La ubicación es buena, pero si vienes en auto el estacionamiento está muy lejos...

El recibimiento fue muy negativo, una mujer que asumo es la encargada, fue grosera, exigió que la una niña de secundaria tuviera doble identificación... absurdo. Los demás empleados muy atentos. La limpieza normal, pero las habitaciones tiene poca ventilación.

La televisión no te indican cómo funciona Y la caja fuerte qué está dentro de la habitación, se encuentra cerrada, que caso tiene tener una caja fuerte si no sé puede usar

La cercanía al centro y el trato amable del personal.

Hotel cleaning, location and food.

They want to charge for everything. Like if I want an extra towel, if I ned more paper toilet. They ask us to pay the bread separately at breakfast time.

La limpieza, el servicio y la atención del personal en todo momento muy atentos. Descansamos muy bien, todo muy limpio. Muy bien la red de internet. Y el aire acondicionado funcionó muy bien.

Un poco lejos del centro pero aprovechamos para hacer ejercicio.

Im writing this at 3:51AM because the hotel phone is ringing since 3:00 they disrespect their guests sleep., not answering their phones calls. Beds are terribly hard, water pressure bad, is understandable that noise from outside hotel can’t control it. I need to move to other hotel for the last two days in Oaxaca , I was waiting to answer this email until I leave this hotel but, this morning noise is unbearable then they start doing noise early morning every day No rest at all No booking with your company anymore I need to move,

It was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was interior so no street noise after long days of sightseeing. It’s about a 10 min walk to Templo de Santo Domingo along beautiful cobblestone streets with plenty of cafes, galleries and bars.

Good location, 5 to 10 min walk to various points of interest. Lots of cafes and shops nearby. Very clean rooms.

It seemed to me that management had a lot of extra fees and rules. 45 pesos per coffee pods 50 pesos for a broken glass Extra fees for early check-ins although the hotel wasn’t busy The terrace bar was closed but we still could not bring our own alcool.

L'emplacement, la propreté irréprochable comme le personnel.

Chambre exiguë. Manque de lumière car fenêtre sur le patio intérieur. Sentiment d'être enfermés. Parties communes inutilisables car pas aménagées et pas chauffées. En février les petits déjeuners sont un calvaire dans une ambiance froide et venteuse vu que le toit est ouvert.... Immeuble peu adapté au co fort hôtelier. Dommage. La direction ne propose pas une salle confortable pour déjeuner ou jouer or la chambres est très petite.

The location was good. About 5-10 minutes walk from the centre.

Staff not friendly. We booked as we were pulling up to the hotel. We seemed to be the only guests in the hotel but they put us in a windowless room. Coffee machine in room but when I asked for capsules they quoted 45 pesos per capsule. Hotel fine for 1 night.

No window. Breakfast is a kind of joke. You got your menu it you’re informer you can have continental only. 2 slices of toast bread, jam and butter.. like .. really? Just delete this option as this is so embarrassing.

Quaint and nice

The internet was horrible! You had to leave the room to get the internet. It was my bday and I asked if I could borrow a knife and two small plates and I was told by the staff they could not authorize. I was going to borrow it not steal it. We ate my cake on napkins! lol worse yet, we went to the terrace to si f happy bday and take pics and the very same guy came and told us we could not be up there since there was no waiter. I told him we did not require service that all we were doing is enjoying my cake. He was rude but I still offered him a slice of which he denied it. I did not leave and of they didn't want up there seeing the view from the balcony why not lock the gate? Instead it was wide open.

Location was great. Easy walk to the center of town. Nice ambiance. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Air conditioning. Good hot water shower. Daily maid service.

Roofdeck bar closed, but roofdeck open. Hotel front door closed early evening (like 9PM?) after which we had to knock for entry. (Someone always quickly let us in).

Das Hotel verfügt über einen schönen, offenen Innenhof mit gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten und überzeugt durch seine gute Lage nahe des Zentrums. Der Check-in war sehr freundlich, und gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis konnten wir auf Wunsch früher einchecken. Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett sehr groß und bequem, zudem angenehm klimatisiert. Oben eine Terrasse bietet einen schönen Ausblick.

