Tongfu Inn(In the National Park)

First and foremost Carol was the absolute best. She helped us plan and was an incredible host. Breakfast was very complete, and dinners were delicious, with a lot of variety. After days of hopping restaurant to restaurant, we loved getting to sit at the dinner table every evening for a home cooked meal. When it comes to location, again, 10/10. We were a 5 min walk away from the West gate of the park. This is the place to be if you want to enjoy Zhangjiajie National Park. Now to the star of the show, Carol, our host. She spoke great English and helped us meticulously plan our days through the national park. She provided day to day custom itinerary and maps and was always available if we had any questions. One of the members of our group got scratched by a monkey (not her fault, be careful) and Carol went out of her way to drive us to the clinic (twice) and handled all insurance paperwork and doctor visits. We are extremely grateful to her. Her and her family were very warm and welcoming.

Cet hôtel est parfaitement situé pour visiter le National Forest Park : à 5 min à pied d’une entrée du parc beaucoup moins fréquentée, il permet d’avancer à contre-sens de la foule et de limiter les temps d’attente. Il dispose d’un restaurant qui propose une cuisine familiale et est ouvert de 7 h à 20 h. Tout le monde est très sympathique et serviable. Remerciements tout particuliers à Carol, qui est une véritable tour-opératrice à elle toute seule ! Elle s’est occupée de l’achat de nos billets, de la réservation des transports et nous a également fourni des plans très précis et très précieux pour nous diriger au mieux dans le parc ! Un grand merci à elle et à toute son équipe.

Demandez une chambre au deuxième étage pour éviter les allées et venues dans le hall : elles sont parfaitement au calme !

Una verdadera experiencia de vida local, te sientes en familia. La atención de Carol es maravillosa, no hay mejor alternativa que las indicaciones que ella nos marcó. Pudimos hacer el recorrido inverso al que hace todo el mundo evitando las multitudes que se veían en el sentido habitual del recorrido. Un acierto para visitar el parque.

Прекрасное расположение, относительно входа в парк. 5 минут пешком. Отель расположен в маленькой деревне (петухи будят), отсутствуют магазины и рестораны (не всем это может понравится). Питание в отеле (китайская кухня, адаптирована под европейцев) вполне хорошее. Хотя, само помещение вызывает вопросы! Очень любезная хозяйка!!! Говорит на английском языке!!!Любые вопросы моментально решаются!!! Билеты в парк, на фуникулёры, автобусы и прочее можно приобрести в отеле!!! Прекрасно составлены предложенные маршруты в парк (без очередей)!!! Примерно, в 8.00 вход в парк и около 18.00 выход. ( у нас получалось так). Рекомендую!!!

Carol is a gem. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable in all aspects, she really allowed us to experience the best holiday - her suggestions and guidance is priceless. The location is fantastic, just outside east gate of the Park, which is of stupendous beauty.

The staff are lovely, especially carol as she speaks amazing English and helped me with planning my days at the national forest park and helped me get tickets and organized taxis to and from the airport. The food was delicious and a good value for money.

Location is best for national park if wanting to do many other things it may not be the best location for that.

La dueña era super amable, hablaba muy bien inglés y nos ayudó a planificar la ruta a pie por el parque, ademas de la compra de entradas. Nos gestionó el didi de la estación al alojamiento y viceversa. Las comidas alli, super ricas. PEdimos el desayuno para llevar y lo tenia preparado a la hora pedidas, recien hecho. a 5 min. andando de la puerta del parque. Camas grandes, correctas.

The girl who helped us coordinated everything, answered all of our questions, and was incredibly kind and caring. I would definitely stay here again. Carol, I can’t thank you enough for being so kind and thoughtful. You have gone above and beyond, and is truly appreciated. This stay has been amazing, up to the highest recommendation. Carol gave me personalized trail to get around and basically took care of all arrangements. She even saved me from a sticky situation with my AliPay when it wasn’t working and I was out needing to spend. The location is super close to the west entrance, and best decision to go against the usual route that typical tours do. Less crowded throughout. Although the location isn’t central in Wuyiyan, it’s close to the national park entrance so the trade off is worth it. Quiet, tranquil and their food is also superb! And I promise, you will be taken cared off all throughout. You will be treated like family from Day 1. What a lovely, caring and thoughtful family stay indeed. Go book with them, you won’t have any worries. Don’t hesitate :)

Carol was amazing! She messaged us and helped our taxi navigate to the hotel before we arrived. Then she helped us plan how to maximize our time in the park and Tienmen Mountain. Las camas super cómodas. La chica que se encarga del establecimiento muy amable y servicial, nos ayudo mucho como hacer mejor nuestra visita ademas de facilitarnos la ida y la vuelta a la estación de trenes. Lo mejor fue ella.

Un poco incómodo el baño a la hora de ducharte ya que no tiene ducha en si. La ubicación esta bien para entrar en el parque por una de las entradas, pero alrededor no hay apenas ambiente, supermercados, ni restaurantes, no hay vida.

