Hosts and staff all friendly, helpful and relaxed.

Not just relating to this accomodation Kettle - this style common to hotels and guest houses in South Africa and in our experience they often fail to turn off and boil away. They also drip quite a lot which is a problem with hot water.

Location near restaurants,electric blankets and other facilities in the bedroom.Lounge with log fire.

Breakfast a little unconventional,no cold buffet,no choice of toast.

An incredible place to stay, with the best host I have ever encountered at a guesthouse. Exceptional breakfast and hospitality. Can’t wait to head back to this amazing place and town.

I strongly recommend the Vineyard Country House. Centrally located in beautiful, historic Montagu; quiet, restful, immaculate, tastefully furnished. Estelle is the perfect host. Looking forward to a return visit.

Excellent Delicious Classy

Absolutely nothing

We had a great stay at the Vineyard Country House. Upon arrival we were greeted by our friendly host and she made sure everything was in order in our room for our stay. She also offered to make us reservations for dinner at a nearby restaurant. The room was clean and neat and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast that was included for the next morning was also very nice. I would definitely go back next time.

The location was okay but it's very close to a busy road with some noise from passing cars

The Vineyard Country House is very centrally located in Montagu. We were warmly welcomed, and thoroughly enjoyed our two nights there. The breakfast was delicious, as was the light lunch we had there.

Die Vineyard Countrylodge ist wunderschön und in jedem Detail sehr liebevoll angelegt und ausgestattet. Als es bei unserer Ankunft geregnet hatte, hatte uns die Besitzerin sogar selbst zu einem der Restaurants (Blu Vines - Empfehlung!) gefahren und auch angeboten, uns wieder abzuholen. Die Zimmer und Terrassen waren bezaubernd! Wir waren leider nur für eine Nacht als Zwischenstopp in Montagu, so dass wir die Lodge nicht wirklich intensiv genießen konnten (z.B. den pool), aber in jedem Fall 100% zu empfehlen.

Breakfast was more than enough, variety was good. Location was excellent, we could walk to the restaurant to have supper. Very safe area.

The whole experience was a delight, from the warm welcome, through the secure parking to the offer of something to eat in the evening. Our host, Estelle, could not possibly have been more attentive.

There was really nothing that could possibly cause any complaint. Everything was as we could have hoped.

We had a delightful stay at The Vinyard Country House, we will definately stay again the next time we go to Montegu. The staff we all VERY friendly as well as the owner, she is an absolute gem!! The property is very sweet and charming. The only thing I wish to point out, is I would imagine it would be very cold showering in the winter with no shower walls or door. But thats just an FYI, it is still 120% worth staying here. And the morning breakfast is traditional and DELICIOUS!!!

Open Showers are not MY favorite - But that is a ME thing. Not a property problem!!

This venue was recommended to us by a friend and his pleasure with his stay definitely resonated with our lovely couple of days here. Our host, Estelle, could not possibly have been a more attentive person and made sure that everything we wanted was attended to.

Everything about The Vineyard was superb, Estelle greeted us and even offered us super 👌 this is our 2nd time stay here and our only go to when in Montagu

There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like

This was the second time staying at the Vineyard. The stay was even better than our last holiday. The room was relaxing and luxurious. The guesthouse is central enough to walk into village for browsing or dinner.

Perfect stop to cut one’s journey and spend time in Montagu exploring the restaurants and town. It was my 2nd stay over

I could not fault anything during my 1 night stay. I wanted to stay longer but unfortunately they had no availability. The room was spacious, very clean and a had a lovely stoep, with chairs and a day bed. It was lovely to have the swimming pool and there was very easy access to the lovely town and was within easy walking distance of restaurants, cafes and art galleries. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was super. I have no hesitation in recommending Vineyard Country House.

The shower was a bit noisy perhaps a plumbing issue for the host to look into.

My hostess personally greeted me and immediately after orienting me, offered to make dinner reservations in town. The room and home is beautifully appointed and the breakfast is twelve out of ten . Definitely will be back!

Ein schönes Gästehaus mit einer freundlichen Besitzerin. Dsa Zimmer ist gross und das Bett bequem. Das Frühstück wird serviert und alles wird frisch zubereitet. Super schön. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Danke Uns wurde auch ein Restaurant zum Dinner reserviert.

We had clients stay here during the Cape Epic, and Estelle and her team truly went out of their way to make our guests feel at home. The pool was perfect for the hot days after the Epic, and the air-conditioned rooms were very much appreciated. The hospitality was excellent, and our clients thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

Zu kurzes Bett- geschätzt nur 1,80 m lang - für mich (1,89 m) Decke bestand aus einem Leintuch und einer separaten Wolldecke - aber keine Decke in einem Überzug.

Both accommodation and breakfast were excellent, with a level of attention to detail that one rarely encounters.

Room was very comfortable, breakfast very good, and a helpful and pleasant host who helped us with a dinner reservation. We only stayed one night as we were passing through, but would have been happy to stay longer.