Leider hat der Aufenthalt durch den Service einige deutliche Schwächen gezeigt. Das Personal wirkte überwiegend unfreundlich und sehr zurückhaltend, die Kommunikation war aufgrund geringer Englischkenntnisse häufig schwierig – teils musste über den Google-Übersetzer gesprochen werden, was nicht immer zuverlässig funktionierte. Besonders ärgerlich war die Situation mit der Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer: Kaffee bzw. Pads waren nicht vorhanden, und auf Nachfrage wurde erklärt, dass diese extra kosten würden. Das empfinden wir als wenig kundenfreundlich, denn wenn bereits eine Maschine im Zimmer steht, erwartet man üblicherweise, sie auch direkt nutzen zu können. Eine weitere Enttäuschung: Eine Flasche Wasser am Abend wurde ebenfalls verweigert, mit der Begründung, der Service sei bereits beendet. Auch das inkludierte Frühstück war eingeschränkt. Obwohl es „Frühstück inklusive“ heißt, erhält man lediglich ein Standardgericht mit 2 Toastscheiben, Marmelade, Früchten und Kaffee – Aufpreise gelten für alles darüber hinaus. Insgesamt hat dieser mangelnde Kundenservice den Aufenthalt leider negativ beeinflusst, was sehr schade ist, da das Hotel grundsätzlich Potenzial hätte.

La ubicación, la seguridad y la atención del personal.

Se me cayó algo y al recogerlo debajo de la cama, se nota que no es algo que limpian con frecuencia, encontré la copa de una brasier.

Esta un poco cerca del hotel ,así estuvo bien muy tranquilo y sin ruido .

Lo único que no tenía ventana no corría aire

It was close to everything but when I asked for an extra towel I was told that would cost 50 pesos……like really.

They nickel and dime you everything you ask for is an extra charge…..like extra towel.

The location was perfect. Close enough to walk to everything, far away enough not to be in noise at night. The gentleman carried our luggage to our room and parked our car in a safe and gated location. Made us feel welcome.

The bed was a bit hard for me. We could only get 1 room key!

It is a very beautiful hotel about 4 street away from the Zocalo. Bedroom and bathroom very beautiful and confortable. Staff was amazing!

Staff was very helpful and friendly! Food goo! Daniel receptionist very helpful! He made a trip to different places for us! Gerardo Peña was our driver and he is really good! Shaid out waiter and receptionist very friendly! Loved to stay at this hotel!

Las instalaciones estan bellísimas y ambas noches llegamos muy tarde y el chico de la recepción fue muy educado y amable.

pero honestamente no me dieron la habque pedí, me dieron una en la.planta de abajo sin ventanas y la unica ventana que habia daba a un cuarto de servicio donde ambos días el.personal no reparaba en hacer un escandalo. Entiendo que trabajen pero deberian moderar carcajadas y gritos del.personal desde las 6 am hacen un escandalo muy incomodo y ruidoso por un lado esta padre que estén felices pero llegue a pensar que era intencional no pudimos descansar .

Solo llegue a dormir, la atencion fue buena, no puedo opinar mas

Property should advised future occupants that parking is offsite the property and you have to have someone to go with you to either take out or in your vehicle. We had a few issues.. no toilet paper when we arrived, we needed new towels , not shampoo. I when to the front desk and they could not resolved the issue. They said to wait to the next crew that comes in at 11pm. Unbelievable. It was a pain in the neck to park your car offsite the property.

The location is very good and the rooms are well- equipped. A car park is available and staff organises everything.

Regarding reservations with breakfast included, breakfast consists of coffee, fruit or juice and two tosts with jam and butter. A disappointment if you consider that it's not mexican style and the majority of places we stayed in offered mexican breakfast. There is a menu for mexican breakfast though, but you pay for it. Not a big deal for us at that moment, but I imagine it could be disappointing for someone who gets to Mexico for the first time.

The room and location were good. The front door is locked on a night for security.

