Pelican's Nest Holiday Home St Lucia

Very good location. We felt safe all the time and could easily reach restaurants and amenities. The instructions to check in were clear and the cleaning service was optimal.

DvDs were provided as an entrainment service for the guests, so we were quite puzzled when we found out that the whole selection had a religious theme. We also advise the property to check on the first aid kit, as some medicines therein have expired - this is a piece of equipment that should be ready to use in case of emergency.

Een mooi huis op een super locatie, rustig gelegen maar op loopafstand van winkels en restaurants. Huis is brandschoon. Prachtige tuin met eigen zwembadje, keurig onderhouden door de tuinman die dagelijks rondloopt.

Inrichting woonkamer en keuken wat gedateerd, maar voldoet, en eenpersoonsbedden wat klein. In de communicatie met Bianca hadden we wat misverstanden over schoonmaak en de wasmachine die kapot bleek te zijn, maar ze reageert snel en heeft direct een oplossing voorgesteld.

Lovely accommodation, the hosts have thought of everything. The house is walking distance from the city centre and even though it was winter, the kids went swimming every day.

Lovely home away from home. Spotlessly clean and well maintained, and the hosts are helpful and responsive. Wonderful to sit on the patio and watch the birds, we saw bush babies one evening in the trees. Conveniently located close to the shops/restaurants. Highly recommend.

Een fantastisch vakantiehuis met veel ruimte, comfortabele bedden (160x200 cm) en een ruime en goed uitgeruste keuken. Alles was brandschoon en de inrichting, waaronder de badkamers waren zeer comfortabel. Het huis ligt in een villawijk, is wat hoger gelegen en biedt daardoor veel rust en privacy. Buiten kun je heerlijk zitten onder een overkapping en het zwembad is ruim en is door een schoonmaak systeem steeds brandschoon. Rondom het zwembad zijn ligstoelen met dikke kussens. Helemaal Top! Op loopafstand zijn twee grote supermarkten, vele winkels en zeer goede restaurants. De zee met een geweldig groot strand bevindt zich op nog geen 10 minuten rijden. Wifi ist nicht das schnellste.

Excellente présentation , excellente situation. On a vraiment la sensation d'être en vacances. Le personnel qui est au petit soin, très gentil et très serviable. L'hôte est très réactif. La piscine est top, jeux pour enfants à l'arrière de la maison. Nos 3 enfants étaient aux anges 👌

Wow, this holiday home was spectacular 🙌 Definitely exceeded my expectations, the pictures are exactly what you get. Its a beautiful family home which felt like a home away from home. Bianca and Karel have thought about every little detail to make this amazing home comfortable for their guests. Thank you so much, we loved our stay, though it was short. We will definitely be back and we will recommend this home to family and friends. The helper is also such a pleasant lady. Wished we stayed longer. Thank you again 💓

Le seul point négatif pour moi à été la machine à laver, très ancienne qui ne lave pas très bien le linge, mais ce n'est qu'un détail.

Ruime villa in een zeer mooie buurt. Alle kamers waren zeer net en tof ingericht. Communicatie en richtlijnen met de host Karel en Bianca verliep vlot (belangrijk want de poort moest toe om ongewenst bezoek van de nijlpaarden te voorkomen ;-). Huis is voorzien van een alarm installatie. Wanneer we die per ongelijk activeerden kwam er onmiddellijk een security guy checken. Dus veilig is het zeker !

Wat een prachtig huis op een prachtige locatie. Het huis ligt ietsjes hoger, waardoor je veel privacy hebt. Het huis heeft echt alles wat je je maar kan bedenken. We hebben genoten. Super vriendelijk personeel.

Everything! Even before we arrived, Biana was a helpful and friendly host. She made every effort to make sure we could make the most of our stay. Sending us information about the area, including things to see and do. We arrived way too early, but Thuli and the other staff member made us feel welcome. The facilities are above and beyond. Bianca and Karel have really thought about everything a guest could need. The house was spotlessly cleaned and ready for us when we returned at the regular check-in time. We would definitely love to come back and stay longer! I would 100% recommend Pelican's Nest to any friends or family wanting to visit St. Lucia or the area! Thank you for being such gracious hosts.

Great house with superb staff. The house has a nice garden, a pool (not heated) and a fire pit plus braai. It has a covered patio, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a double garage. The house is very secure. Everything is in perfect shape, well maintained and cleaned daily. Close to town and just across the street is a small park where the hippo’s graze at night! St Lucia is a charming small town with nice restaurants and plenty of activities. Go for a self drive in the iSimangaloso wetland park, a guided night drive, a whale cruise or a hippo cruise. We would definitely go back!

Pelican' nest is truly a home away from home. It is family friendly with play areas for the kiddies. Karel and Bianca together with their team keep the place immaculate!

The house was big and beautifully furnished with all the amenities we needed and more. The solar power was amazing given the storms and power outages. The pool and pool deck were amazing. The gardener and maid were always available and so friendly and engaging. Bianca was the perfect host and responded so quickly to questions etc. Be sure to close the driveway gates, last night there were 3 hippos munching on the lawn opposite, fantastic.

Very comfortable, well appointed, house a sort walk from St Lucia shops and attractions. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Main shower could be better. Would be great if it could be renovated like the ensuite. Electric gates would also be very helpful.

It is nice, clean, has enough room for two families. We loved the fact that everything you need is there. It is self catering and has a daily housekeeper and gardener. The location is very close to town within walking distance to town. We all felt very safe at this property. It is in a very quiet neighborhood with no distractions or disturbances.

Very clean, comfortable furniture, nice grounds, very friendly staff. Very quick and helpful communication with the owners when needed.

A twin tub washer rather than automatic and the TV connection would fail every 45 mins for about 2-3 mins before coming back.

The house was absolutely beautiful and had everything we could possibly have needed. The host, Bianca, was really attentive and kept checking in to make sure that we were comfortable and having a good time.

It was really cold during our stay and we could not enjoy the pool.

Great house with lots of space, comfortable beds and a huge kitchen. I've never had such a well equiped kitchen in any holiday accommodation. The house is located right in the middle of the town center and the pool is nice too

how clean it was, if I was into cooking for myself this place would suit the bill as you have everything there to help. bed was super comfortable . the shower was awesome, lovely dipping pool perfect at the end off a hot day exploring. I put my dirty washing in the machine intending to do later but the daily maid surprised me by the time I got back all washed and folded wow that is service. Wi-Fi is great and no load shedding as the owner has her own energy.

for me everything was perfect but if you have a family who needs to charge phones iPads etc there is a lack off sockets. but please it’s only a small gripe .

the house is perfect, independent, walking distance from the little town, the pool is perfect for young kids (6 and 7). Bianca was checking on us genuinely to see if we would have need anything. the house is clean : very very nice time there

I won’t remove any star for it because that is nothing to do with the house and the owner but every day and every night we had power cut because South Africa experience power shortages. so it’s more a comment about St Lucia. But the house has its own generator and Bianca was sending us the schedule of the cut every day.

Wifi was disappointing as only 1 device could be connected at a time and the wifi was available only in the lounge area. The main bedroom bathroom does not work properly. However a good and reasonable stay for families and close to all of the restaurants and entertainment.

Good location and very clean. Kitchen very well equipped. Main bathroom shower a bit dodgey. Good value for money and outdoor area would be nice in the summer.
