Bonito el lugar pero muy ruidoso el cuarto por qué está cerca de donde están los empleados

When we arrived, no one offered to take our luggage to the room. We had to lug them up a hill ,over grass, and up a ramp. The person who took us to the room, did not explain, the TV & AC remotes, the safe, the coffee maker, restaurant hours (we found out later no coffee served after 3 PM) ,etc. There was no toilet paper in the bath when we arrived. Maid service was spotty- out of 8 days,they came to clean on 5 of them. There was no currency exchange at the desk..There is no bar for mixed drinks. Although the grounds are very well cared for, the room was ill-maintained (see photos). Rusty garbage can, moldy tub, torn pillows, peeling paint,faded wall hangings,a rickety sofa -detract from the rooms appearance. The unusual key and door lock are problematic -even a staff member had problems unlocking our room.

The staff was so kind and accommodating for any of our needs the property is absolutely beautiful. The pool isn't very big but it's so well kept and water was always clean and temperature just right.

This property is located in walking distance of the main square of Ahihic as well as waterfront. It does offer breakfast and there is a Nepresso in the room. We stayed in a 2 queen bedroom which had a lot of room and a great view of Lake Chapala. If you are mobility challenged this may not be a good hotel for you as you take these garden paths which are very pretty to go to rooms and at night not lit really well. There is a beautiful pool and great gardens. The door to the hotel is locked and you press an intercom for front desk to let you in so secure. Staff is friendly but they do not all speak English but google translate worked fine. We had a real struggle with our hotel room door, trying to unlock and had to repeatedly go to front desk to have them help. They willingly did. Finally after several days we did figure out how to open after a couple of tries (a funky key lock). The place is decorated well and is very peaceful.. Not a lot of noise.

Need New beds.

Lake is 20 yards away. Lots of shops open late night a block or two away. Attentive staff.

No cuenta con estacionamiento propio, ademas la habitacion que nos toco estaba al lado del almacen y se escuchaba el refrigerador es molesto.

Great place if you want to get away from the city. Very peaceful and best of all a heated pool. A block and a half from the boardwalk. The only thing I would suggest would be that they dust more often. The lamps were very dusty and you know what they say, 90% of dust comes from the skin. But overall very nice gardens and the people are great and friendly.

Es un lugar muy placentero, en la comida pedí pollo con mole delicioso ! No había servicio de Spa por remodelación 😕, el hombre en recepción no fue lo más cordial y atento que se pueda pedir pero en gral bien!! Tampoco me agrado que ahora cobren 200 pesos por usar 1 hora el Jacuzzi

Our room was upgraded because of ongoing remodeling. We were treated very well by staff. We will definitely be returning!

No cuenta con estacionamiento, tu vehículo se queda en la calle, muchas restricciones en sus instalaciones. No puedes estar en las áreas comunes después de las 12am. El servicio de restaurante termina a las 2 pm. Limpieza muy bien, es tranquilo, instalaciones en muy buen estado. Una de las recepcionistas poco amable. Si regresaría.

Excelentes habitaciones. Muy comodas, limpias y bien decoradas. No hay estacionamiento y por el momento solo desayunos. Alberca templada. Recomendable.

Great stay. Location is good, very close to the Chapala lake and with some eating options around the area within walking distance. Staff was great, very friendly!. The hotel was very clean and the pool and garden areas very well maintained. We had breakfast and it was delicious and affordable. The only inconvenient I had was that the coffee machine inside the room didn't work, but I reported it at check-out and I saw that they quickly addressed the issue, so hopefully the next guests won't have the same problem. Overall it was very pleasant and will definitely consider it for a next trip! Recommended!

Very quiet and acceptable with a caring staff. The service (we had breakfast daily) was a bit slow…..but acceptable

En la reservación decir Habitación de Luxe con cama King y al llegar resultón ser una habitación "Estrella" con cama Queen. Nos compensaron ofreciendo un desayuno de cortesía, de buen sabor y porciones adecuadas. Aun así la noche no fue muy cómoda dado el tamaño y el estado del colchón que es demasiado suave

My partner and I had a wonderful time at Hacienda del Lago. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel itself a serene oasis in a very picturesque town. The pool was so warm! The bed was comfortable and the nights were quiet (except for the far-off crowing of roosters!).

The property is well situated for access to central Ajijic, either walking or driving. Its older, so some things dont work - my bedside lamp had no power & the building lost power my last day. The little mini fridge gave me a shock if i touched it on the body (but not the door). The staff were awesome. I wanted water in a pitcher instead of plastic bottles & they obliged me every day. Also ice, which i guess isn't automatic in Mexico. Overall, property 3; staff 5, lication 5 since it is further out than other central hotels.

The property feels like an oasis- quiet, beautiful, peaceful, a lovely and comfortable room. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the food delicious. All of this just a short walk to the plaza and malecon!

Incredibly charming little hotel. Feels more like a bed and breakfast. The staff are so friendly. A block from the boardwalk/park for a peaceful walk by the lake. The area is very walkable and there are lots of dining and bar options. We will definitely stay here when we return. Ajijic is a magical place tucked away in a mountain valley. Worth the trip for sure!

Wonderful visit, great staff (Blanca at front desk was especially helpful). Only issue was poor WiFi in spite of the fact we were told it was brand new. Still, I would be happy to return

Muy bien todo excepto dos cosas: una el colchón de la cama muy incómodo y segundo no hay estacionamiento

La atención de su personal, la ubicación y la calidad de descanso en el cuarto son excelentes, la única razón por la cual les pongo 4 estrellas y no 5 es porque no piden a sus huéspedes respetar las reglas de convivencia en la alberca, el domingo una pareja puso música a todo volumen sin respetar a los demás y otra cosa es que sólo tienen 3 camastros disponibles cuando en fotos se ven muchos más. Sin dudas volveríamos pero sabiendo de antemano que van a hacer respetar sus propias reglas.

Es un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo, el trato fue muy bueno y muy amables todos. La habitación fue la infinito que es muy bonita y amplia, bastante cómoda. A una cuadra del malecón, recomendado ampliamente

This is a great place to stay if you want to relax in a small town. Lake Chapala is beautiful.

No Ac and hot water

Our stay was excellent. The staff were very kind and helpful and catered to our every need. The grounds were well kept and very peaceful. No buses or loud traffic down the street. The only thing you heard in the mornings were birds singing. The pool was very, inviting when getting up in the morning, always nice and warm . Definitely will recommend this hotel..

El hotel está bien ubicado, .cuarto limpio, no me gustó que la puerta fuera corrediza de cristal,a sentía insegura.

se fue la luz y el agua durante nuestro hospedaje. No tienen A/C por lo que el calor es algo notorio en la habitación. El drenaje de la regadera es deficiente, ya que el agua no drenaba correctamente mientras me duchaba

Great place with great staff. The first day we had no hot water, but we were promptly assigned to another room. Beware that Hacienda del Lago is not an hacienda and it is not on the lake. It is house in the town one block off the lake, and you can peek to the lake only from the corridor that access the few rooms on second floor.

Overall the room we stayed in needs more upkeep, like faucet fixtures, furniture upgraded lighting.

It is a bit run down and they need to be more consistent with the hours of their restaurant, but all in all a nice stay.
