Reviewed Aug 2, 2026We stayed in the Family Apartment, and it was perfect for our group of friends. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The beds were excellent, and the electric blankets made the room warm and cozy during the cold winter night. We also loved having a private bathroom, a microwave, and a cooktop, which made our stay very convenient. The location is fantastic—Lake Taupō is just across the road, so it’s easy to enjoy the beautiful lake views and sunset. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and slept very well.

Reviewed Mar 15, 2026Wir hatten mit drei Erwachsenen eine Deluxe Family Cabin für nur eine Nacht. Dort ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Elektro-Bratpfanne war ein Erlebnis, das gut funktioniert hat :) Heizung und Wärmedecke haben wir nicht gebraucht, aber gut zu wissen, dass es sie gibt. Die Lage am See ist toll. Kurzer Weg zur Toilette.
Die Straße ist relativ stark befahren, was in der Cabin kein so großes Problem ist, in einem Zelt vielleicht schon.

The kitchen was not as well equipped as in some other similar places we stayed at in New Zealand. The campsite is very close to the highway with quite active traffic, but it wasn’t as disturbing for sleep as it initially seemed.

Facilities are a little old and run down. The campground is on both sides of a very busy road so it is a bit loud as trucks go past but earplugs are provided.

It felt far away from any shops or amenities especially being by myself with 2 little kids so close to a big dark road at night.
