We had a really lovely stay with our kids right in the heart of the Medina of Tangier. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. The cozy little lobby, the Moroccan tea and freshly baked treats immediately created a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are small but very nicely done. There’s a lot of attention to detail, with beautiful light, tactile surfaces, linen, subtle scents and other little touches that make the place feel very special and engage all the senses. The real highlight is the amazing rooftop terrace, with a great view eastwards over the harbour. It’s a wonderful place to sit and take in the atmosphere of Tangier. Breakfast was another highlight: a huge and delicious Moroccan breakfast, with lots of different things to try. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, giving us great recommendations and even taking care of our luggage on our last day. A really charming place in a fantastic location, we would happily come back.

Très belle hotel, le patio central est magnifique, la piscine est agréable, idéalement situé, proche de la Kasba, de la plage et du centre de la Médina. Pas de problème pour se garer à proximité (10 min)

L’emplacement, l’accueil, les installations. Magnifique Riad décoré avec goût. Un vrai havre de paix , le personnel fait tout pour vous faire plaisir . Ils sont à l’écoute et très attentionné. La chambre est magnifique, literie très confortable, linge de lit et de toilette de qualité. L’espace piscine est accueillant et bien aménagé. Nous avons fait l’expérience du spa avec un vrai Hamman marocain. Nous avons soupé sur place , repas copieux et délicieux. Merci à toute l’équipe pour cette parenthèse au cœur de la médina.

Belle chambre et belle salle de bain. La taille des pièces est très bien. Tout était fonctionnel. Air climatisé fonctionnel. La piscine est un must vue la chaleur. C’était génial.

Localisation dans la médina, il faut aimer être dans cet environnement pour apprécier la localisation.

Muy bonito y cómodo. Con un toque de modernidad pero sin perder su esencia. La zona de la piscina está muy bien para disfrutarla tras un día de turismo. Muy cómodo para entrar y salir de la medina. Bajo reserva te pueden preparar una cena. Nosotros la disfrutamos en la terraza y fue una experiencia estupenda.

Podrían poner alguna hamaca más en la piscina. El espacio alrededor es escaso, pero quizá en la terraza superior ... Varios días que llegamos estaban todas ocupadas (solo hay 4). Por el resto todo estuvo bien.

Ich hatte einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Dar Shaan und kann das Riad uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Mein Zimmer war geräumig und sehr sauber. Besonders schön fand ich die Dachterrasse, die sich hervorragend zum Sitzen und Entspannen eignet. Es gibt dort auch einen kleinen Pool, den ich während meines Aufenthalts allerdings nicht genutzt habe. Die Lage ist hervorragend: Das Riad liegt mitten in der Medina, gleichzeitig sind die Kasbah, der Strand und auch die Bereiche außerhalb der Medina mit dem Taxi schnell zu erreichen. Trotz der Lage in der Medina hatte ich keine Schwierigkeiten, das Riad zu finden. Das Frühstück war gut und das gesamte Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt und eine klare Empfehlung für Rabat.

C’est un beau Riad, très propre et calme L’accueil étais impeccable Tout était parfait pour une nuit.

Vi bodde i suit på bottenvåningen, det var svalt och behagligt under vår vistelse. Riad var belägen mitt i det gamla medina, men i ett lungt område längre bort från den livliga marknaden. Det var väldigt nära till parkeringen så inte långt att bära väskor. Jag gillade att det fanns automater med vatten i korridorerna, det fina terassen på taket. Vi använde inte poolen, vatten var ganska varmt när vi återvände till Riaden på eftermiddagar i juli. Väldigt tillmötesgående personal.

Egentligen inget. Men det hade varit bra med en kaffeautomat i restaurangdelen så att man skulle själv kunna fylla på kaffe under dagen mellan måltiderna. Men vi hade vattenkokare på rummet så det gick att lösa. Våra barn bodde i ett rum på våning 2, de var lite för varmt tyckte dem (kylning fungerade svagt).

