City Express by Marriott Ciudad De México La Raza

Everything is close

I will not recommend this hotel to anybody especially to my family members. Water stays in the shower floor making it slippery to the next person. The towels are old and some of them have holes. There was no hand towel in the set of towels. I found hair in my food and when I brought it to the attention of the cook it seems they did not care. The sink stopper is broken

My experience was unique all the staff was asome. The property was clean all thw time. Rooms very clean. I didn't like the pillows, they are old and not confortable. Also all.thw towels are old also and the towls are fraying.

Great staff and very friendly

It was a group of kids and they make a lot of noice at night.

The hotel is clean, nice, breakfast is good 👍. There’s mall and HSBC bank connected. Very convenient

Friendly Staff. If you need a taxi, don’t get the hotel services is 5 times more expensive than a uber or taxi. BART (metro) station is 10 mins walking distance.

friendly employees，clean environment

.

Acceso por calle lateral dificulta tomar taxi o uber.

Clean hotel

Muy ruidoso, no se puede dormir porque toda la noche hay gente corriendo hablando y tocando puertas

Very affordable. Nice breakfast. A little far (because of traffic) to city center.

Very nice experience The greeters at the door street level very polite and attentive Much warmer than the registration desk The elevator from the street level had a different not so pleasant smell

Very nice and clean

Excelente. Hotel buen ubicación y las personas muy amables

Location very convenient, rooms are clean and nice. Overall, a good place to stay.

Good breakfast. Convenient location. Didn't like the small pillows, no safety box in the room.

Buen servicio

Muy buen servicio

Very satisfied

Buen desayuno. Instalaciones agradables

Very clean and quiet. Staff very friendly.

Overall satisfied. Second time booking it when im visiting Mexico City. Metro and bus stations are nearby that you can walk. And since they are built next to the shopping center. You really don't have to get out of the building to grab a bite or watch a movie. Lastly since the parking is underground, im very comfortable parking my vehicle since its secured.

La puerta de entrada estaba cerrada cuando llegué del aeropuerto a las 2:00 a.m. La televisión de mi cuarto no funcionó.

Second time here in 7 months and it’s the best. Gym, Starbucks, other stores in the Plaza next door exit the sliding glass doors take 2 steps and your inside the Plaza. Safe area.

No hot water and bad smell

The customer service excellent , but the bathroom when you take a shower the water comes out, the shower curtain to small, they don’t have display for the soap inside the shower and I select to pay at the hotel and they charge to my credit card before I arrive.

The rooms are not sound proof at all like they mentioned.Lots of noise from the street outside. Tai who checked me in was great and Arturo was excellent. The night auditor did not know answers I asked.

Only one bath towel in a room for two people. Requested an additional twice to front desk personal, never got it. Had to use a hand towel.

The area around the property very dangerous it's the ghetto sun down you better be inside the hotel room under your bed.

I went to Mexico last week for 3 nights I stayed on this Hotel, for what I was looking for it was good, I wanted something cheap with breakfast included, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was okay, the Hotel was really clean and the staff was amazing, the only thing was the location, is in a neighborhood that is not for tourists, and is a lots of traffic, I will definitely go to another Express more close to the tourist city side next time, to avoid the traffic and to walk around. But if you don’t mind that is a really good Hotel, is inside a nice plaza and you get to rest good.

I am very sensitive of the smells and I get asthma attacks with cleaning products. My room was just cleaned and the chemicals were so strong to smell so I requested to get another room and the person at front desk moved me to another room. That room was better cleaned but the smell was less.

Access is good. We took a taxi from the bus terminal in the north. It's about 10 minutes. When we checked in, male staff Mr.Efrian and female staff Ms. Yaz helped us. We don't speak Spanish, but they serve us in English and the service is very good and kind! The room was very clean and well cleaned. The water pressure in the shower is good too. Good to see you Gracias Efrian♡

The hotel serves in average for the category The location is the worse thing

I like that is next to a shopping center

Good hotel, quite. Next to a small plaza with places to eat. Poor breakfast. There’re four of us and when asked to give more than 1 key a personnel refused providing with extra saying they’re short on keys.

