Reviewed Sep 16, 2026Unfortunately, our stay at HI Oslo Haraldsheim was a disappointing experience. We were glad that we only stayed for one night. The beds were uncomfortable and quite noisy, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. This was particularly disappointing after a long day of travelling. The breakfast was another weak point. The selection was very limited and lacked variety compared with other hotels and accommodations we stayed at during our trip. The main positive aspect was the reception staff, who were friendly, welcoming, and helpful during our stay. Overall, the friendly staff were the main highlight, but the uncomfortable and noisy beds, combined with the limited breakfast, made our stay less enjoyable than expected.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2026One of the best hostels I've been in my life. It was very clean and comfortable and I completely recommend it. The staff were even better, so kind, friendly and helpful, especially the guys on the reception, who let me stay extra night hours in the lobby on a cold day while I waited for my flight transfer. They even offered me free food, coffee and juice while I stayed there. I felt so welcomed and appreciated there because of their good nature and next time I'm in Oslo I will definitely come back to stay at the HI Oslo Haraldsheim! Big thanks to them! 🙏 Best regards!

Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Excelente atención al cliente en la recepción. El desayuno está muy bueno, hay también la cocina libre donde se puede preparar la comida para uno mismo.
Las duchas de mujeres tienen las puertas sin pestillo, por lo que es un poco incomodo ducharse. También los armarios en las habitaciones de seis camas no tienen cierres individuales y hay que dejar las cosas tal cual confiando en los demás con quién compartas la habitación.

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Alles was gewoon prima in orde. Het is fijn dat er een grote keuken is. Gezellig om daar te koken en eten. Het personeel is heel behulpzaam.
Het bed was ok, maar had niet echt vering erin (metalen bak). Het is wat verder van het centrum. Je moet de metro nemen. Zelf vond ik dat geen probleem. Oslo is verder goed te voet te doen.

With name initially we didn't find it's a hostel. So it was our first ever experience living in a hostel having only bunk beds and shared bathroom toilets. So that was a bit shock for us. Anyway for a hostel it was good but as we were looking forward a hotel room.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Le personnel est super , dès l’arrivée on nous donne serviette et linge de lit , il y a le wifi et petit déjeuner inclu qui est varié (pain, céréales , beurre , confiture, tomates, eau avec du sirop, œuf, tomates , salade…) , dans les couloirs il y a plusieurs toilettes , et plusieurs douches qui se ferment à clés , il y a une mini boutique et de quoi acheter des souvenirs à l’accueil et il y a une cuisine collective 48€ ça reste passable
Dans la chambre ce n’etait pas très propre il y avait de la poussières et des résidus par terre… puis pourquoi mettre deux chaises dans les dortoirs femmes alors que la chambre est petite , il y a 6 lits qui doivent être déployés il y a donc pas de place pour 2 grandes chaises dans la chambre… il y a un mini robinet et lavabo dans la chambre dommage qu’il y a pas une pompe à savon et une petite serviette de quoi se sécher les mains… les dortoirs c’est assez spéciales surtout quand les filles déposent leur affaire à 23h… la cuisine collectif est vraiment sale quand tout le monde décide de se faire à manger , les gens nettoient mal la vaisselle du coup ça fait assez cracra surtout quand tu cherches juste un bol , le matin aussi pour le petit dej c’est un peu le bazar

La colazione un po’ basica e la sala colazione molto caotica. Essendo un ostello non tutte le stanza hanno il bagno in camera. Devo dire che i servizi igienici e le docce li ho sempre trovati puliti. Insonorizzazione delle camere assolutamente insufficiente. Il vicino di camera ha deciso di telefonare alle 3 di notte e finché non ha smesso di telefonare non si è dormito nonostante non stesse gridando. Il letto della stanza accanto cigolava ad ogni movimento del vicino di stanza .

It was quite noisy at times. When I asked the reception for help with the noise, staff pushed the responsibility onto me and suggested I go tell the other guests to be quiet myself. Maintaining order and a peaceful environment is the staff's job, not the guests'

What I don’t like is there is no bath soap and shampoo provided. I was not able to take shower coz there are no soap/shampoo for sale on the counter.

For the price i was expecting more, like towel and bad sheet you must take yourself at reception and you must make bad yourself. In room have nothing so bring even cups for water.
