Hostel JIN

Very clean and a great location

Location is excellent. Nishikujo station just 5 minutes walk away. There is Life supermarket nearby that open till 12am. And your usual konbinis too. For quick and budget meal, there's Yoshinoya and Sukiya. And McDonald's too. Clear instructions of check-in is shared before your arrival. Every access is using a passcode so you don't even have to carry a key. Lounge area is spacious and cozy. Free washer and dryer. 3 female showers and toilet but I never have to wait to use. The twin room is spacious and even has its own sink. Strategic power outlet point at the bed. Minimal interaction with the staff and they're quite responsive to my inquiries. I only see 2 other guests during my stay.

I need to wait a while for hot water.

Czyste, pachnące pokoje oraz łazienki. Cisza i spokój.

Camas duras

L'emplacement et la gentillesse du gérant

Location, price, and how I have my own sink

Bed and pillow were quite uncomfortable, the room was a bit dusty, but nothing too concerning

Great location

The cafe is permanently closed could do with a vending machine... But 711 is right next door

What I liked most about the hostel was the staff (including remote ones). They were incredibly attentive and always quick to respond whenever we had a question or concern. Anything that came up was handled right away and resolved efficiently, which made the stay feel smooth and worry-free. Their helpful attitude really added to the overall experience.

The hot water shower technically worked, but it was a bit tricky to figure out. The knob design is different from what we’re used to (and varies a lot across Japan), so it took some trial and error. The temperature also tended to fluctuate between warm and cool, instead of staying consistently hot. Because of that, we tried to keep our shower time and frequency to a minimum.

Ottima tutto perfetto!

Good location, clean, comfortable room. Easy communication with owner about luggage after check out. Recommend the place.

Great cost benefit, right next to station and close to Universal!

Bestes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in Ōsaka mit sehr guter Anbindung.

Great stay at Hostel Jin Osaka! The staff were kind and helpful, the place was very clean, and the location is super convenient near the station. Cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Great location with a super close station opposite to the hostel. Many restaurants and shops. Moreover the room was spacious and in the shower room they had whasing machine and a dryer, for free!! This was a must. A special mention to one of the staff members - Inho- he was so nice to us and help us when we were in trouble . So millions of thanks .

Everything

Nothing. All perfect

Bathrooms and facilities were great.

The only complaint was the mattresses were very thin and uncomfortable.

Although no permanent staff all arrangement in line were fine as were the codes. Clear with large communal area although didn’t feel a hostel where folk socialised. Bedroom was clear and had sink fridge and microwave. Showers and toilets always clean. Right next to J loop station so easy to connect around Osaka and doorstep for Universal. Would definitely return

Nothing

We are travelling for 7 months and reviewing everywhere we have stayed. First of all the location is great if going to USJ, the hostel itself is nice and very secure and as standard in Japan, the bathrooms are very clean

Not a problem for me but maybe for others, no staff around. Biggest problems though were the very thin mattresses which are rock hard and uncomfortable. The other is the stone cold floor in the room making the room very cold. Could be fixed easily enough by putting a mat down to make it warmer and be removed for the hot summer months

The place was very clean and bright. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms are very spacious. The owners are very nice and helpful and answer all the questions very fast!

The AC in our room only heated up the upper bed. If you get cold easily get the top bed.

Everything was good! Nice location to move & access the airport, the room was clean and the staff was so kind. It is not a rich hotel of course but the quality is way too good for the price. I am definitely coming back for the next time we visit Osaka again.

No bad points.

Location is perfect to access everywhere in the city. Hotel is clean, rooms are comfy with everything you need. You don't see the staff often but it's always a pleasure to interact with them, as they're very helpful (and speak english !)

Nothing

Very nice, quiet and modern Hostel. Everything was very clean. The entrance area with the small terrace is very cozy and invites you to chill some minutes and drink a coffee before you go out exploring Osaka. For Coffee Connaisseurs, the Marzocco machine is incredible ;) The JR Station is a 2min walk from the hostel. My girlfriend appreciated that there are separate shower rooms for Womens that you can lock with a Code. The Two Washing Machines you can freely use are an absolute plus.

The property was clean and had the amenities we needed! The hostel has a nice living room and kitchen which we used daily. The manager was friendly and welcoming and didn’t hesitate to help us with any of our requests :)

Clean rooms and bathrooms. not much space in rooms, but it is standard in Japan

Location is amazing. Easy to reach everything but it’s not downtown. It’s quiet.

I liked pretty much everything here.

