Located 2 minute walk from town. Large room (number4) on stilts over the sea. Fantastic views and location. Next to small working jetty (2/3 longtailboats a day) interesting to watch. Lovely friendly staff. Very quiet.

The bed was uncomfortable.

We stayed 4 nights and a pity that we didn’t had the see view. We asked to change the room but seemed to be difficult although they were most of the time empty. That was a pity But we had a good stay

Traumhafter Ausblick. Unterkunft war sehr sauber. Täglicher Zimmerservice. Es gab auch jeden Tag zwei Flaschen Trinkwasser. Nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß direkt zur Hauptstraße von Old Town.

Bad war zwar sauber, aber schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

The tiled bed base. It's a dangerous trip hazard and the corner of the base can easily cause a gashed leg. My wife tripped over the tiled base and cracked a couple of ribs, had a black eye, bruising to her cheek, broke her glasses and caused significant bruising to her bottom. She is still in pain a week after. We accept that the owners pointed out that the tiled base does extend beyond the bed mattress, but unless you are constantly having this at the front of your mind it can be very dangerous. Photo show the tiled bed base. For the owner to point it out suggests it has caused problems in the past.

AMAZING place. Huge room with all the facilities and an incredible deck all to myself. Great location, so peaceful. Felt really luxurious. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

Well kept facility that is clearly well cared for and situated beautifully just outside of old town on the shore. Friendly staff, including a sweet but shy resident cat. Very cozy vibes, with a beautiful view every day and pleasant bird watching. Highly recommend it.

I Talay Lanta es un lugar hermoso si necesitas dormir, desconectar y descansar bien. Lamentablemente estábamos solo de paso; de lo contrario, habría sido un sitio ideal para quedarnos más tiempo. La habitación estaba genial, las camas eran cómodas y las sábanas estaban limpias. Quizás el baño podría haber estado un poco más limpio, pero todo lo demás fue excelente. Estaba justo al lado del old town que eso fue un súper plus!

Nous avons adoré cet endroit insolite et si magnifique. On vit au dessus du début de la mangrove au rythme des marées. Calme et nature, tout ce que j aime.

Very spacious with a good bed and very quiet too. The cleaning was okay, but it could be more thorough - mostly in the bathroom, and the pillows need changing. Nice staff and reliable Wi-Fi. We had a great stay.

Das Bett war Steingarten, duschen war recht kompliziert, man musste den Duschkof in die Badewanne halten, und dann hinein steigen. Der Hahn in der Badewanne funktionierte nicht. Nachts ab ca.03 Uhr war es durch die Motore der Fischerboote nur noch laut. Ich würde abraten.

The people who own this place are very nice, helpful and caring. At night you sleep to the sound of the ocean. The place is quiet which we liked very much. The beds are hard but it did not bother us, we slept good and calm.

Lovely spacious room on the water, exactly like the pictures. It is run by a great family. This was our favourite accommodation across our Thailand trip!

Rock hard bed, I like hard beds but this one is extreme. Polyester sheets and pillow cases. Old town is super empty, you need to go to west side for everything. Would be nice to have a bedside lamb with warm light. Outside has white lights at night, looks bad.

這房間太讚了, 臨海, 房間舒適, 開窗就可以看到海的潮汐、聽著海浪聲睡著醒來。走路就到old town。但在old town邊緣又不會太吵, 是個放鬆休息的好地點。

Bungalow I Talay Lanta surprised me positively, both with the size of the room and its location on the mangroves. No bad smells of sewage, no garbage, plastics, etc. Clean, quiet and a great view from the glass-walled room. In the immediate vicinity there are beautifully located restaurants. The only downside is the lack of bathing, but a scooter or car solves this inconvenience. The Old Town Lanta shopping network encourages shopping.

Basically - nothing.

If you are looking for affordable but at the same time really cosy&clean choice, then this is perfect spot. Only few rooms/bungalows next to fachinating Old Town, just few hundred meters walking to tasty restaurants. There are no beaches on this side of island but simply rent a scooter and it takes 15min to drive to beautiful southern beaches by crossing the island. When returning next time, I Talay will be my choice once again!

Adored the location on the edge of the Old Town, the views were exceptional. Nice and quiet and loved watching the sunrise and all the wildlife right from the room.

More storage for clothes needed, huge room but with only a rail for clothes meant we were living out of the suitcases. Plenty of space for a wardrobe and some drawers would have been appreciated.

Absolutely beautiful location, right on the water.

The location and facilties were great. The property is located at the edge of the old town, but only 2 mins walk away, so is very quiet. The family are really lovely.

