Friendly staff.
Great stop over for our trip to Cornwall, used it several times and would highly recommend, rooms are away from the pub, breakfast was very good.
Not much else in the village, but everything at the pub!
Breakfast was excellent. Rooms superb. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Shower area (outside bottom ledge) needs a very good clean -lots of dust/grime but otherwise both rooms very clean.
Fabulous pub full of character, big room with comfy beds & the breakfast was exceptional.
Check in was easy. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good and we had an evening meal on the day of arrival which was very good.
Everything was OK
Welcomed by helpful friendly staff , comfortable clean accommodation , great value for money . Food in the restaurant was amazing especially the gluten free options . Little extras like coffee water tea in the room , shower gels etc very relaxed pub atmosphere . Perfect for a stopover while exploring

The staff are always friendly, the food is excellent at a very reasonable price and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

We booked this as stop off on the way back East after visiting family in the Devon. We arrived a little late in the day and, having had lunch, we did not try the evening menu but had a couple of pints in the bar. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. We both slept well and enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning. Overall, everything we wanted.
A shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on would have been very useful.
Location, good food fantastic local village pub, great welcome from all. Clean well equipped rooms. All good, will return
Nil nothing bad all good
Bed comfortable staff great and friendly breakfast very good
Signage didn't know were hotel reception was or were we leave keys on checking out Stairs to room quiet steep and bed even though it was very comfortable very small double

Clean, comfortable and friendly. Great breakfast.
Brilliant stay at the old pound inn, staff were all lovely, room was great, food was excellent, what more could you want.
The cheerful, helpful staff and excellent roast dinners
Great staff, v good location
The shower - had no temperature controller and the water was extremely hot. No warning to step into shower room
Friendly, helpful staff. Modern bathroom. Air-con Wi-fi Superb, homely food (breakfast & dinners)
The decoration in the bedrooms themselves is looking ‘dated’. Flashing LEDs on the wi-fi router in the room interrupted sleeping.

Super comfy room very clean and breakfast was very good!!
The breakfast was excellent although my wife and I would have liked some fruit to be available.
My wife was enamoured with the air fresheners as she was not happy with the smell.
Nice country pub where the locals gather lovely meal and great breakfast
Lovely stay at The Old Pound Inn. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
Easy to find , friendly staff, clean and comfortable & good menu , food was lovely

room smallish but it was a single room - bed very comfortable, air con fab, everything was clean and lots of thoughtful touches --- tea making etc . Staff were very friendly and the area is lovely. The rooms are in a purpose built block at the back of the very pretty pub. Plenty of parking
Location ideal for overnight stay. Clean room, comfortable bed, marvellous air-conditioning. Good shower and en-suite. Freshly cooked breakfast.
Room a bit small.
Comfortable room, would be ideal for a stay of a couple of days or more, if you are exploring the area. The breakfast was excellent, with an excellent meu.
All good.
War wie gedacht ... also sehr zufrieden.... jederzeit weiterzuempfehlen,!,,

Very helpful and friendly .
Nothing .
Large, a/c room at the back of the main pub. Quiet, cool and perfect place to stay in the centre of the village. Smooth check in at the bar. Great breakfast next morning.
A great Somerset pub exceptional Breakfast and evening meal, Staff were friendly and helpful, Room and amenities were spot on, very surprised that rooms have reverse A/C units quite rare in pubs I would think a great inclusion though, Parking no issue.
All good for my needs no complaints
Convenient location for Westonzoyland weekend living history event
Recently refurbished rooms, comfortable and clean
Friendly efficient staff, nice room, good food & drink. Pleasant village location.
Very noisy bar with a lot of young men.
Room was on the small side but adequate for a short stay. Would have preferred to have a chair in the room but not sure if there was enough space. Breakfast was cereals and cooked (which was cooked to order and very tasty). Being 'out in the sticks' we also had evening meals which were again cooked fresh and nice and hot. Location is ideal for the A303 and to explorer the local area including Haynes Motor Museum plus multiple National Trust properties . Additionally Bridgwater is a 20 minutes drive away and has regular trains to Taunton and Bristol.
Lack of chair in the room but as per above the size of the room may mean it wasn't possible. Apart from that I have no other negative comments.
Arrived met by a pleasant staff member showed us to our room which we had previous lovely bar meal and excellent breakfast we will be returning
A proper chair to sit on the stool is a bit uncomfortable
The people ..service & care was friendly and caring. Proper village hub. Didn't feel like a stranger. Super dog friendly

Attention to detail, cleanliness, attentive stuff
Great place to stay and it has air conditioning in the bedrooms
We had just walked 18 miles and got to the Old Pound Inn in the dark on a Sunday evening. The bar lady and the 5 or so customers were so welcoming. We were then given a sumptuous home made pie meal and crumble. A really comfortable room followed by a lovely Full English breakfast.
We liked everything!
Very friendly staff. Very dog friendly. Lovely comfortable room. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was really good. Great location.
Nothing to dislike
Excellent local village pub, with superb attentive staff. Great food both dinner and breakfast.
The food was exceptional, well worth the money Staff very friendly , also locals very friendly x
Getting a Taxi was not good if you require one would suggest pre book x
The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean despite being an old building. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly.
We arrived at 20.45pm so it was quiet .
Rooms well equipped beds comfortable and staff very helpful. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast.
More veggie choices on evening meal.

