Gregoire's Apartment

Le climatiseur trop bruyant

Good morning, I arrived at your property on March 5th and was greeted with a cold drink. We checked in, but we had to wait until 3:00 PM for our room. They showed us to our room a couple of hours earlier, but it wasn't the one we'd booked; it was smaller and had no balcony. I reported the mix-up and they arranged for us to be assigned the correct room. The property was attentive, calling us halfway through our stay to check if everything was okay and offering us a cocktail to enjoy at the pool bar. The breakfast buffet was good. Unfortunately, the only downside, besides assigning us a different room that they fixed, was that when I asked at reception where to pick up pool and beach towels, I asked for large ones, but they handed me small towels, just enough for a bidet. di giacopo

Convenient location walking distance to La Passe and Union Estate. Supermarket and Italian restaurant below. Acess to La Digue Island Lodge facilities. Spacious room. Pick up and drop off to Ferry.

Very good valué for money. Situated across the Road from La Digue Island Lodge whose facilities you can use. Very friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Supermarket in the building. Highly recomendable.

I was upgraded to a better room at the La Digue Island Lodge. The person who helped me at the desk was really kind. She was very helpful and walked me over to my room. Also, she told me where I could get a bike to rent. This happened on Oct.31 2024

The pool was closed that day I arrived and the breakfast was okay. I wish I was told that I wasn't staying at apartment , that I was now at the Lodge. I had a difficult time trying to find the entrance to the apartment but someone at one of the restaurant below the apartments, told me that I needed to check in at the Island Lodge. Overall everything was really nice. Wish I was able to spend more time on the Island.

Location was great. Good facilities. Horribly rude staff. It is a part of La Digue Lodge and some of the staff treat you really bad. The guy who picked us up from jetty had really bad attitude towards us vs the people who were staying in their luxurious rooms. We had several issues during our stay. Our room was flooded with water, no Wi-Fi, landline was not working so we had to go all the way to resort to get help. But the receptionist Donna was not even slightly bothered about our issues and was not even acknowledging while we were communicating. Very different treatment for people staying in luxurious rooms v apartments. In that case they should keep separate receptions and staff, facilities. Don’t mix everything if you can’t handle it nicely.

The guy who picked us from Jetty and receptionist Donna

The property is conveniently located in a main road near the beach and hotel amenities. I rented a bike and and it was very convenient and all one would need for transport. Great restaurants near the property. Simple and efficient. I had terrible WiFi connection. If one relies heavily on Wifi, keep in mind it is not consistent.

Lovely apartment, very clean and nice. Supermarket and takeaway below. Ideal location. We used resorts beach and sunbeds, really nice. We had transfer from and to port. Breakfast was good, in resort restaurant by the sea. Enjoyed our time.

There are birds in restaurant during the breakfast, not nice to see while eating. Every morning cock woked us up at 6am.

Nice Hotel, simple but with everything you need. Friendly staff, and location og the Hotel was perfect.

Location the staff were very friendly and helpful service were amazing

We got upgraded to the villa in ladigue Lodge and it was very nice...the staff was great

We liked the location and the facilities of the LaDigue island resort are associated with it. There is a supermarket just below the apartment s.

There is no room service and as an apartment is small.

access to infrastructure of La Digue Island Lodge was great. Location of the apartment was also ok with the shop in the same building, one minute walk to bike rentals.

WiFi was very poor. Room was spacy, however it was 'sad'. no facilities like forklifts, plates etc.

The ambiance and serene atmosphere plus the swimming. The meals were alsoc

Nothing

The apartment that I booked was not like the pictures, it was just a room far away from the main reception.

The room was super quiet, clean and soooo relaxing. It was absolute value for money, and such a convenient location. The facility was modern.

