We loved everything! It’s a beautiful accommodation in a stunning location. All the staff were so kind, and the tour guides were incredibly fun and knowledgeable. We had an amazing stay here!

The only thing we would have appreciated was having breakfast included in the price, especially considering the overall value.

Cerca del Río Loboc con una zona de relax muy bonita y el hotel te ofrecía actividades para hacer allí mismo. Hicimos yoga y nos pareció perfecto. El restaurante muy bueno calidad-precio.

A little oasis in the jungle next to rice paddies and the scenic Loboc river. We loved the overall vibe, from the use of traditional building materials, terracotta flooring, open spaces and art. We chose this place as well for the environmental sustainability and were delighted by the amenities they provided in the room, including a woven bag with sarongs, and even a flashlight. The bedroom and terrace were cosy. The room itself had plenty of hooks, the bed was plush, the outdoor bathroom felt private. The balcony has a spacious comfy sofa you could easily nap on. One of the best restaurants we’ve experienced! There was a good mix of local food with their own twist (foreigners should not miss), western food, vegan and healthy options, all beautifully presented. We still rave about their smoothies! Highly recommend their SUP tours. All the guides we met are kind, insightful, and seem to genuinely appreciate a good conversation.

Wish we had the time for a longer stay! Work along the river is ongoing but should soon finish so there is some noise in the day time.

Die Anlage ist traumhaft gestaltet - von der Architektur bis hin zum Garten. Die Lage am Fluss ist ideal. Das Hotel-Team ist supernett und das Essen im Restaurant absolut köstlich (wenn auch etwas teuer).

In unserem Zimmer und Bad fehlte es an Ablagemöglichkeiten. Und weil es im Zimmer nur Ventilatoren gibt, wurde es sehr warm. Ein Bad draußen ist theoretisch charmant - aber weniger, wenn es zum Hauptweg geht, den alle benutzen…

Era muy ruidoso, por la mañana a primera hora en torno a las 6 de la mañana pasaba un hombre en moto gritando vendiendo pescado , también alguien ajeno al hotel puso música a las 6:30 y no se podía dormir , tampoco entiendo que te hagan quitar el calzado para subir a la zona de restaurante y luego el personal si va con calzado y además entraban perros y desayuno muy caro, más que una cena

The vibe, the decorarion, the proximity to nature and the kindness of the staff. The restaurant and breakfast was amazing, with a lot of vegan options.

In our cottage, the bathroom was with an open roof, so we had a lot of insects jumping inside the shower (so don’t be afraid of them if you book the cottage!).

Todos los servicios que te ofrecen. El restaurante, muy bien, la habitación muy cómoda y con mucho detalle.

Bij het restaurant hebben ze geweldig eten! Het beste eten wat wij op de Filipijnen hebben gegeten! Heerlijke ontbijtjes, zoals smoothiebowls en broodjes, maar ook heerlijke diners. Het zijn super leuke, mooie huisjes. Rustig gelegen. Je kan goed scooters huren of activiteiten in de buurt ondernemen. Er is een ophaalmogelijkheid!

De locatie en mogelijkheid tot activiteiten is echt top!! Ook het restaurant is lekker (zeker het ontbijt: veel keuze) en de prijzen zijn zeer redelijk!!

Af en toe viel de stroom wel uit en er zijn enkel ventilatoren, geen echte airco.

Prix des services un peux cher.

Mooie locatie tegen een geweldige achtergrond van de Loboc rivier. Ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel met een dikke shout out naar LJ! Geweldige kerel voor wie niets te veel moeite is.

Ondanks dat we er van op de hoogte waren dat er geen airco was, viel het niet mee in de hitte. Ik snap de duurzame overweging maar het voelde voor ons niet helemaal oké. Daarnaast was de geboekte 2 persoons standaard kamer zeer klein en niet comfortabel. Voor een koffer was nauwelijks ruimte en het voelde erg gesloten (ook dat is achteraf op de foto’s terug te zien). Daarnaast vonden wij dat het restaurant best prijzig was (m.n. ontbijt) en erg op de vegetarische/vegan gast gericht is; dit is een keuze van de eigenaars maar voor ons gaf het helaas te weinig opties.

Food was amazing. Vegan and vegetarian meals were excellent.

No aircon in any room and when the power went out there was no fans. I was told on checkin there was 8% charge for using credit card. Outrageous. When I checked out it had mysteriously become 4%. Still too much. The reason given at check-in was “Because it’s an internet process”. 😳 I cut my stay short to 3 nights. The day trip (1 person) to Chocolate Hills and river cruise lunch were good but it became a very expensive exercise (but the driver was excellent) if only a solo traveller.

העיצוב של המקום מדהים, וגם המיקום בין הנהר לשדות האורז. נהננו מאוד מהטבילה בנהר ומהצוות הנפלא במסעדה - שהיתה טעימה, מגוונת ומעניינת.

