The staff was very friendly and accommodating although I was surprised that an ice machine was not available … restaurant staff managed to fill a large vase to accommodate our overnight needs. Then realized that the coffee machine didn’t come with coffee or condiments. Also didn’t have any drink glasses of any kind so we enjoyed our wine in a coffee cup. No big deal just a little surprised. Really enjoyed the elevator ride with my SUV into the underground garage (see attached video)!

Reviewed Apr 15, 2025We had booked this hotel before, because it is well positioned for when you need to travel to Oaxaca coast without going to Oaxaca City centre. It is a modern comfortable hotel with spacious rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds and all the modern conveniences. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and very decent breakfast (enough choice and very tasty).
It served our purpose twice, but if you are looking to visit Oaxaca, you may be better off in the city centre. Also, it was fairly cheap last time, but this time I had to pay significantly more.

The hotel is modern, comfortable and unpretentious. Great caring staff, very decent breakfast included. Underground parking, good Internet connection, spacious clean rooms, iron and ironing board, plenty of space in the bathroom to leave all the necessary stuff out.

Reviewed Nov 2, 2024Maybe because we paid a premium (in town during Dia Del Muertos), but we didn’t think this hotel lived up to its other reviews (mainly Booking.com) or pictures. The staff were friendly and generous - we spoke some Spanish and they some English which we really appreciated. The room was big and the bed was comfy. Main issues: Gym - this was really a poor excuse for a gym - both bikes were broken and the only other equipment was a treadmill and a couple of dumbbells. Breakfast - very poor. Seemed like an afterthought- served in a conference room, all cutlery and plates seemed to be odd and barely any choice. Room - Our shower and window blind were both broken. The staff did attend to our room straight away, but the shower could not be fixed (a change of room was not offered but we were only there one night) Laundry room was opposite our room so it felt as though we were in the non guest areas of the hotel - the door was always open for the staff to go in and out.

The hotel is not great, on the surface things look fine, but we paid an absolute premium for a hotel that did not deliver. The gym is awful. It’s a room with hard floor, no mats, two bikes - both broken, and one treadmill and a few light dumbells, and no air con. The breakfast room is a conference room with a buffet. The hot food was ok, but it was really visually unappealing and not upto the level you’d expect for a 4 star hotel. In our room, our shower was broken, when we asked for someone to fix it, the staff responded straight away, but it didn’t get fixed as they didn’t have the part needed. The blind in our room had been wedged so it wouldn’t open, so we couldn’t see out of the window. They did also fix this quickly when we asked. Maybe if you’re there for business or really just need somewhere to stay, it’s fine, but definitely don’t choose this place if you’re on holiday to see Oaxaca. It’s a 10 minute cab ride to the centre. We walked there and back, which in some respects was great to see the real Oaxaca - and experience what most tourists won’t, but, the hotel is on a busy dual carriageway so it’s not the nicest of walks for at least the first 15 mins.

The room was very spacious and contained more than enough towels and blankets for my family. We really appreciated the free parking and breakfast. The large window in the room allowed for plenty of natural light to come in and the room had an AC.
The free breakfast was very much appreciated but the food came out in small quantities at a time and we couldn’t all eat at the same time.

I should have read more about what hotel provides. You get breakfast and the staff is really nice. For a hotel named "LIFE" there was not much available such as a pool or spa services to live up to its name. Other than that, I will most likely return because I value my rest.