Anything

The shower had no water. We came from the beach all dirty. Desperately needing a shower and it had no water. They made us walk to their sister hotel (Island lodge) to have a shower. There’s no reception in Gregorie’s apartament. The reception is their sister hotel. You have to walk there every single time. It’s annoying. Everything is in the sister hotel. So it’s not worth it to stay in Gregorie’s. Because Island Lodge has dinner and breakfast included. Gregorie’s has not. If you calculate you’ll see that makes more sense to stay in island Lodge already. Gregorie’s seems like a abandoned place. It’s very full of dusty and left out. The receptionists try their best. I can’t complain about it. If the wanted to be fare. Either they’d have a reception for Gregorie’s itself or make it one unique hotel to pay better attention to this one.

We heard from the friends it's a no go place But still we want to see for our self Room dusty and spider web in the bathroom think they would do a better job next day, unfortunately it was like that till we departure. The pool full with noise kids from the local community. We paid a hotel with pool that we can used but unfortunately it was a shame. The food was an okay. I won't book again or stay in this place again.

the location perfect

the the staff the location the gardens the staff friendly efficient security not that I think I ever felt threaten the island , but is good to know they are there

Location

-No water -AC was full speed all the time -waterboiler was full of rust

We did not have access to the breakfast

The room was dirty and had a mildew smell when we arrived. It was very depressing looking and we tried to stay out of the room as much as possible as it was uncomfortable to be in there

Free access to the pool!l, helpful staff, close to store.

Dont go there. The hotel-staff and manager are very rude and there is no service at all at this place. We got confirmed on email that we Will get the room that we wanted. When we arrive we dont get the room and they dont care. We booked a dinner but the staff forgot and instead of apologize they blame us for booking the wrong date. Horrible!

TV set was not working.

Note: Gregoire's Apartments are private rooms in a building on the main street. The photos of a beautiful pool area and beach are from La Digue Island Lodge, the nice resort you have access to while staying there. The good: - Our housekeeper was excellent. Always ready to jump in and make up the room to perfection, once even with lovely little towel swans. - The resort area that you get to use is nice. Excellent buffet dinner at a reasonable price, good breakfast with an omelette bar, beach-side pool area with shade and sun seating options, plenty of relaxing covered spaces for rainy days. - Transfer from (and back to) the ferry is a big bonus, and the manager himself showed us around. We saw how busy he was day to day which made this even more appreciated. - The pizzeria on the ground floor has good wood-fired pizzas. - All of the staff we interacted with were wonderful and it's clear this place is impeccably managed. They do really care about your stay and work hard to make it a good one. The not-so-good: - The rooms are clean (awesome housekeeper) but quite outdated, especially the bathroom. If they updated these rooms they could probably charge a lot more for them. - If you only look at the photos of the nice resort and then arrive and realize you're in old rooms above a grocery store you'll be disappointed. Know what you're getting and you'll be set to enjoy the arrangement.

It was a very bad decision to book this apartment! It does not look as in the pictures published at hotels.com! The apartment has no charme, it is very loud (street infront) and I could not sleep, because the mattress was very old and full of mites. It itched the whole night and in the morning my skin was red, itchy and inflamed. We went to the reception (They have no reception at all at the building and you have to walk 5min to Island Lodge!) and asked for another room, but they could just offer us another room in the Hotel Island Lodge (Gregoires belongs to the Island Lodge) for an additional amount of EUR 140. We already paid EUR 130, which is way tooooo much for this ugly & bad cleaned room, and did not want do pay even more. Thus, we booked another hotel (Chateau St. Cloud which is very nice and we can highly recommend) and they did not refund us any money for our circumstances or for the breakfast we did not demand at all, because we stayed in another hotel. This is an absolute NO-GO!!!! Also the facility of the quite expensive Island Lodge is not nice at all. The restaurant, where the breakfast ist, is under construction and you can not talk to each other due to the noise. Also the pool area with the pool bar is not as it looks in the pictures. There is also no bar keeper at the pool bar. Also the beach is small and you have lots of sea weed in front. Unfortunately, for us this was a very bad experience for us & we cannot recommend Gregoires Apartments at all!

