The staff were very welcoming, providing me with lots of information as well as some welcome gifts. The hotel was amazing - like stepping back to the time of the dynasties, wooden beams, stone floors. There were comfortable places to lounge in the central courtyard (which the hotel cat also enjoyed!) My room had all mod-cons, a good shower with plenty of hot water, comfortable bed & toiletries. A magical place to stay within the walls of the ancient city.

I was worried about the mosquitoes but the room had netting on the windows & an anti-mosquito plug-in.

Offrono colazione occidentale o cinese a scelta, entrambe buone. Lo staff è vero punto in più di questa struttura, cordiali, gentili, disponibili e ti fanno sentire subito a casa

Struttura meravigliosa, dimora storica di uno dei banchieri del paese. Conservata perfettamente! Location comoda nell’antica città di Ping Yao, ma in zona tranquilla. Personale disponibile e molto molto accogliente. Ci hanno aiutato anche nei transfer e nella visita della città. Ottima esperienza

Prachtig historisch gebouw en dito kamer. Lekker ontbijt. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Eigenares is zeer behulpzaam en spreekt excellent Engels. Prima douche.

Airco kon stiller zijn.

L’atmosfera fantastica, particolarmente di sera, ti trasportava in un tempo lontano. Molto gentile la signora in reception, finalmente una persona che parlava inglese. Ci ha aiutato con il pass per i siti da vistare e illustrato la mappa.

Pulizia da rivedere nelle stanze, la stanza aveva bisogno di arieggiare. Stanza piccolissima, inadatta per due persone. Ci è stata servita una colazione continentale mediocre senza chiederci se avremmo preferito quella locale. Tavoli insufficienti per gli ospiti. Mediocre anche il pick up dalla stazione, pagato il triplo di Didi e camminato il doppio, alle 14.00 del pomeriggio avremmo gradito essere lasciati al west gate (abbiamo praticamente parcheggiato anche noi e camminato lungo le mura) e prendere un mezzo per arrivare all’hotel. Ritengo che 5 stelle siano decisamente troppe.

Location was good. Bit on the side of the old town and not in the noisy area. Staff was very kind and eager to help with everything. Breakfast was fine. They make ether a western or Chinese breakfast plate for you. The hotel looks very cute and original. If you are a fan of these kind of places i would for sure recommend!

Por poner alguna pega, la cama es un poco dura acostumbrados a lo que tenemos en España, pero aún así dormí muy muy bien, así que eso tampoco podría ponerlo como algo malo

Szczególne podziękowania należą się Hana i Funny. Dzięki ich życzliwości oraz ogromnej wiedzy otrzymaliśmy wiele cennych informacji o Pingyao i najciekawszych miejscach wartych odwiedzenia. Profesjonalizm, serdeczność i zaangażowanie personelu zasługują na najwyższą ocenę. Z przyjemnością wrócimy tutaj przy kolejnej wizycie.

The property is very clean. The courtyard vibes took me back to ancient China. It such a great break from boring and concrete wall hotels in big cities. Funny and Anna were very friendly and helpful too. They made everything easy.

De ligging is super. Overal dichtbij. Het verblijf is heel sfeervol met een leuke binnenplaats waar je kan ontspannen. Personeel erg behulpzaam. Bedankt Funny en Anna!!

Het hotel is volledig in oude stijl opgezet. De enorme en vredige rust die er hangt komt heerlijk over. De staff was erg vriendelijk, we kregen zelfs een upgrade, en s'avonds werden zelfs naar de locatie gebracht van de mooie lichtshow, welke geproyecteerd werd op de stadsmuur. Erg indrukwekkend. Was op de zaterdagavond.

Otimo atendimento da Funny e da Hana.

La atención del personal, han sido encantadores desde el primer minuto. El emplazamiento, aunque no es céntrico, es una muy buena opción para terminar conociendo la ciudad. El hotel en si es muy acogedor. Sin duda, muy recomendable

Het hotel was een typisch chinees huis met binnentuin. De kamers lagen rond de binnentuin, met elk zijn rode lantaarn, heel charmant. Alle elementen in de kamer ademde geschiedenis uit, zeer aangename ervaring. Lekker ontbijt.

