Naivacha Tent Koh Mak

Beuatiful quiet location with great bungalows and tents with airconditioning. The bunglows have screendoors and the tents screenflaps so you can sleep with the doors open and enjoy the sound of the ocean. Free kayaks and supboards to use for guests. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. They even offered to bring me to a location when I wasn't even staying with them at that moment.

Breakfast is very simple and not a lot of variety.

Die Zelte sind wirklich groß und komfortabel. Die ganze Umgebung ist wunderschön. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und man kann sich super mit ihm unterhalten. Man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben und es herrscht eine familiäre Atmosphäre.

Der Gastgeber Onn ein toller Mann , er holt einen vom Pier ab erklärt viel über die Insel, ist einfach super hilfsbereit und organisiert alles was man möchte. Die Zelte sind ok man weiß was man bucht und sie liegen einfach idyllisch. Ein toller Ort zum Entspannen, aber muss man mögen.

Haben dort gebucht, haben uns aber am gleichen Tag eine neue Unterkunft besorgt. Wer mit Tieren aller Art im Zelt und Bad (der Badebereich ist oben komplett offen und zum Zelt hin nicht ganz verschliessbar....) kein Problem hat, kann dort sicher glücklich sein, für uns war es nichts. Außerdem sehr "in die Jahre" gekommen.

Es war wunderbar ruhig und naturnah (wozu auch die freundlichen Hunde, die Vögel und allerhand kleine Tiere gehören, die nachts übers Dach trappeln). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es ist prima, dass es eine Refill-Möglichkeit für Wasserflaschen gibt.

Die Handtücher sind ziemlich dünn und könnten mal ersetzt werden. Das Bad ist nicht wirklich sauber, auch hier finden sich die Spuren der Natur.

There are way too many dogs running wild on the property.

Wir haben im Zelt Bungalow übernachtet. Mal was anderes und von der Einrichtung her ganz gut. Das Zelt ist in die Jahre gekommen aber ok. Aussicht war schön zum Meer raus. Strand aber nicht zum baden geeignet wegen Steinen. Frühstück war ok.

Es waren Mäuse im Zelt. Also alles in Sicherheit bringen.

Quite and peaceful place. Very nice staff. Bikes for free to take same as the kajak or subboard. Scooter rent, super easy. No papers signed, just trust. Wish that life could be everywhere like that!

Could be some improvements, like more hammocks, more nice chairs to chill, beanbags etc. Maybe the tents needs an update.

Cena była niska adekwatna do warunków i komfortu. Piękny widok na zachód słońca na drewnianej platformie.

Plaża bardzo słaba, nie dało się korzystać z kąpieli. Śniadania mogłyby być bardziej urozmaicone.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr idyllisch, es ist ruhig und sauber, also super zum entspannen. Man braucht auf jeden Fall einen Roller, den kann man aber direkt bei der Unterkunft mieten. Fahrräder kann man sich kostenlos ausleihen. Wenn man im Zelt schläft muss man damit rechnen, dass es Tiere gibt, die haben uns aber nichts getan:) Das Frühstück ist einfach, aber lecker und das Personal ist super nett und hilfsbereit.

Wspaniała lokalizacja. Niesamowity spokój. Przepiękne widoki z namiotu. Bardzo sympatyczny i pomocny właściciel i cała jego załoga.

Wszystko było dla mnie wspaniałe, natomiast to nie jest miejsce dla ludzi, którzy nie są połączeni z przyrodą, bo mogą im przeszkadzać gekony w łazience, myszki i mrówki w namiocie. Nam takie rzeczy nie przeszkadzały.

Il bagno dovrebbe essere un po' ristrutturato

Super schöne, ruhige Alleinlage, nettes Personal, leckeres Frühstück. Bequemes Bett. Wasser wird durch Filteranlagen aufbereitet.

Die Zelte sind ziemlich abgewohnt, es könnte sauberer sein. Schimmelflecken auf den Bettdecken. Kopfkissen für mich zu riesig und unbequem. Abfluss in der Dusche verstopft.

Wer die Natur liebt, ist hier richtig. Sehr ruhig, ein schöner Strand fußläufig zu erreichen, tolles Frühstück. Einen Roller kann ausgeliehen werden. Onn hat uns sehr viel erklärt und gezeigt. Es wird sich sehr für den Naturschutz eingesetzt.

Bungalow was not well maintained....

Secluded, beautiful. Excellent location! Made us feel we were back on an African safari. Friendly staff. Nice that we could borrow bicycles and SUPs to explore the island.

A bit rundown. Although it was nice to be left alone, it was difficult to get the attention of staff. For example we wanted to have garbage collected and new toilet paper but couldn’t get them anywhere so we finally bought our own toilet paper. Maybe there can be a bell at the reception or a WhatsApp number or something. For breakfast it was also very strange. The set breakfast is meat, eggs and pancakes or hash browns, while we are vegetarians. For two of us this didn’t seem to be a problem and they kindly gave stir-fry tofu instead of the meat. But for the third in our party who doesn’t eat egg, it was almost bullying as he didn’t get the stir-fry and wasn’t asked if he wanted anything else such as more pancakes or fruit. Luckily he could make himself a toast as he one morning didn’t get anything at all despite us reminding several times. He left breakfast hungry every day and had to buy snacks at the shop by the road. It was really odd and hopefully it wasn’t on purpose.