We had a wonderful stay at Gregoires for our honeymoon. The room was spacious, clean and had greate wifi connection. Greate location near the beach, with the best grocery shop and pizza in the same building. The best part of our stay was the facilities at La digue lodge, wich was included in our stay. The staff was friendly, food was amazing and made a perfect romantic atmosphere. We also went on a 3 hour snorkling trip booked by the hotel, witch tourned into 5 hours and a trip around the island with our great shipper and guide. You can rent bikes just outside the lodge, so dont rent by the ferry when you arrive. When you arrive at the ferry, you will be shuttled with the bus from la digue lodge. We would love to come again sometime!

When we got to La Digue and we walked to the hotel from the jetty because we did not get a response to our email asking for it's location and the potential to be picked up at the jetty as advertised in their website information. The free shuttle was there at the jetty but we didn't know it was for our hotel because the name is different from the apartments. The apartments are over a grocery store and bank. The rooms were fairly old and the pictures of the entire complex on the book site were photo shopped. There is a ton of remodeling going on around the hotel complex. The breakfast included in our room rate was really the best part of the stay. They have a great buffet style breakfast with eggs, bacon, crepes, fruit, pastries and beverages. The kitchen staff was great.

Great location, great staff, great food. Close to everything. I recommend it .

First of all the service is horrible, very unfriendly staff. The beds are very uncomfortable. The bathroom is dirty. There’s no hot water in the shower, and there’s very little cold water coming out of it.... impossible to take a normal shower. The buffet is very basic and overpriced. We came from the beach with wet sandy towels and asked to exchange them for clean ones to go to the pool but the guy at the front desk said that you’re only allowed to have one per day, we insisted in a friendly way but he just refused very impolitely. Very bad experience.... definitely not worth 200 euros.

Apartment is on the 2nd floor, two blocks back from the sea. So no view, also the road in front of apartment is fairly busy and can get noisy when party dwellers go home at 3=4am in the morning. There is very little water pressure in the shower and if someone uses cold water whilst you shower then you get scolded with hot water. No natural light in the barhroom and electric lights not really bright enough. Electrical switches in very odd places in the room. The room is big enough, tv and aircon worked well. Curtains old style and no blackouts. The apartment is serviced by LA DIGUE Island Lodge. When you arrive at the ferry look for their transport as it’s too far to walk with luggage from the ferry to the apartment. You need to go to the hotel to check in and then walk 2 blocks back to the apartment. There is a grocery store and atm on the ground floor of the apartment which is handy. There are no cooking facilities in the apartment but there is a fridge. The LA Digue Island Lodge has a nice pool and restaurant facility. The free breakfast is very good.

The beach is disappointing. Cannot really swim. Even walking alongside the beach is not so nice. Nevertheless the swimming pool and the sunbathing chairs are fine. We stayed at Gregoire's apartment (annex) and our room is on the street, quite noisy during the night. It is not a double bed but 2 single beds side by side. The water flow in the shower is very poor, it is difficult to adjust the temperature. Faucets are old. Even the sink is a mess, waterproofed evacuation with adhesive, cannot keep water in it (broken). About the coffee set : 2 cups but only one spoon ! 780 euros for 4 nights is quite expensive regardless the quality of the accomodation.

We stayed at Gregoire's Apartments for two nights. The rooms were ok but the beds were very uncomfortable. There were springs poking us through the mattress in places and I ended up putting a blanket and my beach towel on the mattress and sleeping on top of that to make it more comfortable. The water in the shower was also erratic and would go from warm to cold to warm again without touching the taps but the water never got very hot. The breakfast was good, had a nice view and staff were attentive. They didn't have any dairy free milk alternative like soya or coconut milk. We could use the pool at La Digue Lodge which was nice and had a bar and sun loungers. The service at the bar is not good though and we waited 15 minutes at the bar to be served as the bartender was on the phone. The only internet was in the lobby at La Digue Lodge but it didn't work most of the time and when it did was very slow. They were kind enough to pick us up and drop us off with their shuttle bus for our stay. Unfortunately however when they came to fetch us from the lobby to take us to our next accommodation we discovered that they had collected our luggage from our room and taken it to the ferry jetty by mistake and left our luggage there unattended. We raced to the jetty and luckily our luggage was still there. We stayed at a few places in La Digue and there is definitely better value for money on the island.

