It’s very clean, my room was at the 3th floor and amazingly bright and quiet, very good location in the center of Thamel, very friendly staff, roof top terrace and free water! The bathroom with hot shower was just across my room (shared bathroom). I can definitely recommend this place. See you again!

The property wasn’t very clean, we had a few cockroaches during our one night stay, the squat toilet was very smelly and wouldn’t use the shower.

Reviewed Jun 7, 2026The owner is really helpful with helping us book a taxi whenever we need it. And he made sure we got on the taxi. The room is in the central of the shopping district in Thamel, very convenient. They also allowed us to store our luggage after check out while we shop before our flight.
The room and toilet are rather old and a bit moldy.

Reviewed May 1, 2026最初に3泊、ポカラ帰ってから追加でもう1泊しました！ 最初に3泊したツインのお部屋は広くて清潔でめちゃくちゃ快適でした！ 石鹸のアメニティもついていてめちゃくちゃ助かります。 21:30ごろまでは温水が出ますが、夜遅くだと温水が出なくなるので注意です。 追加で一泊したダブルのお部屋はツインのお部屋よりかは狭くて綺麗ではですがまあまあ◎不便なく滞在できました！ スタッフさんとっても親切でフレンドリーなので楽しく過ごせました。 また、屋上がついていて気持ちがいいです。 Wi-Fiも早くて快適でした！

Reviewed Apr 26, 2026I booked 2 nights and eventually stayed 4 nights . The hotel is perfectly located in Thamel. The room is wide, WiFi is working, there is hot water and the personnel is really helpful. Only 20 minutes by taxi from the Katmandu International airport. From the hotel, the main tourist sites of Katmandu are easily reachable (everything can be done walking). Note : I also went to Baktapur for 1 day trip using the local bus and really recommending it to for everyone who likes cultural heritage. Note: to hotel is located at the end of a narrow street - so at night this is very quiet even though we are at the center of Katmandu! Note 2: Love also the rooftop ! Perfect for chill out I will definitely come back to Sweet Dreams whenever I am back in Katmandu

Reviewed Mar 2, 2026I personally like nothing about the hotel. There is only one staff, who is irresponsible and non-cooperative. Asked him to bring towel and flipflops. Which he took one full day to respond and I have to bring them by myself.
If the owner of the hotel is seeing this, please change your staff. Hello keeps on sleeping whole day and night. Good for nothing. No service. Other hotels in the area is good. But this hotel I had the worst experience. And so my plan was to stay a week but I stayed just two days.

The room was nice, there was hot water, the wifi worked great, the location was perfect and the family that runs this hotel are super nice people. And that for a very low price. When i come back to Kathmandu, i will definitely come back to Hotel Sweet Dreams. 😁