Zu weiches Bett

The tents are exceptionally well appointed, with shelves, drawers, hangers, a desk, fan, air conditioning, and a full private bathroom with hot shower and hair dryer. Yoga mats were a thoughtful addition. We could see the ocean from our bed and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. Free kayaks, paddle boards, and bicycles were available. The staff were very responsive and helped arrange a ferry on short notice, including free transport to and from the ferry. The owners were kind and attentive - they brought medicine and cooked a simple meal at no charge when one of us felt unwell.

Koh Mak seemed a little pricier in general than rest of Thailand when it comes to accommodations.

Man ist durch die Zeltunterkunft nicht von der Natur getrennt und fühlt sich mittendrin. Alles was man braucht ist da ohne das etwas für den Komfort vermisst wird. Die AC ist vollkommene ausreichend für ein gutes Raumklima. Es gibt aufgrund der Angelegenheit keine störenden Zivilisationsgeräuche. 🥰

Einmal etwas anderes. Darüber wird man noch lange zu erzählen wissen. Die Menschen an der Office, in der Küche sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Frühstück einfach aber lecker, vor allem auch das Thaifrühstück.

Der Mülleimer in der Toilette müsste täglich geleert werden. Der kleine Strand sollte vom Plastikmüll befreit sein. Es müssten nur eine Zange, ein Müllsack und vielleicht Handschuhe zur Verfügung stehen, dann würden Gäste sicher selber Hand anlegen.

We had such a wonderful stay here, even though it was only for 2 nights! The hospitality was amazing – Muay was so kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, and we really appreciated being able to use the bikes to explore the area. The location was also perfect. We stayed in the tents and were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable everything was – it never felt inconvenient at all. Overall, it was a really lovely experience and we had a great time.

The only downside was the weather, but of course that’s not the owner’s fault :) We’d definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!

Bicycle upkeep is difficult in this weather, with all the sand, rain and salt, so some rust and shifting problems are not surprising. Still, thank you for the working bike!

The bikes where great! And the tent very spacious. Great bed.

Finally a place spared by mass tourism! Very peaceful atmosphere, staff always happy to help. Beach is great but better with water shoes as it is a bit rocky and muddy. Good breakfast. Lovely dogs in the garden. Nearest restaurant is 10-15 minutes away but easy access by bike.

Slightly expensive

Naivacha Tent is the perfect place if you wanna hang out in nature, near the ocean, in quiet and comfortable mood. It's more glamping then camping, the tents are really good, there's enough space and a private bathroom. The staff is very gentle especially Noy, the manager, who does everything for the guest's wishes. There are free bikes to rent and also SUP. Scooters can be rented on site, if there is a question you get help. Breakfast with fantastic view to the ocean. There's also the possibility to help cleaning the beach from trash on Saturday morning which is really recommendable. We did it with about 15 other people and collected 130 kilogramms of (mostly) plastic in 1.5 hours. This helps a bit as the island is very considered to act sustainable. 10 points out of ten for this fantastic resort and island.

We booked here late because we canceled a suspicious acting Resort on Koh Kood. We were late so not much was available. Koh Kood was full and Koh Mak was almost full as well. We lucked out finding availability at Naivacha Tent. We loved the location of our tent. We could see the sunsets every night. There are free bikes and kayaks. There is air conditioning in the tent but we never used it. The fan was sufficient. There is a fridge and free drinking water. Also a toilet and shower in the tent that is not completely sealed off (but the tent has zippered doors). The hot water on demand works very well. The absolute highlight of this place is Noi ! She is GREAT ! She makes this place work 100% ! Very nice and caring person. She helps with everything. Thank you . Breakfast is simple, eggs cooked the way you like. The wifi worked very well at times and was very slow at times. There were cabins to rent as well as the tents. The cabins appeared to be better sheltered from the mosquitoes. We got quite a few bites but we are not sure if it was from the beach or the tent. A real lifesaver was the scooter that we could rent from Noi. We explored the complete island during our 7 days here. There is a nice sandy beach next door owned by the same people. Noi organized our transfer to (and from) the dock as well as our boat to Trat and onward 6 hour bus trip to BKK. Everything went smoothly and as planned.

Wifi is moody. It’s slow and then ok!

Beautiful place with really comfortable tent, kayaks, great staff and good breakfast too. Noy, the manager, is an absolute legend! She really made us feel at home and was always ready to help us.

The Wifi in our tent was a bit unstable, but understanble because you're on an island.

Bit far from Services so you really do need a motorbike

Amazingly friendly staff, great location, tasty breakfast. We explored the island with bicycles and did stand-up paddle. Bungalow was great too.

