Very accommodating staff, particularly Mike/Yul. He made us very welcome and had great suggestions for eating delicious local foods.. Organised our taxi to airport the following day. The room was small but exceptionally clean and comfortable. A great location for an overnight in Singapore and very good value for money.

Staff were lovely and the room had very good conditioning. It’s close to the station and right next to somewhere to eat.

Just in a kinda mid area away from anything exciting, but if you’re looking for somewhere quieter it’s ideal.

It was a nice cute hotel with easy access to metro nearby. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay.

The air conditioning was a bit too cold at night and there was not enough cover to warm up. Tried to turn it down but didn’t work.

Location, near to MRT and Changi Airport Aircon worked exceptionally well Bathroom clean , could do with some hand soap on sink Filtered drinking water was a nice bonus

Firm beds are one thing , beds that feel like you are sleeping on a rock are another, they need to put some mattress toppers on Soundproofing is poor you can hear noise in corridor and adjoining rooms so light sleepers might be irritated

The restaurant right outside of the hotel and the distance from Changi airport .The housekeeping staff very good very polite and friendly

It's between the airport and city. We only had 24hours here..so this was a good compromise for an 11pm arrival. All clean. Everything worked properly.

Comfortable beds, quiet, good location not far from transport. Room was small but ok, small bathroom had plenty of hot water. Food available right outside. Price was at the lower end of the scale.

Tv channel selection was limited.

The hotel was very loud and the soundproofing is limited.

Good affordable hotel near Changi Airport for a day room with a gap of 12 hours between flights. Clean and tidy room with firm bed and good aircon. Nice shower. Staff very friendly and happy to book a taxi for us. Thanks Hotel 81.

Easy to access and not too far from both the airport and other attractions of the city. Surrounded by many food outlets, but quiet and clean.

The bathroom is too tiny and not comfortable for use when you are tired and need a good, comfortable wash.

The room was okay but the place is the main road with no parking , The staff Dennis and Yul were friendly and they were helpful during my stay . Rooms are clean

Ausstattung war ok, aber nicht besonders ansprechend. Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise akzeptabel.

The location is really convenient—it's close to both the MRT station and the airport. There's also a halal food stall right next to the hotel. I highly recommend their Nasi Goreng Kampung; it's absolutely delicious!

The room is a bit small, but other than that, it's definitely worth it.

It was close to the airport for one night stay

The air con was on all night however couldn't turn it down we were frozen no extra blankets.

Staff is great, got the early check in which was more than welcome after a long trip from Europe.

Rooms are small, the bed quite uncomfortable, no breakfast options (this hotel does not have a restaurant). Is ok to consider it for a one night stopover in Singapore as is close to the airport, but I will not chose this location for longer stays.

The rooms and property smelt like smoke, one the rooms was not clean, the line was very poor quality. In one room the shower did not work and there was mould on the ceiling. Here was also cigarette butts in the shower. Which shows it had not been cleaned.

This is our go-to Changi Airport Hotel. 3 times now and we'll be back. Very convenient, 24hr reception. Cheap taxi s$25. or even cheaper: about 4 stops on the SMRT. Couple of cafe restaurants close by. If you have one of those terrible 20hr or less stopovers where you don't have time for anything but sleep! This is the place!

Not too far from the airport. Located near loads of eateries. Helpful staff. Good air conditioning.

The bed was very hard and the pillows were uncomfortable. Hotel feels old and there was a weird smell in the hallway. Room could have been cleaner. Expensive for what you get. It's manageable for a night before your next flight but if you want comfort, book somewhere else.

Overnight transit in Singapore, Hotel closed to airport and MRT. Very affordable compare to accomodation in the Airport.

The room was nice and AC was good enough for the climate because I came to Singapore from Sydney and the temperature difference was quite noticeable, also was backpacking in hostels and the hotel bed room was much nicer in comparison but also MUCH more expensive for the area and stay. Worth it for my one night layover in Singapore to get good sleep and be ready for the business meeting work I had in Malaysia the next day.

Shower/Bath setup, no curtain and bath was a little dirty or had stains so that I needed to stick with shower but no curtain and bathroom design meant it was more of a sponge bath shower the whole time

The uncle who handled our check-in was extremely rude. It honestly felt like we were checking into a prison rather than a hotel. We greeted him with a smile, but he responded with a cold expression and an unfriendly tone throughout the entire check-in process. People with this kind of attitude should not be working in the hospitality industry. It felt as though he looked down on us, perhaps because we are foreigners. Even at budget hotels, reception staff usually greet guests with basic courtesy or at least remain neutral. We weren’t expecting exceptional service—just simple respect. Checking in guests is part of the job, and customers should not have to experience someone’s bad mood or personal frustrations. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this was a very disappointing start to our stay.

I haven’t liked anything about this property particularly the front office staff absolutely rude and unprofessional

My experience at Hotel 81 Changi was extremely disappointing, mainly due to the behavior of the front office staff—an older gentleman and a middle-aged man—who were rude, disrespectful, and lacked basic customer service skills. When I made my reservation, I had already requested an early check-in. Upon arrival, after an overnight flight with my 2-year-old son, I politely enquired about the possibility of checking in early so that we could rest before our next long flight later that day. While I completely understand that the hotel may have been fully booked and unable to accommodate my request, the way the staff responded was unacceptable. They showed no willingness to listen, no empathy for our situation, and spoke in a manner that was discourteous and unprofessional. I was not expecting special treatment—only a respectful explanation if an early check-in was not possible. The staff's attitude left such a negative impression that I decided not to stay at the hotel at all. I left immediately and booked another hotel instead. Even if they had later offered me a room, I would not have felt comfortable staying there after the way we were treated. 0/10. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

过滤饮水竟然在厕所里是我无法接受的，毕竟厕所里都是细菌，觉得无语了

I didn’t liked anything and I would not recommend this property to anyone, The room that I overpaid it barely had space for one person, not clean and the staff was not professional. Once again it’s not worth the money at all

As I mentioned earlier this property it’s not worth the money, the rooms were so tiny, staff not professional not clean in there. So you decide if you want to go and pay money for this kind of place.

Close to train station. We only had to be here for one night.

Room 9 , Smelt musty. Shower floor did not drain. We flooded the entire bathroom as the water would not drain. Reception didnt seem too concerned about the drainage issue.

A bed for the night

The whole property is very tired, internal halls and doors were in major need of a paint. The lift was extremey slow. The curtains in our room had holes in them from wear and tear. The a/c was too cold and not individually controlled, so it was freezing. We had some food in a bag on the bed side table for about an hour, and then we were inundated with small bugs all over the food. There was also some small flying bugs in our bathroom. We asked the front counter staff for some bug/insect spray which they gave us, but did not seem alarmed at all they we were dealing with bugs in our room. The floor did not look very clean. I had low expectations due to the price and we only stayed one night between a late flight arrival and early ferry departure, however it was far worse than I could imagine

It was a convenient place. Clean and calm. Value for money. Kembangan MRT station is very closeby. Many food outlets available nearby.
