Mercure Jayapura

The hotel manager was very welcoming and attentive to my needs. He provided all the necessary information about the hotel and answered all my questions. The care was genuine and the welcome was warm. The restaurant served good options and everything was freshly made. The service was very good.

Close to Government office and the view from room was amazing.

It is not the best hotel that I ever stayed but it offers excellent value for money, even compared with others in the same area. The environment is safe, but traffic is crazy. The staff is very friendly helpful.

Even the superior rooms are tiny and don't really offer a great working place. This is a pity and is actually the only downside of the hotel.

I had a great time staying at Mercure Hotel Jayapura, and I just want to say a big thank you to the amazing team there. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. Huge thanks to Pak Andreas and the whole team for taking such good care of me. You were all so friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I would also like to extend my appreciation to Pak Kusni and the F&B team as well as the Housekeeping team. And of course, Ibu Linda and Pak Ogit at the reception were fantastic. Super friendly, always ready to help, and made everything feel easy and smooth. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The hospitality here is something else—super warm, super genuine. Very nice hotel, modern and clean. The king room was very nice, spacious and well appointed. The staff was exceptional, and eager to accommodate. Everyone was very friendly.

I had a wonderful stay here. First of all, the manager was kind enough to let me use storage facilities, internet access, and workspace even without booking a room. Then, when I did need a room, I was very pleased to stay here. The rooms are comfy and quiet. The staff is the kindest you'll ever meet. Breakfast is excellent, it has plenty of vegetarian and even some vegan option. Some of the cuisine comes specifically from various regions of Indonesia. At the bar there's live music in the evening. The only thing that could be improved is not to have windows that can be opened - or windows at all. The quality was excellent.and the price was very affordable.

Couldn’t say much a part from warm and smile front desk staffs.

Last minute booking, stayed over night, didn’t provide hand soap, shower was not power powerful, wasn’t that hot(rather warm), mould was visible around the sink.

We really liked Jayapura and the hotel is in a very central and convenient location. Rooms are big, clean, and comfortable.

Good experience staying here. Very convenient as it allows early check in since my flight arrived early. Also located conveniently close to my business meeting destination. Surrounded by local food stalls as well, so it's easy to find some snacks and food.

Nice hotel, in the middle of Jayapura city. The staff so helpful…😊😊, renovations still on going but didn’t disturb at all. The sign 🪧 in the each floor need to be completed. They give us some of mineral water dispensers, in each floor, Easy to refill our water bottles.

The new look upgrade looks really good,there is always a friendly staff to assist, the food tastes really good and always filling enough to have seconds ,the location is perfect with all amenities nearby. I always choose mecure when in jayapura

Good food, excellent reception,nice furnished room and kind staff. One thing the wifi is bit slow. All other things are excellent. The bath rooms are good but the washing area is bit small. The Tv is good but if it’s a smart tv will be great. All other things are good.

The room was good and bathroom likewise - just what I would expect from the Mercure brand. Front desk staff very helpful, though over attentive “service” by other lobby staff became quickly irritating. Very good location for good restaurants and especially good coffee shop near the mosque.

For a Mercure the local management standards were poor: TV signal not clear (antenna problem) and only one small and poor quality towel provided. When I complained the staff resolved the issues (though TV image still poor) but these things are basic if the housekeeping routine is properly checked. Also they had run out of many local dishes at breakfast more than half an hour before service ended. Again clearly no local management discipline checking and refilling.

Everything was one word to describe: EXCELLENT

The second night of my stay, they did fogging at 10.30 pm, that caused me trouble to breath because the fumes got into my room. The staff did nothing when being informed that i was in the trouble because of the fogging.The staffs are not properly trained to handle the emergency. I should ask them to take me to the hospital. Other than that, the hotel is great.

We had booked our transfer from the airport to the hotel, but the taxi never arrived. However, this might be due to the delay of our arrival due to the weather conditions.

The location

My booking is breakfast included but was told at the hotel that my booking is breakfast excluded and i have to pay extra for the breakfast. My room totally can't access to the wifi with the notification "network access denied". The IT personnel was also unable to solve the problem and i was force to always sit at the lobby for the internet.

The room was of an excellent quality, clean, and neat. Just a perfect setting. The staff was knowledgeable and reliable. Promises made for held. I asked for a taxi at 5:30 in the morning, and it was there right on time. I am very pleased with the professional attitude of the house

Quality hotel with all the trimmings you would expect at this level. Reception was quick and professional. The room was modern and spacious. In particular I liked the furniture, just comfortable and not for show. Breakfast was simply amazing, you wouldn't get a buffet lunch as good, such was the variety.

Wifi wasn't up to standard. About 40 minutes from the airport, not suitable as a one night stopover. Jayapura is not a particularly nice place unless you have business there. Couldn't fault the hotel otherwise

The friendly staff and the breakfast.. and most conveniently was the location. The hotel is situated right opposite the night markets.

Didn’t like that the towels were old and need replacement. I didn’t enjoy the massage coz the therapist kept talking throughout the whole session and burping every now and then. Very distrusting… I was not aware that the massage is done by room service abs got the shock of my life.
