Easy going atmosphere.. there is only a communal bathroom but to my surprise very clean and not crowded at all although the hotel was fully booked. The facility and communal areas were comfortable. The pool is a great added benefit. We enjoyed the stay and as family of 4 it was perfect for 1 night..
The breakfast is very plain and anything additional you have to pay. I must have missed the small print but expected a full breakfast service. The rooms were clean and comfortable but a aircon to cool it down would have been a great added benefit.

Unfortunately, the term “hotel” was misleading, as this is more of a backpackers. You only receive a room and must share all other facilities. The photos suggested a more spacious setting, which did not meet our expectations. Due to this, we chose not to stay for the two nights we had booked.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2025Fantastic and well thought out place that will not only excite the mountain bikers but also trail runners and anyone looking to enjoy some time out in the beautiful countryside of Elgin. The staff are incredible! They remember your name which really stood out for me especially as we were a large group of people. It’s those small things that make you feel at home. Food and coffee was great and the bicycle museum was a really nice surprise and very thorough and interesting.

Being an open space you can hear the other people in the lounge/dining room area in the background when you are in your room (not too loudly). But they are pretty strict about times of quite and most visitors are respectful so we have not had a problem with it.

The lunch and Dinner was very delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an opportunity to go and visit the bicycle Museum. We will definitely come and visit again.
