2 wunderschöne alte Häuser in einer tollen Anlage. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und schön eingerichtet. Sie Gastgeberin hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und nützliche Tipps gehabt. Das Abendessen war super lecker und auch das Frühstück war prima. Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft!!

The owners were super friendly and gave us an upgrade on the rooms without extra charges. We got a whole unit to ourselves, something my children really wanted. The facility was very comfortable.

-The staff were very friendly, but sometimes one of the ladies who served us during meals was unprofessional. -Breakfast could be improved with an additional source of protein, like baked beans, and additional fruits. -Laundry services were not available on holidays; arrangements could be made for guests to use laundry facilities. Since PE's weather is quite unpredictable, a clothes dryer would be of help.

Spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Good location. Comfortable. It is the staff that made the stay so good - very kind and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Rießige Zimmer, mein Zimmer hatte sogar noch ein Wohnzimmer, sehr schöne Atmosphäre, tolles Frühstück, Pool vorhanden, Gemeinschaftsräume vorhanden, sehr nette Gastgeber, haben sogar frühen checkin und am nächsten Tag Kofferaufbewahrung emöglicht

Stayed here for the close walk to St Georges park for the cricket. Lovely big room with everything you want for a short stay. Great breakfast, fabulous honesty bar. Our room was a little noisy in the morning as it was next to the dining room, but it wouldnt put me off staying again. Lovely property

Very close to St George cricket ground & airport. Nice big rooms with a lovely breakfast & honesty bar. 2 houses so choice of 2 x swimming pools. secure parking in a quiet neighbourhood.

Loved how close it was to everywhere we needed to be. Loved the homely feel. Loved the warm welcome, the decor and our beautifully big rooms. Loved how at home we were made to feel.

Beautiful and private place. Great location The owner is very welcoming and caters to your needs. I love how the team handled us as guest our room was perfect. I would like to thank everyone and especially the beautiful lady Jeannet one of the team mates that help around the guest house. She deserves a raise every staff right there deserves a raise. The guest house does not feel like a guest house but it feels like home. You feel loved and special. Im certainly coming back with my wife we had an amazing time there.

The rooms were big and comfortable

TV was a small computer monitor, and the network was open view. We couldn't watch the news or anything. The stay was a disaster, and I will never stay there again until they buy proper TV and subscribe to better network such as DS TV.

Spacious opulent rooms with high ceilings - aircon was incredible. Adapters and sockets aplenty, very convenient! Linen was super! Breakfast was lovely and custom-made - waitrons were fantastic!

The staff is amazing, always willing to help and Thando was great with recommendations on things to do... My kids spent all day and night at the pool and it was just perfect. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and allowing me to host my family Christmas lunch as well❣️

The peaceful and quietness of the environment. Not to mention the cleanliness. Friendly staff, too. I'm definitely coming back there on my next visit.

Best breakfasts we had on our whole trip to SA. Proprietors very friendly and helpful. They even gave us a lift on our first night to our dinner location and took a genuine interest in what we got up to on our far too short stay and were keen to know whether we were enjoying ourselves. All the staff members were kind and helpful too. The guesthouse itself is quite extraordinary (in a good way). It's pretty old by SA standards and is a bit of a mini museum and nice to look around. Oh and they have a two very nice pools. I would like to go back to Port Elizabeth one day for a longer exploration and if I do I will certainly head for this gust house again.

I recently stayed at King George’s Guest House, expecting a 4-star experience based on its excellent reviews. Unfortunately, my stay fell far below these expectations. The room was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, poorly maintained, and lacked the standard of cleanliness and quality one would expect. The towels were worn out, a bleach-stained bathmat was left in the bathroom, and there was visible algae in the shower. The furniture, though handmade, was in poor condition, and the overall environment did not reflect the advertised 4-star rating. When I raised my concerns, the owner was dismissive and defensive, refusing to acknowledge the severity of the issues or offer a resolution. The response I received was unprofessional, and my valid complaints were met with accusations and deflection. As a frequent traveler, I rely on honest reviews to guide my decisions, and I feel it is important to share my experience to ensure others are aware of these shortcomings. I hope the management uses this feedback to improve the guesthouse, as it has the potential to meet the standards it advertises. I cannot recommend this establishment in its current state and urge prospective guests to consider this review before booking.

Homely feel, a home away from home.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable room and tasty breakfast. Owners were really nice, having long chat with us at breakfast. A beautiful character building sympathetically restored. A lovely stay before we sadly returned to UK!
