Atendimentos dos funcionários, perto do Museu Bob Marley

Nos indicaram um táxi para a rodoviária que nos extorquiu, cobrando o dobro do combinado. E a acomodação não se deu o trabalho nem de responder minha mensagem de reclamação.

Wszystko z tym hotelem ok: jest czysto, w pokoju jest klimatyzacja, ręczniki i mydło. Wystrój ok, choć nie jakiś ekskluzywny. Można zjeść śniadanie podane przez przemiły personel. Cała obsługa miła i pomocna. Lokalizacja: w bezpiecznej części niebezpiecznego (podobno) Kingston. Spacerkiem można dojść do muzeum/domu Boba Marleya.

To jest hotel budżetowy, na jedną - dwie noce, w standardzie "dobre na pracę w delegacji". Ale w okolicy w tej cenie nie ma lepszego wyboru. Na romantyczny pobyt albo pobyt z dziećmi w ogóle nie polecam Kingston.

I liked the cleanliness of the property and how friendly the staff was.

There wasn't much to dislike.

This was a central location. Very friendly and considerate staff. Felt safe at the site.. Loved that it had safe parking on site.

El agua de la ducha apenas tibia , el baño estaba tapado , se escucha mucho ruido en las habitaciones de planta baja

The hotel was quiet and clean with friendly staff. Breakfast was amazing. The shower was very good. A member of staff also went out and bought a hairdryer as mine wasn’t working. So impressed!

Staff are phenomenal, very nice and clean place, and also really yummy Jamaican breakfast! Location is great, and close to everything. Would definitely return.

Not an issue at all for us but I assumed there was a bar fridge, and our room was one floor above so needed to carry suitcase via stairs.

La atención del personal fue muy amable y estuvieron prestos a ayudarnos en todo momento. El hotel es pequeño, pero agradable y está ubicado en una zona tranquila. La habitación es algo estrecha, pero estuvo bien para nuestra estancia

Lovely Jamaican breakfast. The rooms were plain and very clean. the A/C worked fine. And more importantly everyone I interacted with was friendly and courteous.

I took the breakfast option for $25 a person. The price of the meals at the little restaurant was $10. So I was a little annoyed about over paying for that. I hope the extra dollars went to the staff.

I will say the food was good, and the security and location were also positives.

The property did not meet my expectations. My room was not properly cleaned and felt very unmaintained, I had to clean the room myself along with my mom’s help which was disappointing. .Also, in the dining area, you are expected to eat on a dirty tablecloth they need to change the table after each person finish with the table. Aunts all over the bed lizards poop on the windows and floor . I had to pull the bed away from the window so the aunts won’t go on the bed ,as they use the curtains that’s rest on the bed to go on the bed

Very nice and quiet place

Simple and basic accommodation that is clean and well maintained, in a great location.

There were issues with our reservation (Booking.com) and the guy on front desk was only concerned with his technology. Also, we ordered take out that came with no fork or spoon, but the same fella couldn't (or wouldn't) help.

De vriendelijkheid was redelijk. Moesten lang wachten bij binnenkomst omdat de mevrouw aan de telefoon zat. Ze had ons even welkom kunnen heten en vragen om even te wachten vanwege haar lange gesprek. Maar zelfs een knikje of hallo met haar hand was er niet. Niet echt een fijn welkom.

I am pleased with the facilities & I was most impressed with the staff, they polite & courteous, very helpful & informative, I would definitely recommend “Shirley Retreat” to anybody, it was a great way to begin my holiday. I intend to return to “Shirley Retreat” in the future as a launch to other areas of Jamaica.

I can’t honestly say that there was anything I didn’t like about the property, I was made to feel comfortable & welcomed.

Location is perfect so many restaurants all attractions near by. Staff is nice room also good. Ac is very strong which is a must in jamaican heated weather. Private parking also available good.

Absolutely loved it!! Price was good breakfast included! Staff was extra friendly, the rooms were very clean!! Check in was EASY and fast ..PRIME LOCATION

The location is great. The staff were very calm and responsive (I requested extra linens and towels and got a whole set 😄). My partner loved the breakfast and she is very picky.

Geringe Entfernung zum Bob Marley-Museum (ca. 300m).

Frühstücksraum nur rudimentär eingerichtet. Dort keinerlei Lüftungsmöglichkeit, entsprechend war die abgestandene Luft. Das inkludiert Frühstück: 2 harte Toastscheiben, undefinierbare Masse=Butter?, 1 warmes Glas Wasser, 1 Tasse schwarze Brühe=Kaffee? ein wenig Rührei Indiskutabel für 3 Sterne-Hotel!!! Keine Frühstücksalternative in der Nähe.

It was a lovely space for a good budget. The staff were was very tentative to my needs.

The only part was the lack of cash to exchange money. But it was figured out rather smoothly.

Safe and lovely location, hood facilities and Outstanding staff. Especially, Colin from evening shift and day shit front desk (sorry I forgot her name) attendants were exceptionally helpful, pleasant and attentive. Great value for the money

Das Frühstück war sehr einfach nur Eier und Toast, keine Früchte einfach schade. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig.

No available hangers in the room. Breakfast was average, should have been served with fruit.

It was secure and clean and the younger members of staff were very helpful.

Poor breakfast only 2 choices both $ 10 for very little and no fresh fruit or pastries on the limited choice menu. Or any fruit juice. The hotel is basic very old school b&b and washed towels every day which is not very sustainable. The verandah was always used by security staff and hence had their noisy iPads etc. The bedrooms have paper thin walls and was kept away on two nights by very noisy guests.

The breakfast was good. The location very convenient.

Plenty of parking. Comfortable veranda. Sat in the lobby. Bathroom available for use downstairs. The room was clean. Air conditioned .big closet. And thank God my room had a refrigerator . That was a big deal. I will definitely be back soon.

No elevator. Every room is upstairs. I could hear everything in the hallway. I think the clubs are nearby. No view but that was ok. I went to sleep.

Sehr liebe Damen in der Küche. Das war absolut das Beste am „Hostel“. Ok für Besuch von Kingston, mehr aber nicht.

Sehr unfreundliches Empfangspersonal. Sehr schaade, weil nicht viele Leute dort sind und das Personal zu 90% am Handy ist. Bett war sauber, aber Lacken dreckig. Boden voller Haare. Keine Ahnung, wann das letzte mal gereinigt wurde.

The location was the only good thing and Mr Patrick was quite friendly.

I detested the fact that this hotel is being renovated and I was oblivious until I got there. I was rudely awakened for the four mornings I was there, by loud hammering and drilling. It was also quite distasteful to be meeting workmen with their pants under their bottoms in the hallway. I also had to hear their base conversations as one of them seemed to be trying to get the attention of one of the female staff members. Additionally, I was unable to sleep in late peacefully and I was extremely disappointed as I was on vacation. I also had to endure a pounding headache due to the construction noises. The backyard is also very unkempt and could do with some nice plants.

The staff at the reception were very kind and patient with me even though my English was not good, and at check-in the lovely secretary ordered a taxi for me so I could buy a SIM and exchange money. Really lovely, thank you very much.

The refrigerator didn't work from the start, but we only closed for 2 nights so we managed without it.

The location is really convenient. Short walk to nearby restaurants and a safe area. Room was quite comfortable too

Not a luxury hotel of course, but you get what you paid for; clean, confortable and safe place to sleep. Jamaican breakfasts was delish.

Shirley Retreat was absolutely amazing and the service was excellent. I had to stay overnight in Kingston and they made the stay very pleasant and welcoming. I will always pick Shirley retreat when I am staying in Kingston