Gregoires is associated with La digue Island lodge and one can use all the facilities of the lodge but pls keep in mind its not in the resort its a short 2-3 min walk from the reception. Its a seperate building which has a bank supermarket and a pizzeria below ver convenient. They provide free shuttle to and from the jetty. when i was there the swimming pool was closed so they were providing free shuttle to grand anse and Anse d Argent so thats cool. Room was nice and basic good aircon with a balcony nicely furnished. There is no safe in the room so u have to use the safe at the reception. One thing to keep in mind is that they do not provide any complimentary bottles of water. Wifi is free but only at the reception. Bicycle rental is just below the building 100 scr for one day per bike. I didnt take breakfast which apparently was costly (25 euros) must be a great breakfast but i didnt opt for it. It is not self catering at all for ppl who want to cook pls look someplace else. Location is good near to all the good beaches. overall a good experience. All in all a great budget option you wont get any better budget options than this. regards Kunal Kapadia PS Kindly reply to my last email after i checked out thanks

We stayed two nights in hotel. The room was ok with refrigerator, kettle, air cond and balcony. Pretty comfortable. We could use swimming pool in La Digue Island Lodge as they even have one reception.

Stayed for 2 nights. Nice stay overall. The rooms are pretty basic, but good services. No wifi in rooms is the only thing missing, but sometimes it can be a good thing specially on a holiday :) You can access wifi in the reception. The beach nearby is also beautiful, and the restaurant area is quite nice.

Good and affordable accomodation affiliated with La Digue lodge. Cleaned everyday, nice balcony with streetview, effective and quiet AC. Not far from anything on La digue. I really liked the location close to the center of anse reunion. A couple of minutes by bike from both La passe and Anse source d'argent. A nice breakfast is served over at the lodge across the street. Most of the staff are really nice and friendly. In particular I want to give a shoutout to the awesome ever friendly omelette guy Bishnu, the chef Mahesh, Gerard at the reception, Kevin, Chiara and Roselyn. Very friendly and likeable characters that made my stay better than I had imagined.

Nice well appointed room with small balcony on quiet street, above large supermarket, bank and pizzeria. No cooking facilities, but a fridge, water cooker and some plates, glasses and cutleries are provided, so you can at least make your own breakfast. Pizzeria provides fresh warm buns in the morning, but is not the best for pizza. There's a better one in La Passe. If you are a coffee lover bring your own. They only give you three sachets a day and sometimes they forget to refill. Nice quiet aircondition en a good hot shower. No wifi in room. The apartment belongs to La Digue Island Lodge, so you can use all their facilities (free wifi, beach towels, swimming pool, beach chairs). It's only a five minute walk to the lodge and the beach. Transfer from and to jetty is provided for free. We would stay here again.

We spent 5 nights here. The rooms are basic, but have everything you need and are clean. The bonus is using the La Digue Lodge facilities - the pool is lovely and the breakfasts are wonderful. We found prices in general on the whole island very expensive, yet the hotel-organised snorkeling tour was reasonable and hiring bikes here was also cheaper than at the Jetty. I recommend hiring a bike. The best beaches and places to go are all within easy cycling distance - it is a great way to get around.

We spent two nights at Gregoires in an interconnecting family room. The walk to the La Digue Lodge can get a little tiresome, but at half the price of the lodge rooms, this was better value. The rooms are large and well appointed, and the best part for me was that we could use the swimming pool at La Digue Lodge, and have a hearty breakfast in the sand-floored restaurant facing the sea. You can hire bicycles from the 'guys below the large tree' next to the lodge (these were the words from the hotel staff explaining the facilities), and explore the island. La Passe is a few minutes away by bike and the Northern beaches a few more minutes away. Everything is close by on La Digue. I never went to the remote beaches on the Eastern shore, but have heard they are excellent.

