… le camere si affacciano ( ingresso e l’unica finestra) direttamente senza alcuno spazio di salvaguardia sulle aree comuni attrezzate a lettini per il sole. Manca quindi totalmente la sensazione di privacy (“dall’esterno non vi vedono nella camera SE NON ACCENDETE LE LUCI”). La nostra camera poi infelicemente incastrata fra la cucina e i suoi fumi e il dehor del ristorante. Un peccato mortale dover tener chiuse le finestre affacciandosi sull’oceano. Non mi sembra accettabile per una struttura di questo standard ( ben riflesso nel prezzo).

The Villa is an exceptional stand-alone property, with a lovely common area, it’s own garden/terrace and pool-with-view The master suite is extremely large, comfortable with remarkable balcony views The “super host” staff are well trained and helpful The breakfast options suited us very well — great food and great setting

A few teething issues around the villa and staff Also, while none of this except hours was an issue for us, White’s intimate size brings some constraints: shorter food hours; shorter menus; common facilities all lovely but necessarily more limited than in a big property)

The location, room, restaurant, yoga area - all delightful. The infinity pool is quite enchanting.

Amazing location facing the sea. The room had a beautiful view, and the heated infinity swimming pool made such a difference. The minimalist design brought a calm and quiet energy to the hotel.

This small boutique hotel was exceptional from the moment you arrive until you left. They take care of the finer touches to make your stay pleasant. The afternoon, tea and sleep ritual was most enjoyable. We had a unique that was once a wine cellar. The infinity pool was most welcoming as was the hot tub. There’s a nice outdoor covered seating area as well. The staff are amazing and very accommodating.

This place was unprofessional. A few days before I arrived I was emailed to say my booking was no longer available for the 5 days that I booked and they gave me the only option to move my stay to a different property on the opposite end of the island for half my stay. This was a huge inconvenience and not what I had booked for. The way the accommodation is presented in the photos does not live up to the real life experience. It seems run down and tired and the food was terrible. I made this booking through Booking.com and this was a huge mistake. Booking.com did nothing useful to assist me to find a resolution.

The view was wonderful. They had a small room that was used for massages and yoga which was lovely and the breakfasts were good - it was nice to be able to sit outside and dine.

The staff tried to be helpful but was always a step behind. This did not feel like a 5-star hotel on the service front. Also, the bathroom was super small and quite dark. The only mirror was above the single sink in-between two walls at the end of the narrow bathroom - no counter space and the floor beneath the sink kept flooding. Several things in our room didn't work and by the time any of it was fixed, we were leaving.

Singular's White property is absolutely beautiful, including the views and pool, and our guest room was unique and quiet, and had a very very comfortable bed (and we also got the room with the big tub - which was special!). The staff is truly excellent; they accomodated us on any special requests and provided great recommendations. The food was tremendous, both at the White property and its sister SB resort (compliments to the chef!), as were the friendly and hard-working servers (particularly at White, where we stayed). The location of White is convenient to many attractions via short car rides, so we recommend renting your own car (which we did and loved the experience and freedom) or otherwise coming prepared to pay for all of your rides around the island (i would note that there were a couple of beaches close to White which may have been walkable, but we did not visit them ourselves since beaches were not on our agenda - however, if you prefer a beach on location, you could check out the sister SB resort). The only ding I can think of is that there were a few dead insects found in our room throughout the stay; this was not an issue for us personally - since they were dead and we understand the reality of them being from SC, USA - but it is possible that a particularly demanding guest might whine about it. Thanks to everyone at the White who made our stay so special!

Location: Fantastic. Cleanliness: Room for improvement. I wont go into the details - but they will be hopefully fixing it. Meals: A little inflexible on the menu. I dont think meals are prepared onsite. Staff: Many staff members were great.

There was an issue in our rooms - but the property will try to fix it. Additionally, the suites are very noisy if other guests decide to have drink at the fireplace (which is their right). You can hear guests in the other room above the suite.

Very private. The staff was great. Loved the yoga space.

Our ‘suite’ was dark, dismal and uncomfortable. It had no door to the bathroom - just a curtain.The toilet leaked. Hot water took 10 mins to arrive to the shower. No comfortable chairs. Extreme minimalism. We called it the dungeon. Food was OK but limited choices. We tried to eat out but very poor restaurants nearby.

Great location with beautiful views and a very friendly staff. Sarah, Hugo and Joao were great! We enjoyed the intimacy of this hotel.

The hotel is in a quiet yet convenient location to explore the island of San Miguel. There is a lovely infinity pool and patio area with opportunities for outdoor dining while listening to the crashing waves below. We were able to reserve a secluded jacuzzi which was a relaxing way to end our day of exploring the island. Joao was extremely helpful in giving us information and directions of where to go on the island, how to park and activities available.

The hotel advertises itself as eco friendly but we felt like a lot of the design issues were more for show than for comfort. The cost of a nights stay was steep and because of this we had expectations similar to other hotels we have stayed at with similar costs. Our room was quite large which was appreciated but it faced an unattractive building and was located above the fan units for the hotel. Our biggest issue was that none of the staff seemed to be enjoying their work and made us feel as though our presence was a burden (with the exception of Andrea at breakfast). And lastly at no other place in Portugal was a tip included before asking if and how much we wanted to tip. This hotel got many glowing reviews but it just wasn't what we were hoping for.

