Unique hotel in great location and friendly staff

The welcome on arrival was super sweet and nice. We were given a lot of information about the town's sites to visit, good restaurants and tips for our overall convenience.

That we only had booked one night and had to leave :-)

The room and the hotel were beautifully decorated capturing the essence of the old city. The staff was especially attentive and friendly.

The aircond broke down in the night that we have to change room.. i guess Spain summer was too much for the aircond unit to handle. The rooms are beautiful but are more suitable for couples not mother and son, as in one room, part of the toilet wall is see through.. and in the new room, the shower is j the middle of the room and only covered by a shower curtain. Had to ask my son to leave the room for me to use the shower.

It was a treat to stay right in the Juderia neighborhood at this excellent hotel. It is on a narrow, picturesque and historic street. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard and spectacular terrace, typical features of houses in this historic district of Córdoba. We bought a bottle of wine and a plate of jamón ibérico and enjoyed the sunset from the rooftop terrace. I really loved this hotel. Great service too!

Super freundlich, wir wurden herzlich empfangen und man hat uns erklärt, was es alles in Cordoba zu sehen gibt. Zimmer waren sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Altstadt gleich in der Nähe mit guten Restaurants am Fluss.

Hotel mitten in Cordoba, leider waren wir von der Stadt nicht angetan. Viel Leerstand und rund um das Hotel Abrisshäuser. Das Personal war super freundlich und hat uns gute Tipps gegeben. Frühstück war super lecker. Parken ist im 5 Gehminuten entfernten Parkhaus möglich, wo wir vorab schon die Infos bekommen haben.

Our room was the converted attic. Or as they call the Jr suite. Steep set of stairs to deal with. Decor was just weird. Giant sculpture made of bird cages and light bulbs hung over bed.

Een meer dan vriendelijk ontvangst door Youssuf met een homemade welkomstdrankje en schaaltje met zoetigheden. Uitgebreide uitleg over het hotel en de stad. Je parkeert om de hoek in de parkeergarage en loopt in 5 minuten naar het hotel. Vanuit het hotel loop je zo de oude stad in. Perfecte locatie: je hebt je auto niet meer nodig tijdens je bezoek aan Cordoba. De kamers zijn ruim, luxe en sfeervol. Heerlijk bed en douche. Fijne airconditioning. Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid met allemaal home made producten. Zowel buffet als a la carte.

Niets. En dat wil wat zeggen, want wij zijn behoorlijk kritisch.

Our room was a little “unconventional” with only a glass partition from the bathroom, so privacy was limited. Difficult for taxis to get there.

What a magnificent find this was! The hotel is beautiful and captures the feel of Cordoba and its history so well. We spent time on the delightful terrace enjoying a gorgeous sunset over the city’s rooftops. The staff are all great too! All around, Hotel Madinat rates 10/10.

Hotel Madinat is one of a kind . Excellent customer service. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds are comfortable. It’s few minutes walk to all the attractions. They anticipated all our needs and they reached out to us to arrange our car service via what’s up. Breakfast was excellent and the lemonade was home made! Love this little hotel!

Our stay at Hotel Madinat was truly unforgettable. The rooftop has one of the most breathtaking views in all of Córdoba, especially at sunset and in the evening. The staff were incredible — warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and always anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. The hotel is beautifully situated in the historic Jewish Quarter, which made exploring the city feel magical. Every detail of the hotel felt thoughtful, elegant, unique, and impeccably maintained. It has so much character while still feeling luxurious and comfortable. I would recommend Hotel Madinat 100%, and I truly hope to return one day.

