The property is intimate and well-appointed.
I can't think of anything.

Beautiful hotel! Pool area is amazing.
the facilities and the staff
nothing
I really wanted to like this hotel, but the experience never came close to justifying the premium price. The rooms are exceptionally small, and the Murphy beds leave very little usable space once they're down. You're paying boutique hotel rates for accommodations that feel cramped and impractical. The lack of soundproofing is another major issue. The walls are so thin that neighboring guests' conversations—and even flushing toilets—are clearly audible. Despite quiet hours being posted throughout the property, they do not appear to be consistently enforced. The pool experience was equally disappointing. Signage states the pool is open until 6:00 PM, yet poolside service effectively ends around 3:30 PM when the kitchen begins shutting down. Staff start collecting towels and closing umbrellas well before the posted closing time, creating the impression that guests are expected to leave. To make matters more confusing, staff informed us that the pool closes at 5:00 PM despite signage indicating otherwise. Guests are also limited to a small selection of pre-made cocktails and cannot order drinks from the hotel bar while at the pool. Once poolside service ends, there is effectively a two-hour gap during which obtaining a drink becomes unnecessarily difficult, as the hotel bar does not open until 5:00 PM and often is not ready to serve guests until 5:30 PM or later. It was also surprising to see all poolside drinkware restricted to acrylic plastic while servers freely delivered glass bottles of Saratoga water and wine to the pools edge. The service culture throughout the property was perhaps the biggest disappointment. Rather than feeling welcomed, it often felt as though guests were an inconvenience. I rarely encountered so many staff members actively avoiding eye contact instead of acknowledging waiting customers. Even after the bar officially opens, guests can be left waiting 30 to 45 minutes while staff continue setup and preparation, making it clear that operational tasks take priority over the guest experience. Ultimately, the pricing suggests a luxury boutique hotel experience, but the room quality, noise levels, inconsistent policies, and lackluster service simply do not justify the cost. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family, nor would I choose to stay here again.
Very classy and hip place to stay. Great lounge/bar and restaurant . Excellent location to walk around Asbury Park
I attended a wedding St Laurent including an overnight stay. The property is beautiful. Rooms were clean spacious and comfortable. The bar and restaurant we're perfect and I cannot say enough about the staff. We will be returning here in the future.
Good place. Definitely coming back.
great hotel with beautiful pool area. food and drinks was great. only thing I would change is the bed.
What a quaint sophisticated Boutique Hotel...the restaurant is phenomenal. The bar area super cute and the pool makes you feel like you are in Hamptons beach party. The pool staff isn't very friendly they had the look on their face like why are you talking to me which is unfortunate. The amount I paid to stay in NJ i was hoping and expecting more. Unfortunately they are kids and as most can attest too they just dont really care.
we had a very enjoyable and pleasant experience. The staff was very accommodating in the service was exceptional.
I left my shirt in the rooms closet went back for it an hour later and it was not found
It’s a cute place. Comfy beds. Pool closes too early. No ice machines. No in room coffee. Front desk closes early and then there is no staff person around at all. Not sure I understood the self service concept. But let’s have the pool and bar open.
Worth the money the rooms and pool were so nice! Didn’t eat at the restaurant or spend time at the bar because it was a short treat but loved hanging by the pool on the check in day. Staff was very kind and accommodating too!
Cool, hip hotel. Food is excellent. Service is fast. Rooms clean. Takes a bit of pushing to get a good seat by the pool (members get priority over hotel guests).
I’ve visited before just to use the pool for the day but this time I stayed overnight for a mini getaway. Check in and check out were seamless. It was difficult finding parking but later in the day when the pool closed I was able to move my car right in front. Pool was great, service was quick, food served was delicious however besides wine and beer there were only 3 choices for cocktail. I would have preferred more choices than an aperol spritz, margarita or lemonade. The room was clean and decor was simple and modern, bed was super comfortable, bathroom was Small but loved the shower. Judy’s restaurant food and service were a 10. Lounge was great for after dinner drinks and relaxing. I do wish there was a changing room for transitioning after the pool closes. There is no breakfast. I really thinks it’s important to offer a little something like a continental breakfast; something simple like bananas, muffins, croissant, danish would suffice but not to offer anything at all was disappointing; especially since the pool doesn’t open for food service til 11am and we didnt want to risk going out and losing our parking spot. Overall it was an excellent stay and I will certainly be back in the future.