La ubicación en el interior de la muralla, muy cerca de los edificios históricos. Y también quiero resaltar la excelente atención que nos dieron tanto Helen como Anne. Totalmente recomendable

La réalité a dépassé les photos que nous avons consultés. C'était le séjour que nous pensions être le moins confortable ou le moins équipé : Mais quel choc quand nous sommes arrivés dans ce lieu magnifique. Les chambres sont géniales, le charme de l’hôtel est indescriptible, la confort de la literie, le patio au calme et le petit déjeuner sympa. Nous avons eu droit à des petits cadeaux en plus. Le cadre du lieu est unique et magique. Le personnel est très très agréable. Fenny et Helen, vous êtes les meilleures hôtes que nous avons eu. Très souriantes, attentives et disponibles. Elles nous ont inondées de bons conseils et de leur bienveillance. Merci 谢谢

Amazing place to stay in Pingyao. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. We loved everything about this hotel: authenticity, location, service and its interior.

È un luogo molto suggestivo, arredato come un tempo, ha un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, la manager è molto gentile. Colazione adeguata ( non abbiamo capito se potevamo scegliere l'opzione cinese, che abbiamo visto servire ad altri, mentre a noi è stata data la versione continentale, ma va bene così.) Con un piccolo prezzo aggiuntivo veramente basso la gentilissima manager ci ha ritirato e riportato in stazione.

Se devo proprio trovare un difetto la mancanza di prese ai lati del letto, il fatto che la testiera del letto sia sotto l'unica finestra da cui entra il freddo. Qualche difficoltà di comunicazione con le ragazze dell' albergo, mentre la manager parla un ottimo inglese ed è molto gentile

OMG we actually only did a single night here but Fanny and Hana made it perfect. We arrived about 8pm and the hotel is just beautiful at night. Our room was stunning with a bed fit for a queen. The mattress is firm but we have found this in all hotels so far and it is preferred by us. We were treated with a welcome gift and collected from the station for 30. There was normal toilet and wash facilities and very beautiful courtyard. I didn’t have time to do my original plans but instead of just staying in the hotel Fanny and Hana helped us to go do some calligraphy which we desperately wanted to do and then helped us navigate to the main streets within the wall which was just beautiful. We can’t rate the hotel, location or staff enough 10/10

Las camas no eran muy cómodas

Tout d'abord, un grand merci à Fanny et Helen pour ce merveilleux accueil et tous les efforts fournis pour que notre séjour se passe à merveille. L'hôtel se situe juste à côté des remparts ouest et offre une expérience unique dans un lieu pittoresque typique des anciennes banques de Pingyao. En dehors de la beauté du lieu, l'hôtel est également confortable et bien équipé. Séjour parfait pour une ou deux nuits et nous avons même eu droit à une upgrade gratuite, je recommande vivement pour les personnes de passage à Pingyao !

Tout était parfait, mais à noter que les lits sont un peu durs pour ceux que ça pourrait déranger (nous avons très bien dormi en tout cas)

Very beautiful typical Chinese mansion. We felt brought back in time. Helen, the host, was super kind to help us with the tickets, the transfer to and from the hotel. Everything was perfect. We highly recommend this hotel!!!

The building is part of a prestigious historic residence. We had the opportunity to enjoy an authentic experience in a traditional home, cared for in every detail. The staff who welcomed us were exceptionally attentive throughout our stay, assisting us with great kindness and availability in every request or need. It is rare to find a team so thoughtful and courteous.

A lovely boutique hotel in a beautiful old building. Comfortable, warm and clean. A gem! I had such a lovely stay. Helen, Fanny and manager Alice are so helpful and friendly. Alice speaks excellent English. Perfectly located for the beautiful old city of Pingyao.