Very clean, modern, very friendly staff,

The property is attached to a mall with 4 restaurants, Starbucks, a gym and a convenient store. The staff are all friendly and approachable.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Safe and convenient hotel

Clean safe small There was construction during the day (drilling and hammering that I didn’t like

Busy area of the city, no for long stays

It was a great stay as always. I used it for business because they are very supportive.

Overall not bad but checkin and checkout did take significantly longer than all other hotels. Also there is a hospital nearby, so there were some traffic in the morning. Do factor those in if have plans early morning.

Nice clean hotel and next to shopping center.

This property has a terrible customer service they do not great there guest, the room was dirty hair on floor and bathroom had Bio from previous guest, sheets were not changed. When I spoke to the front desk they were given attitude, they gave me a second room and it was the same room was dirty and not sanitize, really bad service never staying in this hotel.

Nice location and clean. The staff is nice and helpful. Staying in City Express again in Morelia. Will stay again.

Great place to stay, very clean, good breakfast, friendly staff.

Not the perfect scenario but my flight landed into Mexico City at 1.20 am. I arrived at my original hotel that was having technical issues their PMS system was down so they could not check people in or out. They recommended this hotel for being safe and nice rooms. I arrived at the hotel and the doorman/bellman was perfect. But upon trying to check in the night auditor Juan would not allow me to check-in for a reservation I just made online 5 minutes before I approached the front desk so I could check-in. He advised to come back at 3pm. There was no solution provided to offer to check me in a day early. No offer of checking in early is an additional fee. No option of lets change your reservation the third party. He was kind of rude about it. I also had to ask for my passport back once he refused check-in. Service is obviously questionable in the overnight staff. Juan did not apologize or offer to call a taxi after he refused service. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone that is paying for their room. And then did not offer a refund or any compensation.

Nice

Excellent location within a shopping mall. Some of the best places to eat are within walking distance (Sanborn's, Bisquets de Obregon, wings, starbucks, etc.) Hotel very clean, secure, excellent service. Breakfast was super complete! Not just fruit and bread. And very economic.

Friendly staff

Amazing

La Raza ...VERY clean and comfortable. AC excellent. Reception assisted my COVID 19 test arranges and hard copy of results. Adjacent mall small but clean. Breakfast are satisfactory . One negative item...reception and staff ...no english. I will consider another stay.

Midway between MEX aeropuerto and Norte bus terminal. I have stayed here many times.

I liked the attention mainly from Ms. Amsi at the reception from the welcome and at the checkout, her kindness and treatment that she gave to my friends and I who stayed, the very rich breakfasts and the ladies who make it very helpful, thanks to all of them, in general everything the staff

just an overnight trip out of the downtown so we could get to the bus station del norte quick. Good beers and wings at "Alitas" next door in the mini mall. Used Uber from the airport, quick and easy.

Good and convenient location, fairly close tonthe airport

The hotel is located in a shopping center with starbucks, gym, and some nuce clothing stores. Breakfast is included in the price and it was very good. The room was very clean and zero noise from the street which was a big plus. Only down side id that parking cost $60 pesos a day

Great location in the heart of Historic center.

The hotel is clean and offers a good complimentary breakfast. The staff are welcoming, but sometimes not trustworthy. They might tell you one thing if you ask, but then don't deliver when the time comes. This seems to be the trend in this hotel. The shuttle service is good, if you manage to actually get it. The vehicle may be on service one day, and the next one fully booked. There is a supermarket and a pharmacy right around the corner. Avoid overpaying in the hotel's vending machine.

excellent service

Clean and new

The property is located next to a shopping center that's a big plus.

We're just passing through CDMX and have stayed here several times. We will stay here again. City Express La Raza is situated conveniently between the bus station and airport. Scope out our past reviews...

Clean, nice, good security, affordable, it’s my fourth time in this hotel and deff I’ll be back.

Great place, but they make you fill a form for nothing (covid). Breakfast supposed to be for 4 and they gave me for 3 and 30 min later than expected, but overall clean and nice people. Receptionist was wonderful.