The Pool was absolutely disgusting, the water was full of dirt, bugs, body oils and lotions, clearly the filter wasn't working properly and not enough chlorine. guest rooms are very noisy, hard to sleep. The Air conditioning in the room are awful, the rooms do not get cold enough. great service at judys, food was mediocre at best! Wont be returning to this establishmen
Cool spot to chill poolside. Great restaurant and bar.
Check in and out was super easy. The room and bathroom were beautiful
Had a great stay at The St. Laurent, it could be excellent but needs a few improvements. They really make the most out of every inch of this property! Rooms were nice, clean with everything you needed. They even provided Sunflow beach chairs in your closet. Almost didn't book because of the murphy bed but it was actually quite comfortable. The pool area is great and the staff there were very nice but the pool closes at 5:00. I understand the restaurant is right there, but at the very least they need to close the bar early and allow people to sit after the beach. We only got to enjoy it for 40 minutes before they kicked us out. The front porch (maybe put a curtain up to cover the extra signs and chairs you're storing on the side) and lounge were great spaces but service was slow and rude. Bartender was annoyed with us the minute we asked for a drink, even after we complimented her on the drinks she was still dismissive and this was on a relatively quiet Sunday night. The food in the restaurant (Judy's) is excellent, chicken savoy and chicken parm were the best I've ever had! People complained about parking but we had no issues at all finding a spot right on the street. Overall happy with our choice and would return!
The location is very good. The bar and restaurant were very good. The pool was a bit overcrowded based upon club members and people with $65 per day passes to use the pool. The pulsating music all day long got to be annoying. For a place you pay about $700 per night, there is no parking. You have to carry all of your luggage up and down a narrow old staircase. The room walls are paper thin and very small. A few young women were in the next room and talking loud and laughing until 2am. I had to text the invisible staff so they could text the other guests. The pool is only open 10 am to 5pm in the middle of summer. They have a coffee bar but no milk or cream or sweetener. The pool towels are very thin and cheap. You can check in early or check out late for an additional 50 bucks or more. I had a good time and the on-site staff works hard but is not empowered to improve your stay.
Hotel was easy to access; room was nice and clean. Our room was on the same side as their recycling, so it was a bit noisy with bottles being dumped various times throughout the night, despite being on the top floor. It is clear the staff are new and they are working out kinks - for example the front desk gave us a free drink pass that no one at the hotel knew how to use. It’s very confusing the division of the different businesses within the building, between Harry’s, Judy’s, the pool and hotel. Pool was a bit frustrating as is was very empty most days we were there but there were reserved signs on all the seats. Members have more opportunities over hotel guests, like the ability to reserve a pool seat through late afternoon, which was off putting considering what we paid to say there.
Nice property! Food and drinks are greay
This place is a hidden gem!!
Cute hotel
Extremely costly for what you get. A Murphy bed! The smallest rooms. Paper thin walls. No view.

Excellent little boutique hotel in Asbury with swift & easy check in, clean/comfortable rooms and nice amenities. I didn’t get a chance to visit the pool or restaurant/bar as I got in very late after a work event but I really wish I had! Being that I was here on business, the code entry feature was a selling point! I wish I had more time to spend at this very relaxing, quaint hotel… maybe next time!
Very quaint hip hotel about 3-4 blocks from ocean and restaurants near beach. Pool I amazing, inside bar/lounge is also amazing.
Lauren was so welcoming and helpful!! She brought smiles to our faces .. she’s a rock star! Our room was so clean and the beds and linens were great! The location was perfect for us too. We stayed 2 nights. We were lucky to get a convenient parking spot and decided to take an uber to dinner so we wouldn’t lose our parking spot. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool, however, it looks wonderful. I would stay there again! Thank you again Lauren!!
I loved the seemless entry of tgehotel the cleanliness the room was super comfortable. Slept great. The bar was awesome!!!! The bar food was amazing. 10 out of 10!!!!
Tiny bit not like since u asked. The bar music could be heard in my room. Nothing terrible.
