The room was a bit uncomfortable. It was tiny with no chair in the room. Everything just felt cramped.

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026Thanks to Tiaan and Jani for their friendliness. Tiaan who we called 06h45 to assist us with a technical/electronic issue with getting our vehicle started did so with a smile on his face on a bitterly cold Upington morning. He was a wizard and we were able to be on time for hospital appointments. Thanks Tiaan.
The cleanliness.

Reviewed Jun 20, 2026We had a wonderful stay and could not have asked for a better place. The accommodation was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home. The highlight for us was the spacious, modern bathroom, which felt luxurious and added a special touch to our stay. The attention to detail throughout the property was impressive, and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into creating a welcoming and relaxing environment. Everything was well-maintained, comfortable, and of a high standard. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-equipped place to stay. We would happily return in the future.
We liked everything

Reviewed Mar 23, 2026Our stay at Border Close Guesthouse was truly exceptional. After traveling for two full weeks, this was our final stop, and it genuinely felt like we had saved the best for last. One of the most thoughtful touches was the provision of water throughout our stay. After having to purchase water everywhere else on our trip, this small detail made a big impression and added so much comfort. The hospitality was outstanding. Every staff member was incredibly warm, attentive, and intentional about making sure we felt at ease. It created such a welcoming atmosphere that allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the experience. Without a doubt, this has been one of the best accommodation experiences we have had in the Northern Cape.

Reviewed Jul 2, 2023Wow, I have stayed in many guest houses throughout the Country but the decor and quality of the furnishings beats them all. Down duvets kept the winter chills at bay and the cleanliness of the rooms and communal areas is beyond what you normally find at guests houses. A real gem in the city!

During my stay, truly speaking there was nothing I didn't like about the place. Even the amount I paid is far less than the service I got there.
