The Green light by the door was really bright at night. It seems hidden away but it’s directly in eye sight from ghe bed on one side
The breakfast lady was brilliant.
Clean, friendly, bar staff and breakfast chef were so friendly. Rooms comfortable, food was pub obviously but very well cooked. No fault at all!!
Everything location, food, rooms, people
Nothing
Extremely pleasant and helpful staff, especially the lady who cooked the breakfast. She went out of her way when we arrived early to get us into our room so we could change for a wedding. The. Breakfast the next day was the highlight of our stay!
The room was so hot we didn’t get much sleep! It was a little basic, a hanging rail in the corner, limited choice of tea/coffee, door lock was a little difficult to use. Bed not terribly comfortable and the pillows awful!
location and cleanlinlss
not enough spare sockets in room
Room was spotless, so comfortable and a lovely shower, everything you need, breakfast was delicious and the staff were exceptional, so friendly and made you feel so welcome, also plenty of parking, would stay again and would recommend to anyone travelling near there
There is nothing I can say that I did not like about the Drayton Crown
Friendly and helpful staff
Bed and bedding/towels were very good. Nice sized room in a separate annexe with easy access. Tea and coffee facility. Good shower. Lovely pub in a pretty village
A small fridge would have been handy. The floorboards are very creaky.
Fan didn't cool the room adequately. Noise from car park drinkers late at night. And deliveries early morning. The worst noise was the maintenance man cobweb blowing right next to the window as we were having breakfast. Breakfast was poor. Ridiculous selection of variety pack cereals, no fruit, yoghurt or granola. Horrible sweet orange juice in a glass on the table, Neither of us drink it. Choose anything from full English breakfast menu, but there are no baked beans. Came with hash browns, which we hadn't asked for, burnt oil soaked mushrooms, and mostly white toast when we'd asked for wholemeal. Undercooked, strong smoked bacon.
Lovely comfortable rooms and great friendly staff. Angie who does the breakfast service is wonderful - always very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Creaky noisy floorboards in corridor. A mini fridge in the rooms would be a real bonus.
Helpful friendly staff. Good facilities.
No dining facilities available only breakfast.
This was our 4th stay at Drayton Arms as usual we really enjoyed it. Lovely breakfast cooked by Angie - she always makes feel very welcome.
A little disappointed that the chef was away so no food was available for a meal in the evening & as there is nowhere else in the village it was a shame.
Everything. Most comfortable bed I've every slept in away from home. Room was immaculate with a lovely shower. Staff was fantastic and the restaurant in the evening and the breakfast were superb.

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast.
Didn't have aircon but did provide a good fan. They dont provide breakfast and dinner every day, Check before you visit.
Small, friendly and good service
No air conditioning and lack of local produce.
Polite staff. Helpful. Breakfast was very good
Very hot night. Unfortunately air conditioning not adequate but it really was an exceptionally hot night
Excellent staff, comfortable room, good dinner, meal was good value too, easy to park, good location. The lady serving breakfast, Ange, was very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was well cooked.
Nothing to dislike, but I couldn’t sleep until about 3am because it was hot weather and the room was too hot for me. Despite having the window open all night and two fans on. I felt maybe there was something keeping it warm (boiler near or something?) because it felt as though the outside temperature had cooled down by late evening.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Friendly and welcoming staff.
There wasn’t anything to dislike
Clean, sensibly priced, easy to find handy location, quiet with good food.
Nothing
Hotel excellent, staff excellent, food excellent
Noise was unacceptable, outside dogs barking early doors, car horns blasting early doors, passage way down accommodation noisy, doors slamming , I did not have a restful stay at all . And for that reason I won't stay again, shame , And the rolm needs more plug sockets 1 double socket is not enough
Average place to stay , accomodation basic but clean , food poor but the beer and cider makes up for it
The staff , the rooms, location and food was excellent, we will stop again when in the area again
Simple clean rooms and friendly country pub.
Beds are too soft
Ambiance. Cleanliness.
No breakfasts.
The room was very spacious. The breakfast was great and excellent value.
The breakfast was fantastic. The service was brilliant and very personalised with the chefs coming to speak to you. I’m bringing your tea coffee and serving the most amazing food.

All staff were attentive, polite and amiable
30 degrees outside and the bathroom heater had been left on = stifling temp in room, only saved by the welcomed fan available in the room We could not open a window as we were directly above the outdoor bar seating area, full of smokers and folks having a lovely evening
Excellent breakfast. We both had the full English and thought it one of the best we’d had. Thick cut bacon, not too salty and very good sausage. Room was comfy and the bar served well kept beer.
The stairs to the first floor bedroom were a bit of a challenge to our aged legs. On the plus side they were well lit, non slip and had a secure handrail.
A lovely room, and convenient for us, with plenty of parking. Note that there is no food service on a Sunday evening, and no breakfast on Monday morning. Not a problem as the Firehouse do both of these. There was no kettle in the room, but one was provided when asked. Overall, a good stay, with a comfortable bed and good shower.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. It’s a convenient stop when visiting family. The rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly.
Cosy clean and comfortable. Quiet and relaxing