The Lounge and Bar are both charming and well thought out, and the overall vibe of the place feels modern and intentional. The pool area is nicely done too—comfortable lounge chairs, and when the staff is attentive, it’s a great space to relax. But the staff is hit or miss. Some interactions were been warm and welcoming, but others felt flat-out dismissive. It’s a bit jarring when you’re paying a premium and don’t know whether you’ll be treated like a guest or an inconvenience. Then there’s the room—and this is where the real disappointment sets in. The Murphy bed, which might sound charming in theory, dominates the room (probably 12x12 at best). Once it’s pulled down, there’s little to no space left. There’s no desk, which in today’s world feels like a BIG oversight, if not outright shameful—especially at this price point. Not even a chair to sit in. You ARE either in your bed or standing. If you travel with more than a small carry-on, one bag ends up wedged next to the bed. Lighting? No individual bedside lamps, just general overhead lighting that doesn’t create any kind of relaxing or practical environment. It’s clear that form was chosen over function here. The bathroom does have a great shower, and I’ll give credit where it’s due there. But again, no counter space! Nowhere to set a toiletry bag. The minimalist sink may look nice in photos, but it’s frustrating to use in real life. Bottom line—The St.
The St. Laurent Social Club & Guest Rooms - the property has a trendy, boutique feel, I’m honestly questioning whether it’s worth the price. Yes, the design is sharp. The Lounge and Bar are both charming and well thought out, and the overall vibe of the place feels modern and intentional. The pool area is nicely done too—comfortable lounge chairs, and when the staff is attentive, it’s a great space to relax. But that’s the thing—the staff is hit or miss. Some interactions have been warm and welcoming, but others felt flat-out dismissive. It’s a bit jarring when you’re paying a premium and don’t know whether you’ll be treated like a guest or an inconvenience. BTW - it’s worth noting that the pool doesn’t open until 10 a.m. and shuts down by 5 p.m., which is a bit frustrating if you're hoping for an early morning or evening swim. I get it—they’re right next to residential homes, so noise is probably a factor—but it still limits how much you can enjoy the space. Then there’s the room—and this is where the real disappointment sets in. The Murphy bed, which might sound charming in theory, dominates the room (probably 12x12 at best). The minimalist sink may look nice in photos, but it’s frustrating to use in real life. Bottom line—The St. Laurent looks good on the surface, but once you’re actually in the space, it feels more like a staged set than a place designed for real guests. For what they’re charging, I expected so much more. There are almost certainly better values in the area that deliver both style and substance.
A cool vibe but very rude staff. I felt like I was an inconvenience to them. Nice decor but definitely would stay elsewhere. Too many rules. Awful pool hours. No refrigerators. No in room coffee. No parking. No elevator. Very steep and narrow stairs. Stay elsewhere.
Location, boutique like hotel. Adult only hotel. Clean, easy check in.
I didn’t like that the bar was not available around 3pm. If was not available until 5pm.
Wish the pool area was open alittle earlier in May.
Getting right to the point, finally a boutique hotel in Asbury Park that matches the reputation of a city that’s undergone and continues to revitalize itself. The Saint Laurent Social Club as the retro hot pink neon sign boasts on the hotels exterior hits every high mark and checks all the boxes. A very clean, chic and cool hotel. The petite room was very comfortable and well appointed with modern decor. We had an amazing little getaway. The new restaurant, Judy’s is a wonderful addition to the hotel that made our stay all that much better. The cocktails and the food are all beautifully presented and delicious! We will definitely be a returning guests!
Everything was great ! The only thing that wasnt perfect is the beds were a little short. It wasnt too short for me as im 5 foot 9 but my friend is 6 foot 3 and was uncomfortable. Other than that Everything was perfect!
The St. Laurent is a lovely boutique hotel. It is ideal for self-service style stays. There is a cupboard in the hallway accessible for guests with additional towels and toiletries - which is nice b/c you do not have to wait for someone to bring them to you. The restaruant on site was amazing and food delicious. The bar / lounge area was very comfortable and had a nice vibe. I will say that this hotel does not have an elevator so be prepared to walk up stairs (three levels max).
Chic space and superb service made our anniversary get away super special! Highlights: The sheets were the crispest we have ever slept in. Beds and pillows were very comfy. The hotel decor is absolutely beautiful. Comfortable and chic at the same time. The food and drinks were delicious too! Will definitely be coming back soon!
We had a great time staying at the St. Laurent. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, the location is perfect, the staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant is unbelievable. I highly recommend to any adults traveling to Asbury Park.
