Great location , close to downtown restaurants. Nice room. The swimming pool was good on the 19th floor, plenty of pool towels. A great feature is the bar upstairs adjacent to the pool with fantastic views. Requested a late checkout & agreed. Front desk staff very good , chatty & pleasant.

The breakfast service was slow, took ages for the food to come & missing some items. Which I pointed out but then provided. The selection not as good as other Westins. Our server disappeared for a while, presumed on a break. Had to request coffee top ups a few times with out being offered. Our room was at the end of the floor. As we entered spotted a swimsuit outside the sealed window & some rubbish. Must have been dropped from a balcony or the rooftop pool. Cleaning staff should have noticed.

I just recently stayed here with my family and friends for 3 nights. We had an amazing experience, starting right with the valet and check in with a special shoutout to Maria Andersen for making us feel welcome and gave us amazing treatment! Valet easily took our rental car, we got upgraded rooms and goodies sent up to our room after arrival! The rooftop pool was beautiful and we loved spending time there at night especially during sunset, and the food at breakfast was delicious with amazing service! The atmosphere was very luxurious, clean, and kind! The noise level was extremely low and we never got disturbed in our room or at night. The value of the room matched the amenities and prices, and this is the first hotel we will be booking when staying in Sarasota again! The location and perfect and has a perfect walk to downtown which we always walked to in the morning for pilates and coffee! 10/10 recommend!!

I complain with Gloria at the front desk about finding hair on the shower upon arrival and she asked for a picture, I said I dont have a picture and she literally asked ok so what are you looking for? And I was like mmmm… complain??? Omg! Nothing screams more DIRTY like finding hair in the shower, not to mention I also found on the bed.

Lovely room, beautiful fitness facility, terrific onsite restaurant, and awesome roofdeck with exceptional poolside/umbrella service courtesy of Justin! The onsite Starbucks could use some love, and the spa prices are bananas. All around, though, a terrific place to stay!

Justin at the rooftop pool was on top of everything. Kept us updated on weather changes and made sure we had everything we could want or need.

We went up to Sarasota for the weekend fro my wife's birthday. Maria Anderser checked us in. What a terrific first impression she was delightful and not only had our room ready but she gave us an upgrade to a better view. She alos sent up a bottle of wine for my wife's birthday. This is why I have been loyal to Marriott for 25 years. People like Maria are the ones who keep me coming back. Thanks to her and the staff that have made the trip terrific so far.

The hotel is a beauty. Pristine, amazing views, ultra comfortable rooms, fantastic dining and the best rooftop bar and pool in town. But the stay was immensely elevated due to the kind and professional services of Maria who welcomed us so thoroughly and genuinely and Tapri who was our cheerful and awesome server for breakfast. From the valets, to check-in and check out and to all of the staff we encountered we were genuinely welcomed and looked after. They were all attentive and asking if our stay was good and asking if they could do anything else for us. The personal service of the hotel cannot be beat anywhere. Having managed many staff myself what this demonstrates is that a great investment is made in training for staff, a highly skilled management team is in place and that a positive work environment is sustained long term where all employees feel recognized and valued and support on another and feel part of a family. This is very rare these days and I have traveled a lot. I give an A plus for facilities, service and value!

Every staff member from the parking valet, to check-in, to restaurant service, to poolside service was absolutely top notch! What I loved most was how happy the staff were and how well trained in hospitality they were. Always trying to improve our experience and we're all genuinely interested in how we were and how they could make it better. Rooms fully stocked with any amenities we could need, beds were luxurious, robes, wonderful view from our balcony on 17th floor overlooking the city with a little view of the bay. Loved our stay and the hotel surely made the stay even more memorable. Great location! Great hotel management which is visible through the pristine presentation and the smiles on staff faces!! A++!