It would be good if the front door had some kind of bell or knocker. One night, I was banging on the door for quite a while before the staff on duty noticed and let me in. The breakfast offered with booking is pointless. It's essentially a cup of coffee and a slice of toast. This wasn't a huge problem as I just went out for breakfast elsewhere, but it was disappointing.

Beautiful hotel, the inside was so relaxing, rooms were spacious, staff were very accommodating. Close to all attractions - food and the centre were only a ten minute walk away.

The parking included is not large enough to fit a van.

Loved staying here the staff was incredible, friendly, and helpful ( it felt like home). The food was excellent and the rooms were well done, air conditioning excellent, and great beds. However it was the staff that made it so great. From the front desk, housekeeping, food service, and the manager all were incredible. We will definatly return to Casa Mercedes!!

Our plans changed and we needed to depart a few days early. As stated in Expedia and on the hotelʻs website no refunds/returns are provided. Lesson learned Iʻll be careful to review such policies in future bookings. Noise. Street noise was surprisingly minimal. But at 11:36 pm during my stay I told the desk clerk it was hard to sleep with his radio or podcast playing. He turned it down but not off…used it on subsequent nights too. Hotel/kitchen staff seemingly arrive around 0700 each morning. They converse and soon after the restaurant opens making it difficult to sleep any later. Restaurant food/service was ok on our first morning but we elected to eat elsewhere the following days. Was a convenient location. Room was clean and comfortable. Everything worked. My bus arrived in Oaxaca after midnight and this hotel doesnʻt allow checkins after that time so I had stayed in another hotel my first night. Then transferred to this one. If returning to Oaxaca Iʻd choose the other hotel over this one.

Easy to get around.

Not very clean.

The hotels entrance and patio are the only attractive parts of this property. The rooms had no windows or fresh airflow. They were musky and damp until the A/C was turned on. The beds were rundown and only dressed with a fitted sheets and a comforter. Pillows were thin and uncomfortable. We used t-shirts on them as they did not look clean. The towels were old and shabby, we reported a broken toilet lid and clogged sink and was never fixed for the full stay, housekeeping was limited to only a wipe down and turndown service. Dirty mugs were in one room on day 1. Of the 4 rooms each had individual issues with water pressure and water temperature. The food at the restaurant had very a limited menu and not worth it. The roof deck was never open or offered an explanation of it being locked. Management did very little to make us feel welcome as opposed to the staff who were more interactive and pleasant.

We loved this understated well appointed hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We would have like more towels.

The property is well maintained and is 4.5 blocks from the zocalo (main square) and cathedral with many shops and a few mini grocery stores and bakeries along the way. Of course lots of shops and restaurants in all directions and a lovely church and square with a fountain a few steps away - a place of solitude. Although our room did not have a window, it had a high ceiling and had plenty of space so it was not a problem and it was on the back side and thus far from the road noise and thus quiet. The bed was firm and comfortable enough and the sheets and towels were nicely adequate. The a/c worked well. The lovely courtyard hosted a nice continental breakfast each morning. The staff was welcoming and helpful although English was very minimal. We appreciated the provided bottled water.

It took a long time in the morning for the hot water to appear (after running the shower more than 5 minutes).

We liked the central location. It is close to everything yet just far away enough to be quiet and peaceful. The property is built around a lovely dining area. The rooms are very clean, and the beds are comfortable for sleeping.

Being a 3 star hotel there is not the same attention to detail, though this did not dramatically detract from the experience. The terrace was never open and we would have loved to have food and drinks there. The rooms did not have windows, though for us this was not an issue as the darker room was great for sleeping. The included continental breakfast of a small plate of fruit and 2 toasts is very simple. It is a good hotel that with a bit more attention could be great.

Location, cleaness, good price

The breakfast included was insufficient. You have to choose between coffee or tea, juice or fruits and you have 2 toasts. The fruits were limited and too few. Just 3 thin slices of banana, 3 thin slices of apple and water mellon . I strongly recommend to book without breakfast and take your breakfast in another place. They charge 45MXC for an expresso capsule. A coffee with sparkling water at the coffee shop at the other side of the street costs 35MXC.

Great location, nice having a bar and restaurant on the property, rooms are good size and fairly comfortable.