Facilities of the hostel, such as toilet, bathrooms and common area were excellent. It was very clean and in good location.

Futon was a bit hard for sleeping, but that is a Japanese style

The facilities are excellent. Will go again

The room was decently big and the hostel was right next to the station making it easy to get around Osaka.

The bed was quite hard because the mattress was only 3cm thick.

Amazing location for what we were after during our stay in Osaka, also very close to USJ. Could visit most popular destinations/wards by train in ~20-40mins. Located outside the train station, right across the street, cannot even put into words how good it felt to only need to walk another 1-2min after a long day of walking. 2 7-Elevens right next to the station for easy meals/snacks and a moderate selection of places to eat just next door. The room, toilets and showers were nice and clean during our stay. Sufficient space in the common area to chill and eat food.

These did not bother me much during my stay but for others to know, the walls are extremely thin and the mattress is quite firm. Providing disposable slippers would have been nice and convenient.

Sitting area in the 1 floor and patio outside was nice to have

A bit costly.

Location is perfect for universal studios and the aquarium

Did not see any staff during my stay which was nice for a no fuss admission and check out but would have been nice.

Clean, comfy, close to Osaka Loop Line

The location is absolutely perfect if you want to go to Universal! Also thought the staff was great and very kind. Facilities were clean as well. Great place on a budget!

Beds are hard but that's the only downside.

Great location, clean facilities, staff very responsive via email. The price was very reasonable for what you get.

Beds are a little hard

We really enjoyed the handy location nearby to the train station, with a 7/11 almost opposite. The staff were very friendly and happy to chat with us when we saw them. The facilities are clean, the shared kitchen has enough space to prepare some basic meals with good fridge space too. Our room was clean with a very useful fridge freezer and desk included. We liked the bar which was open in the lounge area on Friday and Saturday nights, the drink selection is mostly spirits/wine. We really liked the free laundry facilities with detergent provided, this was very handy.

We stayed in a twin bunk room and the beds were a little hard. We had hoped that the cafe (which was also the bar on the weekend nights) would've been open fot coffee etc but it was not, maybe this is due to the impact of Covid? The water temperature in both the women's and men's showers could be temperamental needing to be run for a little bit to get hot some of the time.

- quiet; we barely saw or heard any other guests - clean facilities; communal bathrooms and showers were kept very clean - close to the subway station and convenience stores - 12 minutes from Universal Studios, meaning we could get there early! - option for outdoor seating in communal areas was nice

- mattresses were a little hard - all of the flooring is concrete, perhaps slippers would be good for when using the communal facilities or moving around the room

Relaxing atmosphere. Feel like I’m at my own apartment the entire stay. The staff is helpful and responsive. Convenient location. Very near the station, easy to get around. A lot of restaurants and bars, convenience stores that opens late. If you looking for a quiet but convenient place, and are an anxious person, this is the place!

The cleanliness, the amenities, and the overall feeling of it

Nothing really to complain

incredible online service with helpful staff reply message immediately and really early self check-in started from 00:00 on the booking day!!! though we never meet the staff during this stay, the instructions are very clear for every entrance to each area, and don’t forget to fill up the form of your stay. 2 mins. straight walk from JR NISHIKUJO station exit with elevator. we got a bunk beds room for two persons, with sink, refrigerator, microwave and desk inside. sockets and night light at every bed. well cleaning, well air conditioning, well equipped, even got free washing machine and dryer in the shower room! it supposed to be full booking but we rarely met others in the hostel, everyone keeps quiet there! it pops up oneday after a long search for the stay in OSAKA, that’s why i think it must be a hidden list on websites and we got luck this time!

only stairs to rooms on 2nd floor but the stairs are big enough for carrying suitcases. also though there is no baggage storage service, it is totally not a problem for such a good place and other great service.

The facility is very interesting in a good way. The location is excellent, very convenient and away from those hot busy travelers spots. The bed was a little too hard & narrow, but for the price I paid, it's good enough. The shared shower & toilets were clean. I would definitely recommend it to the younger people or a group of travelers.

The sound proof was not very good inside so I could hear my neighbors at night.

This is in the perfect location in Osaka! You're one train stop away from Universal and like 2 stops away from Dotonburi. There are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and you're just 2 minutes walking to the train station! But it's so quiet! The cafe downstairs no longer serves drinks, but it's still a nice space to relax or have dinner. The room was huge! We had plenty of space with our own sink, a fridge, microwave, desk, storage...it was perfect! We really loved our stay here. And the bathrooms and everything else were sparkling clean.

Everything was great!
