Clean tidy well presented had everything you need for a short stay or along stay . Nice little motel not far from town. Peaceful setting .

Ideally located for our need. Some road and train noise but that was to be expected given its location. Good value for money. Beautiful rural outlook from back window.

The owner was so accommodating, she was able to organise a room swap to have us on the ground floor as my dad uses a walker. Views were amazing. Owner had already heated the room for us before we arrived. Owner was ready to introduce herself and make sure we were comfortable. Truly a great welcoming

You are by the main highway but that is fine, its not like Auckland and the view from your back window is rural and extremely calm

We were travelling in winter and really appreciated the room being pre-warmed for us, and tv left on so we could walk into a homey environment. Check in was smooth and friendly.

It is off the main highway so travel with ear plugs if you are sensitive to road noise.

The beds were old and had sagging, the the Lennon was stained and looked dirty the shower pressure was dribbling to practically nothing and the noise from the road was just really bad when big trucks went past that shook the whole place and was really loud

We were late check in/early check out and they made it easy for us, communicated well and had the heating on for our arrival

Simple accomodation- not flashy if that’s what you are into.

Lady in charge wasn't friendly at all and had the personality of a fence post. Perhaps hospitality wasn't the best career choice 😐

Very cosy and clean. Good bathroom facilities. Very handy location for where I needed to be. Hostess even came in to close curtains and turn on heater knowing I would be late back. Was much appreciated .

It is on Main Highway but traffic did not bother us. Our Unit definitely in need of an update.

The location was amazing, room's are very warm and comfortable, shower's beautiful and hot great pressure 2nd time staying this year as was in taumarunui for a wedding and a 30th, we are from Hamilton the lady that runs the motel is always friendly welcoming and at our service for what ever we required which makes our trip so enjoyable thank you, see u soon as we will be staying a 3rd time for a fairwell waiting on dates.

We've stayed there several times in the past and the price has remained affordable. The proprietars know us well and are always very accommodating. The location is in close proximity to our destination.

Everything was good from booking in to leaving was exhausted waa getting late last minute book in cheap price Very clean warm relaxing room with a Stunning country view in the morning, Highly recommended, Def will stay again next time im back from Christchurch heading up to see Whanau..

Only 25 minutes from Ongahue and beginning of the Timber Trail. Warm & comfortable and the vehicles were right by the door & under covered

location is by a busy rd and maintrunck train line so there was traffic noise but not a problem Suggest management t look at thermostat setting on hot water cylinder as it was quite hot They may be able to make savings here

Hairdryer absent, but possibly due to people stealing them in the past. Not a biggie.

Friendly lady at the reception. Covered parking spot right at your room door. Lot of space. We stayed 2 nights. We wanted something close to the road while on a road-trip. So we did get what we paid for.

A bit outdated (but everything worked), noise from the road (to be expected). Middle of nowhere. That’s being said, it does look like the pictures so no big surprise here.

The manager ruins what could be an acceptable place to stay. She is completely unprofessional. After abusing us for taking 4 plates off site, which I had offered to pay for, she began to systematically start complaining about nonsensical things. She also discussed us with other contractors on site. Her behaviour became so belligerent, we left a day early, (paid for), and she still continued to complain with rude texts. We have spoken to locals who advised us she has a terrible reputation. We will not be back..

If you're looking for a quiet place to rest this is not the spot to be, loud traffic and trains, and vibration from the road. Very noisy

Lovely big two bedroom upstairs unit with a wonderful rural outlook. Full kitchen and large living room with two couches. Full dining table. Great shower. Older style decor but very comfortable.

The motel is very close to the highway and the whole unit shook whenever a truck went passed - felt like an earthquake starting!!

Confortable , belle vue sur la campagne, mais j’ai trouvé une souris et ses crottes dans le lit double et le logement en bord de route n’est pas sonorisé, on entend train camion voiture qui circulent beaucoup , et le sol et les murs vibrent au passage d’un camion

Ausstattung und Preis waren sehr zufriedenstellend.

Auf den lauten Straßenverkehr sollte man sich einstellen. Am späten Abend lässt dieser nach.

My daughter and family had a sudden family funeral to attend in Taumaranui so I booked this for them to help them out

When they got to Taumaranui they found they were expected to stay on the Marae I let the lady at the Mahoe Motel k ow that they would not be coming and asked for a refund She replied No Refunds

the owner she was loverly bed was made dishes put away even us staying 2 nights beds are cosey shower and water pressure great along with 2 bedrooms an a bed in the lounge to relax in watching tv things are clean were going to book again