Great surroundings, very tasty breakfast. The tent was cosy.

The bathroom was not clean when we arrived. Toothpaste splashes on the mirror. Dirty sink. That‘s why the price-performance ratio wasn't quite right for us.

Everything! The location was beautiful sun set right in front of our tent! Noi the manager couldn’t do enough for us she was amazing and so helpful

The property owner Noy is the nicest host we’ve met so far! She contacted us in advance for a free shuttle service from the pier, welcomed us so warm at the accommodation. There are free of charge bikes to take, yoga mats in the tents for peaceful yoga sessions just out in the green. The sea is just in front of you, so you walk outside your tent and can go for a swim in 1 Minute. Noy told us, the best season to come would be December/January hart, then you could even sea the sunset directly into the sea. We have been there in October, which was still a very beautiful time. Would come here anytime again! 🫶🏼

Very well placed near a pier, lots of shops and the island's temple. Very quiet, exactly what I was looking for. Bikes free to use. Great side of the island.

The beach is rocky, but it was possible for me to go to the nearby resort's beach to swim. (A 5min walk)

Beautiful environment, very calm atmosphere. Every evening had a beautiful sunset, we were just watching from our terrace. These few days, living just next to the sea, were incredible. The owner and the staff are very kind and helpful.

Fruits in the garden

Owner just concerned about money. First thing he asked was if we wanted an overpriced scooter; second thing in the morning when we would leave the place (it was just half past 9). Breakfast was basic, ridicoulously little portions. You might want to ask for extra bites each and every time, waiting in between. Hot drinks are just instant Nestlé level. Noise from other guests, so loud all the time. It felt like we were sleeping together (40 cm between the two units)

Exceeded our expectations, lovely natural environment. Good value for money. Air con worked really well, big fridge, and even yoga mat provided. Breakfast adequate. Walking distance to sandy beach, local eatery's available, bicycles provided where good condition (some new) and we organised scooter rental with the property. Just 2min from pier (but no noise) Special mention to the manageress and all her co workers, lovely kind people and will remember you always.

Very peaceful, beautiful view of the sea full of nature and very green . The owner and staff were all so very friendly and welcoming , I got a bicycle to use for travelling around the island free of charge included. Surprisingly no bugs got into the tent it is very secure if you zip it up correctly. Stayed fully dry in storms and the bed was extra comfortable, I would highly recommend

The tents were so wonderful , comfortable, peaceful, in nature , by the beach , quiet ,unique and so relaxing . Noi was an amazing host . She made delicious breakfasts , gave excellent advice and help and she was always kind and flexible about everything . It is a beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere .

They could clean the „beach“

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel with a territory and access to the sea for a child. Original tents for living.

Insects and spiders that crawl into the tent even when it is closed. we have been living in Asia for quite a few years and are used to such surprises

Allora premetto io ho adorato questo soggiorno in tenda ed ho trovato anche giorni di forte vento e pioggia bisogna essere consapevoli che è una tenda dentro a tutti i comfort davvero carina però le vie di accesso sono molto dissestate e con tanta vegetazionw ci vuole il motorino e l'accesso non è facilissimo però se vuoi vivere un esperienza diversa è il Top!! La proprietaria molto gentile e accomodante È vista mare ma solo vista perché non è accessibile per il sole o il bagno

Nous sommes restés 4 jours; bien qu'excentré de toute commodité, cet établissement est exceptionnel. Les chambres (tentes safari) sont très confortables, équipées de climatisation et frigo et sont particulièrement bien entretenues. Le staff est très amical et serviable (UN GRAND MERCI à Noi et Hon !). Location de vélos et scooters sur place; l'équipe est venue nous chercher à l'arrivée du speedboat et nous a aussi ramené. Le séjour a été très agréable, l'établissement étant au calme près de la mer et le petit déjeuner sur mesure était au top. quelques opportunités de restauration à env. 5-10 min à pied, un petit supermarché à 10min et une belle plage de sable à 5 min à pied. Cet établissement est idéal pour ceux qui cherchent le calme tout en voulant parcourir l'île en vélo ou scooter. Nous avons été vraiment enchanté par tout dans cet établissement !

What a great find! It was exactly what we needed...quiet, peacefu on the beachl & a very good price especially considering it was New Year’s Eve & Day! We loved it so much that we did an extra 2 nights on top of our other two nights. If you like to explore, beautiful white sand beaches & snorkeling then Koh Mak is the place for you! The owner Ong is a local & knows everything about the island.

The owner picked us up from the pier and we felt very welcomed. Amazing man, very friendly and helpful. A lovely place to stay to enjoy the nature and to relax. It’s 3 minuters walk from the closest restaurant at another hotel and 5 minuters from a very delicious and beautiful seafood restaurant. Definitely coming back!

Fint og hyggeligt sted. Ligger lidt langt fra indkøb, men på scooter går det let. Flink ejer og personale. Den nærliggende strand er lækker.