Une très belle découverte ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce joli Riad. La chambre est grande, confortable et agréable. Le personnel est très accueillant, souriant et vraiment sympathique. Le Riad est très calme aucun bruit, même dans la rue. Un vrai bonheur pour se reposer, le rooftop est également très agréable, parfait pour profiter de la tranquillité Le petit-déjeuner est copieux, à volonté avec de très bons produits locaux un vrai régal ! 😋 La piscine est un peu petite, mais cela n’enlève absolument rien au charme du Riad qui ressemble à un véritable petit jardin en plein cœur de la ville Une adresse que nous recommandons sans hésiter et où nous reviendrons avec plaisir ❤️

Petit havre de paix dans les petites ruelles de la vieille ville de Rabat. Le personnel est adorable, le petit dejeuné est délicieux et le lit est très confortable ! J’ai adoré mon séjour et j’aurai tellement aimé resté plus longtemps. Je n’y ai passé qu’une nuit mais c’était assez pour me ressourcer ! Je reviendrai très certainement pour un plus long séjour.

Het ontbijt was erg goed. Wel warm in de ontbijtruimte. De ligging in de medina. Vriendelijk personeel. En fijne douche!

Parkeergelegenheid is niet gunstig. Wel dichtbij, maar erg druk. Zwembadje is aan de kleine kant en daardoor niet uitnodigend.

Struttura nella medina di Rabat, a pochi passi anche dalla kasbah. Cena e colazione discrete, con proposte sia dolci che salate. Il cortile del riad è bellissimo, la stanza avrebbe bisogno di qualche attenzione al dettaglio in più. Il ragazzo marocchino all’accoglienza è stato gentilissimo.

Excellent place to stay. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Drinks on arrival at rooftop were appreciated. We were a family of four with 2 young kids and rooms split over 3 floors but this wasn't an issue and seemed to work fine. Really clean and tidy rooms and property. Spectacular court yard with swing which the kids enjoyed. Close to the beach and Kasbah. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Also, really appreciated the guy on reception running out after me trying to hand back our kids soft toys which we'd forgotten on our way to the taxi after picking up our luggage. It just showed they go the extra mile here!

J'apprécie particulièrement la qualité des chambres, où une attention méticuleuse est portée aux détails. Le personnel se distingue par son amabilité et sa prévenance.

Expérience très décevante. La prestation de massage ainsi que la masseuse n'étaient pas du tout professionnelles. Par ailleurs, la piscine manquait nettement d'hygiène ; nous avons retrouvé de nombreux cheveux flottants pendant que nous nagions. Elle était vraiment très sale. Le sèche cheveux dans ma chambre était sur le point d'exploser.

J’ai beaucoup aimé l’emplacement de l’hôtel très proche des Oudayas et pas trop enfoncé dans la médina. Le standing du Riad est très bon et rénové avec soin. La piscine sur le toit vraiment le petit plus et le petit déjeuner est plutôt bon

Riad très bien placé, calme, un personnel souriant et sympathique. Le petit-déjeuner était très bien et très bon.

La gentillesse et le professionnalisme du personnel pendant tout le séjour. C’est la deuxième fois que nous séjournons dans cet établissement et nous reviendrons avec plaisir. Merci à Sedik pour son accueil et son aide tout au long du séjour. La dame et le monsieur au petit déjeuner étaient d’une grande gentillesse. Le petit déjeuner offre beaucoup de choix. Le Riad a un charme authentique, c’est un bijou. Comme le 1ier séjour, les chambres étaient très propres. La piscine a été appréciée en ces journées chaudes. L’emplacement est parfait, à pied de la médina, la marina et des Oudayas.

Beautiful oasis right near the kasbah. The rooftop pool was such a treat, peaceful and private. Breakfast was delicious! Loved that there was an elevator. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Decor was beautiful and location was amazing!

Just a small issue with the aircon not working in our room during our stay. We were provided with a fan, but it was still quite hot. This didn’t affect how much we enjoyed our stay. And the staff were raking immediately action to get the issue sorted.