Unfortunately, my experience at the Westin was very disappointing. From the moment we arrived, there was only one person working at the front desk, resulting in a long wait just to check in. The biggest issue, however, was the valet service. We requested our vehicle and were told by Crystal that it would be about a five-minute wait. After waiting 30 minutes, we went back to ask for an update and were told the car was “on the way.” That wasn’t true. It became apparent that our keys had been misplaced, and they were still searching for them. In total, we waited approximately one hour to get our car back. Because of this delay, we missed our dinner reservation and were charged a cancellation fee. What made the situation even more frustrating was Crystal’s attitude and lack of communication. Each time we asked for an update, we received nothing more than a brief “it’s on the way,” even though that was clearly not the case. There was no explanation, no acknowledgment that our keys had been misplaced, and not even a simple apology for the inconvenience. A sincere apology and honest communication would have gone a long way. For a hotel that markets itself as a luxury property, I expected much better organization, customer service, and accountability. This experience put a significant damper on our stay, and I hope improvements are made to both staffing and the valet operation so future guests don’t experience the same frustration.

When it came time to plan our anniversary, I told my wife there was only one place I wanted to take her, and I’m happy to say that The Westin Sarasota exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as I had remembered—and somehow even better. Our room was beautiful, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the food and overall atmosphere made for a perfect getaway. The marina view was simply picture-perfect, and seeing my wife’s reaction as she experienced it all for the first time made the trip even more special. Air handler was loud in the room. Shower didn't work and the lamp shade looked like a cat scratched it up. Our room wasn't ready at 5:00 so they put us in another. It wasn't worth 600.00 a night. I will not go back. Also the TV didn't work properly.

We came to this hotel to celebrate our engagement and every member of the staff was so kind, and congratulatory. Miguel at the front desk, made our day so special and memorable. He was able to upgrade our room, and send up a special gift with a personalized card which we will always be able to remember this special day by. Location is amazing and close to great restaurants and bars and I Would definitely recommend staying here 5/5.

My husband and I stayed at the Westin for our wedding night. The hotel is beautiful, and the service of Mason and Maria were top tier. Upon checking in, they sent a bottle of wine and desserts in our room to help celebrate our special day. The rooftop pool is great. The food at the restaurant inside the hotel was really good too! We were both pleasantly surprised.

Spa was a disappointment. In order to get a male massage therapist to get to correct pressure, he added an additional $35.!!!!

We had a wonderful room with a view, Mason sent a birthday surprise for my mom and the rooftop at sunset was spectacular.

We travel to the Westin Sarasota every summer because it’s awesome! This year I left a very expensive Bluetooth speaker at the pool and contacted the lost and found department and Carlos in the security department had my speaker. We stayed the for weekend at the Westin Sarasota with our 2 teenagers , It was AN incredible HOTEL!! Everything was Absolutely Great, from the Valet to the Roof top bar/pool area. The Hotel is very modern,and clean. The Hotel Staff were very friendly and helpful, we called the front desk for extra bath towels, and they were there within minutes. Excellent service, and our favorite amenity that we used a lot was the free shuttle! The Shuttle takes you to the beach or to Main Street, wherever you needed to go! Another fabulous trip to Sarasota! The Westin has been my go to Hotel for the past 9 years! I would never consider staying anyplace else. Maria Andersen (Front Office Supervisor) has been a friendly face at the front desk for all those years. I consider her a friend. Maria always goes over and above to make my "staycation" special. A welcome bottle of wine and snacks were there upon my arrival as well as a special handwritten note from her. I simply feel like the most special guest from the minute I arrive until the minute I sadly have to leave. The Westin Hotel is first rate and all the staff make you feel so welcomed. I cannot wait to return several times this summer.

I was referred to the Westin by my sister and I was expecting a great experience. But unfortunately, for the price I paid, this was not worth it. To start off I scheduled a couples massage for my husband's birthday and requested we be in the same room. When they called us, we were separated and I had mentioned this and apparently nobody knew what was going on. I had Cheryl as a massage therapist. She was very sweet but seemed frazzled. To start off she was running around my room too much, she kept pulling and tugging on the sheets jolting me out of the zen, it took her awhile to section off each area, she kept asking me if the leg pillow was where it needed to be, she used way to much oil to the point I felt like I was dripping in oil and unfortunately, I ask for medium pressure and just got a rub down with oil. She also couldn't remember me when trying to find me to bring me my champagne which was a little disappointing. My massage price was more than my husband's and I will not be coming back and with my experience I can't recommend this to anyone else.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at The Westin Sarasota while celebrating my birthday. The location is excellent. The complimentary shuttle to St. Armands Circle and Lido Beach is another great perk. Our check in experience was exceptional. We were assisted by two wonderful front‑desk team members, Maria and Valeria, whose professionalism, warmth, and kindness made a real difference. Maria even surprised me with a thoughtful birthday gesture that meant so much. I also want to recognize Angela, who helped me by phone before our arrival and greeted me with the same kindness when I later called for the shuttle. Look out for additional charges, ended up paying an extra 70 dollars a night in taxes. Also valet parking (which is the only option) is an additional 50 dollars a day. When checking in the receptionist (small lady in glasses) was extremely rude and abrupt and wasn’t much help at all. The valet parking on Sunday morning when checking out was chaos. It took 25 mins to get our car!! Nice hotel, badly run.