Very noisy during the daytime and evening. It’s quiet from about 10-6 at night but if you’re jet lagged and want a nap it’s hard due to voices and hotel noise in the central courtyard.

Daniel and the staff were the best!! The bed was comfortable, nice bathroom. The location was excellent. Great air conditioning. They keep the hotel clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

It was too dark in the room. I would have liked coffee pods in my room every day, the hotel could use an ice machine (United States people like ice!) It was noisy because of hard surfaces, but that did not really bother me. Other than that everything was great.

Excellent location and good facilities; very comfortable setting for exploring the city. I did request upper rooms and of course, that was not promised nor delivered; however all in all, we enjoyed the hotel, the staff were very friendly and accommodating; tried hard to meet our needs despite the challenges of language. All in all, would recommend this hotel esp for its value.

Excelente opción ubicada a unos pasos del centro pero lejos del ruido. Nosotras no llevamos auto pero es muy seguro para moverse caminando a todos los puntos importantes de la zona, aún en la noche (dos mujeres solas). La limpieza y mantenimiento del lugar son excelentes, cuidan hasta el más mínimo detalle en todo momento. Pensamos que sería un hotel más básico, pero la habitación Jr Suite es muy amplia y con todo lo necesario como caja de seguridad, cafetera con cápsulas, botellas de agua que resurten diariamente, aire acondicionado, el agua de la regadera con muy buena presión y temperatura, además de que este tipo de habitación tiene dos buenas ventanas. Las camas son bastante cómodas y todo está perfecto para descansar. Tomamos desayuno en su restaurante varias veces y todo estuvo delicioso y a muy buen precio, funciona desde antes de las 7:30am y nos quedaba perfecto para salir temprano a algunos tours. Importante destacar la amabilidad y excelente atención y servicio de todo el personal. Todo estuvo genial y definitivamente lo recomiendo.

The location of the hotel was lovely. Just outside of el Centro and an easy walk to get anywhere. Our room was an interior king, so dark with adequate lighting. We were disappointed in the details. Coffee maker in room, but no coffee. Genius continental breakfast was confirmed in app, but not honored. At first this was fine because Oaxaca has so many excellent cafes and restaurants. On our last day though, and after confirming we were "owed" breakfast, my partner who had to stay in the hotel and do some work, ordered coffee and a juice. We were then charged and the agreement not honored. Left a bad taste. There is a nice rooftop deck, but it looks like no one ever goes up there. Overall, not a lot of welcoming energy, but it did the trick.

Very helpful staff, great location. Convenient restaurant on premises and an excellent coffee shop across the street. Bed is hard, and it gets noisy at 7:00 a.m. when the kitchen staff starts talking loudly in the courtyard and the sound echoes off all the tile floors and walls. (Maybe the upper floor would be quieter.)

Location was great! Area was safe and quiet and just a few blocks from the Zoccola, restaurants and markets and attractions. Staff were excellent; friendly & helpful. Our group of 3 couples enjoyed having the terrace and pleasant courtyard to gather in for breakfast, snacks and drinks after a hard day of touring. Continental breakfast of toast, coffee & fruit could be fleshed out with delicious, healthy, hearty options. Dinner menu was perfect for when you just didn't feel up to going out after a long day.

It is hard to find anything bad to say about this property. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and worked so well together to help each other out. The room was beautifully kept, very clean and in good condition with no real maintenance needed. The guests were of all ages and there were full rooms over the holidays. The breakast was a great quality food and with really great service. Nothing was too much to ask from this team. Daniel is always at the desk and keeps the place in good running order. I would stay here again without a doubt.

Based on where the hotel is based, you always have to walk to the zocolo for food in the evening, as the restaurants closer to the hotel close before dinner. Also, the manager was there every day from breakfast onwards and never spoke with us to at all, just ignored us while we were sitting at the table beside her. Not the best behaviour for the hospitality industry. It would be good if this hotel had an environmental program so they are not changing towels and bedding every day for guests who are staying a few days. They send their laundry out to be cleaned and with the current climate crisis, they could be more conscious and offer guests the choice of reusing towels and bedding.