אין מזגן בחדרים. זה לא משהו אפשרי מבחינת החום של הפיליפינים. זה מאוד העיב על החוויה שלנו. חשוב שזה יהיה מודגש במעמד ההזמנה. בנוסף, כל השירותים שהמלון מציע - פעילויות, הסעות וכו - מתומחר מאוד מאוד מאוד יקר ללא כל סיבה, וגם לא בתעריף שקוף.

Las camadas son muy cómodas, el baño al aire libre es genial, la instalaciones muy bonitas, el restaurante muy bueno

La habitacion es muy pequeña, y no tienen aire acondicionado lo que hace que pases bastante calor para dormir, las excursiones las tienen al doble de precio que en otros lugares

Wij hadden de familiekamer. Die was heerlijk! Hangmat op het terras, helemaal afgesloten van de andere appartementen. Het appartement is ruim, heeft een keuken met keukengerei en een verdieping. Het heeft een buiten toilet en buitendouche, een nieuwe ervaring, douchen met gekko 's en sprinkhanen! Wij vonden het erg leuk! Personeel is vriendelijk maar wat afstandelijk.

In verhouding is het vrij kostbaar voor de Filipijnen.

Il letto era decisamente troppo piccolo per una camera matrimoniale. Per il tipo di struttura che ambisce ad essere è decisamente un problema.

El emplazamiento en zona tranquila al lado del Río. La habitación muy agradable y luminosa con terraza y vistas al campo. La actividad que organizan en paddle surf por el río Loboc al atardecer para ver las luciérnagas es muy recomendable

Het is een mooie eco hotel. Aardig personeel en heerlijke massages

Er was geen airco op de kamer, alleen een fan. De prijs van het restaurant lagen redelijk hoog en de prijs voor het uren van een sup of de firefly tour was 2x de prijs van de buren.

De ligging fantastisch met uitzicht over de rijstvelden! Ook mooi aan de rivier waar je een frisse duik kan nemen. Het huisje is zo mooi ingericht met natuurlijke materialen ook de badkamer met frisse buitendouche is hemels. De geluiden van de vogels, gekko’s en wat honden geven je direct het gevoel dat je midden in de natuur zit. De tuin is mooi aangelegd. Ook leuk dat er een moestuin is waar je door heen kan lopen. Wij hebben de suptour gedaan direct bij aankomst dat was ook een hele leuke ervaring. Vanaf hier kan je de spookdiertjes en de chocolade heuvels bekijken (bij zonsopgang) en we zijn naar de zipline geweest.

Het was wel warm doordat we geen airco hadden maar dat hoort ook bij de buitenbeleving.

The restaurant is very ethnic in its design, upstairs and facing vegetation on all sides. Peaceful and atmospheric. The food was good, mostly focused on vegetarian dishes. The staff was highly courteous. The mosquito screen separating the room from the bathroom closed automatically with magnets, an excellent invention!

Coffee was not included in the set continental breakfast, which I found regrettable. As soon as you arrived, they 'pushed' you to do excursions or activities organized by the resort. It would be enough to have those advertised on a board, at the reception. Definitely business minded...

It was quiet and peaceful, near the river, the surroundings were pretty. The restaurant was great, good food and reasonable prices. Good location to do nearby activities.

The room was small and with basic facilities. The place itself is quite small and the bungalows are close to each other so it didn't feel very private when sitting on your balcony.

Het personeel was super vriendelijk, ze zijn tot het uiterste gegaan om een dagtrip voor ons te personaliseren. We hadden een heel mooi huisje met zicht op de rijstvelden. Het restaurant is heel gezellig waar je op blote voeten moest eten en nog een drankje kon drinken in de zetels. Lekker eten en ontbijt.

I loved how easy and simple it was to organise our transfers, scooter hirel and how helpful the staff are. I loved how clean and well maintained the place is. The food was delicious too.

Honestly, there was not one thing I didnt like, I enjoyed our stay there.

De gehele accommodatie was echt prachtig! Wat een weelde aan bloemen en planten! En de huisjes met de buiten douche waren super. Goed werkende ventilatie! Warm water! Wij keken uit op de rijstvelden. Gezellig restaurant met heerlijk eten!

Sfeer, Rust, tours…

We absolutely loved our stay at Fox & The Firefly in Bohol! The river setting is beautiful and so relaxing, the food was excellent, and the stand up paddle experience was awesome. The staff were fantastic — always friendly and helpful — and the accommodation was perfect. A truly special place that we would happily visit again!

The shower system was not intuitive at all and not explained, nothing horrible but a little confusing

L'hôtel est tres joli, chambres et parties extérieures. Disponibles sur place : restaurant, location de scouters, de vélos, de paddle ...

Les chambres ne sont pas climatisées, il y a un ventilateur mais c'est bien moins agréable et efficace. Si vous louez des scooters, à la restitution sachez qu'ils sont à rendre avant minuit, ce n'est pas 24h de location comme cela se fait partout.

Magnifique endroit et cuisine génialissime

Die Gartenanlage war wie ein Botanischer Garten. Wir hatten das 4 Bettzimmer, da kein anderes mehr zu buchen war für den Zeitraum. Für Zweit ist es gut aber mit 4 wird es tatsächlich eng. Schön ist, dass man direkt eine kleine Terrasse hatte und man daher einen schönen Blick in die Weite. Die Dusche war herrlich und die Geräuschkulisse am Morgen tropisch . Das Restaurant gemütlich aber dennoch waren wir nicht immer dort..