Under different circumstances this property would have been fine. We didn't realize the circumstances when we booked. We are a 90 year old couple who came to Asbury Park for granddaughter's wedding. The wedding began around 3:00 so we couldn't check in and it was 10:30 pm before we arrived to check in after driving around the block to find a parking space. Fortunately we didn't have too much luggage but then we had to carry everything up the steps. Thank goodness our daughter had a room on the 2nd floor which she traded for our room on the 3rd floor. We are used to having a complimentary breakfast at our hotel which was not presented at the St. Laurent. And I don't even want to talk about the ridiculous price.
After our small backyard wedding, we wanted a mini-moon to celebrate. The St. Laurent couldn't have been a better place! As entrepreneurs and lovers of design, it was perfect. It was a quieter time (end of September) but just what we needed and now we can't wait to go back during busy season.
A very cool place!! We enjoyed spending our anniversary there. The lounge and restaurant were great! Would love to come back when the pool is open. Pillows were excellent and I would love to know the brand/type so I can get them for home. Please let me know. Thanks again!
Appreciated the modern, clean interior, the pool area, the bar, the food and especially the service; when I had a digital board meeting starting at 5 am (which is lunchtime in Europe) they let me use another room opposite of the one we were staying in, free of charge! Great atmosphere as well, and quiet AC...
Great property all around. The pool has Great energy and you feel like you are in Europe not New Jersey. Property itself is well maintained. Have drinks at the bar great atmosphere! Checking in is all done before getting to the property and the property is cashless!
The St. Laurent is a sophisticated, smart and thoughtful host that provides a relaxing and elegant stay. Overall the staff was wonderful and the property was great, not to mention the restaurant and lounge. Would definitely come back and recommend!
This was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I had no icky hotel feeling. The beds were so comfortable and we slept so well. Everything was new, clean and bright! We loved the pool vibe, hotel bar and Heirloom was top notch! We will recommend this hotel to everyone!
Sweet spot! Great pool and lounge area. Food and drinks are wonderful! Rooms are small but we knew that beforehand. Super clean and they clearly pay attention to detail. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the downtown area of restaurants and shops so we took advantage of the electric scooters - fun way to get around Asbury. We will be back!
Bath room well designed, liked Murphy bed!
The walls were thin and one room didn’t have a place to hang things
Excellent staff. Pool was lovely. Restaurant was very good.
Unique boutique hotel in residential area. Rented the electric scooters parked out front to get to our restaurant in the evening.
Beds 10/10, super comfy, the mid day naps were very much taken. Food was yummy, service was also great! Staff was so kind and so nice! Pool was amazing, and the poolside drinks and food, fast and delicious!!! Definitely will be coming back!!!!
They’ve thought of everything. Enough loungers & umbrellas for all of their guests by the pool. Beach chairs & badges for the quick walk to the beach. A quick walk to tons of restaurants made for a fabulous night!
Chill time at the pool with my sweetheart. Amazing dinner at Heirloom and cool people staying on the property. The rooms are snug, but that's true of the rooms at hotels nearby as well. The St. Laurent is a special place and I would return again.
I loved the facility and its amenities. The pool staff was AMAZING as well as restaurant staff.
I did not like how the staff at check in treated us. They weee a little rude when greeting us. I also did not like the policy of only being able to attend the pool AFTER 1pm.
I was so excited to celebrate my friends bachelorette here despite how overpriced the rooms were. Upon arrival there were cheetos leftover on the floor and poop on the bathroom wall. Clearly the tiny rooms are not cleaned properly. When told the lounge chairs were “first come first serve” at 10 am we arrived promptly at 9:45 am to secure our spot and our party came shortly after. The pool manager “Destiny” told us in order to accommodate our large party we were placed in the WOODEN ADIRONDACK CHAIRS!!! Keep in mind these are in a long line so you can only talk to the person next to you AND VERY uncomfortable. We asked to switch but were not allowed to. Destiny was extremely rude and not accommodating. She told us everywhere else was taken even though we were the first ones there. We were even okay with only 3 or 4 loungers but told no after spending $4000 to stay at the hotel. Rip off and not well managed. Do not stay here!!!
Pool was modern and clean. Our room was spacious and updated. Clean, air conditioned. Shower had great water pressure. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and had access to city scooters and close access to the boardwalk, downtown, shops and restaurants. We will be back!
The room was perfect, modern, & clean. Only downfall is no place to change or shower since we had to check out at 11. I know there are changing room, but they were outside and tiny. No showers. Also the herloim kitchen was a beautiful restaurant but the food was mediocre at best. However the lunch food looked better. I would return but dine elsewhere!
