Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Very clean room, and the shared bathroom was also very clean wherever I needed to use it. There were also shared kitchen facilities, although I didn't use those during my visit. Breakfast was basic but adequate and there is a separate allergy section with gluten free options. The location is very quiet and picturesque - especially with my mountain view room, and I enjoyed an early morning hike up to Grefsenkollen for even more scenic views. Although the location is set quite far out from Oslo city centre, public transport is very frequent and easy to navigate, so I didn't find this to be a problem.
When I booked, it wasn't immediately obvious that the bathroom facilities were shared. Had I realised, I'd have paid a little extra for a private bathroom. Having said that, the shared facilities were always very clean.

Kamer is schoon en ruim maar erg basic (maar prima voor zn prijs in Noorwegen). Wifi is redelijk goed, hapert wel een beetje.

Got a double single bed room when we paid for twin bed, the staff said they do not have any twin beds but Booking.com says so. Elevator did not work & our bathroom was super smelly (piss). I guess this is the lower standard for Norway but for us being from central europe, the price was quite high for what we got.

Reviewed Jun 5, 2026The room is spacious, clean and has good wardropes. The staff is extremely friendly. It was possible to borrow a hairdryer and also an iron and ironing board. The breakfast is good. The view from the dining room and the room as well is fabulous.
The walk from the bus is very steep so it's not for people with mobilty issues, but it wasn't a problem for us. Just to mention that there were no hangers in the closets, we didn't ask about it since we were only staying for two nights.

It was great that the hostel provided towels but maybe could have supplied a shower mat to prevent slipping..just a minor thing!

Il n'est pas indiqué sur l'annonce qu'il s'agit d'un centre pour étudiants. Petit déjeuner médiocre (comme à la cantine). Chambres étudiantes... très excentré et isolé (8,5 km du centre) ! Heureusement nous avions les vélos mais attention ça monte pour le retour à l'hôtel.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2025Sehr freundliches Personal, ein sehr sauberes Hostel. Ich war überrascht, da ich sonst immer ein Hotels oder Ferienwohnung übernachtet. Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
Frühstück gab es nur bis 9:30 Uhr. Aber das ist vielleicht für ein Hostel normal.