Wonderful hotel, especially Yusuf who was very helpful in checking us in, and recommended where to go. Hotel was also lovely and provided us with the a great feel for Cordoba spirit. Only issues are that there was a leak in one of the faucets in the room that left a puddle on the floor

A fabulous two nights at this gem boutique hotel in the heart of Cordoba old town. The building has been very tastefully & sympathetically restored to retain its historical charm & character and we felt like we were stepping back in time while having the luxuries of a modern hotel. Our room had everything we needed & nice little touches from hotel included some ‘welcome’ chocolate truffles. Loved the rooftop terrace, where the excellent staff are happy to serve drinks & snacks. The breakfast was a high quality buffet. A shout out for Jorge who met us on arrival & gave us a great briefing on the city & the history of Hotel Madinat.

A beautiful, authentic Cordoban boutique hotel in the very heart of the city. This recently restored gem has only 12 rooms around a traditional open courtyard. Top personal service from lovely staff full of handy recommendations in the best hotel welcome I've ever had (fresh lemonade, snacks, welcome chat, bags to room). Breakfast in the pretty dining area is a delicious spread of the usual offerings plus Spanish cakes & pastries and freshly made specials. The rooftop terrace is a real bonus here and has 360 views and a drinks buzzer! Being an original building and so central means most rooms have a small courtyard /street view. That’s the bonus of the terrace for hanging out. Once you are here, it’s minutes to the major attractions & restaurants. Use the hotel to book taxi transfers (not pricey). Top room is Hamam suite with views - amazing place!

Location is excellent, staff is exceedingly kind and attentive.

I’ll preface this by saying the staff are fantastic here. Very helpful and kind. However the hotel k was not impressed with. I got a room on the main floor and it was interesting to say the least but what the kicker was this awful awful spray that was sprayed in the room. It was unbearable. So unbearable my throat and eyes started hurting and I had to sleep in my friends room instead. We tried keeping the windows open for a few hours and staff even gave me a fan and nothing worked. I came with 2 other friends who could smell the spray in their room but the smell was 90% less and bearable, I was not able to sleep in the room I paid for. I let staff know and unfortunately the hotel was full so I was stuck sleeping with my friend who graciously let me be in her room. The staff did comp my breakfast as an apology but at the end of the day I paid over 200 euros for a room I was not able to use. The location of the hotel is great and if you have a room on the second floor- they are much nicer. But I caution the bathrooms are literally in your bed. The toilet was maybe 5 inches away from my bed. I’m grateful this was a one night stay or I would have had to find anther hotel. Again staff was wonderful and kind. Not their fault.

The hotel was superb the staff could not do enough for you. The 12 room boutique hotel was a lovely old house (1850ish) owned by the Lord Mayor of Cordoba beautifully renovated and historic features maintained. The accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was superb. The location was perfect not far from the famous Mosque Cathedral a must visit.

This is a small, lovely, centrally located hotel which is beautiful and charming. The staff is welcoming and friendly as well as extremely helpful with information and recommendations. Could not have been more delighted by our stay there. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This was a very comfortable hotel located near all of the attractions we wanted to see. Staff helped recommend nice restaurants and they booked us at the Hammam around the corner. It was a very good breakfast and a comfortable dining room to start the day.

Wonderful small hotel in central location with all you need for a comfortable stay. Great service by the entire team. Enjoyed the rooftop deck. I didn’t sample the food but they had a full bar menu. Beds firm but comfortable.

Loves the look of the glass walled bathroom but from a sound perspective would have preferred a separate walled bathroom. Would like hair conditioner provided separate from shampoo. (Shampoo/conditioner combo was available.)

H Madinat was excellent in every way, but what truly set it apart was the staff. Kind, thoughtful, very helpful, consistent, thorough, just everything.

I chose Madinat to celebrate our anniversary based on reviews and design. From start to finish this hotel is both unique and very special. The photographs as good as they are don’t do it justice, in reality it’s even better. Our room was beautiful, the linens and towels were excellent quality. The amenities were excellent and the hotel left a gift in the room for us. Breakfast was amazing with a buffet AND an a la carte menu. The quality of all the food was 5*. We didn’t eat again until the evening. I can’t single out any member of staff for extra praise because every member of staff we met was absolutely lovely. I raised just one minor issue which was taken on board, real coffee should be supplied in the room, not instant coffee. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely return. Thank you everyone at Madinat.