Recent weeklong stay. The staff stood out. They made me feel like a VIP. The room was well maintained the remarkable job cleaning Everyday. My bed and pillows were very good to sleep on. I really loved the rooftop bar and thought the atmosphere was fantastic. The bartenders were great impersonal, and even took the time to offer me a quick dance lesson and that energy from staff make the experience I had genuinely memorable. The shuttle service was excellent and is of a great value. I really want to extend a sincere thanks to Carlos and the security. I accidentally left personal items there and Carlos took the time to contact me even when he really didn’t have to. He put my mind at ease and I couldn’t be more grateful. The hotel is not just a beautiful property, but it’s an experience defined by exceptional people and attention to detail. I was left impressed and I would love to return in the future. We came to the Westin to celebrate my son’s 9th birthday! The front staff, specifically, Marcia was extremely kind and attentive. She wanted to make sure we had enough space (family of 5). She took me up to the room they had for us and it was nice and we could have all fit however, she said she wanted to see if they had something that could fit us more comfortably. While we waited we went to the roof top pool and enjoyed the beautiful view and sunshine. At dinner, we got a call from Valencia (who also was warm, welcoming and friendly) explaining that our other room was ready. We picked up the keys and were blown away to see we had been given the Presidential Suite! This kind gesture truly touched the heart of our family in a way we will never forget. One of the unexpected highlights of our entire stay was breakfast. The food was exceptional — beautifully prepared, fresh, and delicious every single day. But what truly elevated it was the staff. Over 8 days, the breakfast team became familiar, friendly faces who greeted us warmly each morning and made us feel like regulars rather than guests. That kind of genuine hospitality is hard to find and impossible to forget. Starting each day that way set a wonderful tone for everything that followed. The amenities kept us happily occupied throughout our stay — the pool was a daily retreat, the fitness center was well-equipped, and the hotel’s location put us within easy reach of downtown Sarasota’s vibrant restaurant scene, beautiful waterfront, and world-class arts community. Plus they have a free shuttle that takes you to Lido beach and St. Armand circle. For a milestone trip like ours, you want everything to be right. The Westin Sarasota delivered on every level — from Marcia and Maria at the front desk to the wonderful breakfast team, the people here are what make this place truly special. We will definitely be back in the fall.

My recent stay at The Westin in Sarasota, celebrating my husband's and my birthdays and our anniversary, was perfect in every way! A great hotel stay is not just about the room and the view - although these were both excellent. A truly memorable stay hinges on the people - and that is where The Westin really outshines others. From the first moment at the front desk, Marcia and Maria provided that special combination of professionalism, warmth, and personal service that makes all the difference at a top-flight hotel. The quality of service that Marcia and Maria set carried through to everyone we interacted with, from Angela on phone reception, to the servers at the restaurant and bars (especially the attentive and friendly breakfast staff including Gina and Richard), the housekeepers, and the valets as well. Everyone was courteous, helpful, and genuinely friendly, which made our visit a joy each day. The location is convenient to everything, the accommodations were modern and comfortable, with the Heavenly Bed a delight, and the view from our room was stunning. The rooftop pool and bar were a sophisticated yet relaxed setting to unwind, take an afternoon dip, or enjoy a nightcap while watching the sunset. The quality of the food and drinks was outstanding and we especially looked forward to our delicious breakfast each morning. We had such a wonderful time that we didn't want to leave and we are already planning our next visit there! See you soon!

Love the location and the breakfast is excellent.

Our mattress sloped toward the headboard so we both woke up with very sore backs. 