The rooms were very comfy and clean, and the staff were very helpful. Hellen explained the map of the ancient city to us, as well as where to go for lunch and dinner. The hotel offers some tours that we did without problems and at a good price. They offer a pickup from the station and back to the station also the driver was very good. If we come back to Pingyao we will stay at the same hotel.

This stay was, as we knew it would be, a unique experience. This hotel is special, keeping its nature antique and befitting its very old, traditional architecture. We loved being able to stay in such a place, but still have key facilities such as reverse cycle air conditioning and a good bathroom. The staff were helpful and dedicated to running the hotel smoothly for visitors. We appreciated the help we receptor staff in booking drivers for transfers and a day trip to Mianshan Scenic Area. The hotel is a short walk to a major gateway and to shopping streets.

An improvement in hotel arrangements could include having a better dining room for guests. We chose a 'family room' to give us space on a single bed for our open cases. It was a good decision. Some more decoration ( in keeping with the antique nature of the hotel ) could improve the 'warmth' of rooms.

The building itself is absolutely stunning — an authentic 200-year-old residence that truly makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The location is excellent as well, with all the main highlights of Pingyao just a pleasant 15–20 minute walk away. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, always happy to chat, offer great suggestions, or help organise activities. They even reached out proactively to arrange our transfers to and from the train station, which made everything so easy. A wonderful stay overall — highly recommended for anyone visiting Pingyao!

Wspaniały zabytkowy budynek z niepowtarzalnym klimatem. Rezydencja bankiera lokalnego banku z XIX w. Hotel prowadzi super sympatyczna i pomocna menadżerka (Alice) wraz ze swoją rodziną, do tego wszyscy mówią po angielsku. (w Chinach to rzadkość). Bardzo dobra kawa z porządnego ekspresu. W hotelu mieszka też kot -ciekawski i bardzo miły.

Charming boutique hotel in Pingyao's historical walled city. Very well organised shuttle service from/to highspeed station. It's a traditional building, so you should expect small-ish rooms and a lack of some facilities such as elevators - in fairness, there's only one floor, but visitors with mobility issues should be aware. Otherwise, perfect location in a quiet street, authentic, atmospheric decoration, and amazing staff that may not have great English but more than compensate with great service. Cute welcome presents at arrival. A shoutout to Helen in particular - she was super-helpful!

Todo, la ubicación, la amabilidad del personal, Fanny y Helen, nos trataron como si estuviéramos en casa. Nos dejaron unos detalles en la habitación, preciosos por cierto, un gesto que te hace sentir especial. Es un hotel familiar con mucho encanto. Las instalaciones muy bien preparadas. Puedes elegir entre desayuno estilo continental o oriental, que dure el que elegimos nosotros y muy bueno.

We only had a short stay in Pingyao as part of a trip to China but this hotel was perfect for it. The staff were friendly and helpful, letting us know the best places to visit and providing us with a map. We had to leave early the next day and they even sent us on our way with a packed breakfast. The hotel itself is gorgeous, really putting you at the heart of the historic city. We were given a choice to upgrade our room and it was beautiful. A very special hotel in a very special place.

Le cadre est exceptionnel et authentique, dans une ancienne résidence d'un marchand (XVIII° siècle), avec du mobilier d'époque. 4 maisons autour d'une cour intérieure.

La configuration du lit (pour respecter les lieux d'origine) ne permet pas d'acceder au lit sur les côtés et d'avoir une table de chevet.

Alice y su ayudante han sido muy amables y serviciales. Tuvieron unos detalles muy buenos con nosotros, El hotel es un lugar encantador y céntrico. Muy recomendable.

Nuestra estancia fue de 2 días. No nos hicieron la habitación. Se podría mejorar la limpieza.

De service was erg goed. Pro-actief gecommuniceerd door Alice over pickup-mogelijkheid wat uiteindelijk erg handig bleek. De accommodatie ligt mooi aan de rand van de ommuurde oude binnenstad, beschikt over ruime kamers en heeft een leuke binnentuin. De service van Helen en Alice is bovendien erg prettig.

Het ontbijt had wellicht iets uitgebreider gekund.