Carol, our host, was amazing! We had a short amount of time in Zhangjiajie and she helped us navigate the park every single step of the way to see the best sights we could and to avoid the crowds. The park was about a 5 minute walk from the West Gate entrance and Carol helped us book our tickets beforehand so it was smooth entry. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the Inn - the tofu in the Zhangjiajie hot pot was so delicious, it has been some of the best food I have had in China in the last 4 months. The bedrooms are clean and spacious. The four of us were upgraded to two adjoining balcony rooms which were very comfortable.

The slightest of downsides is that the shower was not attachable.

Carol the host was really great. She spoke perfect english and helped us book all of the tickets for the park which was very convenient. They also offered simple but delicious breakfast/lunch/dinner upon request for a reasonable price. A highlight was the three kittens that were there during our stay.

Место вдали от цивилизации, нет баров и ресторанов поблизости, но мы это и искали. Очень душевно провели время. На территории были котята, ребёнок остался в восторге. Отличное место за эти деньги. А какой воздух!!!

Можно было бы предоставлять в номерах пару пакетиков чая и кофе, чайник в номере есть, а чая нет. Но не критично, просто было бы приятно посидеть с чашкой чая на балконе.

Супер хозяйка Кэрол, составила нам маршрут на гору на каждый день, также маршрут в Гранд Каньон, с полным подробным описанием, потеряться просто не возможно, всё очень грамотно и чётко. Номер немного уставший, но было чисто и комфортно, очень тихое место, спали крепко. Спасибо большое за гостеприимство и заботу о нас. Кэрол, мы тебя любим. Береги себя.

The young lady was just amazing. She planned everything down to the last detail of helping us to get tickets and what to do on each day at the park. Also at the glass bridge and cannon and Tianmen mountain.

5-10 minute walk from the west gate (5 mins in the morning when you have a lot of energy, 10 mins when you’re dragging your feet after a long day of exploring🤣) There isn’t much food option in the area so the inn also has a little dining area where you can purchase breakfast, lunch and dinner (we had dinner — around 42 Yuan per person, meat dish with rice! Really good) But the highlight is Carol who is an absolute gem. Even before staying she helped us out SO much with getting our entry timings on the tickets (we booked via trip instead of her- wish we’d done it through her would’ve been easier!!) AND she helped us with itineraries so we could get the most out of our visit to the park. Pre-booked a car to pick us up from Zhangjiajie city and to drop us off to Zhangjiajie west railway station. Honestly recommend staying here so much!!!

Homestay avec restaurant fantastique. Carol et sa famille sont tres accueillants. Elle parle anglais et vous fait votre parcours pour le parc. La homestay se trouve à la porte Est bcp moins fréquentée que la porte ouest donc vous serez en sens inverse du flux de touristes et ça c'est top.

Carol, la dueña, es un 10. El primer día llegamos al mediodía con una excursión contratada, pero, como estaba a dos horas en auto, nos recomendó reprogramarla. Se encargó de llamar por teléfono y yo de reprogramarla para el día siguiente. Fue la mejor decisión. También los realizó un paso a paso de cómo recorrer el parque los 2 días restantes. Espectacular su mapa y señalizaciones. Tienen desayuno y cena. También podes aprovechar para lavar la ropa. Nos organizo un auto para recorrer Furong por la noche (recomiendo). Muy contenta con Carol y su atención!!! Su inglés es espectacular.

Comparado al resto de los precios en China, la cena nos resultó cara.

Bathroom was a bit annoying with the shower being a wet room and water going everywhere. Very basic rooms ,don't expect any fancy, probably equivalent to a 2 star in Europe but was one of the cheapest places we stayed and the best owner

We loved our stay at Tongfu Inn. Carol is fluent in English and planned our whole stay in Zhangjiajie for us from ticket booking to providing us with detailed routes for the park for each day which also really helped us avoid any crowds. Big bonus point was the food at the restaurant, every meal we had was great. The room was simple but very cozy. I’d recommend staying at Tongfu Inn to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.

The family that owns it were so generous with their time to help plan my stay. Carol was wonderful.

Sie hat mir direkt nach der Reservierung kontaktiert und ausführliche Informationen zum Ticketkauf für das National Forest Park und Tianmen Shan in Zhangjiajie sowie zu den Sicherheitsmassnahmen in Schnellzügen gegeben. Sie war immer sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Sie hat für uns den Transfer (7-Sitzer), Tickets, eine Reiseführerin, die selber im National Forest Park wohnt und genau weiß wo man mit einer Geheinschränkung nicht gehen kann, und Taxi für den ganzen Tag kostenfrei vermittelt. Da meine Mutter mit dem Rollator nicht so viel gehen und Treppen steigen kann, hat Carol einen genauen Plan für den National F. Park gegeben und uns sogar kostenlos bis zur 1. Seilbahn gebracht und abgeholt, so dass wir den Fußweg und den 1. Bus zur Seilbahn ersparten. Vielen lieben Dank für Alles, Carol. Unter dem Gasthaus gibt es einen hauseigenen Restaurant, welches die Mutter von Carol führt. Hier kann man gut und günstig von 7 Uhr morgens bis 8 Uhr abends essen (Frühstück nur 15 RMB).