Ruime en comfortabele kamer met een groot bed, een prachtige binnenplaats en een heerlijk zwembad op het dakterras. De locatie midden in de medina is ideaal (alle bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand) en het ontbijtbuffet was prima.

Minpunt: de airco werkte niet optimaal.

Posizione e colazione molto buone entrambe. Camera doppia troppo piccola. Bagno comodo ma l’acqua usciva facilmente dall’ampia doccia allagando parte del bagno. Molto apprezzata la terrazza con piscina e la possibilità di bere qualcosa all’ombra all’aperto con vista sui tetti di Rabat. Parcheggio gratuito in strada, ma vicinissimo al Riad. Complessivamente lo consiglierei.

Localização excelente, muito charmoso, dentro da medina, perto das principais atrações de Rabat.

We loved everything about Dar Shaan, the staff couldn't do enough for us, the Riad was very clean, our room (triple) was very spacious, breakfast was plentiful, we loved the outdoor area by the pool, it is very central and easy to get to. We couldn't recommend it enough.

My room had very high ceiling and air conditioner was a vent high up in the wall, unfortunately we didn't get any benefit from air conditioner

Front desk/ reception was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best we had in all of Morocco in terms of service and selection.

We stayed on the ground level. Would have preferred an upper level room but as we were traveling with children I understand that the private connecting rooms of the riad are located on the first floor.

The air conditioner was not working. The one fan provided was not enough to combat the heat in the room. Had to leave bathroom window open to get air which led to a small critter getting into the room that my husband had to chase out. We were told that air conditioner should have been fixed by our second day stay but it was not. Your staff were very good, compensated us with wine and drinks first night, that was appreciated. It would have been nice to have been notified on day 1&2 that air conditioner was not going to get fixed.

Pool is small, and when people reserve sunbeds it is not nice My room was on ground floor, which meant I could hear everyone come in. We had a very loud group staying the same time for us, and they did spoil it for us (but not the staff fault)

LA chambre était spacieuse et très bien décorée, établissement très propre, personnel accueillant et gentil et à l'écoute... Le petit-déjeuner était également très bon.

La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas dans la chambre. Enfin suite à un problème d'embarquement, ma conjointe n'a pas pu me rejoindre et j'ai décidé et averti le personnel le soir de mon arrivée (vendredi 19/06) de mon départ le lendemain (samedi 20/06) au lieu du dimanche, je ne suis resté qu'une nuit et n'ai consommé qu'un petit déjeuner sur les 4 prévus. A ce titre j'aurai apprécié un geste commercial significatif.

C'est un très bel établissement, joliment décoré et très propre. Le personnel est aux petits soins et très accueillant. La nourriture y est exceptionnelle, le service impeccable. On s'y sent très bien ! C'est chaleureux.

Le petit bémol qui n'est pas en rapport avec l'établissement est la petite difficulté à attraper des taxis, il faut être patient et marcher un petit peu.

Absolutely loved this place. Ayoub really looked after me, arranged massage for when I arrived, always seeing if I needed anything. The place is very calm and relaxed. Good breakfast, large spacious rooms in great condition. Nice rooftop pool area. Location is great too, near the beach, marina, tram line. Such a relaxing place. All the staff are so nice, the place is well kept and nicely decorated and an ideal base for the whole of Rabat if you’re staying for business or leisure. Aircon, wife, showers everything was great , loved this place

Dar Shaan is gorgeous and conveniently located in Rabat’s Medina near many major sites. The staff were attentive and accommodating and the food (we made reservations at the Riad for dinner) was some of the best that we had while we were in Morocco. We were quite sad that we only had one night in Rabat. We would absolutely stay again at Dar Shaan and for longer!

Our stay at Dar Shaan in Rabat was wonderful from start to finish. The riad is beautifully decorated, clean, and full of charm, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel at home throughout our stay.

The only downside was the parking situation in Rabat, which can be quite frustrating. Around some parking areas, random people approach drivers asking for money to “watch” the car, which can feel uncomfortable and unorganized. Thankfully, this has nothing to do with Dar Shaan itself, which provided an excellent overall experience.