On the website the room we booked showed photos where you could site on the side terrace and have a lovely view of the water. Unfortunately a tree has grown right in the middle, so blocking most of that view. You only get uninterrupted views from the 2 from apartments. So if you want that uninterrupted view you have to book one of those. The tree seems to be about 6 years old judging by its size, so the photo on the website is old. I mentioned this to the owner and said it gave a wrong impression on the view from at least one room and he said he would change the photo. The base of the bed has sharp corners. They could put some plastic corner protectors on.

Location was excellent. It was quiet and peaceful!

The style, look and location is excellent. Quiet, large rooms and great value. This has been my favorite place to stay so far out of around 10 hotels on this trip.

I Talay Lanta won our hearts on Koh Lanta. Excellent quiet location over the water, sit back take a deep breath and take the time to enjoy the ride rolling in and out. Room was perfect comfy bed great air conditioner and staff were lovely. A short distance to walk into town for food options. Our only regret was not finding this gem of a place to stay sooner.

Shower didn’t heat up but weather was so hot it was no problem. Son’s room next door was fine.

Quiet, very close to town. Stylish , spacious room. Only stayed one night sadly. Very clean.

Beautiful clean room on the water, just like in the photos. Lovely staff and perfect location by the quiet and charming old town. Great value for money.

Matress was a little bit hard even though I generally like a firmer bed. Shower head did not quite sit right on the wall. Very minor things, the location, wonderul view and staff more then make up for this.

Special thanks for the dimmer in the room, it is a rare opportunity to get the lights right.

Bathroom should get some more love and be renovated. Private parking is possible but only for motorbikes. And no roof cover for the parking.

The room gives off 90's vibes but the service was absolutely great - very clean apartment, exceptional daily cleaning services, new towels everyday, sheets changed every two days. Definitely one of the cleanest rentals in Thailand! Necessary toiletries at one's disposal as well as hairdryer. Complimentary bottles of water in the fridge given everyday as well as an electric kettle and bunch of instant coffees/tees. The room is equipped both with AC and a fan. Very helpful owner - always at our disposal. If asked, he helps to arrange bike rental, one day trips and laundry. The owner greeted us with fresh fruit which was super lovely! The mattress was a tad hard. The hotel is based right next to the Old Town main street. One thing you need to bear in mind when booking one of the rooms is that they are located right above the water which means dealing with low/hight tide which not only means lack of water from time to time but also laud noises when the inflow happens. Nonetheless it was one of our best experiences in Thailand. We highly recommend it! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Better to come at high tide to appreciate the flow under the rooms. Laundry and convenience store not on property. Find your own in town, but that's easy.

The sea view is fantastic!

Perfect location to see old town and to go on the boat tours on offer from the pier. Awesome bars and restaurants around and the locals are super lovely.. the room was clean and comfortable with fresh bottles of water everyday along with housekeeping and our sheets were changed despite us only staying 3 nights. The views are lush and the tide coming in under the property is magical. Very quiet with the call to prayer heard from the local mosque. The perfect relaxing three nights. The hosts were super friendly and gave us tips about renting a scooter they keep to themselves but you are made to feel ever so welcome. 10/10 would return when planning on visiting old town again.

Close to old town , Quiet safe and Ocean front

Exceptional. Everything about this hotel and the people who run it was outstanding. The hotel is located in Old Town which is a nice alternative for those looking for something different to the usual beach scene. It is two minutes walk to the heart of Old Town walking street (but most places are). Five minute walk to the pier for the 4 Islands tour. Our seaview room was very clean, modern, well equipped and spacious. Then there is the ocean view, literally sitting on top of the water at high tide with the waves gently washing under your room. Wi Fi was excellent and the location was very quiet, especially at night. And the two older couple that run the hotel are the most delightful couple we have ever met in Thailand. Extremely lovely and helpful and are very proud of their hotel. Their Grandson Fim is a polite young man who was always around to assist when we needed anything, particularly when language may have been difficult with the owners. Fim even came to the hotel on a day off to arrange a late check out for us. We had one problem with our air con and they couldnt fix it fast enough. Incredible property, service, outlook and location. Highly recommend.

The spectacular view, the great food close by. The charm. The staff were very friendly, and actually helped us generously with a heavily discounted taxi on the way out. The wildlife. The peace and quiet.

Not having anywhere close to swim, that's about it. With a small swimming pool, it would be perfect. I was aware of this, and enjoyed being in the mangroves for a few days, for the peace and quiet and the wildlife, and scenery.
