing
Traditionelles Hotel mit viel Charme. Das Restaurant mit seiner exklusiven Fleischauswahl ist aussergewöhnlich gut.
Einiges ist schon in die Jahre gekommen
staff were all very friendly and helpful
The location of the hotel was very convenient for the town and surroundings of Laugharne. My room was in the outside annexe. Although there was a double bed, the room was quite small with sloping ceilings either side of the bed which made it appear even smaller. There was everything you needed in the room with plenty of plug sockets. There was a large TV, coffee machine, kettle and mini-fridge, iron and ironing board, air conditioning unit and a fan which were a bonus in the extreme heat. The duvet could have been swapped for a lighter summer one; the heavier, winter duvet was still on the bed which was too hot for the summer heat. Didn't eat at the hotel but heard the food was good
The en-suite shower cubicle was a little tired and could do with some attention. It was OK for an overnight stay but I thought it was a little expensive for what it was as there was no breakfast included. The air conditioning unit and fan were extremely noisy and ear plugs were required.
Loved the old world atmosphere. Staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. They accommodated our dogs so well.
Nothing ! Loved the decor !
The property itself , the building . The bathroom was superb , the bed comfortable as well as the pillows . Mirrors were positioned well and plenty of them . Restaurant was lovely , staff superb .

The decor in the hotel was nice
The roll-top bath with the shower over it was challenging to get into for a shower, as it's on a platform and high to get into. It's nearly up to my waist as I am short. So with anyone with accessibility issues should be aware its not really that accessible and there are no handles to assist getting in and out.
The room was well appointed and comfortable. The staff had been thoughtful enough to have put the air conditioning on before our arrival which was most welcome after a long hot journey. The food in Dexters Steak house was good quality and great value for money. The choice at breakfast was extensive and the produce was top quality.
We didn’t like the fact that breakfast was only served from 8-9.30. We stayed overnight on Saturday so thought this was a bit early for a Sunday morning. Also we thought a 10.30 check out was too early.
Lovely hotel & food very nice
Be careful on the downstairs toilet. Light came on after I had missed the step!
Loved the character of the hotel. The beer garden was a great location to sit and cool off after a hot day. The staff were extremely helpful and quality of food good.
Our bedroom was overlooking the back of the kitchen and bins. It was small and hot even though it had a fan in it. We followed the advice to keep windows open to get a draughty through but then had to contend with flies because of the room’s location.
Leuk en interessant dorp, erg goed restaurant in het Hotel Fijne parking
Je moet het restaurant in het Hotel tijdig reserveren
Small boutique hotel, very friendly staff and excellent food!
Wifi in our room was a little intermittent. A minor problem though to be honest. We were on top floor, so that may have been the reason. It was a 'working' trip for us, so wifi was required.
Perfect location, beautiful room, pet-friendly, amazing breakfast, and very friendly, helpful staff. I would highly recommend this hotel, and I hope to stay there again one day.
Good food and beer garden, with plenty of parking.
Our room was at the top of the building and the Wi-Fi was poor up there. While the room was good the fancy role top bath with hand held spray attachment looked great but wasn’t the best for showering.
Great location

Hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was of good quality and restaurant superb.
Nothing to dislike.
Lovely location and I had booked a birthday meal at Dexter’s which is attached to the Hotel so it was convenient for us to stay here. So glad we did we had a beautiful suite and an exceptional breakfast. Would highly recommend .
Nothing
Our room was lovely. The food - dinner and breakfast - were exceptional
Scenic location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, good restaurant food and tasty breakfast.
Noise (continual low hum) from kitchen , good to have a fan in the room but it was a very noisy one (as was the fridge).
Everything was as I would have wished for
It was all perfect
Warm welcome from very helpful staff at historic and characterful hotel. Great bar with good beer. Good restaurant. Location is unbeatable.
Nothing
The food was exceptional, staff were very friendly. Quirky historical hotel.
Welcoming and helpful staff, very nice room, wonderful food and atmosphere.
Really friendly staff and lovely facilities. Nice little garden perfect for a drink on a summers evening
Nothing
The staff were very friendly, and the room was brilliant, an old part of the building, very tastefully decorated with a king size bed, mini fridge, aircon, lovely bathroom and a quiet setting at the back of the hotel. There is a small car park at the back, but also parking on the street outside the hotel. the location is great for this picturesque small historic town, with a short walk to the castle, and scenic estuary. we didn't have an evening meal at the hotel, (though the menu looked great, it was a bit more expensive than we wanted to pay), instead we went to a sister establishment of the hotels, the Ty-Glo for Pizza and cocktails, which is situated on a cobbled street leading to the castle.
Beautiful hotel in a lovely quiet village, the breakfast was delicious and on a boiling hot day, the room was blissfully cool and air-conditioned. The team were so welcoming, and upgrading the room. Loved it here
Very friendly staff. A Hotel full of character. Exceptional breakfast. Location was ideal.
Electrical equipment and sockets in room were dated.
The entire experience was awesome. Attentive staff that communicated well. The hotel is a gem. The pub, lovely. The dining experience at Dexter's, amazing.
That I had only booked one might.
Food was excellent, and the rooms had A/C which was lovely in the heatwave.
Nothing
Centrally located. Very friendly staff and great Hotel. Dinner is Dexters was superb and have a thoroughly great time. Staff were accommodating when re-locating a room for my parents who have reduced mobility. Breakfast was great.
Heating in rooms a little excessive, but not a great issue.
Everything. Pleasant staff, comfortable rooms, good food. The addition of fans in the rooms since our last visit was a real plus on a warm night.
Nothing we will be back again!
all went well steak amazing breakfast amazing
na
Lovely staff, very comfortable room, brilliant dinner
Decor and overall vibe were great. Excellent location, easy parking, delicious food. Senior staff were excellent and very hard working
No decaf coffee pods for Nespresso machine, only Nescafé sachets. Light switches are in awkward places if you've left lights on when getting in to bed.

Great place to stay in Dylan Thomas country. Lots of character, great room, good parking out the back, good bar and of course a great restaurant. Couldn’t fault.
