Everything.I hardly ever give '10's but this one was easy.Everything about Karikari Lodge was fantastic.Lovely hosts,immaculate house,everything you could wish for in a BnB.

Beautiful, clean and well equipped place with lovely owners. I only stayed one night on my road trip but definitely a place worth staying longer. Can highly recommend. Thanks, Katalina and Paul!

Easy to find. Fire going upon arrival - Thanks Catalina Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Plenty of dvd's to choose from Bed was comfy. Breakfast was dimple and sweet; 2 types of cereal, 2 pieces of bread, butter, small pottle of yoghurt & little tub of fruit salad. Shower was nice and hot. Lots of little signs reminding visitors to clean up after themselves. I chose to wash my pot before heating my soup for dinner. Being the only visitor in the lodge was sensational! Cookies were tucked beside microwave - lucky I didn't find them haha I may of eaten them all!

The espresso maker was great when it worked but, a little frustrating to use at times.

Bardzo miły pobyt w domowej atmosferze, pyszna kawa dostępna 24h z ekspresu , duża wspólna przestrzeń , wygodne łóżka i bardzo blisko do poleconej przez właściciela plaży Maitai, Przesympatyczny właściciel. W zasadzie wszystko na plus ... Minusów brak. Polecamy gorąco.

This is a lovely place to stay on the Karikari peninsula. The place feels like a little oasis, was very clean, and full of personal touches. Paul and Catalina were very kind and even shared their paua fritters with us on arrival! Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Karikari peninsula!

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Paul and Katalina for their wonderful hospitality. We had a great time at their place. The courtyard is super cosy, and everything is done with taste and style. The hosts are really nice, and Paul gave us a warm welcome. He told us everything and showed us around. The room we stayed in was really cosy, and the views from the window were amazing. In the evening, Katalina treated us to cookies she had baked herself. We really didn't want to leave, but unfortunately our holiday was limited in time. In the morning, we had a delicious breakfast. We recommend this location for a holiday and this place to stay to everyone.

Parking was limited but adequate on the first night

The location and view from the unit were outstanding. From the veranda there was a view of Karikari beach in the distance across the fields. The unit was compact, however, fantastically equipped with all utensils you may need. Cooking facilities were excellent and the gas barbecue worked well. The separate toilet was very clean and was very good. Our hosts were very kind and gave us lots of tips about the area, which we found very helpful. An excellent and very enjoyable stay.

The room was spacious, clean, neat, and tidy.

We were not greeted by the hosts themselves but by a third person who immediately asked us for payment, even though we hadn't yet placed our luggage in the room. This felt inappropriate and made us uncomfortable. Not quite what we would expect from a lodge. That aside, our hosts were friendly. I personally found the common areas cluttered with too many objects, leaving little room to make the space my own. What was most uncomfortable was sharing the bathroom and other common areas with a group of workers, although they were polite, as the only female guest in an exclusively male environment. The parking is also tight, requiring some coordination to leave the property. Overall, the stay went well, but it was not entirely comfortable.

We stayed in The Pohutukawa Cabin with a view over cattle paddocks to Karikari Beach. Paul & Katalina were excellent hosts and we had the best room. The breakfast provided and the kitchen facilities were more than we expected. It was close to Karikari Winery where we had coffee and dinner the 1st night. The next day we drove to Cape Reinga. We had icecream at Pukenui which was as good as Katalina had told us. We stopped there on our way back and purchased a fantastic Steak and Oyster pie and then had to buy another for tea that evening.

Really enjoyed our stay in this small lodge. Very clean and welcoming. Hosts are so friendly.very nice bed too.lots of nice beaches around

We didn't realise at the time of booking that we had access to our own private spa pool with amazing views of the stunning scenery! The accommodation itself was lovely! Loved all the arty vibes of it all and the hosts were very welcoming!

The only negative I can think of is that there was a lack of privacy in the bathroom due to the windows where anyone could potentially walk past and see you having a shower or doing your business. Could be easily fixed with blinds/curtains.

Absolutely a 10/10 property. It is extremely clean, well maintained, and every detail is carefully thought out—many elements are designed with great attention to detail. The breakfast room is very welcoming, just like the bedrooms. Before our arrival, we were given all the instructions by Katerina. We apologize once again for the delay, and thank you very much for the beautiful location you offered us. Those who stay during Christmas will be able to enjoy the atmosphere thanks to the tasteful decorations. Truly, congratulations.

Sehr netter Empfang und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Landschaften und Strände sind sehr eindrucksvoll. Der Kontakt zu den anderen Gästen war sehr herzlich.

Everything - every facility you could want was there. The fridge was packed with bead, jam, yoghurt, cereal, milk and fruit. The room was warm and comfortable. Our hosts Paul and Katalina are super friendly and happy to advise and inform you of what the North of the North Island has to offer.

For us, there was nothing to dislike.

This was a perfect stay, I just wished I was staying for longer! Hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, the place was very comfortable, clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent - selection of cereal, toast, yoghurt, fruit. Tea and coffee provided. The hosts had thought of everything, this really was an excellent stay and I’d give it higher than 10/10 if possible!

Lovely cottage at a private home. 1.5 hrs to Cape Reinga. Friendly hosts. Private. Well stocked kitchenette. Just a few minutes from the Carrington Estate and Winery, the northernmost winery in NZ.

I put the reed diffusers on the outside porch because I am sensitive to fragrances.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Karikari Lodge. Katalina and Paul were incredibly kind and accommodating. The lodge is comfortable and well equipped. It is very peaceful, and exactly what we needed to relax. We booked an extra night, so stayed 3 nights, not 2 because we enjoyed it so much .

hidden behind the modest frontage of KariKari lodge lies the peaceful vibe, tender care and homely touches of the owners Katarina and Paul. We loved all the plants and unique decorations before relaxing in the comfy armchairs in the lounge. Complementary Fruit, coffee, tee, milk, and biscuits area available any time as well as tasty homemade jams, cereal and toast for breakfast. Everything was clean and the bed comfy. We had a super relaxing time. Sadly our schedule allowed us only one night, but would have wanted to stay longer. KariKari lodge is a great place to stop on the way up to or down from cape Reinga. And the local Maitai beach (5mins drive) is as beautiful as it is fabulous for swimming and snorkelling.

We were unaware that there was only one living area inclusive of beds. No separate bedrooms for four persons.

I've never seen such clean rental accommodation until this little treasure. Amazing smell throughout the whole property, a clean bathroom, and nice soft sheets and towels. As a bonus, a coffee machine with fresh grounded coffee beans made our mornings even more enjoyable. Highly recommended, great price, and a very friendly host.