It was a unique, very special hotel, with really nice people. Great location and good food (breakfast). And the two roof terraces were wonderful (and why I chose the hotel!)

1) The shower in my room was a shower in a big rectangular bathtub, and the shower curtain was on a metal semi-circular rod that wasn’t set far out enough so that it touched your body when you showered, which was really annoying. But the shower itself, both the overhead and hand-held, were great and with wonderful water pressure. 2) Although I loved the room I was not happy to have a wall of mirrors to see myself all the time! I found it disconcerting (and depressing 😂)

Old world charm. Staff is exceptional. Made every effort to make us comfortable. During check-in took time to review the main sites on a map. Bed and rooms were very clean and comfortable. Rooftop terrace has a great view. Location is easy walk to all main sites.

Service and kindness was outstanding. We have never had a more hospitable stay in decades of international travel. They went well beyond what we could have ever expected.

The staff here are fantastic . So charming and helpful . Breakfast was the best choice we had in Andalusia . The Sobrasado on toast is delicious . You can even have churro and chocolate . Buffet choice also excellent and their freshly squeezed orange juice is divine . In a great location . Only missing element for me was the furnishing in the room . Only one bedside table ? Lack of surfaces and storage and though the vintage mirrors fitted the aesthetic - they aren’t fit for purpose . The old door as headboard was not comfortable and there was a lot of noise from guests returning at night when staying on the ground floor . Nice view from the roof terrace . Expensive but lovely on the whole

This hotel is very well located in the historic area and near to main sights, yet it was quiet amongst a bustling city. Recommend getting a taxi from bus/train station (8 euros). We booked the hotel transfer on the return to the bus station, which was 18 euros (as it was presented as a little tricky for them to arrange a taxi to come near to the hotel for pick up). The outstanding aspect of our stay was the breakfast- buffet options as well as ‘to order’. The food is of high quality and varied treats on offer. Hotel has a small roof terrace. Beautiful patio area at reception. On arrival we were greeted with a complimentary drink and good advice on places to go/eat. It is recommended to book ahead if you are in Cordoba at weekends as restaurants are very busy - the hotel can assist. The room was on ground floor (not sure how quiet it would be if guests chose to sit in the patio area, but for us it was quiet). We did not book an accessible room, but this is what we were given. Wet room shower which needs some attention as the water did not drain well and nearly flowed into the wider bathroom; standing in water 2cm deep. Kettle needs replacing as exposed wires. Whilst I accept the hotel promotes its character, the quirkiness led to some poor aspects for general hotel comfort - lack of surface space, such as to put personal items and toiletries; lack of shelves/drawers for clothes. One side of the bed had only a chair and no bedside table, which was tricky for a cup of tea or alarm clock etc! There was unfortunately a strange and slightly unpleasant smell at one side of the room. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff were attentive and very friendly. The housekeeping was excellent. Overall, great location and excellent breakfast recommends this hotel

It's no surprise that this is the highest rated hotel in Cordoba. We were treated royally throughout our stay. Our room (Albolafia) was great, Sunken bath on one side of the room, plenty of room for living. Nice lobby. Breakfast is worth the price. Buy it. The roof top sitting area is very nice. This hotel is tucked away in a neighborhood with narrow streets. Don't drive there. The hotel will arrange a cab from the train station. Enjoy the cab driver navigating the narrow passages and pedestrians scattering. It's about a ten minute walk to the main tourist area Nice restaurants are even closer.

This is a very charming little hotel in the historic center of Cordoba. Very unique style. All rooms are different. The hotel is full of little details that makes you feel at home. Breakfast is very good too. The only downside is the paid parking around 300 meters away. Ask for a room not facing the narrow street. Recommended.