We had booked at La Digue Island lodge but due to a problem with the booking we were moved to Gregoire's apartments. With hindsight it is where we should have booked from the beginning. For a fraction of the price you get a clean room (it is a room that gets cleaned every day) on the main road but very quiet and you have all of the rights of the residents of La Digue Island lodge (beach, swimming pool and services in general). WiFi is available in the area of the reception of the Lodge. We were pleasantly surprised by the very good organization and punctuality of everything.Only one small remark: the lodge shuttle to the ferry jetty (you have to pay 3 Euro each for it) does not stop at Gregoire's so you have to carry your luggage to the lodge; it is better to go directly to the jetty.

Within walking distance of the jetty at La Passe. (About 10 minuties) Clean and comfortable with good air conditioning and large shower only bathroom. Ancient TV but with international channels. They have fridge and tea and coffee making facilities but cooking facilities. All rooms have balcony's with views over the street. Sea a couple of minutes walk. Apts are above Gregoire's store and across from the La Digue Island which under the same management and you can use the facilities there. Transfers available for 3 euro per person via La Digue Island Lodge. La digue has wonderful South Sea charm.

Can't afford to stay at the La Digue Lodge? Gregoires is the more budget accommodation above a supermarket associated with the La Digue Lodge. I paid 100 euros for half board which included the breakfast and dinner buffets and use of the faciliities of the lodge. La Digue Lodge is a lovely resort so this is the highlight of staying at Gregoires. The room I had had a tiny balcony over looking the main street, was clean, and tastefully decorated. A safe is available in the room if you pay a key deposit. Arrange a transfer with the the lodge before you arrive and check in at the lodge as well.

This is one of the dirtiest places I have ever been to. The food is terrible and I could not sleep beacuse I found after my 5th day that I was being bit by bed bugs.

We went to Seychelles July 2008. La digue is a small island and Gregoire´s apartment is a good choice. You have nice room with a small balcony and air condition. Very fresh toilets. Just what you need. The service here is excellent. But the best with the hotel is the pizza restaurant....They cook amazing pizzas. Breakfast you eat is situated in a cozy hotel some meters away from Greogories. You can also use all theire facillities like the pool and activities. That´s nice. Greg. is a very valuable hotel situated near the small town La digue and if you rent a bike it´s near all superb beaches. Don´t hesitate book this hotel if you want nice breakfast, nice location and a valuable hotel on la digue. I hope you find this review helpful Regards S o J

I have been thinking for a week should I rate Gregoire's with 4 * or 5 *. It is not top luxury, but I still want to give 5* as we had e great time there and I really can not think of a single thing that did not satisfy us. Writing a review on Gregoire's is just as much writing one on La Digue Island Lodge, one only have the room at Gregoire's Apartments, all other facilities are those of LDIL across the street. The rooms are just like new and builded with high standards compared to many other buildings in the neighbourhood. And very clean! we had rooms 9001 and 9002 of which 9001 was for 3 persons and it was very big. The bed was also huge. Toilet in great condition, also high quality of building work here. In both rooms we had TV and a minikitchen (glasses, electrical waterkettle and so on). The pool at LDIL is not new but clean and big enough for us at least. And the toilet next to the pool has to be the most beautiful and clean pooltoilet I have ever visited! Poolbar open til early evening, nice drinks. Breakfast at LDIL is I think the best and most plentiful breakfast I have ever eaten! We truly enjoyed it. Our teenager who usually do not eat that much early in the morning, even he got excited and ate a bunch of pancakes every morning. LDIL also arranges different tours every day for very reasonable prices, did the snorkeling trip to Coco Island; this was the peak of my entire holiday! Greetings to Darrel the guide, kind young man. The wonderful extra with LDIL pool area, restaurant and so on is the view, it is very beautifully situated right on the beach and the sun sets right in front of you. I will recommend this combination everytime I talk to someone about holidays to the Seychelles. A very praiseworthy combination! Finally greetings from my whole family to the 2 guys in Gregoire's own little reception, very nice people, and also greetings to the 6 Norweigan globetrotters we met here. Thank you, you are very kind and nice people, all of you!