It's a very cute, instagram worthy space. However, in practicality, it was not great for us. The beds are murphy beds, and sleep like murphy beds/sofa beds. Both of us woke up with a sore backs after one night. And while the idea of flipping the bed into a couch is nice, but it wasn't practical to flip it up right when we woke up, and we wished there was a spot to sit, even for a moment. It's pricey, and our backs were bummed about it. We did have a very nice person at the desk who helped us with something we forgot.
Hotel and restaurant are on point. Expensive, but great.
Everything
Beautiful property awesome pool.
Loved it
Luxury, trendy, and enjoyable. The stuff was super friendly and the location was very walkable to the beach boardwalk with its restaurants and music. The rooms were immaculate and the bed was so comfortable. The best part of the stay was the pool where they served delicious food and had great music. People were also very friendly. There's a reason why it's called the social club! I would definitely come back again
The staff was very helpful and welcoming. I was not disappointed and will be returning
The Saint Laurent is Super Lux and at the same time super chill. It was the perfect Holiday getaway. Pool was amazing. Food was incredible. Room was beautiful. Highly recommend!
Parking was a little tricky as it was a super busy holiday and the property doesn't have on-site parking.
Excellent grounds with a delicious restaurant and beautiful bar on site. Wonderful accommodations, I will return.
Beautiful hotel Upscale Clean Beds are not the most comfortable as they are conveniently Murphy beds , but it has everything you might need . Parking could be a hassle due to no parking in the facilities but plenty of street parking if you are lucky to find one available.
Niced for a short getaway. Lovely pool but they did not let us know that a reservation was needed to secure lounges despite being a hotel guest!
The Bar and bartenders are fantastic
i was glad there was an ensuite bathroom. After booking i was concerned about having a shared toilet but fortunately it wasn't. The hotel is great
When i arrived there was a craft beer launch party which was loud. i had to finish work for a presentation the next morning and it was a bit annoying. That was my only complaint and I assume it was a one time event
Very clean
Super clean and comfortable experience! We will definitely be coming back!
Booked a King room, we ended with a room with a view on the pool and the house next door, clean, spacious, nice bathroom. Only things I would say/change: bathroom could have a few more amenities for the price, like some body cream in addition to the shower gel/shampoo, etc.. second thing is all the beds in the property are murphy bed, and although it was very comfortable, it did make some noise when you moved around !
First time staying here and it was amazing! Staff were helpful, friendly, and kind. The room was comfortable, restaurant onsite was very good having some Top Chef contestants and mixologists. Everything was delicious! And the lounge onsite was perfect for an after dinner drink at the bar. Walking distance to the boardwalk, shops, the beach, and world renowned music venues. Highly recommend!
Very nice stay I’ll be back.
It was excellent. Checking was fast. Friendly staff
Fabulous hotel, great pool, drinks, and food. Wish they had on-site parking but otherwise, it was perfect.
The pool restaurant and speakeasy all amazing
A bit pricey than most. It used to be a BnB called Tides. Now it's a boutique hotel with a pool, attached restaurant and bar. Check-in and out was seamless -- all done electronically and thru a mobile device. Asbury Park boardwalk is a short distance away. The hotel was fully-gutted and renovated, so everything is brand new (as of July 2023).
Overall this is a fantastic property. The bar lounge is great and the rooms are nicely updated and clean. The pool area is beautiful but as a guest was disappointing only Adirondack chairs and not chaise lounge chairs were available (we even arrived when the pool opened at 10 am). Also, the pool water needed clarifier or shock since the water was cloudy.
Great stay
Beautiful design and high quality renovation. Good attention to detail in whole room.
The restoration of the former Tides is fantastic. The design throughout the property is exquisite and combines the historic character of the property with a clean contemporary beach style.
The room was well designed and clean. It has a great location with the Boardwalk and downtown within walking distance.
I had some problems with the keypad entry.
Loved everything just wish a fridge of some sort was available…leftovers and drinks weren’t easily stored which is nice to have on vacation. Other than that it was a perfect stay. Thanks so much!
I received an email with an entry code the day after we needed it, leading to difficulty accessing the place. The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. Our room was small and somewhat noisy with music and crowd sound from the bar. The front porch was large and very pleasant.
Easy Contactless check in and check out. Shower and bed was amazing. Nice lounge connected downstairs and lovely patio. Would definitely stay again.