We had a fantastic time at the Westin Sarasota. My wife and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary and could not have asked for a better place. The value was good particularly the weekend before Memorial Day but the standout was Ms Ann Betlen who went out of her way to make sure that our anniversary weekend was fantastic. Thank you so much Ann and Westin Sarasota for a great weekend!

Had a wonderful stay at the Westin, this is our go-to place for a family vacation and Maria Andersen always makes sure the experience is flawless. Hospitality is consistent throughout and the location is perfect, a short 10min walk to downtown and short drive to Lido beach. We’ll be back again!

We had a wonderful stay at The Westin Sarasota and would definitely return. The hotel is beautifully maintained and our room was spotless from the moment we arrived. Everything felt fresh, modern, and impeccably clean throughout our stay. What truly set this property apart was the staff. From the moment we checked in, the team was competent, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. Special shout-out to Carlos Irimia, Ligia Coleman, and Michael Mottinger — each of them went above and beyond. Most importantly, when I accidentally left a valuable item behind in the room after checkout, these team members personally took charge, located it quickly, and made sure it was safely returned to me. Their honesty, professionalism, and helpfulness in a situation that could have been very stressful meant the world to me. They truly came through in a big way and turned what could have been a major disappointment into a shining example of excellent service. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with a staff that actually cares, I highly recommend The Westin Sarasota. Thank you again to Carlos, Ligia, Michael, and the entire team!

The food we ordered from room service could have been better cooked. The sweet potatoes were still hard and a bit undercooked and it was to pricey for the amount of food provided.

The location was excellent and having the shuttle to take you everywhere we needed. The driver was so helpful and friendly. Maria at the front desk was so welcoming and so generous of her time. The breakfast was excellent and the pool deck was so beautiful. A really great experience all around.

The valet only parking option was very expensive for an already pricey hotel room. It was not convenient to have to have your car brought up every time you wanted to use it.

Your room charge on the bill was totally incomprehensible and did not represent the expected charge. After my query the bill was adjusted to the proper amount. Being in the hotel business for many years, and after a number of discussions with one of your supervisors, I strongly urge you to than correct your system to one that is comprehensible to your customers. Other than that our stay was very nice and the staff and facilities were 1st Rate.

A lovely hotel, the staff was great, location great.

I signed up for a partial view room and based upon the pictures I thought i was getting a partial view of the ocean. What i did get was an interior view of the circular driveway and valet parking area. I called the front desk to ask and they said that’s what I signed up for. The description was very misleading. It didn’t end up mattering too much because i was at wedding events most of the time, but given I paid almost $1,400 for three nights i was disappointed.

We went for a quick getaway to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday and everything was perfect! Maria Andersen at the front desk was amazing! She was so welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure he had a special stay; she was able to upgrade us to a bayfront view and even had macarons and champagne waiting for us in the room! Would definitely stay here again when we’re in Sarasota next! Oh, and the beds were very comfortable!

Breakfast was cold

We arrived NYE to a packed hotel. Everyone working the hotel seemed extremely busy. Notwithstanding all of the busy pre-new years happenings, the staff was extremely courteous and professional. In particular, Marcia and Maria at the front desk were the best. Getting into our room was slightly delayed, but we were well taken care of. We were given a very nice room on a high floor from where we were able to see the fireworks. Every time we walked past the front desk during our short stay, both Marcia and Maria greeted us with a wave hello and nice smile. The staff at the restaurant was also excellent. We were in a rush to catch our flight and they were able to get us fed and on our way with time to spare. I would definitely come back. The service alone made this stay special.

Another wonderful stay at the Westin - a night 'get away' that we have done in the past, was time for it again. Maria was amazing as she checked on us and are arrival to make sure our requested early checkin was available. Even know it was busy, Maria kept an eye on our arrival and as we checked in, the room was just finished being ready. As an Top Bonvoy Member I get treated well all over the world - but NOTHING comes close to the attention we get at the Westin. Everyone is always good to us as we get away, even for one night close to home. Maria always makes it extra special as a returning guest to the point that she even remembered our favorite wine and it was waiting for us. Always a warm feeling to be remembered and welcomed like it was our second home - Maria and the Westin staff always makes us feel that way.