The hotel was under construction, not open to the public, I was placed in a pickle, since no prior notification was given.

The convenience of being walking distance to the hospital and restaurants.

De maravilla me encanto todo a excepción de la comida el desayuno no tiene sabor les falta variedades pero todo lo demas muy bien.

Very convenient for us. Mall and transportation close. Clean and security in side.

Great location walking distance to subway. Next door to a mall. Across the street from metro bus. Super friendly and helpful staff.

Nuy mal funcionamento de aire acondicionado, pedí cambio de habitación y al final en el 4to cambio de habitación si funcionó el aire pero fue muy tardado e incómodo, desayuno terrible.

First they couldn’t find my reservation n gentleman wasn’t trying to helpme I had to get in touch with you guys nyself to get help . It was very late at night after an hour n half you guys were able to send an email to hotel n then they gave me wrong room.

I love the cleanliness, staff and safe placement of the hotel. However it's not nearby any tourist sights and major traffic in the area made it difficult to get around.

Everyone was very nice. And the place was clean. Coles distance to all the attraction. Rooms were very clean

I didn’t like the area

Good service and price.

Enjoyed the breakfast very much!! Lovely staff! Lovely atmosphere.

Cl ean, close to restaurants Helpful staffs but need to communicate English.

Cleanliness, modern amenities. Breakfast, in modern shopping center , staff friendliness . Very disorganized with check in- out Still using paper. I extended an extra day through Expedia. I went to the desk, told them and they said everything was okay. That night a gut knocked on the door around 10pm and said I didn't pay. Contacted Expedia. They said the payment went through Things were sorted out the next morning, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place

Excellent customer service one of the days breakfast was very slow and appeared short staffed they always needed creamer for coffee throughout the day when asked if I could have some they said they had ran out

I don’t like it. Can not solve the problems by English

This is a very nice hotel! The transportation service they offer is very convenient. Breakfast was good and the staff is very courteous and professional. Excellent location. There are several restaurants, at a walking distance. There is also a pharmacy and grocery store. Overall it was a nice stay. The room is not very fancy but it has everything you need. There is no coffeemaker in the room, but they have a coffee machine and microwave on the first floor for you to use. I did not use the gym, but they have a treadmill, bike and elliptical. I recommend it!

Great place location clean love it and small shopping center and restaurants

Great stay!!

Great place and affordable. Would definitely recommend

Being at the new mall is great during day or night, caution should be used if exploring the surrounding area late at night.

Neighborhood is very dirry and unsafe, dangeeous at night. Close to a main hospital, you can hear all the traffic noisea from the street

It was attached to a mall and right across the metro, so it was convenient to get around for cheap. Being attached to a mall meant there was lots of noise if you got a room that faced the mall. It was hard to sleep until I got a room change.

The person of the front desk charged me for an extra night.

Excellent place to stay in Mexico City love the shopping center next door.

OK hotel, nothing special. Staff nice but not everyone is able to understand simple English. Difficult when you ask for assistance or direction . Our room had a view of a wall, not even a clean, nice wall there was litter outside our window. I would still recommend it because I don't know the other hotels. At least I know what to expect here. I hope they have a plan to beautify the wall .

free computer use in lobby, free breakfast, walking distance to La Raza metro, courtesy vehicle gave free ride , room nice, bed comfortable

The property had a lot of security measures that mase you feel safe. It was also very clean and served a good breakfast!

the hotel does not have a swimming pool but it does have a shopping area within and also a movie theater, and offers several restaurants as well.

Love this hotel, clean brand new, friendly staff. Close to the subway LA RAZA, 5 minutes walking. Close to the airport, Love having Starbucks ans Cinemas in the same location. Awesome. Thanks for everything

Their reservation policy only allows account deposits with a period greater than 72 hours prior to arrival. When complaining about this, a person from the corporate "attended", LEAVING WITHOUT RESOLVING the situation because it was her time off. It showed more sensitivity a young receptionist who allowed my access, assuming the risk that my deposit was not firm and left with my account. Clean room and breakfast, pretty good.
