The hostel was super clean and comfy, the rooftop is really cosy and the personnal was nice. Special big up to Karan who was adorable Definitely recommend it, perfect place to meet people

I had a really great experience staying at this hostel. The location was perfect and very convenient for exploring the area. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They also have a travel desk that organizes different treks and tours around Nepal, which was very convenient. I booked my trek through them, and everything was well organized from start to finish. I really enjoyed the trek and had a great experience overall. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Nepal, especially if you are also planning to do a trek or tour. Overall, a great stay and a great experience.

Pleasant stay, with nice staff and basic but clean facilities befitting of the relatively low price. Attractive rooftop terrace and tasty chilli momos.

タメル地区内という大変便利な立地にあること。 また、常駐しているスタッフも仕事熱心であらゆる相談に対応してくれた。

チェックイン時に入念にベッドや枕を確認したものの、最終日に南京虫に両足数十箇所刺され、痛みと痒みでほとんど寝れなかった。 スタッフに相談して別ベッドに移動させてもらった。 値段や立地、スタッフが良かっただけに残念。

I booked this property for my girlfriend and she is really happy with the service. Helpful and friendly staffs, good food, nice rooftop, everything neat and clean. One day if i have a chance visit Nepal I will go to Rest Up Kathmandu

各种条件设施非常棒，老板对我特别好同时发现我有不舒服也及时送我去医院，出国在外一个人也不知道哪里找到医院也没人帮助 当时在厕所吐了一会就有人来帮助我了，特别感动，所有人都这么棒，这里一切环境都特别好，我也交到了许多朋友，很难忘记的一段时光

Not having lift

The staff were brilliant! The hostel was clean, the bed was comfy, and the terrace was absolutely great to hang out. The restaurant is very good and the prices are fine. The location is very convenient, I absolutely recommend it for solo female travelers, I felt very safe there!

В этом хостеле прекрасно всё! Особенное спасибо персоналу, который был очень внимательным! Очень здорово, что в хостеле можно заказать и завтрак, и обед, и ужин. Еда - свежеприготовленная, вкусная! И потрясающая терасса, с видом на весь Катманду, на горы, на монастырь и храм обезьян. Красота. Кстати, стирку одежды берет на себя прачечная за очень скромную сумму, стирают замечательно. Нужно только сдать пакет с грязными вещами на ресепшене, и через 24 часа Вам их вернут чистыми и красиво сложенными.

Кровать была немного короткая (в общей комнате). Если кто-то выше 174 см, то будет впритык. Но кровати в индивидуальных комнатах, судя по виду, более длинные.

Very friendly staff, always there to help. Secure and very budget-friendly. The location is in the heart of Thamel, so everything is nearby. I enjoyed my stay.

Should have a ceiling fan. A pedestal fan was available on request, but plugging it into the sockets was a hassle. The hostel also doesn't have AC. But still the hostel was worth it.

the staff was very friendly and willing to help. Also the cleaning staff did a very good job :) The vibe in this hostel was also very nice, people talked to esch other and you got to know very nice and interesting people. The rooftop area is just adorable.

the taxi prices they are offering are just not reasonable

I always ended up coming back to this hostel whenever I was in Kathmandu. The location is great, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooftop is the perfect spot to meet other travelers, chill and enjoy the views. The rooftop restaurant serves amazing coffee and food as well. The whole hostel has such a warm, social, and welcoming vibe that it’s hard not to love it, I miss it already. I also organized my trek through the hostel, and it was an amazing experience. Definitely my favorite place to stay in Kathmandu!

The rooftop restaurant is comfortable and chilling. Food there is good too. Perfect location. Staffs are so helpful.

I stayed at this hostel both before and after my trek and it’s probably the best place to be if you’re a solo backpacker! The rooms are clean, food at the restaurant delicious and cheap, and the rooftop area is a great place to meet other travelers. Staff always goes far and beyond to help me out (thank you Karan!). Overally 10/10, would totally stay there again

The rooftop is really nice to chill and comfortable! The staff members are really lovely! The location is in the centre.

The bathrooms were honestly not really clean, especially the toilets!! It was sometimes too loud in the evening, the music was too loud. There is no shelves or lockers in the room at all, to put some stuff. It was totally fine for a couple of days, but still next time I would probably choose a different place to stay.

I really enjoyed staying here. The location was in central Thamel. My room was nice and clean. Loads of cool murals on the walls. The rooftop area was funky and had nice views and a bar and restaurant. Food served at the restaurant was delicious. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

-dorms rooms are large with plenty of space for your things and they have windows for good air flow -rooftop is great space to chill all day if you want and there is a restaurant where you can order food -staff is very friendly and helpful -they offer trekking at a good price and you can leave your things there while you trek

All good. I stayed there many times during my 2 months in Nepal

I loved my stay here! The location is perfect (in the heart of Thamel, but the rooms aren’t too noisy), bathroom and rooms were regularly cleaned and there’s a cool terrace where you can meet other travelers. There’s also a restaurant at the terrace where I ate multiple times and everything was tasty and very reasonably priced. The staff both at the restaurant and reception was very kind and helpful (special shoutout to Karan!) and made me feel welcome. If I came back to Kathmandu, I would stay here again.

The sleep in the dorms is very quiet (except for the highest floor, where dorms are adjacent to the restaurant). The beds are comfortable. They have clothing donation box, and there are lots of buddhist/hinduism paintings, which is definitely a "go" for me. Good place. Namaste!

The dorm beds are comfortable yes, but they are not very private, and they are not comfortable for working on your laptop... But it's kinda personal preference. For a hostel, again, it's very good.

I absolutely loved my stay at Rest Up Hostel. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful—they make everything so easy, from planning your travel to booking buses for Pokhara or anywhere else. You really don’t have to worry about anything. It’s also a great place to meet new people and share travel stories. My favorite spot has to be the rooftop—such a perfect vibe!