Estelle war eine tolle Gastgeberin, die uns bei unserem Aufenthalt mit Rat und Tat zur Seite gestanden hat, Ihre Tipps waren immer passend, wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Der Pool war herrlich, regelmäßig kMen die Hühner vorbei, was recht unterhaltsam war. mittags konnten wir eine üppige Wurst Käseplatte beste, die liebevoll zubereitet wurde.

Die vorbei führende Straße konnte man hören, war aber nicht wirklich störend.

The property is in the middle of the attractive town of Montagu And yet is set amongst its own small vineyard. Our bedroom enjoyed a splendid view across the vineyard. The bedrooms and gardens were maintained impeccably. There was a full size swimming pool within the vineyard. We were using within walking distance of a variety of eating outlets. The events were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and Estelle was a friendly and generous host. We would thoroughly recommend this property

Very nice and helpful owners. Pool surrounded with plants. Cosy room with terrace. Maintained garden.

The four double rooms are located in annex buildings. Our room had a covered terrace overlooking the garden. The garden is located on the edge of a vineyard. There are sun loungers by the pool and a bench under a canopy. The room has air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The double bed is a comfortable width and has a selection of soft pillows. There is one parking space per room in the garden. Hand and shower gel and body lotion are provided in the bathroom. +Fridge, capsule machine, kettle. Breakfast was freshly prepared. The safe in the cupboard was not secured and therefore useless. Just a note: the owners have two quiet dogs.

It is an accommodation located on a vineyard in Montagu, at the entrance to the Garden Route along Route 62. Each accommodation unit is designed with great attention to detail, and the magnificent full breakfast was especially impressive. The kind hostess generously offered valuable advice, including recommendations for restaurants. I will definitely choose this place again on my next trip.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They recommended all the nearby eating spots. The location is very central and within walking distance of a number of restaurants and sites. The facilities are of a high standard and the breakfast was great.

Sehr gute Lage und liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft. Die Gastgeberin war ausgesprochen nett und herzlich. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und frisch. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit gerne wieder buchen.

A very short walk to restaurants and a very nice garden with a decent swimming pool.

If I was being fussy the bathroom towels could have been a bit bigger but they were adequate.

This was the best stay of my trip this time, the room was top quality, the hostess was very accommodating and told/booked me tables at the best places to eat, the breakfasts were delicious, and I will definitely be back again.

Estelle, our hostess,welcomed us warmly and reserved restaurants and advised us on what to do in Montagu. The pool surrounded by the vineyard, was stunning and heavenly, while still being centrally located. Beautiful breakfasts and garden as well as gorgeous home made clothes to buy! Within walking distance of restaurants, and easy to do a walking tour of Montagu. Estelle is very kind and helpful with ideas of what to do, and she creates an excellent breakfast. Rooms are very comfortable and set in pretty gardens overlooking their own vineyards. Safe parking. Slight noise of traffic but it’s not bad.

Wat een geweldig verblijf was dit met een ontzettend vriendelijke gastvrouw, We verbleven op 11 plekken in Zuid-Afrika, maar dit overtrof alles. Gezien we laat aankwamen, regelde de eigenaresse voor ons last minute nog een restaurant, super lief! Daarbij konden we laat op de avond voor een flesje wijn terecht en hadden we de volgende ochtend het lekkerste ontbijt ooit. Alles was tot in de details verzorgd en de kamer zag er verder ook tip top uit. Heerlijk bed, heerlijke douche en een mooi terras om lekker even te ontspannen. Een echte aanrader om even bij te komen en op te laden voor je vervolgreis!

Estelle ist eine wunderbare Gastheberin. Sehr zuvorkommend, immer im gepflegten Austausch mit den Gästen. Sie gibt sehr viel3 Tipps weiter, eb3nso Essensempfehlungen die auch den Tatsachen entsprechen. Das Country House ist super schön, hat einen tollen Pool. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet, jedes Zimmer hat eine Aussendusche, was einfach genial ist. Alle Zimmer blicken auf den hauseigenen Weinberg. Die PKW können aug dem Gelönde abgestellt werden und sind gesichert. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit hier und werden sicjerlich das nächste Mal wiederkommen. Vielen Dank an Estelle

We loved being close to the restaurants and the layout of the property with the pool next to the garden and vineyard. Loved Estelle’s hospitality and breakfasts - nothing was too much for her.

Estelle was a wonderful hostess and was so helpful and charming. We had the most wonderful room which had everything we needed, and comfortable bed with perfect lightweight bed covering rather than a duvet which is just too warm in the summer here. Breakfasts were amazing. Walk around town with ease, and good restaurants within few minutes walk. Lovely garden and pool.

The Vineyard Country House gave us a memorable multi-family stay. The owner, Estelle, was hands-on and present, and she made sure all our needs were met. The staff were warm and welcoming, and they created an easy, comfortable atmosphere for all. Breakfast was delicious and served in a charming dining area with a relaxed, inviting feel. The stunning gardens, mountains and wide-open spaces brought a sense of calm and rest. I think this location would suit a writers’ retreat or a creative getaway.