Liked the area, village. Food good. Friendly staff.
Nothing not to like. Room could have done with a chair.
Tea making facilities in the room. Nice modern electric shower. some staff very pleasant.
very rowdy clients in the bar , using foul, sexualised language , we’d ordered food so had to stay to eat. Bed was a small double and room wasn’t very big. Some staff not very friendly. On a noise road.
Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable large room, very clean. Breakfast was just the right size.
Everything was excellent. Breakfast was loveland well presented . Had dinner every evening, which was excellent. Lovely comfy bed, and facilities. Hosts were really friendly and helpful, and everything was clean comfortable and tidy.
Very clean and staff very welcoming
The size of the double bed very small
Pleasant welcome. Staff willing to help and informative. Room a good size with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was one of the best we have had at a b+b

The dinner was disappointing. The walls were too thin so disturbed by neighbours
Lovey location
Sunday roast wasn’t that nice I personally don’t like frozen veg !!
A traditional country pub with all the charm you would expect. Lovely evening meal and a terrific breakfast to start the day. Room was comfortable and spotless and the staff could not have been more welcoming.

Friendly staff. Warm bedroom Comfortable bed Great food
Bed extremely comfortable, room very clean, staff friendly. Breakfast was exceptional!
Stairs to rooms a bit steep. Would be nice to have a carpeted bedroom to make it cosier.
Just everything you’d hope for when staying at an Inn.
Nice village pub. Owners were fab , so was the food and bar staff, highly recommend it,

We enjoyed our breakfast and the room was all that we required for our short stay..
We ordered rib-eye steaks which were disappointing. They were tough and one of them was full of grissle. It was disappointing to pay for what we thought would be good quality meat for it not to be up to our expectations.
Such lovely staff and a great place to stay on our journey. Great food too - we had a wonderful dinner and breakfast.mWould go back again.
Nothing to dislike.
Both dinner and breakfast were very good, well cooked and well presented. The range of meals was varied and a bonus was all food as far as possible is locally sourced.
No criticism.
Air Con, large comfortable bed, smart well designed bathroom, friendly efficient service, very good value
Internet connection was weak

Very cosy place. Excellent food. Lovely staff.
Internet not good.
Pub was very friendly with a very welcome log fire. Dinner was well priced with generous portions and attentive staff. Breakfast, included in room rate, was excellent.
for the evening and night we were there nothing of note to dislike
Breakfast was good
Room was drab and the decoration needs improving. The heating was off on arrival and it took ages to warm up. A hard floor had been laid in the corridor and this was noisy when people walked up and down. Great for keeping clean but not so great for the guests.
Great friendly staff - close to friends
Nothing
Very warm welcome and was taken to our room, nice clean and comfortable room with lots of little extras like shampoo, lotion, biscuits, tea, coffee and bottles of water ect. Big TV which is unusual but very appreciated. Bed was comfortable, nice big shower and everything we could need. Lovely breakfast, one full English and one vegetarian, both were well cooked and very tasty!
Bit confused on where to leave the key but think that was my error!
Great place to stay
Very nice rooms everything you needed bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing would definitely stay here again.

Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Very friendly staff.
This pub accomodation was exceptionally well thought out and well managed. The facilties were not top luxury but everything was in good condition and everything worked properly. Even the shower was plumbed to give immediate hot water and the mirror was heated so you could use it immediately after showering. Little items that usually are overlooked were sorted. We ate at the pub and the food was good. Not high cuisine but good ingredients cooked well and all for what I believe to be unusually reasonable prices. All the staff were friendly and were efficient. All in all I would heartily recommend this place and would be very happy to go back if I were in the area. Well done to you all and thanks.
Room and breakfast was very good
Delicious breakfast after a comfy and cosy nights sleep. Staff were very friendly and attentive too!

Friendly staff, clean, excellent breakfast and comfortable room.
Nothing
The accommodation was perfect for us, the bottled water, biscuits and everything was topped up daily. The staff were excellent, they couldn't do enough for us, everyone was very friendly and attentive. The location was on a fairly main road, easily reachable by road, decent sized car park. Beer was excellent. Good breakfast.
I would have liked some healthier options for evening dinner, though the food was all cooked well and promptly and looked lovely.
Room smallish but very good, comfy bed, good wifi, nice tv, good tea tray, updated bathroom Decent beer in bar Decent pub food menu Very good breakfast Plenty parking Traditional pub in quiet village.
For a pub room it was slightly over budget, over £100 for B,B & EM , but it was a good stay. If anything, mini basin was a bit annoying when it comes to filling kettle and washing.
Breakfast was amazing, room clean and very comfortable
friendly staff good food and beer at a good price.