Breakfast was tasty.
Booking.com/system issues when updated card details prompted by the system caused issues with our booking. Including the cost and charge being incorrect. Didn't have bedding for our 3rd guest. Requested this from a member of staff. They didn't do anything about it. Luckily staff laundry room was unlocked so sorted ourselves out. Flagged this with the hotel for them to rectify in some way. Apology received but the only compensation was the £15 "underpayment" that we had tried to pay on the date and the staff member wouldn't let us.
Very clean, exceptionally helpful staff
Nothing
The warmth of the staff and regular clients.
Very little.
Comfortable room and good shower
Outrageous steep staircase to room. Prices for food and drink way above one would expect in a country pub. Local cider £5 a pint. Oh come off it.
Staff very friendly and effivient
No grab rail in shower especially when you are elderly
Excellent place to stay, extremely helpful and polite staff, room was spacious and clean. We highly recommend the Drayton crown. We will definitely come back to the Drayton crown in the future
Nothing
Nice location and hotel is seemingly new comfortable room and spacious. Staff very professional and good at the pub for dinner & breakfast was good
Lovely staff & setting. Great food although huge portions sizes
Nothing
Excellent location at a fair price.
The floor boards are ridiculously.nosey. Not fixed after our third and unfortunately last visit. Even with comments made in previous review and verbally. The room was also unbearably hot.
Very friendly staff , lovely food and everything very clean
Room was quite small and very hot making it very uncomfortable to sleep at night .
Very comfortable room and a great freshly cooked breakfast
Squeaky floor boards
Excellent cooked to order breakfast.
We chose this place precisely for the location. Apart from being very hot (limited ventilation and a pathetic fan) it was comfortable, the quality of showerroom, furniture and furnishings better than most places. Would happily stay here again.
Breakfast was mostly standard for this type of stay in the UK, though the "granary bread" was unlike any I've had/purchased elsewhere: overall adequate rather than exciting. And given that the general quality of the building, furniture, furnishings etc, was excellent it seemed mean that a £ or two was saved by installing single power sockets by the bedside and very few elsewhere in the room. Floors a bit creaky, too.
Clean good food
There’s no Ubers or Taxis in the area. Dropped off from Airport and was a bit stuck. Friends finally arrived and got me after trying to get a ride after a few hours
Very cosy room with a comfortable bed Breakfast was tasty and staff were friendly and helpful

Lovely pub with good food and beer. The staff were very nice, especially the manager who's name we forgot to ask. The atmosphere in the pub garden was great, very friendly local people. Only 4 rooms but ours was excellent. We had a lovely breakfast, good quality sausage and bacon and excellent home made bread.
My daughter wasn't keen on ratatouille with sausage and mash 😀
Great Decor. Room a good size and very comfy bed. Great shower. A lovely meal and good breakfast. Good Wine. Staff helpful. Nice to have secure shed for our bikes.
The room was very hot due to high temperatures. We had to have the window open and fan on all night. It was cooler downstairs. Would have liked more choice for breakfast. Yoghurt and fresh fruit?
Lovely large accommodation
Clean, obviously recently upgraded (in last year?). Easy to move about, really good car parking facilities. Bed very comfy, shower brilliant
Please FIX the squeaky floorboards. It actually kept one of our group awake as people came to bed late - left for their work at 06.30/07.00
Clean spacious comfortable room
Nothing
Farm house style full English breakfast cooked to order
Excellent place
Breakfasts were great, cooked to order. Nothing was too much bother.
No food on Sunday evening
Helpful and friendly staff, room a really good size, comfortable bed, good size en-suite and fluffy towels. Very quiet and relaxing location. The breakfast was exceptional, fresh coffee, full English was very good quality and hot.
No faults.
Breakfast was great. And was nice touch to be able to personalise it.
We were there for family visit.
Would have liked an extra chair in room for reading.
Comfortable room, great shower, friendly and helpful staff, tasty food well cooked. Will definitely stay here again.
Room was big and warm and bed super comfy. Breakfast was lovely as were all the staff. Pub in evening was friendly and food good. Throughly enjoyed my time here!
The staff, food and atmosphere were all excellent. The live music from a local band on the Friday night was fabulous.
the room
nothing to add
A pub like pubs used to be when pubs were pubs. Well frequented with colorful locals. Wonderful conversation, food, drink and a comfy room to sleep in after. Breakfast was just as brilliant.
What's not to like?
Everything
No mini fridge in room anymore Also coffee machine not there anymore
Lovely quiet room. Good bar & restaurant.
Lumpy pillow.
Breakfast excellent. Location perfect for our needs this visit.
Lovely breakfast, beautifully cooked, generous portions, nicely hot drinks and good choices of cooked food. Comfortable surroundings, efficient service with plenty of butter, marmalade, honey etc.
The breakfast was very good, the room was very clean, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be going back when we go to visit family who live nearby. A little gem.
There was nothing to dislike
Quaint little village setting we were made very welcome by Georgia and Rob the bar staff, Carl Damon and Steve the chefs whose food was delicious to Angie the housekeeper nothing was too much trouble. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud.
Nothing we didn't like
Style and location. People.
The pillows were lumpy and soft. Cobwebs in area to hang clothes. Noisy floorboards.
Very welcoming , good food - perfect for going out to other places
Everything was just right
Clean very welcoming, great staff
Nothing. Best hotel I have stayed in for some time
Lovely country pub in pretty location.
Noises floor boards.