The room was spacious, clean , with all the supplies you might need , the location is perfect to visit the Natural Forest and above all that, Carol, the hostess was very nice and helpful.

Quando nos perdemos dentro do parque, ela prontamente nos ajudou e ainda solicitou um carro de aplicativo para nos buscar. Sempre responde rápido e com muita atenção. O café da manhã e o jantar estavam deliciosos. Super recomendo a pousada!

У отеля очень удачное расположение. Хозяйка отеля Керол очень замечательный, отзывчивый человек. Хорошо говорит по английски. Поможет заказать билеты в Национальный парк и объяснит маршрут. В отеле очень чисто. При отеле есть небольшая столовая, готовят вкусно.

Кэрол, просто молодчина, организовала встречу на вокзале, забронировала билеты в парк, довезла до подъемника, нарисовала маршрут, подарила сувениры на прощание.

The staff was fantastic. Carol helped us professionally organize our entire stay. She provided advice and made reservations. I highly recommend it. The location is right at the entrance to the park—a less popular entry—so there are no lines or crowds.

Great homemade food and comfortable accommodation. Definitely stay here if you want to be first in the park, and be given excelent advice, tickets, service etc. She even organised a driver for us to Yichang, a 5 hour journey!! Fantastic value. Comfortable and clean rooms, and it was a peaceful stay. Right next to the West Entrance which was quiet and, so was quick to get into the park. Staff was super friendly and helpful in booking tickets for the parks, as well as showing how to get around them.

Vam estar com a casa. La Carol es molt simpàtica, t’explica molt bé les coses i t’ensenya quins son els millors llocs on anar. Els seus pares i fill són molt agradables i el menjar exquisit.

Carol parla un ottimo inglese e si può contattare su WhatsApp. Camera con materasso e cuscino molto comodi. Stanza riscaldata con il climatizzatore. A colazione c'erano tre scelte una occidentale con Pane burro e marmellata e le altre due orientali con noodles in brodo o ravioli. Da bere succo d'arancia o cioccolata o latte o caffè mentre per la cena cucinano bene Ci sono alcuni piatti non speziati come patate saltate con pollo e mediamente gli occidentali riescono a mangiare bene. Consiglierei questo posto soprattutto per l'aiuto di Carol e la vicinanza al parco

Per fare la doccia si allaga tutto il bagno perché la doccia èsopra il Water. Non si può buttare la carta igienica nel water per non intasarlo e non c'è lo spazio per appoggiare la valigia e reception fa sempre molto freddo Durante il mese di marzo

Everything literally. The location was the best (3 minute walk from the west gate of the national park). The owner Carol was the most helpful person I’ve met in the country. She organised everything and even gave me step by step instructions and a map on how to navigate the huge park. She went above and beyond and even clarified things via messaging when I was in the park. The food served is exceptional and prices were great (you can’t not overeat, it’s so good). She booked every and any daily transfer I needed. Note : she speaks perfect English which is a bit rare in China.Overall I’d rate my stay there higher than perfect if it was possible. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very cheap for what it had to offer.

Posizione ottima per l'accesso al parco nazionale, la ragazza in reception gentilissima e disponibile, ci ha anche fornito una mappa con le indicazioni per i percorsi. La struttura offre un servizio trasporto valigie e pasti in loco (comodi essendo la struttura piuttosto lontana dal centro)

Purtroppo la camera aveva diverse problematiche, tra la moquette piena di briciole e con una macchia non specificata rossastra, il wc con macchie di urina e i cuscini macchiati non so cosa fosse peggiore. Inoltre la multipresa fornita non funzionava, il phon si surriscaldava e la "doccia" aperta a 20 cm di distanza dal lavandino causava un'inondazione a ogni apertura dell'acqua.q

We felt that we visit a friend. Carol and here team arranged us unforgettable vacation. She took care of us from the moment we booked the accommodation, she arranged us the entry tickets, transfers, and transportation to the scenes. The Inn has a great location, it is only a 5 minute walk from the entrance of the park. We highly recommended the Inn, the greatest asset is Carol whom we thank this great time at Zhangjiajie.

Carol was super sweet. She made us feel welcomed the moment we reached. She was really helpful with providing any extra info for our trip. She even helped us book taxis whenever needed. We went in late December so it was pretty much freezing. Carol always took the extra step to make sure our rooms were nice and warm upon our return. Much appreciated!

We only had one issue: the drainage in the bathroom wasn't too well so there would be a pool by the time we finished showering, still manageable though.

I liked that it was 5 mins away from the west entrance of the park. I could leave and get there once the park was opened to beat the crowd. The manager of accommodation, Carol was extremely nice and helpful. She gave very thorough and clear instructions to navigate xhangjiajie park and tianmen mountain based on the amount of time I had. She also helped arrange for my luggage to be sent to my next hotel which was nearer to where Tianmen mountain cableway was which is where I would have ended my trip. There’s food available at the hotel as well if you need simple breakfast and dinners.

Water took a while to heat up, but otherwise everything else worked great