The view was amazing! That said, it was the staff that made our stay so very special. They are amazing (welcoming, warm, personable, professional, attentive and responsive). The staff is the number one asset at Whites!

Beautiful ocean front property. We enjoyed being outside of Ponte Delgado as it wasn’t so busy. I’d recommend renting a car. Would highly recommend and will look forward to returning.

The property was beautiful. The staff was helpful and so kind. We loved the reservable private hot tub and enjoyed relaxing in our room while we watched and listened to the ocean. The dinner was so delicious.

The bed was a bit too hard and the door knobs are difficult to manage. But they were minor inconveniences.

Food was subpar, so we opted to go out to eat most of the time. Normally this would be a dealbreaker, but everything else was so fantastic it was worth it.

A lovely small complex where the staff are very friendly and are very helpful. They provide advice and information to get the best out of your visit. The location was quiet though still close to Ponta Delgada. It is right on the sea front with great views out to see. The room was spacious and the breakfast delicious. Sao Miguel is a beautiful island with many great locations to visit.

This is an exceptional location with stunning views. The staff is very attentive, the service is excellent and the food is outstanding including a beautiful breakfast menu. The property is very easy to get to and from with plenty of free parking. We would highly recommend this venue and hope to be back ourselves.

We had an amazing stay at White from Jan 31st to Feb 4th. The service was excellent. We were provided with a mobile phone to communicate with the hotel staff when off the property. The included breakfasts were delicious. The ocean view from our room was stunning and the sound of the waves had us very relaxed.

The staff was lovely! The day manager was always kind and he had the best recommendations. Would come back in a heartbeat, what a stunning property.

unfortunately a few things we didn’t like. The room was very dark as there is only one light above the table and two lights on the bed’s sides, and we had to use the flashlights to read. Also, the hotel is advertised as the adult only hotel, but family with younger children stayed above us and disturbed our sleep.

Amazing view from the hotel, you can see and hear the waves from the ocean in your room, which is an amazing experience. Breakfast was tasty and staff was friendly and incredibly helpful in arranging excursions.

Breakfast choices were limited, as were vegetarian dinner options (just one main course). They were out of espresso/ cappucino for one day which is not what I expected from a four star hotel. Also there wasn’t really anything to do within walking distance, and there weren’t any restaurants nearby, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here for more than two-three days if you don’t have a car. The swimming pool was a bit cold and there were things in the pool that really resembled worms… so unfortunately that wasn’t very appealing.

We had an incredible stay at White and it was our favorite hotel on island. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home and the food is excellent. They also booked experiences for us and coordinated transportation. We are so grateful for an amazing stay and can’t wait to return!

Fire at night overlooking the ocean was spectacular!

Impeccable service. Not overcrowded like a respite. Plenty of space. Almost like you were staying at a friend’s home.

We loved our 1 week stay at this lovely boutique hotel. The staff were truly professionals, friendly and kind. They checked on us regularly and communication was easy via WhatsApp. They all deserve a 10! The hotel itself is beautiful, tastefully designed and with a tranquil vibe. The pool, though small, looks over the ocean and offers the perfect relaxation with an alcoholic drink. Though the room wasn't what we were hoping, it was nice to have a small kitchen - we find it very useful. We also appreciated the evening ritual where they brought some nice herbal tea to our room. Breakfast was lovely too.

I might sound picky but we paid for the room what we would normally pay at 5 stars luxury hotel, and I am afraid it was nowhere near; The room (J2) was very narrow (and long!) and you could barely walk near the bed without bumping your foot into the bed frame. It had very limited space to put your clothes. It had no window, which we found very disappointing as we like to sleep with an open window and hear the ocean, hence why we chose this place. Basically, the entrance door was made from glass and functioned like 'a window' too, but clearly we wouldn't sleep with an open door. It also gave the entire room a dark look as it simply didn't have enough light coming in. The bathroom was tiny with a weird sliding wooden door that gave no proper privacy. We also could have used a trashcan in the room, especially that there is a kitchen in the room. As mentioned, the hotel itself is gorgeous and we enjoyed its public spaces, but it could use a treatment against cockroaches. I totally get its summer and they are outside, but it was unpleasant to see so many of them running around outside the room at night. Finally, the restaurant had very little vegetarian options. We would have dine there more often if the menu was richer. That said, their sister restaurant at their other hotel is really good and we enjoyed our dinner there. Despite the above, we did enjoy our time very much and would probably come back, and just choose a different room.

We were so pleased with our stay at White. The staff are kind, thoughtful, and always willing to help. The location is stunning. The setting is quiet & intimate with only a few rooms, and our suite was bright, clean, and comfortable with a lovely ocean view. We loved our morning breakfasts and the evening tea service. Hotel was in a good location. Our room was very well appointed and had fantastic ocean views and spectacular sunsets.The property was very clean and modern in style. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Although the hotel was very good we didn't think it was good value for money. The food was not exceptional and although we would be happy to pay extra for the more personal service the actual price difference was too great.