Zuerst: die Tour mit Glühwürmchen war leider nicht so toll wie wir erwartet hatten. Man sieht diese nur weit entfernt und man darf auch nicht alleine paddeln sondern muss mit Begleiter fahren und ist so nicht im eigenem Tempo paddeln. Die Tour würden wir tatsächlich nicht noch einmal machen. Es gibt kein Moskitonetz im Zimmer und doch gibt es am Abend viele auf der Terrasse. Also sollte man lieber die Tür zulassen. Zwischen Hotel und Fluss liegt eine Straße und auf dem Steg gibt es keine Möglichkeit sich hinzulegen oder zu sitzen . Das ist wirklich schade. Baden gehen ist also nicht möglich…

We were upgraded to the two bedroom air con room and it was amazing. Only wish we stayed more than one night. The gardens, tasty onsite restaurant, and staff were all great. Definitely do the sup night firefly tour, it was cool.

Al wisten we het vooraf.. alleen een wapper in het warme seizoen is toch net niet genoeg.

The staff is amazing. So friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has delicious food and a great variety at that! This place is a must visit. Quiet location off the main road, yet close enough to the main part of town. It felt like a jungle hideaway. I would highly recommend staying there!

Les aboiements des chiens la nuit et le vendeur en moto qui braille dès 6h….c’est l’Asie. Pour les personnes sensibles aux bruits, prévoir des bouchons d’oreilles

Alles! Van het ontvangst tot de firefly tour. Wat een fijne plek!

Die Lage ist ruhig und direkt am Loboc River. Die Anlage hat einen wunderbaren Garten und unser Zimmer war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Man kann viel unternehmen: Wir haben direkt am Abend der Ankunft noch spontan an der Glühwürmchentour teilgenommen und am nächsten Tag eine coole Mountainbiketour mitgemacht. Beides konnte man problemlos kurzfristig buchen und beides war super. Die Massage war auch sehr zu empfehlen. Das Ausleihen des Rollers war unkompliziert möglich. Man sollte den Roller bitte auf Mängel überprüfen, wobei uns jedoch sofort ein anderer Roller angeboten wurde, als wir nicht zufrieden waren.

Das Essen im Restaurant war zwar super lecker, aber am ersten Abend wurde unsere Vorabbestellung wohl nicht weitergegeben und am zweiten Tag warteten wir sehr sehr lang auf das Frühstück, das wir letztendlich in kürzester Zeit verspeisen mussten, um pünktlich zur gebuchten Tour zu erscheinen.

Excellent location to paddle board on the loboc river, we did 2 tours, the fireflies and the waterfall tour, which we enjoyed. Fantastic food!

J’ai adoré la balade de nuit en SUP sur la rivière Loboc. Le logement est calme et le restaurant excellent. La douche en cascade en extérieur est superbe !

Le cafard dans ma chambre même si ça peut arriver. Pas de service de blanchisserie dans le resort. Il fallait aller au bout de la rue et nos vêtements sont revenus encore sales.

Lovely eco friendly resort. Gorgeous, well appointed huts with outdoor bathrooms and little deck to relax in the ha mock on. So easy to book activities and we loved the SUP fireflies tour. The food at the restaurant was beautiful also. The little touches like the plug in bug zapper were appreciated as well as a line to hang wet swimwear.

Not that it was a problem for us but it isn’t close to town so if that’s important to you it’s worth knowing. The rooms are small so a bit tight with our luggage inside also. Not that it would change anything for us! Wish we’d stayed longer!

Heel mooi resortje in een groene omgeving, vlakbij de rivier. Personeel was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Nette kamer en badkamer. Lekker eten.

Geen frigo op de kamer. Prijzen voor bvb een taxi of om een SUP te huren waren een stuk hoger dan bij de buren. Wij gingen dus daar.

Die Cottages sind in einem gepflegten tropischen Garten gebaut, unseres hatte Aussicht auf Reisfelder. Alles ist sehr sauber. Das Restaurant nett eingerichtet und die Auswahl an Speisen sehr ansprechend. Es gibt typisch philippinische Gerichte mit Produkten aus dem eigenen Garten oder der Region. Es gibt siwohl vegane, vegetarische oder auch Fleisch- und Seafood- Gerichte. Dazu verschiedene frische Säfte. Am Hotel kann man im Loboc River schwimmen oder SUP ausleihen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super! Wir würden das Fox&Fireflys jederzeit wieder buchen und empfehlen es gerne weiter.

L'alloggio è situato proprio in prossimità del fiume Loboc, immerso nel verde e in un'atmosfera di pace. E' dotato di tutti i comfort e di personale gentilissimo e molto disponibile. Inoltre, il Fox and the Fireflies è dotato di un ristorante su una terrazza sopraelevata, in cui viene servita anche la colazione. Super consigliato!
